Lyle came & stayed all nite

Cold wind. snowed in nite.

Ivard & I got up at 4:30 AM & took Dale on his Paper route & Ivard got his Check. Came home & I cooked a big breakfast & got everyone up to eat. I wiped wood work & floor in my bathroom & waxed it & got things put away. Ray worked at D.q. all day. Ivard left for work at 2:30 & got home about midnite. I started to clean my bed room & at 5: I stoped & we all went to Bank & paid some bills. Came home & ate & I finished doing my bed room & worked on my books. At 9:30 Lyle & family came to Spend nite got Kids to bed & listened to New Year in across nation on radio & played games. When Ivard came we played Penochle & had snack, Barbra brought Went to bed about 1:30 AM.

Wednesday, December 30, 1964

Simplots went down

Cold wind, it was 32° when I came home from work, We got laid off again on account of gas shortage, until called. Stoped & signed for unemployment Taylors were here putting carpet on Stairs, $65. Ivard & Kids went & got another bunch of stuff from old house. I had short nap & read my new relief society magazine.

Ivard went to work on Wilder local at 2:30. Kids went up town & got groc. & we ate at 4:15. Dale went over to Buttlers. I catalogued my Xmas.

I fixed supper & we were just finishing eating when Lyle came (down to get Terry from Metcalf's) they left for home at 8:. Dean & Dale went to Piano lesson. Jerry & Ray went to Johnsons to Dairy q Party. Home Teachers Came.

Tuesday, December 29, 1964

31° when I came home, snow skiffs on road, cloudy all day snowed awhile tonite. I came home & ate & went to bed & read paper. Ivard was already home & in bed (7:30)

Ivard got up & him & Kids got rest of stuff out of old house & cleaned it. still have garage & fruit room to do. Ray & Jerry worked at D. q. cleaning. 11: till 3: Ray went to dentist & had tooth filled. I woke up at 2:30 & when Kids came Jerry, Ray, Dean, Dale & I went up town & bought another hall rug & stuff for Jerrys drapes. got groc. & came home & ate & Ivard went to work on Boise at 8:30. I worked on books & went to bed at 9:30 & went to work at 11: Ivard got home at midnite.

Monday, December 28, 1964

snowed real hard on me on way home from work then it cleared up & roads dried off. Ivard was home & in bed. I ate & read paper & went to bed. Dean cleaned up & got some more boxes unpacked. Jerry went to work at D.q. cleaning 10: to 4: Ray went gading all day.

Ivard got up & hauled some fruit. I got up at 2: & washed some cloths & Arnie Wilcott came & I signed papers then Ivard & I went up town & I bought my rug for hall, & got 50. sheet laway out I've had for 2 yrs.

Ivard left on beet job after we ate & droped Ray & Dean off at Gails to go to basketball game. I went to bed after I treated Jackies hair for bugs, got 22. shampooed it. Went to work at 11:

Jerry_ Ray Dean & Dale went to priesthood. Ivard stayed in bed. I got up & washed Jackies & my hair & she got ready & Ray came & took her to S. S. I washed 4 batches of cloths & iorned all morning

Kids came home & we fixed dinner & ate. Ivard built a fire in fireplace & we went down stairs & worked a puzzle. Lyle & family came about 3: & Gail a little later. I about went crazy with all the Kids running in & out. Ivard left for work at 7: & right after Gail went & Lyle left for Baker, Barbra gave Jackie Pernmant & found bugs in her hair (she been itching crazy. Sunny & windy.

Ivard left for work at Marshing at 7: AM & got home about midnite.

We ate breakfast & Lyle left for Metcalfs about 11: Jerry & Dean went up & loaded up some stuff at other house & Jerry worked a couple of hrs at D. q.

I washed cloths & iorned all afternoon. Jerry & Dean cleaned house & Ray worked on his room. then we went up town & got a Permament Kits for Jackies hair & I got Lyle, Gail & Dale a shirt for their birthday.

We went up to Gails at 6:30 & played games. Came home about 10:40 & went to bed.

Gail Dale went to learn his paper route.

Friday, December 25, 1964

Lyle & family came & stayed all nite.

We got up at 4:30 A.M & opened our presents & Ivard left for work at Marshing at 7:30 till midnite 11:30. Gail came & we we exchanged presents just before Ivard left then me & Kids went over to Gails for Xmas breakfast & try out their new waffle iorn. We played games & came home about 11:. Lyle & family came at noon & Ivard came home for lunch. We had gift exchange with Lyle & played games & ate supper about 4:30. Gail came again this afternoon & played games. Lyle stayed here all nite. When Ivard came we played penochle. I was dead when I went to bed.

Ivard left for Marshing to work at 6:30 A.M till midnite. Gail Dale went with Gail on route today & Jerry & I took him up to M & W at 7:30 A.M. & bought our Xmas groc. $71. worth & went to & bought a new bike at Western Auto for Dale. We went to town 6 times. today wrapped presents & cleaned up house Jerry worked at D.q. a hr. him & I played Santa Clause had to go up to D.q at midnite & get Dales bike Ivard came & helped us finish. We went to bed at 2:30 & I was cold & never did get to sleep.

Sent Gene letter & his money

Warm & real cloudy - floods every place can't get out of state, roads closed.

Ivard left for Nyssa to work at 6:30 AM & Kids went to school. Jerry wrapped presents & I started letter to Gene & finished it at D.q. when I took Jerry to work 10: to 8: I went & mailed it & went to Caldwell & got laway & to Simplots & got my check & to bank & put dimes in my account & had Int. posted in our books. Came back & signed for unemployment & stoped at Venices & got Typewritter I bought from Kay & Sheri brought up. Went to D.q & had snack & waited awhile for Dean then came home & they were home. Ate & Dean & Dale went to Piano lesson. When they came home I went up to D.q. & got Jerry from work.

61° real hard wind all day & rained hard all evening. Ivard left for Nyssa to work at 7: AM & Kids went to school I got up & worked on my books when Jerry got up he cleaned up the house good, after his party last nite and I iorned his shirts & pants 23, & 7 other things & washed a couple of batches then I got ready & Jerry & I went & Pd. bills, did little shopping & got Genes bank draft to send then we picked Jackie up at school at 3: & went to D.q & met Dean after we did a little more shopping then at 4:30 Dean & Jerry droped Jackie & I off at dancing, Xmas party, then Jerry & Dean went shopping & Jerry went to work at 6: to close & Dean came & got us & we came home & ate & got ready & went to Ward Xmas Party. Jackie did a tap number real good. Went by D. q. & Dale cleaned yard. Came home at 10: & worked on my books. Went & got Jerry at midnite Ivard came at 12:30. I went to bed at 1:40 AM.

Pacific upholstery brought our chair

windy but warmer. Ivard left for Nyssa to work at about 5: A.M got home about 11: P.M. Kids went to school. Jerry & I went to Safeways & got groc & stuff for M-Men Gleaner Party & left Ray at D.q. to work for Jerry awhile, 10: came home and Jerry went to work so Ray could go to dentist at 11:30 & have tooth filled. I spent nearly all day makeing jello salads for Jerrys Party. Kids came at 5: & we ate & got house cleaned up. Jerry & I dashed into Gails & got punch set, after Lynda left & got Dean.

At 7: Jerry left for Stake House to go Xmas carroling with Stake M Men & Gleaners & Ray & I made relish trays & Candy decorations for Party after. They came about 10: & had lunch & gift exchange. There were 66 of them. They were all gone by midnite. real nice. Ray left for Utah at 11:30 train was 3 hrs late, rode up with one of ladys here.

Cold wind all day. Ivard got home from work about 7:30 & came to bed. I read paper & got up. Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & droped Jerry off at D.q to work until 5: Ray laid in bed. At 10: Jackie & I went to Sunday School to Xmas programe. Came home & fixed dinner & we ate & they decorated the Xmas Tree.

Gail & family came awhile then they left at 4:30 & Ray went to work at 5: & we went in & got the car & loaded them both & got Jerry & came home & unloaded & got ready for church. Ivard & I, Jerry, Dean, Dale & Jackie went. It was Xmas programe by choir. It was real good. Came home & had snack & went to bed. Ivard didn't work Today.

hard wind all day & cold

Ivard came home from work about 7:30 & came to bed. I didn't get up very early.

Jackie & Dean stayed home & helped Ivard haul stuff from other place & Jerry _ Ray, Dale & I went to town Xmas shopping & got groc. When he came home Dean had house about cleaned & he finished rest tonite, did all the tile floors & had them waxed did the big play room too. I fixed supper & we ate & Ivard had to go to work at 7: on beet job. Jerry & Ray went to work at D.q 6: to close. I stayed up & worked watched T. V. until it went off the air. Simplots are down until Dec. 28th.

I went to Dr. lost 5 lbs

hard cold wind all day

We didn't get up very early Kids went to school. I spent all morning cleaning the bathroom, wipeing off tile & wood work & cleaning lables off the tub, basin & toiled & put waxed floor & got towels put away. Ivard & Ray were all day moveing more furniture from other place. I made out my payments to mail & at 5: Ivard, Ray & I went up town & I went to Dr at 4: lost 5½ lbs. Ray bought a Xmas tree & we got Jerry from work at D.q. worked all day. We ate. Ivard marked up & I had to go to work at 7: on beet job. Betty Coats & Cleah Callahan came & got Ray & Jerry & they went to Boise to a Party. I went to bed early.

My 30th Anniversary. Moved into our new home. got 3 phones in & overstuffed cleaned

bitterly cold & hard wind

Ivard got off & borrowed Wally Brysons truck & we moved enough stuff that we could stay in our new house today. Ray helpedh im all day & Jerry. I came out & helped get things streightened around after I loaded the car & packed stuff. We picked Kids up in at other place after school & got beds set up & some of them made. Gail came & told us happy birthday anniversary & told us they'd all gone in & got us 30 red roses, Jerry brought them with him when he got Kids & they gave us $25. to go out on town but it was so cold & we were so tired that we took Petersons truck home & went to Harmony & had supper & came home & went to bed. Still have $20. left to go on later. Ray took Kids to D.q & bought their supper when Jerry went to work at 6: To close. Kids made rest of beds.

Jerry got home from Utah

Simplots went down

real cold. I came home from work & went to bed, I was about froze. Ivard was home & in bed. He got up in 3 hrs & went & borrowed Wally Brysons truck & Petersons & him & Ray started to move things to our new house, davenport T.V'S ect. Ray went to work at 10: for Jerry but Jerry got home from Utah at 10:10 so he worked & Ray came home. I got up & helped pack.  Gail came at 6:30 & they were just going to load deep freeze & Ivard had to go to work at 7: & got stuck so they got him out & he left. I washed cloths all afternoon.

Simplots went down on account of oil shortage (N.gas) got down to 2° above. went & had oil change & greese job on Dodge. Went to bed early Kids didn't go to Piano lessons.

real cold. I came home from work froze & went to bed got warm & we went to bank, Paid bills & sent mothers Xmas pkg & went & signed papers & pd final closeing costs & we now have a new home. came home & went to bed and Ivard went to work at 3:

Lyle got up & Barbra fixed breakfast & they were about through eating when I got home they left at 10: when we went up town. Lyle had business at Wards for hr & they went home.

Lyle & family came & stayed all nite

cold. I came home from work & went to bed. Jerry & Ray wrapped Xmas Presents most of the day. Jerry had to go work a couple of hrs at lunch hr. They bought Mother a warm, big, pretty pInk sweater & they got her Present ready to mail.

Ray worked for Jerry tonite from 6: to close. & Ivard & Kids took Jerry to train but it was late, never left until 10:30, they went shopping & to Gails. got home at 10: & Lyle & family came & we got them to bed. Lyle ahd to come down on store business. Pacific Upholstery came & got old recliner chair to recover $79. I never did get any sleep tonite. Went to work at 11:

Ray Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & Ray came & took Jackie to Sunday S. I washed Jackies hair & read paper & washed 4 batches cloths. Jerry went to work 10: to 5:

Me & Kids went up to Gails & they weren't home. When we came back they were here.

I wrapped Xmas presents all morning, until Kids got home. Ray went to hospital to see Mrs Weaver then took Dean & Dale looking at Xmas trees & I helped Jackie wrap presents, then I laid down awhile & got ready & went to church. I had to talk, tell about Gene & his mission because Ivard was in Emmett. It was real interesting, each of the 7 missionaries parent talked. Went to bed until time to go to work at 11:30

Jerry & I went to Boise shopping

Sunny & not to cold. Ivard left for Emmett, drove, until Monday nite at 8:, Ray rode to work with him. Jerry took Jackie up to Gails, Dale stayed all nite & went on milk route. At 9: Dean went up to H.S to debate all day & at 9:30 Jerry & I went to Boise & I got most of my Xmas shopping done.

Jerry bought me shrimp dinner. We got home at 4: & wrapped presents until 5:15 then went to get Ray, met him on curve came home & Dean came & at 6: Jerry went to work. I fixed all my Xmas cards & wrote letters in 10 of them.

Ray went up & got Dale & Jackie at 7: & Dale went & cleaned D. q. yard & Ray went to dance. he brought Jerry home at 11:45 & we went to bed. Dean did up work.

nicer today & not too cold. I came home from work & read paper & went to bed couple of hrs.

Jerry worked 11:45 until 1:30 then when he came home we went out to our new place & measured windows & fireplaces & came home & got Jackie & went up town & bought 2 grates for fireplace & a screen for basement fireplace & ordered 3 phones. Came home & got Dean, Dale & Ray & went up to Ward & had our supper at bzzar, fried chicken, bought few things.

brought Kids back to D.q. & they got car & went home. Jerry worked 6: till Close. Ivard & I & Jackie went back up town & Jackie did her Xmas shopping. Came home at 8:30 & I went to bed. My nite off. Ivard didn't work today.

Thursday, December 10, 1964

36° when I came home form work. rained all nite after mid-night & real hard all morning most of day. I got home at 8:30 & ate & read paper & went to bed at 9:30, Ivard was still asleep. I woke up at 1: & couldn't go back to sleep so I worked on books & got up at 2:15 & got my diary up.

Jerry worked early on lunch hr today went 11:15 to 1: then he started supper & went up town until 3:10

Ivard & I played a game of Scrabble & I finished supper. Jerry & Ray went up town shopping & brought Jackie home from Primary. We ate & Jerry went to work 6: to close.

I went to bed until time to go to work.

roads were icy comeing from work but it was starting to thaw. Car wheel kept grabbing so when I got home Ivard took it up to Dobbs & had it checked. I ate & read paper & went to bed at 9:45. I woke up at 11: & couldn't sleep so I washed some cloths & messed around

Jerry worked 11:45 to 1:30 & 6: to Close Ray was gone to work when I got home & droped in a min. at lunch hr.

snowed during nite about 2 in, but it wasn't very slick. I read paper & went to bed at 9:30. Ray was to work when I got home. I was so tired i never woke up until 3:30 when Jerry called me to come & get him at D.q., snowing again. He worked 11:45 till 3:30. Jackie was there too so we went up to M & W to get her some boots but they didn't ahve any so we brought Jerry home & went up town & got her some then went to dance lessons. It really snowed hard all evening. Came home at 6:20 & Jerry was to work, 6: to close, & they'd eaten. Jackie & I ate & I went to bed until time to go to work, left early, 10:45.

Monday, December 7, 1964

18° in Caldwell & 26° in Nampa when I came home from work. I ate & read paper & got ready & Arnie Wilcott came & took us up to Home Federal to apply for loan on new house. Came home at 11: & I went to bed & Ivard left for Bend, Oregon, some guy picked him up. Ray was to work when I got home. I didn't get much sleep but I stayed in bed clear till time to go to work at 11: Had to get up at 3:30 & take Jerry up to work for Edith & he worked 3:30 till close. I went back to bed. Kids fixed their own supper

Gail & family came awhile but didn't come in & see me & Dale told them I was awake.

I changed all the beds & washed cloths all day. Dean cleaned front room & Kitchen & Dale cleaned their bedroom. I helped Jerry make their beds & Dean helped me make mine.

Jerry took Ray to work at noon & We went up & bought groceries then we came home & I took Dean up to get hair cut then Jerry & I went & got feed, pd. Wards & got Ray. We ate & Jerry went to work at 6: till close.

I came home from work at 8:45, went in office & borrowed 1000. from Credit Union for new house. real estate guy came at 9:30 & we signed contract. If bank approves it we will have new house. I went to bed at 11: & Ivard left for Nyssa to go to Bend, Oregon until Sat. nite.

Jerry worked 11:45 to 1:30 & 6: to 7: then him, Dean & Dale, went to Caldwell to "Messiah"

Ray came home from work & stayed home tonite & listened to ball game him & Sis. I was so tired I went to bed at 7:

I woke up at 2: when Ivard left to get hair cut, never got home till 4:30, went to R.R., he wont work today, too many times out. I washed socks & Ivard helped turn them. Dale went & cleaned D.q. yd. I went & got Sis from Primary at 5:15 after we ate.

foggy when I came home rained all day & tonite. I came home & ate & read paper & went to bed at 9:30. Jerry woke me up at 3:20 to talk to real estate guy. Jerry fixed supper, frozen dresseing & turkey I had in freezer we just got through eating at 5:15 when Ivard got home from Emmett. I wrote to Gene & figured out bills & Ivard & Jackie went up to Credit Union of R.R to see if we could get money for new house. Ray had bath & went to Stanley Party, Dale went & cleaned D.q. yard in rain. Jerry worked at D.q 11:45 to 1:30 & 6: to close. I went to bed at 7:30 until time to go to work

mostly cloudy. Ray & Dean went to Priesthood, Gail brought Dale home to late to get ready. Jerry was half sick so he stayed home He took Dale & Jackie up to Sunday school & came home & wrapped Xmas presents & cooked dinner while I iorned him some shirts. I iorned until 4:30 & just stoped for dinner. Iorned 66 pieces & washed 3 batches.

breezy- thawing.  I took Ivard up to Rail Road at 8: & he went to Emmett until Monday nite. Gail came & got Dale just as we left to go on route & brought him home at 4: & he went & got hair cut & cleaned D. q yard & Gail picked him up there & he went & tended Kids & stayed all nite.

Ray went to work at 8:30.

Dean cleaned house & Jerry & him & Jackie went & got me some more material for Rays Costume then went up to Santa Parade & I cut out Rays bellaro & got his costume finished Jerry went to work 6: to close Ray came home & got ready for Gold & Green ball, had date with Nancy Croft left at 8:45 I bathed & went to Gold & Green ball & saw Ray in floor show. came home at 11: & watched show.

Jerry_ Dean & Dale went to Boise Xmas shopping all day. Ray went to work, his boss took him to Dr. & his toe is broken from dropping lumber on it last week. Ivard & I played Scrabble then I sewed all afternoon on Rays costume

There was 4 in. of snow when we woke up. I got up & put 22 lb turkey in oven. Jerry_ Ray & Dean had to work at D. q. 11: to 6: Jerry went at 10:15 to shovel snow. Lyle came at 10: & got Stanley & they went to Metcalfs for dinner & were going home early. I made dressing & Jello salad & sewed on Rays costume Ivard & I played Scrabble. We ate our dinner at 6:30 when Kids came_ Gail stoped in just as we were going to eat for few min. I was so upset & nervous from sewing I hollared at every one. I went to bed about 7: Ray went to dance practice. Jerry & Dean went messing around awhile

Wednesday, November 25, 1964

Lyle came

rained most of nite & a little today & again tonite.

Kids went to school at 8:30, Jerry took them. Ray went to work.

I washed cloths & sewed & made 4 carrot Puddings. Ivard scrubbed back porch & walks & did dishes.

Lyle & family got here about 11:30 until 3:30 then went up to Gails came back at 5:30 for supper & went back to Gails to stay all night, Stanley stayed here.

We went to store & got 10 pies put in freezer. & I got supper

rained most of nite and on & off today. We got laid off for holidays until Sunday nite. I came home & laid down a hr but didn't get to Sleep when Arnie Wilcott came & took ups up to bank to apply for loan on new place, doesn't sound very favorable. came home & went & spent my whole check, $51., on groc. got 25lb turkey.

I fixed supper & we ate when Ray got home from work. Jerry worked 11:45 to 4: from 6: till close

At 6:30 Ivard, Jackie & I went over to Terrace Drive Inn & saw Two good shows, rained the whole time. got home at 11:30 & I was dead

36° when I came home & a little foggy- foggy all day.

I came home from work & Ivard was already home, passed Ray & Jackie up at corner. Ivard went to bed & I ate & read paper & went to bed at 9:30 Jerry went to work at 11:45 to 1:35. I woke up at 1:40 & Ivard was gone & never showed up until about 5:30, been over to Brumbles in Meridian

I washed some cloths & fixed supper & we ate and Jerry went to work 6: to close Ivard went home teaching with Mr. Allen. Ivard has his miles in & can't work any more until Friday. I went to bed until Time to go To work at 11: rained most of nite.

sunny all day. Ivard was home in bed & Ray was just leaving for work at 8:30.

Real estate guy called & said the builder had accepted our place in trade.

I ate & went to bed & read paper it was about 10:30 before I went to sleep time Kids left & phone ect., then Ray woke me at noon when he came home. I woke up again at 2:30 & Ivard got up & watched foot ball. I got books up.

I came home from work & Ray was still in bed, he called & laid off work to go to Dr. Daines about his throat, it has never healed since he had his tonscils out. Dr said he had cut out the sac that makes his head collagate, it will grow back in time. He went on route with Gail & I had to take him Ivard up to get car to go to work at 5:30. I went to bed at 9:00 & Ivard got home about 9:30. Kids went up Town before Jerry went to work at 10:

The real estate guy brought owner of new house to see if he'd take our place equity as down payment. Haven't heard if he will. I spent most of day washing & makeing a Perse hanger for closet for Mother birthday.

Jerry went to work at D.q 11:45 to 1:30 then got hair cut.  At 2: Ivard & I went out & looked at new house again, sure hope we can get it, a lot more done now. Kids went to school and Ivard went to Nyssa to work, got bumped tonite.

Real estate guys came & looked at our place to see if we can trade it on new house.

I didn't wake up until Kids were gone to Priesthood & neither did Ivard, his day off. I read paper in bed & worked on puzzle. Jerry Ray_Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & S.S & didn't come for Jackie so father drove her up. I had dinner at noon & we ate & at 1:30 Jerry went to meeting at Stake House then to work at D.q. 5: to close

At 3: the real estate guy came & took us all out to see new house on greenhurst above Ediths Loos drive, first time Ivard or Ray had seen it & they really liked it, Ivard told him to go ahead & see if we could swing it. He brought us home & went up to Gail until time to go to church & we all went to church.

I had bath & went to Dr. at 10: had blood sugar test, everything was OK.  I've lost 3 more lbs, have a lot of water retention this time.

Jerry went to work at D.q 11:15 to 1:30 & 6: to close, he cooked supper. I crocheted awhile then iorned all afternoon & washed some cloths. At 4:30 I took Dean up to interview guy at unemployment agency & to free Press & went after Ray but he had walked home picked him up at Dq. Came home & ate & Jerry went to work. Jack & I walked up to D.q & back & at 7:20 Ray & I went out to Ediths to Stanley Party, came home at 10:30 & went to bed & Ray went some place until after midnite. Ivard got home at 1:45 AM

I finished embroidering linen scarf & started to crochet an edge on it.

We ate & Jerry went to work at D.q 6: to close & Ray took Kids out to Hurrens to Piano lesson. I walked up to hyway & back for my exercise .6 of mile. up & back. I stayed up & weatched T.V. until it went off air at 12:45. just got in bed when Ivard got home at 1: Jerry was home & in bed.

Jerry & Ray went uptown then came back & Jerry went to work 11:45 till 2: & Ray went up & decorated Park house all afternoon for M-Men Gleaner Halloween Party. He laid off sick from Kellog Mills, got job with Stone lumber for tomorrow I had bath & went to Dr Borron at 3:30 & Jerry fixed supper We ate & Jerry & I went up & saw how they decorated Park house then I took Jerry to work & Jackie & I went to M. & W drug store & one up by hospital. Ray came & ate & when Dale got home from cleaning D.q yard took him to their Party to make spook noises. Dr said I wouldn't need harmones at this time. My Period was a lot lightered. gained 6 lbs since Friday have water again.

I don't feel very good yet, cold sores & sores in mouth & father has intestinal flu, his day off. We stayed in bed late & read paper & I worked puzzle.

I got up & went to Dr. at 8:30 & had blood sugar Test then went back at 10:15 & saw Dr. I lost 14.5 lbs in last 2 weeks he thinks I'm doing wonderful lost 34.5 lbs in 5 weeks.

Ivard left for Nyssa at 7:30 & Kids went to school. Ray went to unemployment office & had to go to work at 1: for General Mills. Jerry & I went to bank & got Jackies Savings bond with stamps she bought last year & got Genes check Wally sent $40. he owed us. Jerry went to work at D.q 11:15 to 2: & from 6: to close went up town & got Gene some pants for me & we fixed pkg. I wrote letters washed 4 batches cloths & cleaned up a little took Jerry to work. Dale went & got hair cut. Ray came at 6:30 & I washed his hair & he bathed & him, Dean, & Dale went to ward reunion. Ivard left for Nyssa to work at 7:30 & got here at 1: AM. Dean left for Seminary at 7:10 AM. Kids went to school & Gail came & wanted Ray to help him move, bed bugs in other house, so Ray got up at 9:30 & went up there all day. Nice drying day I washed a bunch of cloths.

I don't feel very good so I sat & crocheted most of day.

Jerry worked at D.q. 11:45 to 3: & from 6: to close. When he came home he & I went & picked Dean up from school & Drove up & looked at Gails house on Fairview sure a dirty mess, hasn't been lived in for long time, won't be bad when they get it clenaed up but couldn't waite to do it first, got all new beds & mattresses & spraid & treated all other furniture Jerry got supper & we ate after they got Jackie from Primary. Gail & all of them came & called in order & Dale went with them & came home with Ray. Ray went to Practice for road show

got home from Salt Lake

nice Sunny day. We droped Randy off at his place & got home just before Dean left for Seminary after Dale & Jackie left for school I went to bed I woke up at noon when Ivard was getting in my Perse for money to go get hair cut. He left & never showed up again until 7: & ate & watched T.V. I was in bed He'd been to beer joint after he marked up had hair cut & went to Dr. Dains & had glasses fixed.

I got up & washed batch of cloths & worked on books & crocheted. I came sick this morning so I called & laid off few more days. talked to Helen Kotter awhile & Venice Buell & Edith Stewart from work called to see how I was. We ate when Kids came from school & Jackie did dishes and at 6:20 Jerry tok Dean, Dale & Jackie to Piano lesson. Ray listened to Xmas music. They didn't have to work got today off, thought we'd still be to Utah Kids got home at 8:30 & Dale went & cleaned D.q

Jerry sent

nice sunny day. We ate & I had bath & got ready & at 9:30 Jerry Ray & Randy came from Provo, Ray Kept his apt for Jerry but brought his stuff home. We left for Salt Lake at at 11: & took Jerry up on 42nd East & 33rd So. to his Dr. appointment, was early so we ate at Dee's hamberger across St. We left him & went & dumped Ray & Randy out at State Capitol & Ivard & I & Jackie went out to were Louie works & visited with her on her lunch hr. then we went & visited Marv & Loraine & Fat & Sara & them then over to Irvins at 6:30 called Ruth but wasn't home but Kids were so we went up & visited them until 10:30 when they came from Temple & we had a sandwich. at 10:30 Jerry called & went to Salt Lake & picked them up at 11:30 at Gem Theatre & left for home. I was so tired & sick_ Ivard_ Ray & Jerry took turns driveing.

We got to Tooelle Utah to monthers at 7:30 A.M. & had breakfast then Ivard & I & Jackie stayed their & Jerry & Ray & Randy went to Provo & Randy stayed there seeing about school next yr. I visited & had nap then had lunch & visited again. Talked to Berniece on phone, she wanted us to come for supper but no way. Kid came about 7:30 & brought Kay & Claudia & we visited until about 11: & they went back to Provo & Ray & Jerry stayed in Rays apt. We stayed with mother. She still doesn't feel too good but she is up & around. Mother & Curtis are living in Bernieces new house alone until next spring when Berniece will move up, real nice new brick 3 bed-room home.

Ivard, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & sunday school. Ivard came & got Jackie for S.S to took Jerry to work at D. q. he had to open up 10: to 5:30. Ray stayed in bed until noon

I had dinner ready when they got home at 1:, they were late because Jackie had interview & got recomend to be baptized on her birthday. got Genes money too $40. We ate & all rode up to R. R. with Ivard to lay off for few days then we drove around looking at houses.

Lyle & family came from Baker about 4: we watched T.V & Played Penochle, they went home about 9:30. Jerry, Ray-Dean & Dale went to Church. I was supposed to go back to work but laid off & at 10:30 Ivard & I_ Jerry Ray & Jackie went & got Randy Crooks & started for Utah in De Soto but it Shimmeyed so we came & got Dodge.  11:30 time we left Nampa. De Soto & Dale home alone

Ivard went to Nyssa to work at 7:30 A.M.

I changed all the beds & washed cloths all day and iorned all afternoon. Dean went up to High School a couple of hrs this morning & cleaned up from game last nite, then cleaned up house

Jerry worked at D.q. this afternoon & Ray worked for him tonite & awhile this afternoon & Jerry had a date with Betty should have been Rays but he paid Jerry $5. to go.

Dale cleaned D.q & worked for Mrs Johnson about 3 hrs cleaning inside.

Tonite we took Dean up to a Kids place to a Debate Class Party.  I watched T.V. tonite. Went to bed about 10: Dean got home 11:30.  Plant down, I didn't have to work.

Ivard left for work at Nyssa at 7:30.A.M.

Jackie felt better & went to school today, I took her.

I went up to Income tax office, federal, & Paid Genes income tax for 1963 in full $135. plus 4.95 Int. He made a mistake. I went to Don Boren & had De Soto oil change & greese job & anti-freeze & Paid month gas bill then came home & took Dodge up & had it done too & I went & Paid Ins. on Dodge.

Jerry worked at D.q. lunch hr & 6: to 2: A.M. Ray worked at D.q all afternoon.

Gail came & took Ray up to foot ball game then Dean rode up with them, he had to sell consessions. Dale rode walked up after he practiced piano ½ hr. Jackie practiced then we went to bed. I didn't have to work-Plant down.

Ivard got up & went & got his check then went to Nyssa to work at 7:30.

Jackie was run to bowls & didn't go to school.

I didn't get up very early then I figured out the bills.

I watched last world Series game, Cardinals won it.

Ray went to Dr. Horton at 1:30 about Pain in chest, muscle spasms.

Jerry- Jackie & I went to bank, paid bills & went to Caldwell & got my check & I drew $140. out of my Savings to Pay Genes Income tax. Came home & Jerry Ray & I went & gased up dodge so Ivard can drive it tomorrow & Ray bought 16. groc & came home & fixed supper & we ate & I took Jerry to work & Dean & I went & got oil for car at M & W. worked on books until 8: Plant down

I came home from work & Ray was home, came on 7: train Ivard left for Nyssa at 7: he left me a note, haven't seen him since sunday. It was 11:30 time I got to bed & Kids took off.  Jerry worked 11:45 to 1:30 at D. q & 6: to close.

beautiful nice day came from work & Ivard was gone to Nyssa & Jerry_Dean & Dale were still asleep. I went right to bed but couldn't get to sleep, it was 11: last time I looked then I woke up at 2:20.

Jerry made some cookies then they went out to Hay's & pd for Relief Society magazine & went & got Jackie from Gails.

Jerry fixed supper & we ate & Kids took Jackie to dance lesson then went & got her at 5:45 & Jerry went to work at D. q.

no school-Institute. I came home from work & Kids were still in bed & I went right to bed after I read paper.

Dale scrubbed & waxed bath room & took off rest of day.

I woke up at 12:30 & couldn't go back to sleep so I got up & washed 4 batches of cloths, one the sock batch.

Ivard bid on Nyssa beet run & started today, has to leave about 6:, He drives every 4th day started today. He wasn't home when I left at 12:, no one got me up got home at 12:30. 29° when I came from work had to scrape ice off window but Ivard picked ½ bu. tomatoes this afternoon. I went right to bed & Ivard got up to watch came home right after & went to bed after game. I read paper.

I came home & read paper & went to bed at 9:30.  Ivard & Jerry were still in bed. I woke up at 12: & blanket was still on high about melted to death. Ivard got called for 1:45 on Weiser & he wasn't here so I called D.q & Jerry said he left home about 10: so I drove up town & car was Parked in R.R. so I came home & called Stockman & he was there & had got his call. I was so mad & hung up on him. no sleep again Today.  got books up & had a bath at 3:45 I went to Dr. I only lost 3 lbs but he said it was oK. My body had a lot of water this time. I went up & got gas & stoped to D.q. & got milk, & sweetned from Jerry & Came home & went to bed.

Jerry worked 11:45 to 1:30 & 4: to close

Dean went to foot ball game at 7:30 after comeing home from finishing their float, it won first Place, he had to line floats up. Dale went to game Too

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed at 9: woke up at 11: & got up & waited for guy to come & adjust T.V as Jerry went to work at D.q. 11:45 to 1:30 I made a pot of tea. I went to bed but never did get to sleep, phone ringing ect. Dean came home & went to work on home comeing float then picked Jackie up from Primary & went & worked at D.q 6: to 7:30 then went & worked on float again until 10:30.

Jerry went to work at D.q again at 3:30 to close.

Ivard went to work at 5:15 AM & got home just before I got up to go to work.

Angie was clear over to store about 3½ block away & they called & Jerry went & got her. Lynda didn't even know she was gone.

sunny- warm _ nice 52 when I came home from work. I read paper & went to bed at 9: Ivard & Jerry were still asleep.

I woke up at 1: & stayed up, Ivard was watching World Series I made some ice tea. Jerry came home at 2: & the 3 of us played 2 games Scrabble & Jerry got supper & we ate at 3:50. & Dean took Jerry up to work at D.q. 4: till close. He worked 11:45 to 2: too. I wrote to Lyle after we ate & went to bed at too Ray & sent Pass, he just called D.q & wanted it on nite train

Ivard took letters up to Train & mailed them then took & didn't come home in time to take Kids to Piano lesson. Dean drove. I went to bed at 5:30 after talking on Phone to Gail at D. q., Hes going to help on Genes money.

I came home from work & got ready & Jerry took me up town I met with Internal Revenue guy & Gene had made a mistake on income tax & has to pay $139. We do, have 10 days to get it or we can pay it $35. a month. Put money in bank & pd Ins on De Soto & came home & went to bed at 10:30

Ivard left for work right after I got home at 8:30

They came & fixed colored T.V. took 6 tubes, $30. but its in garentee I guess. Kids ate & took Jackie to dancing & I got up & ate while they were gone. They went & got her at 6: I went back to bed until time to go to work, don't feel good. Dean & Dale went to Mutual.

Sunny & nice, still hasn't froze tomatoes. I came home from work & read paper & went to bed. Jerry & Ray were still in bed they got up at 9:30 & went to Boise with Wilma & got home at 2:30 & Jerry went to work at 3: till close Ray took him up.

I woke up at 1: (Phone) & Ivard went to store & we had a pot of ice tea & he left for work at 3:15 on Wilder local, went early to go see Hales about adjusting colored T.V.. I worked on my books & checked Genes income tax have to meet with Internal Revenue tomorrow, say he still owed $135.

Ray left for Utah at 5 with Wilma in her new Datsun she got today.

Ray came home at 3: AM from Utah

Sunny & breezy & nice

Dean got up & went up to High S. at 7:30 to catch bus for Meridian. Debate tournment Jerry took him & went back to bed. I went & got him at 6: He won 2 out of 3 debates.

I got up at 8: & cooked breakfast for Jerry & Ray & got them up then Ray took Jackie up to Gails to have her hair done & she stayed all day. Ray came home at noon & said he was invited to dinner so Jerry took him back up.

Dale got up at 7: & went on route with Gail then tended Kids in afternoon. Gail brought them home at 6:

I changed all the beds & washed & iorned 61 pieces. Jerry washed woodwork & cleaned Venitian blinds & washed windows inside & out & put up new curtains, made 3 Kids beds & cleaned his & my room Dean helped me make my bed.

Ivard went to work about 4:30 AM & got home at 6:30.

We took Dean & Dale up to Stake H to conference & went to Gails till 10:30

Cold in nite nice & warm & sunny today. I came home from work & changed cloths & went up to Superior Western & had my hair cut, tinted & set, real cute style. Went at 9:30, got a few groc & came home at 12:20, stoped at D.q & showed them my hair.

I have next 2 nites off, first in 18 days.

I washed some cloths & got books up.

Ivard was to work when I got home but he got home about 5:30

Dean went up to High S. at 6: & went on bus to Boise to Borah game.

I came home from work froze & went right to bed. Ivard was asleep, got home at 3:30 A.M had to leave again at 10:15 to Emmett I woke up at 1:30 & made me some tea & read paper & got books up & went back to bed. Jerry worked at D.q. 11:45 until 2: then came home & got supper, smelled so good I could hardly stand it. We ate at 4: when Kids, came, Dale was little late, They gave me a set of green striped sheets & cases, 4 dish rags, calorie counter book, can powder. Jerry had me a big boquet of Pink Carnations delivered.

Dean took Sis to dancing & went to library while he waited.

Jerry cleaned up & went to work at D.q 6: to close. Kids went to Mutual.

I just got to bed when floral delivered by big boquet of red carnations from Edith Loosh & got card from Mrs Blades & one fron Nancy Jerry walked to work at 6: & Dale went up with him.

I came home from work & went right to bed & read paper & went to sleep at 9:30. woke up at 12: & fixed dinner. Ivard_ Jerry_Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & sunday school & Ivard came & got Jackie. We ate & Kids did dishes & we went out to Lyles for Stanleys birthday Party at 2: & was I ever suprised, it was for me too. Had fancy cake with candles on for each of us & icecream. I couldn't eat any. I got a new dress & house coat from Lyle & Kids & fancny rack of 3 Kinds of cologne from Gail. Dean took some clored Pictures. We came home at 4:45 & I went to bed & Dean took Ivard back out to Lyles when he took Jerry to work at 5: there was just him, Jackie & Debbie. They got ready for church & went out & got Ivard at 7: & he took Dean, Dale, Jackie & Debbie to church. Then they took Debbie home. after. I didn't ever sleep much. went to work at 11:.  Ivards day off.

Ivard was doing Peaches when I got home.  He made 2 batches jam all by himself & had it bottled when I got up, 18 qts he also had floor moped & dishes done. I Put Turkey in oven when I came home. got up at 2:30 & washed batch of cloths & wrote Gene a months news. We ate at 6: when Stanley & Dean stoped with D.q T. then they took it up & Dean had to work till 10: for Jerry. We went & mailed Genes letter & went to Gails to get Kids but they weren't home. We took Stanley home & came home & Daale & Jackie were here.  I went to bed & Jerry & Ray woke me up at 10:30 to go to work & gave me black leather gloves & white sweater for Birthday. We stoped on way home from work & got another bu & ½ of peaches & came home & Ivard was all ready & we did a bu. got 24 qts sliced & 7 qts jam he did after I went to bed. Jerry went right to bed & went & worked at D. q 11:30 to 2:15 & went back to bed.

Ivard went to work at 3: I went to bed at 1: & got up at 2:45 & had bath & bottled jam & went to Dr. at 4: I'd lost 17 lbs, he thought that was wonderful Dean fixed supper & got Jerry up at 5: & they ate & he took Jerry to work at D.q. at 6: I aclled & laid him off at Simplots he's half sick.

Dale didn't come home from school until 6:30 when I sent Dean after him then at 7: Dean went & sold concessions at game. I went to bed at 6: until time to go to work, stoped at D.q & reads Jerrys letter from Gene.

Ray came about 3: A.M. with Wilma Adkins, for tomorrow.

Jerry & I stoped on way home from work & bought ½ bu. peaches & ½ bu necterines. Came home & IVard had bottles all ready & was sealing peaches. We went right to town on them did bu from yesterday & the stuff I bought today. Jerry went right to bed & got up at 11:30 & went to work at D. q. we got 55 qts. Ivard went to work at 3: I went to bed at 4: & slept until 6: then didn't get much after worring about Kids. Dean took Sis to Primary & waited for her then had to take Lyles Kids home & take Barbra to store then he went up to D.q. & got their supper & at 7: Gail came & took him to tend Kids & Jackie went too. Stanley came & they went & cleaned D.q yard & Dale went home with him & stayed all nite. I picked Jerry up at D.q at 11:10 & we went to work.

Jerry got home from Salt Lake on train 6:30 A.M., did business & worked at D.q. lunch hr. went to store & got stuff for supper & fixed it. & they ate when Kids came at 4: then Dean took D.q truck out until 6: then he took Dale & Jackie & went to Piano lesson then out to Lyles & Barbra did Jackies hair

I came home from work & changed all the beds & washed them & Ivard helped me make them & cleaned the floors & did dishes then he went to bank for Jerry & out & got some paint & changed for Barbra.

I made some tea & took a pill to get rid of water & I was getting up every little while after I went to bed at 11:30.

Ivard went to work at 3: I got up at 3:30 & washed last batch & hung out

Dean & Jackie took D.q. truck out. I went back to bed at 4:30 until time to go to work Dale went out & tended Kids for Lyle.

I came home from work & went right to bed & read paper & at 9: I went to sleep & slept most of time until 3:30 when Lyles Kids woke me up so noisy. Ivard, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & sunday school & Ivard came home & got Sis Jerry had to open D. q at 10: till 5:30 when I went & got him.

Lyle brought Dale home just in time for church, didn't get home from Baker until late last nite. Dale went & cleaned D.q yard

I took Ivard up to D.q at 3:45 & he got Dodge & went to work.

I got books up & iorned a few shirts & went to bed & Jerry Dean, Dale & Jackie went to church. I droped Jerry off at bus station at 11: to go to Utah to Dr & see about school.

Jerry & I came home from work & Jerry went to bed all day. I changed cloths & Ivard, Jackie & I went out & got Barbra & stoped & got gas & went to Baker, got there at 11: & met Lyle at Wards & he got off & we went looking at houses for rent he'd found then he took us to lunch and at 2: we left for home. Barbra stayed to come home with Lyle tonite. Dale is tending big kids, Cliffords wife has 2 little ones. We got home at 3:45 & Dean had car up to D.q., he was out on Truck & had Keys so I took Ivard to work. I came home & went to bed at 4:30 until time to work. Dean came home at 6: & took Jerry to work & tended Sis. He went to foot ball jamboree & she went to bed. Me & Jerry went to work

I came home from work & went right to bed. Jerry had to get up & go work D.q lunch hr then again at 6: to 11: he made out payments & went to bank ect., didn't work at Simplots last nite, too sick & didn't get off at D.q. until 1:30 AM

I woke up at 1: & Ivard & I went up & had lunch at D.q then we went out & got Barbra & Cliffords wife & went to Caldwell & put money in bank for Dale & my dimes & pd on laway then they brought me home & Ivard took Barbra to store & home & I had bath & at 3:45 Ivard came & took me to Dr, went in with me, Dr. Hay. He said I definatly had sugar dibeties but not too bad yet. We will controll it with diet first. Put me on 400 diet. Dale stayed all nite at Lyles to tend Kids tomorrow. We came home from work & went right to bed, Ivard was still in bed He got mad & went up & put his application in to go to Glenns Ferry on brakeman extra board. Jerry went to work at D.q 11:45. He came home at 2:30, after he went to bank, & went to bed. Ivard came back to bed at non & woke me up. We got up & ate & I made some tea & Ivard went & got hair cut & another part to fix front door. I laid down again at 3:45. Ivard went back to R.R & withdrew his application.

Ivard went & got Kids from Primary, Dale went to tend Randy, & took Barbra & Kids home.

We came home from work & went to bed. I got up at noon & Ivard & I went to Bank & paid bills & I bought Sis 2 pr cords & shirts (Sweaters) to match & 2 pr Stretch pants & laid away a knit suit for her Xmas for $16. met Barbra & took her to store & we got groc & took her home then we went up to D. q & had hamberger Came home & I made out payments & got books up & Ivard went to work at 4:, got cut off brakeman extra board & got job with Thurs. & Friday off

We came home from work & Jerry doctored & went right to bed until 5: I washed 3 batches of cloths, hung 2 out & went to bed at 10:30 & woke up at 11:30 so I hung other out then went back to bed but couldn't get to sleep until after noon. I woke up again at 3: & got up at 4: & got supper. Lyle went to Baker for Wards & Barbra went to her mothers so Terry & David came after school & Dale tended them

I got up at 6:45 & had a bath & got ready & at 7:45 I was up to Mercy hospital for glucose tests. they took 7 blood & urin tests, first three every half hr then one ever hr. I got home at 1:20 & ate & laid down until 4: then I went to see Dr. Borron & he told me I had dibeties and he wanted me to change to Dr. Hoage Hayas he knew more about it, can't see him till Frid

Jerry went to work at D.q. at noon then went up town & worked for tree cutting Service. Came home & ate at 5:30 & went to work at D.q 6: till 11: when I picked him up to go to work at Simplots.

I came home from Dr. & ate & went to bed until time to go to work.

I stayed in bed until about 10: Ivard, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & sunday school, Ivard came home & got Sis. Jerry came home from Simplots & went right to bed all day, got up for dinner, he ahd to work D. q. 5: to close. had nite off at Simplots. I made me a pot of tea & cut one of my new pannels up & made new curtain on front door & little end window & washed woodwork & glass & got them up. I got dinner & we at at 1:30. Ivard went breakeing at 2:30 to 2: AM. I don't feel good I took Kids to church & made me another pot of tea & waited up for them & at 10: Jerry called & said to come & get them at D. q. they'd walked to there, Dean was at fireside. I was so mad at them.

Debbie is 8 today

warm & breezy & nice. We came home from work & Ivard was home & in bed. Jerry went right to bed he has to work on clean up tonite but I have 2 nite off. I washed socks & another batch & went to bed at 9:40 after putting roast on for Ivard to tend. He watched ball game & let it burn. Dean scrubbed & cleaned house. I got up at 11:45 finished getting dinner & we ate & Jerry went back to bed & Ivard took Sis out for Barbra to do her hair & waited for her & Dean, Dale & Stanley took D.q. truck out all afternoon. Lyle brought Dale & Stanley on way to work this AM. Ivard & I went & looked at houses for sale & the open house then we got Kids at 6: & went up to Debbies birthday. after we went saw open house again with Kids & Gail. came home & went to bed at 9:30. Jerrywent to Simplots when he got off work at D. q.

We came home from work & went right to bed. Jerry got up & went to work at D.q. 11:45 until 2:. I woke up at 1:30 & was supposed to be to Dr. at 2:, I told Ivard to wake me but he never. I didn't even get a bath. Dr. Borron told me my blood sugar was high & they wanted me to go to hospital Monday morning for glucose test. I came home & we went up town & bought 15. worth of groc. & went to Wards & picked up our new table we ordered & curtains & came home & Ivard put it together & I fixed supper. Lyle picked Dale up on his way home from work to Tend Kids & he stayed all nite. Dean went out with D.q. truck we ate & Jerry went up to D. q. & met Ins guys about his policy. 53° when we came home from work sunny & nice all day. 47° in Caldwell. Kids were to school & Ivard was in bed. Jerry & I went right to bed. Ivard got JErry up at 11:30 to go work at D.q. till 2: Ivard came back to bed & just got undressed when Dean called, he'd lost his socks in P.E so Ivard took him a pr. up. I woke up & was so sick. Ivard came back & came to bed but got mad & got up & went up town at 1:30 & never came home until 5:30 6:00 Dean took D.q. truck out.

I went back to sleep & never woke up until 4: when Dale called to say he was at Primary tending Randy. Dean stoped a min. on his way with D.q. truck at 4: I got up & read paper. I went & got Kids from Primary & took Barbra home & droped Dale off to clean D.q. yard then we went up to store & got donuts. I went to bed until time to go to work. Jerry worked D.q. 6: to 10:30 & we went to work. Ivard didn't work today.

Wednesday, September 9, 1964

49° when we came from work & when we went last nite. sunny & nice today. Jerry went right to bed & I changed & went up & had blood sugar test & went to bed at 9: woke up at 10:30 & got Jerry up to go work at D.q. 10:45 until 1:45 I went back to sleep & woke up at 1:30 so I got up & ate & washed 2 batches of cloths & iorned 16 pieces & patched my garments.

Dean came after school & got Jackie & they took D.q truck out until 6:

I took Dale up town to buy Music book. We took Jerry to work at D.q 6: to 10: & he bought our supper.

Ivard went to Emmett at 6: AM & got home 6: P.M. He took Dean, Dale & Jackie to Piano lesson & I went to bed until time to go to work but I never did get to sleep. phone & guys comeing home. Gail came & Ivard went & tended Kids so our Kids could go to bed. Jerry got home at 9:30 & slept until we went to work

Went to Dr. & had Physical

Jerry & I came home from work & went right to bed. Ivard was home & just takeing Jackie to school. He went & Paid water & came to bed.

I woke up at 1:15 & Ivard had water off fixing taps so I went back to bed. I got up at 2: & had bath & went to Dr. Borron at 3: & had complete physical & Pap & blood tests half to go in morning for blood sugar test. He told me I had heart Murmur & suspects sugar dibetes. I came home & Dean had supper & we ate & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Ivard didn't work today

Jerry went to work at D.q 6: to 11: & I picked him up & we went to work at Simplots

Dean was one of 9 freshman ask to Join Blue Key.

Monday, September 7, 1964

Lyle & Barbra came & did Jackies hair & I never did get any sleep. Jerry got called to Simplots

I came home from work & went right to bed & no one turned my blanket off & I woke up at 11: sweating to death.

Ivard went to work at 4 AM. & got home at 11: AM. then got called again tonite for 11: P.M

Jerry made a sald & Dean a cake & at 11:30 they took Jackie & went on D.q. truck. Dale went & cleaned D.q yard & went to Gails & out to Lyles. I couldn't sleep so I got up at noon & washed 2 batches of cloths & made me some ice tea & crocheted. at 2:30 I went back to bed & was just about to sleep at 3: when Kids called, having trouble with truck we drove all over north side for we found them, then it was OK & Dean & Jackie went on & Jerry came back to work at 5: & we went & got them ice & to store & they gave us our supper. They got so busy Dean had to go work 7: to 9:30.

I came home from work & went right to bed & read paper & went to sleep until 1:45 Kids woke me up so I fixed dinner & we ate & Ivard took Dale up to church to collect Fast offerings & got gas for me to go to work.  Ivard got home at 7: A.M & was in bed when I came. Gail brought Kids home this morning & they went to Church.

After we ate I laid down for little while, I thought & never woke up until after dark then I went back to sleep & never woke up until they called me to go to work at 10:30. I was tired. Ivard didn't work today  Jerry went to fireside. no church tonite.

I get double time for tonite.

Jerry moved back home

Jerry stayed here last nite then got up & spent all morning moving back. Ivard got called to Emmett breaking & was home by 10:30 then he got called on Boise local tonite at 11:30.

I got up & went up to dental lab & left my top plate & had 2 teeth put in  picked it up at 1:30 when Ivard & I went up & Paid Hales.

Dean cleaned up house & we moved everything around so we could get Jerrys stuff in. We put table in Kitchen but its too big so I called Wards & ordered a drop leaf. Dean & Jerry went on D.q. truck noon to 6: then Jerry went to work at D.q. 6: to close. Dale cleaned D.q. yard & went out to Lyles until 3: when they left for Black Lake for couple of days Dean went to high S. to game had to sell concessions. Dale & Jackie went up to Gails & tended Kids & stayed all nite I bathed & went to bed.

Ivards day off he picked case of berries & took up to Peterson. I washed blankets_ rugs & cloths.

I called in & told them I'd be back to work & at 3:30 I broke my front tooth out I called dental lab & they said to come at 4: but they were all locked up so I called up & laid off again, wasn't going without my teeth.

Jerry & Nancy Came with her pick-up loaded with Jerrys stuff then he had to go to work 6: to close. Stayed here tonite, hes moving back to save money to go to school.

Ivard got put on brakemans board. Ivard & I went out to Lyles & played Penochle. Dale never Came from school, got off there & stayed all nite.

got up & we took Sis to school & went & got Jerry & Ray & Jerry went to work for Ray until noon & Ray brought us home & went & did his business then went to work & Jerry took brought car home & I took him up town & home while Ivard picked case berries I washed 3 batches of cloths & made 2 pineapple apricot pies & 20 berry pies & IVard washed berries & put in freezer. I washed my hair & we played Scrabble all afternoon

Ivards day off. we had supper & at 7: we gathered Ray & his stuff up. He left on 8:15 train for Utah to go to school at B.Y.U. They want him to start work early. brought Kids home & Ivard & I went out to Lyles to Play Cards. Simplots called us back to work after I left but I didn't know it until later

Wednesday, September 2, 1964

Sunny & cloudy

Kids went to school & I read paper & got up & ate. Ivard went out to Lyles & picked ½bu apricots & took Barbra's birthday Present, 2 pr nylons. When he came home he washed bottles & I washed apricots & he ground them & we made jam. He went to store twice, 2nd time he brought Ga Jerry home & he helped me stir. made 30 qts apricot & pineapple jam.

Ivard went to work at 4:

We ate & Jerry went to work at 6:. Kids had waffles.

At 6:30 Dean, Dale & Jackie went out for their Piano l. Dale had his first & Lyle went & got him to tend Kids & he stayed all nite. Gail came & I rode out to look at home with him then when Dean came he went & Tended Gails Kids.  Jackie & I went up & had hamberger & came home at 9:30 & went to bed.
