Ray came from Provo for week end Gene went over to Boise all day

27° when we came from work & had cold wind. Sunny most of day. I was so froze to death. I read paper & went to bed with Ivard. He got me up at 11:30 & we went up & got Jerry on his lunch hr. & took him to bank & back home a min & back up town & he ate run into him after so took him back to work & got my groc. Ivard got his check & we paid bills. stoped at D.q & had lunch & bought groc. home & I took Ivard to work & picked Sis up at 3: Gene went to Boise early this morning to spend day with his girl, down from Ricks with debateing team. I got books up & laid down a hr until time to get Jerry. Jerry took Dale up to Gail to work Tomorrow

Plant down tonite but I have to go in on special pkg line.

I went to bed & was still awake at 9: Ray came at 11:30 & Gene at midnite

sunny & warm all day.

I came home from work & ate & read paper & went to bed at 9: I woke up at noon & went to bank for Jerry & went & hunted him up on his lunch hr. stoped at D.q. & had lunch & brought Gene some home 2:30 time I got to bed again but I couldn't sleep.

Ivard went to work at 3:

I got up & ate with Kids after Gene took Jackie to Primary & went & got her & Jerry from work.  I went back to bed at 6:30 & was still awake at 9: just got to sleep when they got me up to go to work.

Gene & all the Kids took Jerry to his Tupperware Party & Dale stayed to help him. Gene went & got him got call from his girl, she got to Boise about 10: P.m Ivard came at 10:30

24° when we came from work sunny & nice today.

I read paper & went to bed at 9: & Ivard came back to bed I woke up at noon & Ivard had gome to take Gene up to Gails to go on route with him.  I was just about to sleep at 1: when I heard some one pounding on piano so I got up & Lyle, Barbara & Kids were here & Ivard was back. I crocheted & after they left & Ivard went to work I practiced piano laid down from 4: to 5:. Dale went & cleaned D.q_ yard after school. we ate when Jerry got home & Dean, Dale, Jackie & I went out to Hurrens &  took our piano lessons. I wrote to Ray while I waited my turn.  Jerry worked at D.q. 6: to close. we stoped there after our lesson & Dale bought us a treat. went to bed until time to go to work. Ivard & Gene come about 10:30

JErry got home from Salt Lake

25° when we came from work sunny & nice all day

I read paper & went to bed at 9: with Ivard.

I never woke up until 2:30

Barbra had to go to D.q. & learn how this aftenroon so she could start work tonite so Gene went up & tended Kids

Ivard went to work at 3:

I washed some cloths & when Jackie came we went to dancing Dean had supper ready when we got home & we ate.

I took Dean & Dale to Mutual at 6:30, early for practice, & Jackie & I stoped at D.q & had drink & got milk.  I went to bed at 7: & Jackie came at 8: Gene got home after Kids came from Mutual.

Ivard got home at 10:30 & Jerry got home from Salt Lake at midnite.

Monday, February 24, 1964

Jerry left for Salt Lake to see Dr.

Hard wind 34° when I got home from work

I read paper & went to bed at 9: & got up at 1: & crocheted while Ivard & Gene got lunch then I washed 2 batches of cloths and practiced piano

Ivard went to work at 3:

Dean fixed supper & we ate when Jerry got home.

Lyle came & got Dale to tend Kids for little while and Jerry Gene & Dean went up to D.q then they took Jerry to catch train for Salt Lake at 8:30 for his appointment with D. They went up to Gails after & never got home until 10:30 Ivard got home right after.

Jackie & I went to bed at 7: & I got up at 10:30 & got ready for work.

Lyle & Barbra 10th anniv. gave them clock

Jerry went up to Church to see about reports then came home at 9:30 & changed & went & opened up at D.q. 10: to 5:

Ivard_ Gene_ Dean & Dale went To Priesthood & Ivard came & took Sis to sunday school.

I read paper in bed, got up at 9:30 & worked on puzzle.  my hips hurts I had dinner ready when they got home at 12:30 & we ate then we all went up to Lyles & gave them anniversary (10th) card & present (electric wall clock) came home at 2:30 & Ivard went to Stake H. to 70'S meeting & I went to bed. got up at 4: when he got home & went up to D.q & had drink & got change for Kids school lunch.

I had bath & we all went To church. Came home at 9: & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Saturday, February 22, 1964

warm & sunny

Changed every bed & washed cloths all day & iorned most of day. Ivard helped Dean make beds. Dean cleaned up house. & fixed lunch.

Ivards day off, he went to store for me.

Gene had to go up to Dr. & get results of his blood test, OK. tonite he went over to Caldwell for his interview with President Isom, Jerry went with him at 8: then they went to Slurf reception after.

I cooked a roast & we had supper at 7:30 when Jerry got home from work at Safeway, worked 10: to 7:

Gail & Kids brought Dale home just as we were going to eat.

My nite off, thought we were going to reception but Ivard didn't act like he wanted to so I got mad & went to bed at 8: Ivard went home teaching To one place but werent home so he came right back & watched T.V.

Friday, February 21, 1964

27° when we came home from work. I read paper & went to bed.

Ivard took car up to Romph's & had motor tune-up, didn't work right on our trip.  Gene went with Lyle to Boise

I got up at 12:30 when Ivard got home & we went up town & paid bills & went to bank. went to D.q. & had lunch & came home and Ivard went To work.  I made some payments out & worked on my books.

We had supper, Dean & Gene fixed it. Jerry came home from work and him & Dean & Mike went to Givins swimming but too many people so they came back home.  Gene went up to Gails.

Dale didn't come home from school but went streight up to Gails & stayed all nite to work Tomorrow.  I was supposed to go to Stanley Party at Ediths but too tired. Jackie & I went to bed at 8: My nite off.

26° when we came home from work. sunny & breezy all day. My pay day

I washed a read paper & went to bed at 9:30. Ivard & Sis were in bed & they got up & Ivard took her to school. I called & made Gene an appointment for his physical with Dr. Swaine & he bathed & went at 10:30. when Ivard got home from getting new tire for one we wrecked on trip, guy gave it to him when he bought car, they hadn't fixed it right.

I got up at 2: & Ivard had gone to work_ Dusty had to go do some business. I washed some cloths & helped Gene with his business

We ate when Jerry got home & I took him up to D.q. to work 6: to Close.  He gave me a drink & a case of toilet papyer for 2 yr supply

Came home & went to bed at 7: until time to go to work.

Jerry got home from Salt Lake at midnite

37°  when we came home from work_ sunny & cloudy, real windy I read paper & washed batch of cloths & put one in dryer I did last nite & went to bed at 9:15. Ivard had got up at 6: & taken Jac Dean to Seminary & Jackie to school & he came back to bed.

I got up at 2: & Ivard fixed lunch & I washed 2 more batches of cloths

Ivard went to work at 3: & Gene went & got Jackie from school & they went up to Gails to get her cloths she left Sunday & never got home until 4:45

I fixed supper & practiced piano we ate & Gene went up to church house for his appointment with Bishop at 5: and me & Kids went out to Hurrens for Piano lesson I went up to D.q. at 3: & got milk. Came home at 8: & Jackie & I went to bed & Dean went to Basketball game at 8 with Mike. Ivard came home at 10:30 & got me up.

Jerry left for Salt Lake for appointment with nerve spec

sunny. cloudy. not too cold.

We got home from Utah at 5: A.M & went to bed. Ivard got up at 8:30 & took Sis to school & went & got Barbra & they went to Parma & got Kids, got home at 12:30. I got up at 11:30 & wokrked on book & washed some cloths. Gene got up at 12:30 & got his things put up.

Jerrys day off, he run around all day doing business, registered Dean to go to Valley Forge this summer

Ivard & I went up to D.q & got a drink & brought Gene & Jerry one & Ivard went to work for 3: Jerry went & got Sis from school.

Jackie & I went to dance lesson at 3:30 & got home at 5:30 & Jerry had supper ready, we ate & I took Jerry to work at D.q. 6: to close I went to bed at 7: & Kids went to Mutual Gail & family came awhile. Gene took Jerrys cloths up to D.q at 11: & took him to catch 11:30 bus to Salt Lake for his appointment with nerve specialist. I went to work, Ivard was home at 10:30

Monday, February 17, 1964

went to Grantsville & Provo

nice day.  Ivard got me up at 6:30 & I had a bath & we had family prayer & breakfast with Irv. & family before he went over to store then we went up to Ruths & got her & Lyle, Barbara & Gene & at 9:30 went out to Grantsville & saw mother, Ken & Berniece. Mother doesn't feel very good, still down with Pluresy.  We could only stay a hr. because it took a hr each way to drive out. we dashed back & took Ruth home & I changed my dress & we went to Bountiful Mortuary at 12:45 for Howard Grange Sr.'s funeral. short & different, non mormon. after we left cemetary we went down to House & ate & visited Ray came from Provo with Donna & was Pallbearer. We took him back to Provo at 4:30 & met Kay just as he got off work at book store at school & he skipped his 6: to 8: class & we went to Kays & visited & when Claudia got home from work she fixed supper & we ate. at 9: we left for home & Ivard_ Gene & Lyle took turns driving.

went from Rex burg to Salt Lake

We drove in snowstorm last part of way & first.  We got to Rexburg at 3: AM & got a double motel room & went to bed. got up at 8:00, Ivard & I & went up & woke Gene up & I sat & crocheted while Ivard went in & helped Gene get all his stuff in car then we went back & got Lyle & Barbra, & went up & met Genes girl, Linda Anderson & he told her good bye & we went to Idaho Falls & ate at 11:30 had the dinner, I had salmon steak, good at 12:30 we left for Salt Lake, got to Sara's at 4: & went up to Mortuary with them at 6: until 8:30 then we went up to Ruth & Rays & talked until 10:30 & Gene, Lyle & Barbara stayed there & Ivard & I went down to Irv's & sat & talked Jim & Connie came & it was 1: before we got to bed.

Ivards day off. I laid off.

Saturday, February 15, 1964

We left for Rexburg. Ray called got 1963 income tax

Dean went to Priesthood party at Stake House with Mrs Kotter

nice day_ snowed a little tonite & afternoon

washed cloths & Dean cleaned house good & Ivard went up to see Lyle about going to Rex burg to get Gene. & decided Barbra & I would go & go on to Salt Lake to Howard Grange funeral.

The federal income Tax refund for 1963 finally came so we went up & bought $60. worth of groc. & paid for Today & last times fuel oil.

Came home & got Dean & went up to Dairy q. & had lunch then brought Kids home & Ivard went & got hair cut then I took him up & Lyle let him take a car to take Barbra over to Parma to her mothers to leave her Kids. Dean & Jackie went with him. They left at 4: & got back at 6:30. I gased up Ivards new car went over to Kotters & had my hair cut & came home & washed it & packed. Jerry came home from work & worked at D.q. 6: to close. When Ivard came we took Sis up to Gails & left her & Dale & went & got Lyle & Barbra & at 8:30 P.M left for Rex burg, it was snowing

My & Ivards nite off & I laid off for next 2 days.

Friday, February 14, 1964

Howard Grange Sr. died of cancer last nite, Louie called. got heart shaped box candy from Ray

Sunny & nice. 21° when I came home from work. I went right to bed & Ivard came too. He'd been up & taken Sis to school & went & got his check.

I got up at 11:30 & figured out Ivards check & made out payments & we went to bank, paid bills & got few groc. & gas and stoped at D.q. & had lunch came home & Ivard got ready & I took him to work at 3: & picked Jackie up from school. got books up & made Jello for supper. Dean came home & made a cake & when Jerry got home we ate & at 6: Barbra & Clifford came & got Dale to tend Kids until Dean got home from Home Teaching with Jerry.

Clifford got married tonite at Homedale

Jackie & I went to bed about 8:

Jerry took Dean up to Lyles then took Dale up to Gails to stay all nite to go on route in morning with Gail. Jerry came home & got to bed early.

got pretty plant for Valentine from Jerry

snowed a inch during nite. 21° when we came home and foggy. Sun came out & melted snow but we still have the old.

Ivard took Sis to school & Came to bed awhile then got up & bathed.

Ivard got bumped off breakman board & got a 3: job with Sat. & Sunday off. I got up at 2:30 & he had gone

got a real pretty plant delivered from Jerry for Valentine.

I practiced PIano for 1 hr & 10 min & crocheted. Jackie called Lyle & he came & took her to Primary & Herry brought her home when he came from work. I got supper & we ate & Jerry went to work at D.q. at 6: to close.

Lyle came & got Dale to tend Kids 7:15 to 10:15.

I went to bed at 7:15 until time to go to work. Ivard got home at 10:30 & got me up.

Wednesday, February 12, 1964

sunny this morning 24° when we came through Caldwell. Cloudy this afternoon.

I came home from work & took Jackie to school.  Ivard had gone to Parma breaking, took Jerry to work on his way. I read paper & went to bed at 9:30. got up at 2:20 & washed two batches of cloths cleaned up house, crocheted & cooked supper & we ate at 4:30 then Dale & I went & got Jerry & he tended Sis & Dean Dale & I went to Piano lessons. got home at 7:15 & Jerry, Dean & Dale went to Mutual Valentine Party with 2nd ward.

Ivard was home when we got home, he went over to Stake House at 9: to basketball game.

cloudy _ snow skiff at 7: A.M 28° when we came home wind blew hard all day, sunny this afternoon.

Jerry's day off, he went to Dr. & up town.

Ivard didn't work today he took Sis to school & went & got his new car fixed, speed ometer, left it, & went up at 5:30 & got it. rode up with Gail when he left after paying Kids.

I woke up at 2: & read until 3: & got up & practiced piano.

Jerry cooked roast & made cake & got supper & I made gravey for him

Jerry went to work at D.q 6: to close.

We took Dale up to get hair cut by D.q & then took Dean up to church to go to Caldwell to Court of Honor & picked Dale up on way back.  I went to bed at 7:15 until time to go to work & Ivard went over to Stake House to tournament.

sunny & cloudy - 23° when we came home from work

Ivard went breaking to Nyssa again left at 5:30 A.M & drove, picked all the others up. worked from 7: to 11:, 16 hrs.

I came home from work & thought I'd really get some sleep & at 11: school called & said Jackie was sick so I called Lyle to go get her, Ivard had one car & Jerry the other. I was just about asleep again when school nurse called. then Sis came & I got her to bed with me & she kept getting up & wakeing me one big night mare.

I got up at 3: & washed some cloths & cooked supper & we ate when Jerry got home.

Lyle came & got Dale to tend Kids 5: to 9: because Jerry & Dean went home teaching. Jackie & I went to bed at 7: & I went to work at 11:

Ivard rode to Nyssa to work with some guy at 5:45, breaking.

I got up when Jerry, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & Jackie & I had a bath.  Jerry came home at 10: & changed his cloths & went up to work at D.q. 10: to 5:

I drove Ivards new car & we went to sunday school, Jackie & I. I had to give closeing prayer & Jackie had to give 2½ min. talk. On our way home we stoped at D.q. & Jerry gave us our dinner, hamberger, fries & drink. Came home & changed our cloths & Kids made Valentines & I worked on my books & read paper

Jackie & I went to bed for couple of hrs.

Jerry had to be to meeting at 6: so we all went and I went to choir practice & sang in choir. Came home from church at 8:30 & Ivard was home I went to bed until time to go to work.

Saturday, February 8, 1964

Sunny & little warmer.

Ivard got home about 7:30 & came to bed.  Jerry went to work in car.

I got up & crocheted, changed my bed & washed cloths all day and rugs ect. Ivard got up & watched T.V this afternoon

Dean cleaned house. Ivard & I took Jackie up to Gails to stay until Gail brought Dale home after they got through work. We got a sack of coal for fireplace & groc & stoped at D.q. & had drink then came home & Ivard took Dean up to get hair cut & I cooked supper & we ate when Jerry got home.  Gail brought Dale & Jackie right after. We had fire in fire place & watched T.V. then Ivard had to go get gas so we took Dale up to clean Dairy q. yard while we got it. Jerry gave us a drink while we waited, he worked 6: to close.  Lyle called so Ivard & I went up there at 8:30 & Played cards until midnite. Ivard got called for Nyssa in morning.

Friday, February 7, 1964

Sunny 17° when I came home from work.  Jackie didn't feel good so she stayed home.  I read paper & Jackie & I went to bed. We'd just been asleep a hr. when phone woke me up.  R. R. called to tell Ivard he was put on brakemans board it is his day off & he was up to Romph's Traded his pick-up off & $375 for a 1959 2 door sports De Soto. with with blue inside.

I couldn't go back to sleep so I read until Ivard came at noon & got up & washed some cloths & we played Scrabble all afternoon.  I was so tired I fixed supper & went after Jerry.

Lyle & Gail was takeing Ivard & I to show but Ivard got called out brakeing for 7:30 so I went.  Jerry had to go to work at D.q. so we took Dale & Jackie up to Lyles with Dean to Tend Kids & he tended Gails Too.  We couldnt get in so we drove all over then at 9: had to stand in line.  John Wayne "McKlintock" got Kids & got home at 1:15 A.M. Jackie & Debbie were still up.

Thursday, February 6, 1964

Sunny & warmer today.  18° when I came home from work.

I read paper & went to bed at 9: Ivard was still in bed he went back because he took Dean to Seminary & Jerry to work & Jackie to school.

phone woke me up at 11: time I got there it stoped. I was just about asleep again at 11:25 when it rang again, School nurse saying Jackie was crying with stomache so I went & got her & we just got in bed at 1: when here came Ivard, been up to Dobbs seeing about getting pick-up fixed.  I slept a little & got woke up at 3: so I got up & fixed supper.  Lyle was here showing Ivard a car & took Sis to Primary.

Ivards day off.  I went & got Jackie from Primary & Jerry from work & we ate

Lyle & family came at 6: & took Ivard, Dale & Jackie to Parma to Nyssa, Weiser basketball play off.  Lyle played got beat. got home 11:30 Jerry & Dean went home teaching then to show.  Came home at 10:30 & got me up & I went to work.  Ivards nite off.

Wednesday, February 5, 1964

Sunny hard wind all afternoon 17° when I came home from work.

I read paper & Ivard came to bed with me to rub me & get me warm.  Lyle came.  I never went to sleep until 10:30 & woke up at 1: & never could go back To sleep.  I read awhile.  I got up at 3: When Kids came, got out early today.

Ivard went to bank for Jerry & put new spark plugs in Pick up.  He went to work at 4:

I washed a batch of cloths & had a bath & Dean fixed supper & we ate & he did dishes while I went after Jerry.

We took Jerry up to D.q to work at 5:30 for 6: to close so we could get to Piano lesson earlier.  Came back to D.q & Dale cleaned up yard & Jerry brought us home at 8: & took car back.  We bought 180 lbs sugar before it goes up the 1st.  Went to bed until time to go to work.

Gene called, said he'd decided to go on mission.  Wants us to come & get him 16th

Sunny, 18° when I came home from work.  read paper & went to bed with Ivard, he'd just got back from takeing Sis.

Jerry got up at 9: & went to Dr. & did his business, day off

I woke up at 1: & couldn't go back to sleep so I read until 2:45 & got up & got ready to take Sis danceing she came home at 3:40 & Jerry took us up & left us & went & got hair cut They came & got us at 5:30, Dean drove & we came home & ate, they had it all ready.  I fixed a new zipper in my work pants & fixed 2 pr for Sis & a dress & a pr. pants for Dale.

Ivard went to work at 4:

Dean did dishes & Jerry took him & Dale to Mutual & Came home & doctored his infected wart.  I went to bed at 7:30 until time to go to work.

Monday, February 3, 1964

Sunny but cold & frost this morning. It was 15° when I came home from work.

Ivard had taken Dean to Seminary & Jerry to Safeway & was just takeing Sis when I came.  I read paper & went to bed at 9: Ivard came to bed & got me warm.

Ivard read most of day.

I got up at 3:45 when Sis came & Ivard went to work.

Dean fixed hot cakes for supper

I went for Jerry & had to wait ½ hr. so I crocheted.

Jerry had to work at D.q. 6: to close.  I took him up & waited for Dale to clean up his yard.  sat & talked to Edith & Jerry gave me a drink

got books up & went to bed at 7: & read awhile

went up & Took car to Jerry & went to work from there.

Ray called & said Mother was sick

I went back to work at SImplots after being sick 3 weeks

Sunny - frosty this morning.

Ivard got home from work about 7:30 & came to bed I didn't sleep very good, didn't feel good.

Jerry, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood at 8:50 & I got up & read paper.  Jerry came home at 10:10 & got Jackie & I and we went to sunday school and Fast meeting.  I bore my testimony we came home at 1:15 & Jerry & Dale went gathering Fast Offering.  I fixed dinner & Ivard got up when Jerry came & we ate Ivard went to work at 4: I worked on cross word puzzle I took Jerry to work at D.q 5: till close & he gave me a drink Lyle called & I talked to him awhile then got books up & went to bed at 6:15.  Ray called at 9: & woke me up & I read until 10: then got up & got ready & took car up for Jerry & Wilma Picked me up & I went back to work at Simplot

Ivard got home about 7:40 & came to bed & I got up & took Jerry to Safeway and went back to bed & read awhile.

Dean did work & at 11:30 Lyle came & got him to tend Kids & brought him home at 7:

I washed cloths & iorned all morning.  Ivard & Sis went up to Gails but they weren't home.  Ivard fixed us lunch & I washed my hair & we played Scrabble while it dried.

I fixed hambergers ready to fry & Ivard cooked them while I went after Jerry at 5: Gail & Dale ended up there so I brought Dale home.  We stoped at D.q. & they got their checks & Dale cleaned his yard. Came home & ate & Ivard went breaking at 7:30.  Jerry went to baptisimal & brought $12. worth of groc. home & us a drink.  I went to bed at 9:30.  Jerry - Dean & Dale stayed up awhile
