I came home from work & Ivard took Kids to school then we went to town & paid bills & went to bank. got Jerrys money but I didn't get letter finished so we came on home & ate & went to bed at 1:. Ivard got up at 3: & tended Jackie. I got up at 5: & Kids wher home, Gene & Ray, came on bus. Dean & Dale came from primary at 6: I cooked supper & we ate & I wrote Kay & Irvin & finished Jerrys letter & went to bed at 9:15 until time to go to work. Ivard went in to church with Max to plan 70's banquet. just got home in time to go to work. He mailed my letters. He took car, had the most riders. I took pick-up raining when I left.

I came home & Ivard wasn't home yet, worked overtime & got home at 9:30 I got ready & left Dean & Dale with Jackie & went in & left car at Don's for greese job & oil change & Mrs Newland, Helen & Charlett picked me up & we went to Boise to Dr. I lost 6 lbs. we went shopping then went to a place where you got all you wanted to eat for 99 cents. It wasn't so hot I got home at 2:30 & Ivard & Jackie had just got in bed so I went with them. Ivard got up at 3:30 & went & got little Kids he took them 1/2 hr. late. He took down electric fence on road.

Ray got supper & I got up at 5:30 & washed a batch of cloths & went to town with Ivard to get Gene ate & went to bed till time to go to work.

Cloudy & cold wind.

I came home from work & took Kids to school. Ivard was already home & out in field, took him until 4: to finish planting beets. I read paper, ate & tended Jackie & at 10:30 we went to bed. Got up & got ready & went in to a special relief society work day at 2: We came home at 4: & Ivard had got little Kids. Ivard watched a show then went after Gene & Ray got supper. I went to bed at 4:30 & they got me up to eat at 7:30. then I went back to bed until time to go to work. Ivard & Jackie had a bath & came to bed at 8: Ivard left for work at 10:30 & I went at 11:

Finished reading Book of Mormon

Cloudy & cold wind. I came home & took Kids to school. Ivard went to bed & I stayed up & tended Sis & washed 3 batches of cloths & read in Book of Mormon. at 12:15 Jackie & I went to bed & Ivard got up & harrowed grain & finished plowing garden & went & got Kids. I woke up at 4: & took Ivard over to Brysons to get his tractor & beet planter & when Ivard got home he started to plant beets. Ray came home & got supper & I read. I went after Gene at 5:30 & while I waited I finished Book of Mormon. Came home at 6:30 & Gene did chores & we ate & Ivard & I & little Kids went to bed. Ray went early to Mutual with Pendelton & Gene went with Max. We went to work at 10:30 Ivard & 11: me.

cloudy. windy & rained a little. I came home from work and went to bed. Ivard was up & had finished planting hay. Ivard, Gene & Ray went to priesthood & I got up at 11: & got ready & me & little Kids went to sunday school. Dean went home with Mike Perry & Ray stayed to Priesthood meeting at Stake House & Mike Madison brought him home. I cooked dinner & we were just eating when Ray got home. I went to bed at 4: with Ivard & Jackie Gene did chores & him & Ray went to church. stayed to Fireside. Got home at 10:30 when Ivard left for work. I went at 11:

We all fasted from 8: last nite until 8: tonite for Jerry.

started having family prayers.

sunny nice day. I came home from work & went to bed at 9:15.

Ray washed & cleaned house good, changed all the beds & did them. Ivard & Gene finished planting Grain & got most of hay planted, took some stumps out of garden & plowed it.

I got up at 2:30 & Ray & I went to town & got $30. worthy of groc. came home & went to bed at 5:30 but couldn't sleep it was so noisy. got up at 7:30 & ate & went back to bed at 8:30 till time to go to work. We all fasted but Jackie for Jerrys missionary work & we started to have family prayers.

Ivards nite off.

I went to bed at 5:30. nice day & hot. I came home from work & Ivard was home. He didn't go to bed but finished getting ground ready & started to plant grain.

I called Dr. Farber, child specilest & nurse said to bring Dean in at 10:30 so he bathed & I took him. He really gave him a god check over, blood analices & all, $10.50, he has nothing wrong, slight low blood pressure but within in normal range. no kidney trouble, dibetis, lukemia or any thing said his fainting could have been too hot a room while he was singing. came home at 1: & had a bath & dashed back in to relief society leadership meeting half hr. late. came home at 4:30 & Ivard went to watch Gene play ball & Ray stayed too. came home at 7:30 & got supper

got letter from Kay

Nice day. Ivard & I came home from work & went to bed & Dean watched Jackie & Debbie. we got up at noon & ate & took Debbie home. We watched T.V. awhile before Gail & Lynda got home. We played Penochle & at 6:45 we dashed up to store & got groc. then we came home. got home after dark & Ray had supper ready & had moved everything around & cleaned my bed room good.

We ate & went to bed until time to go to work.

Dean feels OK today but we kept him home to be sure.

Ivard went in pick-up & got tractor tire & left it at Don's until we came from Nyssa.

Wednesday, March 23, 1960

Dean fainted at school

nice day. I came home from work & Kids had gone to school on bikes. I read paper & at 9:30 school called & said Dean had fainted. Ivard got up & we went after him. He was really limp. Ivard carried him out to car. fixed him on davenport & he felt better in little while, wasn't sick or didn't hurt any place. don't know what could be wrong. Ivard took tractor tire in to OK rubber at 10: & never showed up all day. I went after Gene at 6: & we went up to Stockman & Gene went in & got him, playing cards. Gene drove pick-up home & Ivard came with me. Ray had supper ready & we ate & went to bed until time to go to work. I was sure mad at Ivard. Dean watched Kids & slept 2 hrs this afternoon.

Tuesday, March 22, 1960

got letter from Jerry

hot & nice. Ivard left car at Dobbs to have breaks relined & transmission fixed & I picked him up on way home from work.

Came home & read paper & went to bed & Ivard tended Debbie & Jacki I got up at 12:45 & bathed girls & got them ready & we went to relief society. Picked Ray up at school & waited an hr for Gene then came home without him. Ivard went to sleep & blew out a tractor tire. at 5:15 Ivard took me in to Dobbs to get car, cost $108.95. He waited at school for Gene & I came home. Ray had stew made for supper. & we ate at 7: when Ivard & Gene came.

We went to bed until time to go to work.

I drew $125. out of C.U. Savings & came home. Kids rode bikes to school.

I washed my bedding & spread & hung out & Ivard worked ground then at 10:30 we went to Bank & I wrote Kay letter on way & mailed it. Ivard saw about seed & we went & made appointment to have car fixed tomorrow. Came home & Debbie, Jackie & I went to bed at 1: when I woke up at 4: they were up & out playing. Ivard was still working ground. When Ray got home he got supper while we went in a7 got grain seed & Gene. I wrote mother on way & mailed it. We ate & Ray went to Mutual

Ray left early with Max to do rest of ward teaching & Ivard & Gene had one family they did befor priesthood.

Me & little Kids went to sunday school. came home & helped Ray get dinner & we were just eating when Gail came, they'd had dinner at park. I worked on Personal Record sheets all afternoon, until after dark. Johnson Kid came out to see Gene. Gail - Ivard - Gene Ray & Dean went bowling.

Gail went home about 6: & left Debbie here until Wed.

Ray went early to church with Mrs Pendelton for choir practice, no one else went. Ivard & I went to bed until time to go to work. Ivard left at 10:15 & got a $6. speeding ticket

I left at 11:30.

Saturday, March 19, 1960

got letter from Jerry

Nice day. Gene finished plowing & spread fertilizer & harrowed Ivard & I took Ray & Dickie in to clean mayors office at 8: & at noon I went & got them & got groc.

I washed 3 batches - rugs before I left & when I came home the washer was broke I called Terrys & they came out & put new motor on for $20. I washed some more cloths. Ray cleaned house & got dinner & we ate & Dickie walked home.

Gene milked bathed & went in to Garners in pick-up to sunday school party. They went bowling. he got home at 10:30. Ivard & I watched T.V. until it went off air. Ivard went to bed half hr. before

finished reading 3rd Nephi

I came home from work & took Kids to school.

Beautiful warm day.

I made lemonade & read 3rd Nephi.

Ivard spent all day working ground and going over to Caldwell with neighbor to borrow his lime spreader

I laid down with Jackie this afternoon & about died I was so tired.

Got up & ate & laid down on bed a min. & went to sleep & Ivard said it took him 15 min. to get me to take my dress off & go to bed, I didn't even know it.

Ivard & Gene went ward teaching. Ivard was sure tired he never laid down once until about 10:30 tonite. Dickie Small came home on bus with Ray & stayed all nite.

Read "Helaman" Sent Kay letter & $87.

sunny nice day. I went to office to see Mun but he wasn't there. Came home & Ivard had taken little boys to school. He went to bed & I ate & read paper then made me some tea & read Helaman then Jackie & I went to bed at 11:30 when she got up Ivard went out & plowed & she played outside. Ivard washed a batch of cloths.

Ray came home on bus & I got up at 4:14 & wrote to Kay & sent him some money when we went to town to relief society birthday supper. Ham - good - good programe. Came home at 9:30 & laid down until time to go to work.

Sunny nice day. I came home from work & Ivard had just got home & he took Kids to school while I got ready & I went & picked up Helen & Leva & we went & got Mrs Hansen & stoped at Merridian & got Mrs Jepson & we went to Boise to Dr. I drove. I lost 3 lbs & 1 in from my bust waist & hips. That made 8 lbs for mo. I got home at 1: & we ate & Ivard, Jackie & I went to bed. Ivard got up & went & got Kids. I got up at 5: & helped Ray get supper while Ivard went after Gene then Gene went over to Loaders & got Dale & we ate. I washed a batch of cloths & got books up.

Ivard & I went to bed at 7: until time to go to work.

Had a flat when we came out of work. Elna & I changed it.

came home & took Kids to school & ate & read paper. Ivard had just got home. at 10: we took Jackie & went to bed but she didn't let us sleep much We got up at 12:30 & went in to bank & paid blls then Ivard droped me off at relief society, & Jackie, & I gave my lesson on Tom Paine. Ivard went to see about seed & got the tire I left this morning

He came & got us at 3:30 & we got Ray & came home & got Kids, they were nearly up to Fire station

I got books up & Ray got supper. Gene came just as Ivard was going after him. We ate at 6: & Ivard & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Sunny - cold wind

I came home & took Kids to school Ivard had just got home & he fried bacon & we ate. I sorted cloths & washed my bedding & went to bed & Ivard washed cloths & tended Sis. He woke me up at noon & we made our bed & we went to bed Sis was asleep. when she woke up at 2: I got up & worked on relief society lesson.

Ivard got up & went after Kids & they went after Gene. Ray came home on bus & got supper. guy came & fixed leg on T.V. so its OK. so we will keep it.

We ate at 7: & Ray left for Mutual with neighbor, Pendleton. Gene did chores & went with Max. I went to bed at 7:30 with Ivard until time to go to work.

I came home & Ivard was home in bed. I went to bed but couldn't sleep, Kids made so much noise. Ivard got up & went to Priesthood with Max Barlow & Gene & Ray.

Me & Kids went to sunday school. Dale went home with Butlers & Dean brought Mike Perry home. Ray got dinner & I worked on my relief society lesson. Jackie & I went to bed at 4: & I woke up just as they all went out door to church I got up & had a drink of juice & went back to bed until couldnt sleep much, gas.

They came home & Ivard came to bed awhile then elft for work at 10:15 at Boise. I left for work at 11:

Finished reading Alma

rained most of nite & was snowing this morning. roads were white out this way. melted by noon. Ivard had taken Ray in to City Hall to work, for merit badge & was home again. I read paper & went to bed at 9:15. I got up at 12: & went after Ray & got groc. came home & worked on books & Ray got supper & we ate at 3: I fixed out my & Ivards Personal record sheet for genelogy work shop tomorrow.

I fixed some tea & finished reading Alma.

Ivard & Kids played cards games & watched T.V. Gene powed awhile.

I went to bed at 7: until time to go to work.

I came home from work & took Kids to school. Ivard was in bed so I made some tea & read paper & read in Alma until noon then Ivard got up & I went to bed at 1:15.

I washed some cloths.

Ivard went & got little Kids & went after Gene.

Ray came home on bus & fixed supper. I got up a min at 7:30 & I went back to bed until time to go to work.

Ivards nite off.

Ray scrubbed & cleaned good so he could go away tomorrow.

I went to work at 11: & it was half raining & half snowing.

Ivard's ulcers are no worse than they were.

sunny nice day. I came home & took Kids to school. Ivard had just got home & Gene & Ray missed bus so they took pick-up & went to school after I got home.

Ivard read paper & got ready & went in to Dr. & he sent him to hospital for exrays then he went back to Dr. & got home at 5:45. Gene got here right after. I made tea & read in Alma then Jackie & I went to bed at 12:30. & got up at 2:30 & I made some more tea & read until Ray came on bus & he got supper & I laid down but didn't get to sleep. Kids got home from primary just before Ivard came

We ate & I went to bed until time to go to work. Ivard & all the Kids took Ray over to Middleton to tournment - got beat. Ivard went to work without ever even laying down today.

Wednesday, March 9, 1960

Kay got Income Tax refund.

It was snowing when we came out come home. & time I got out here it was blizzarding so hard I could hardly see to take Kids to school, roads were white - melted & sun came out this afternoon. I made tea & read paper & washed a batch of cloths. went to bed at 10: with Ivard & Jackie. Ivard got up & tended her when she woke up. and did dishes I got up at 4: & worked on books & at 5:30 I went in & got Gene. Ray came home on bus & got supper. Ivard went back to bed at 4: till supper time. His stomach bothers him so he had milk toast.

We ate & I worked on my cordory pillow.

Ward Teachers came then Ivard & I went to bed until time to go to work

I came home & took Kids to school. Ivard was home & in bed. I ate & read paper & washed a couple of batches of cloths & went to bed at 10: took Jackie too but she wouldn't sleep so Ivard got up & tended her. I got up at 11:15 and made a salad & went in to relief society work day. had a real good dinner then I made a fancy cordory pillow. I went & picked Ray up after school & we had a drink at Pac Out then got my M.C.P. Sweetner at dairy queen & we waited for Gene to get out of practice. Ivard & Jackie went to sugar factory & got rest of fertilizer for beets. Ray got supper & I went to bed. Kay called about 8: Gene went to a Stake Supper for Priests & got home at 9: Ivard went to work at 10:15 & I went at 11:

Rained hard most of day. Came home from work & Ivard took Kids to school, he worked overtime & just got home. Gene didn't feel good so he stayed home then he & Jackie went in to Sugar Factory with Ivard & got a load of Fertilizer & I made tea & washed 2 batches of cloths. I was just going to bed when Relief Society Teachers came, Charlott Taylor & Mrs Kotters Mother. Ivard got home just before they left. Ivard & I went to bed & Gene tended Jackie & they went after little Kids at 3:30. We got up at 4: & I washed overalls Ray came on bus. & we fixed supper. Ivard & Gene hauled some manure. Ray did dishes while Gene bathed & at 6: Dad & Gene took Ray to Middleton to play in tournment. I wrote Kay 12 page letter & sent him 40. for rent & dentist & went to bed at 7:

We got up & ate & Gene & Ray went to Priesthood in Pick up. Ivard didn't sleep all nite his stomach hurt so he stayed home with Gail & I took Dean, Dale, Jackie & Debbie to sunday school. Came home & Ivard had potatoes & carrots cooked & I warmed up roast & made gravy & cooked peas & cleaned celery & we ate. Ray brought Roger Kotter home. They did dishes & watched T.V. & I wrote a biography for Gene & Ivard & Jackie had a nap. Gail went home at 5:

Black & cold wind, rained most of day.

Gene got up & did chores & hauled manure. The rest of us got up about 9:

Ray cleaned house good after he made waffles & they ate. cooked roast for tomorrow.

I washed cloths and finished my iorning, 33 pieces at 3:30 Ivard & I took Dale & Jackie in to Idaho Dept. Store to see "Miss Mary" of Romper Room school on T.V. We got groc. & came home & Ivard cooked halibut while I made salad & warmed over potatoes & gravy & we just finished eating when Gail, Lynda & Kids came. They ate & Ray did dishes & Gene did chores. We played 1 long hand of Penochle & watched T.V. & every one went to bed at 10:30 but Ivard & I, our nite off. We watched late show.

Ivard came home & went to bed & I got up & took Dale to school. Gene took pick-up & took Dean but wouldn't wait for Dale.

I came home & made me some tea & iorned all day, 50 pieces.

Ivard got up at noon & fed Jackie & watched T.V. & got he to bed for nap then got up at 3:50 & went & got Kids. Ray came home on bus & got supper & Gene did chores while Ivard took Ray over to Crofts to go to basketball practice. All the rest of us went to Givins Swimming Ray got home right after we did at 9:45. Had a drink of juice & they all went to bed but me & Gene. My & Ivards nite off. Went to bed at 1: A.M.

Thursday, March 3, 1960

roads were real slick. took me 1 hr & 20 min. to get home. Kids were late so I didn't take them to school, they were getting out at noon any way. I made some tea & read in "Alma," waiting for relief society teachers, said they'd be here at 10: but they never came. I went to bed at 1:15. Ivard got up & went in to sign up for beets at noon & never got home until 10:30 & left car & went to work Dean & Dale went to Primary with Mrs. Barlow at 3:30 & I got up & ate & dampened 77 pieces to iorn & read new relief society magazine. Gene came home at 5:30 & Ray stayed to play ball. fixed supper & went to bed at 7:30 but never could go to sleep, I was so mad. Ivard never even woke me up for he took off again. I got mad & laid off.

Wednesday, March 2, 1960

I came home from work & Ivard was home & took Kids to school while I got ready then I went to Taylors & went to Boise to Dr. in that half hr. it had snowed in Nampa till the roads were white & slick. Mrs Taylor droped us off at Dr. & went up town & we walked up & met her after & we had lunch & shoped around for material. Came home at 2:30 & went to bed & they woke me up at 6: We ate & I went back to bed until time to go to work Ivard left at 10:15 for Boise It was snowing & time we got over Caldwell way it was 2 or 3 in's deep. I nearly got my bumper hooked by Vie when she went to pass & skidded.

Gene went in & got hams & bacon we had cured. Ray cleaned house & got supper.

Ivard started working at Boise

Cold last nite. I came home from work & made tea & read paper & went to bed at 10:30 with Ivard & Jackie.

I got up at 1: & got ready & Ivard & I & Jackie went to town in Pick-up & Ivard droped us off at relief society. I bore my Testimony. Ivard went & paid gas & fuel oil - went to bank. got hair cut & got oil filter on pick-up fixed. He picked us up at 3:45 & we went to Kotters & she cut Jackie & my hair short. came home & Kids were all home & Ray had supper ready. We ate & I went to bed & Ivard took Ray in to Stake house to play ball then came to bed until we went to work.

sunny but a hard cold wind I came home & took Kids to school & made some tea & sorted cloths & washed 3 batches and wrote to Jerry Ivard got up at 11: & cooked liver & we ate & went to town & got his check & paid bills & sent Jerrys money came home at 4: & Ray didn't come home so I had to fix supper. Ray stayed in to Kotters & went to ball game & played.

I went to bed until time to go to work. Dean made his bed.
