Had brakes relined on my car

Sunny & cold - cloudy in afternoon

Ivard took car up to Dobbs at 8: AM & they had it all day relineing brakes.

I came home from work & read paper & ate & went to bed until 3:

Ivard took car up to D.Q at 3:40 for Ray to come home from school in & he went to work with Dusty. Ray came home & took Jerry & I up town shopping & to Bank. He left us at 5:30 & went to work at D.Q till 10:30 & Jerry & I went & got card at Dobbs & went to Safeway & Albertsons & got groc. Came home & ate & I went to bed after I got books up & Jerry & Dale went up town awhile.

Ray came home at 10:40 & went to Stake dance awhile.

got letter from Kay

Ray had stitches out of feet.

stormy & cold.

I came home from work & read paper & ate & watched T.V. & visited with Ivard & Jerry & went to bed at 10: & Ivard & Jackie went up & Paid P.F.C & took Jerry up but he walked home. He made so much noise in closet he woke me up at 12:30 & that was all the sleep I got today, 2 1/2 hrs & none yesterday. I dranke tea & I was so hoped up I couldn't. I got up & helped get Jackie ready & Ivard took her to Primary on his way to work. Jerry met Ray at 3:30 & took him to Dr. & had his stitches taken out of his feet then they went shopping until time to get Jackie & Dale.

I had shower & at 7:30 went over to Yorgensens to Stork shower on Marylen Harris. came home at 10:30 & went to work. Jerry worked at D.Q. 6: to close

Wednesday, November 28, 1962

cloudy & stormy looking all day.

I came home from work & Ivard was to work. I went right to bed because Jerry had to go to work at D.Q at 11:. I never did get to sleep I got up & washed 3 batches of cloths & found out my dryer was broke.

Jackie & I went to bed at 12:30 & she went to sleep but I tried so hard I couldn't. When Ivard got home we took cloths up to washateria & dried them while he went up to Rail Road.

Came home & I went to bed until time to go to work, but I never could go to sleep not one second today.

Dean fixed hot cakes for supper

cloudy all day - rained some

snowed in Boise

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed at 9:30. Ivard was to work. Jerry tended Jackie & they went up town.

I got up at 3: & took Jackie to dance class. Mrs Kotter called after we got there & I went & got Melissa, it still wasn't started we were We were there 2 hrs came home & Jerry had supper ready & we ate & Ivard took Ray yp to Dairy Q to work, 6: till close, first time back since he had his feet operated On.

Jerry went to Middleton to M-Men Gleaners with Mrs Murry.

I went to bed until time to go to work.

Monday, November 26, 1962

rained this morning - cloudy all day & breezy.

I got up & fixed breakfast & Dean & Dale went to school. Ray went back today, Jerry took him up.

I don't feel good, didn't do anything all day - played Scrabble with Jerry & with Ivard.

Jerry went card selling awhile

Ivard dug up water & went up town & got new shut off & got it fixed. I addressed Xmas cards

fixed supper & we ate when Kids got home. Ray went to Dr. & had his bandages changed.

Jerry & Dale went card selling

I went to bed until time to go to work. I still don't feel very good.

It was really raining when we went to work & most of the nite.

Sunday, November 25, 1962

Gene went back to Rexburg

sunny - cloudy - breezy, not too cold

I got up at 4:15 A.M. & fixed Gene & Marvin breakfast & at 4:35 Kotters came & took them & Kurt to Boise to catch the bus for Rex burg.

Ivard got up & did chores & took Ray & Dean to Priesthood & went up to Rail Road & placed himself on Herder job. He came home & got ready & him & Dale went to Sunday school. I read paper in bed. Got up at 10:30. I washed my hair in Clairall to wash away the grey.

Jerry worked at D.Q. 11: to 5:

Dean went home with Perrys until after church. We ate & Ray & Dale did dishes. Ivard went to work at 3: Ray did lessons & went & got Jerry at 5: & brought us a drink They all went to church & Jackie & I went to bed. I laid off, didn't feel like going to work.

Saturday, November 24, 1962

clear & breezy not too cold.

Jerry made waffles for breakfast & I cooked them. He wasn't going to work until 6: but they called him at 10:30 & he worked till 7:30

I changed my bed & washed it & did up all the other cloths. Gene, Ray, Dean & Dale went & had hair cut then we ate lunch & Dean cleaned house. I iorned all afternoon.

Gene drove me up town & got his bus ticket for Rex burg, groc, & stuff at drug store. We ate at 6: & they did dishes & we watched T.V. Marvin Haney came & stayed all nite to go back to Rex burg early in morning.

Ivard got home at 9: from New Meadows & went right to ed, been drinking. We all went to bed about 10:30 after I packed Genes suitcase. My last nite off. Ivard got cut off brakemens board.

Friday, November 23, 1962

Ivard left at 7: for Emmett, breaking for 2 days, drove my car.

At 9: Gene drove me & Ray up to Dr Clusters & Dr changed the bandages on Rays feet said they were doing real good. We went to Bank, came home & ate & Bishop brought Kays check so Gene took me up to bank again to put it in.

Jerry worked at D.q. all day. I washed & iorned all afternoon, played games with Kids

We ate at 6: & Gene went with John & Kurt to Boise to show. I feel awful Jackie & I went to bed at 7:

Thursday, November 22, 1962

We had breakfast & I made cranberry, Jello salad & put Turkey in to roast.

We played games.

Jerry went to work at D.q. 2:30 to 8:

About 4: here come Gail Lynda, & Kids, univited, I was mad. They brought Gene & stayed Thanksgiving dinner. Gene got home from Rexburg Monday nite & went on to Nyssa.

I have such a cold & its settled in my Sinus' I feel awful. Ivard got home at 5: from 2 day breaking trip to New Medows & we ate about 6:. Lynda didn't even offer to help, dishes or anything. I was really mad. They went home right after we ate.

We went to bed early

Wednesday, November 21, 1962

I came home from work & Ivard was gone breaking to New Medows until tomorrow nite. We have the next 4 nites off. I went to bed from 9:30 to 11: & got up & took Jerry up to D.Q. to work & Jackied tended Ray. I went & got $25. worth of groc. got a 16 lb. turkey. Came home & Sis & I ground crabberries & made relish & ground bread crumbs & made 3 big carrot puddings.

Dale went to Cub Scouts.

Mrs. Kotter called & said Gene had hitch hiked home so I called Rexburg but Mrs. Peterson said he left Monday then I was worried. I called Marion & she said they came Monday nite with Roger. Gene just walked in while I was talking so I talked to him. Went to bed early.

real cloudy & windy. chanook wind all nite - real warm

I came home from work & ate & read paper & went to bed at 10: Ivard was in bed too, he doesnt feel good. I woke up at 1: & Ivard got up - I worked on my books.

Ray feels pretty good but dizzy.

Jerry went up & got us a drink & Ivard went up to R.R. to see how many times out he was.

We had supper & I went to bed until time to go to work. rest of them watched T.V.

I came home from work & read paper & ate & went to bed at 9:30.

Ivard left breaking to Emmett at 10:15, got home at 12:30 A.M.

Jerry or Ray didn't work today they went & got a few groc. for me & tended Sis.

I got up at 3: & got books up & washed a batch of cloths.

At 4: Jerry fixed supper & we ate & at 5: I took Ray up to Dr. Clusters office & he operated on both of his big toes for ingrown toe nail, took a big hunk out of each side of his big toe, Proud flesh & toe nail root, froze them. It was 7: time he was through & nearly 8: time we got Perscriptions & got home. I went to bed until time to go to work & Jerry tended Ray all N.

Sunny - nice day - snow melted

I came home from work & went to bed at 9: & got up at 11:  & got Jackie ready for S.S & Ray came & got her & Dale after Priesthood.

I cooked a round steak with Potatoes & carrots under & read papers.

Ivard was gone, breaking, when I got home.

Kids didn't have to work today

We ate at 2: when Kids got home & I went to bed at 3:

Jerry had to speak at 2nd Ward with high Councile.

Ray & Dean & Dale went to church.

Ivard got home at 8:  & him & Jackie came to bed & woke me up & I got a stomach ache & couldn't go back to sleep.

Saturday, November 17, 1962

First snow storm

cloudy & breezy - snowed a skiff about 6:30 & rained, roads were just wet.

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed at 9:30 & woke up at 1:30.

Jerry worked at Dairy q. all day & Ray worked 6: to close.

I went up to D.q. when I got up & sat for couple hrs. while Mr. Johnson showed me his collection. got milk & bread & came home & helped Dean fix supper & we ate.

Jerry came home & went to church to M-Men Gleaner Party.

Dean made cut out cookies & Ray defrosted ice box this afternoon.

I just got in bed at 6:30 when Ivard got home from 2day breaking trip to New Meadows, he bathed & came to bed.

I went to work at 11:15

Friday, November 16, 1962

Gail & Family was here

cloudy but nice.

I came home from work & read paper & got ready & Jerry, Sis & I went up to bank & got $119. worth of Parking Meter dimes & went through them for my collection, got 6 I needed & another book of Roosevelt's all but 3 & about 15 that are worth 25 cents or more. We were just bagging the last of them when Gail came & stayed all afternoon. They left at 3: & we dashed up to bank & took dimes back & Jerry went one way & me another & got all the bills paid & I took him to work at D.Q. at 3:30 & Picked Ray up & took to Foot Dr. He thought he was going to have them operated on but he still had a little infection, will do it Monday. We droped in at our ward Bizzar & Ray stayed & I came home & went to bed at 6:30. Dean had Sat. work done. Ivard was gone to New Meadows for 2 days breaking when I got home this morning.

I ate & read paper & went to bed.

Jerry had to work at D.Q. this afternoon so I got up & tended Sis, washed some cloths & watched T.V.

I got ready & took Jackie to Primary & went & got feed & $33. worth of groc. with my check then picked Kids up at Primary & came home & Ivard was home.

We fixed supper & ate

lady called, Mrs Weaver, & said they were going up after her daughter & would bring Gene home so I wrote him & told him.

I got up & washed some cloths & fixed my 4 Blacker contests & Ivard and I took them over before supper & had a drink at Dairy q.

I came home from work & went to bed.

I got up at 2:00 & took Jerry up to work at D.Q. from 2:30 to close.

Ivard worked all day.

At 3:15 I took Jackie to dancing class then we went & got milk & bread & at 6: I took Ray to work at Dairy queen till close.

I went to bed at 6: & at 7:30 Dale woke me up and I got ready & Ivard & I & Dale went up to his school to Open house. We came home at 9: & I laid down until time to go to work.

Ray went to Dr. Markison & had blood test.

Monday, November 12, 1962

cloudy.

Ray went down to Rogers. & listened to ball game, didn't get up in time to go to school & he had to be to foot Dr at 3:30, I went & got him at Kotters & took him.

Ivard went breaking to Boise 3: A:M: to 8:30.

I changed all the beds & washed 6 batches. Dean & Jerry made them.

Ivard, Jerry, Ray & I played Scrabble awhile.

Ivard went to Caldwell at 1:30 to Nampa, Calwell game & got home at 4:45.

Jerry made potatoe soup & Dean made blackberry upside down cake & we ate at 5:30.

I went to bed at 6: until time to go to work.

No Mutua.

Ray worked at D.Q. 9:30 to 5:

I got up & washed cloths & iorned all afternoon.

Jerry & Dale went Xmas card selling.

Dean scrubbed & waxed floors & cleaned house. Ivard went breaking today so we ate supper about 3:30 he came not long after.

Ivard took me up to get a few groc. & take Jerry & bring Ray home.

Ray went chaseing around country side.

We went to bed early I don't feel good, bad cold.

Friday, November 9, 1962

rained some this morning & all afternoon.

I came home from work & went right to bed at 9: & Jerry got me up at 10:45 to take him up to Dairy Q. to work 11: to 6:

I washed my bed & Ivard helped me make it when he came from work at 2:30., got off early.

Ray went to foot Dr. at 1: & went & got hair cut & ate at D.Q. He went to work at 3:30 to 10: first time this week. Hes been in bed all week with his feet & head (teeth)

I washed 4 batches of cloths

We went up to Safeway at 3:30 & got meat & stoped at D.Q. & had drink then had to go back up & take Rays Pills. I made gulosh for supper, hamberger, corn lima beans & tomatoe soup - onion & chilli Powder & Ivard baked potatoes. Ivard came home for lunch & ran out of gas by D.Q. & I had to go push him to station. My nite off. Ray went & had tooth out at 6: & Jerry finished for him.

Thursday, November 8, 1962

Gail & Kids left at noon & took Lynda & new baby home.

Nice. Got letter from Aunt Minnie.

I came home from work & visited Gail awhile & washed a batch of cloths then went to bed. Gail left at noon to take Lynda home from hospital.

Ivard was to work & Ray was at Dentist when I got home, got 2 teeth filled.

Ivard & I played a game of Scrabble then we took Jackie to Primary & Jerry went & got her.

Jerry cooked lima beans & ham & I made lettuce salad & we ate & Jerry went up to work at D.Q from 6: to close

Me - Ivard & Jackie went to bed at 7: & Ray & he (Ray) was in such pain I called to Dr Lee but he'd left town so I called nurse & she called Dr Hansen & he phoned in a prescription to Drug store, so Ivard got up & went & got it, if Ray wasn't any better by 11: he was to go get it out, but he was asleep when I went to work

Got letter from Lyle (Dean)

I came home from work froze to death. I turned blanket on high & went to bed.

Rays head still pains so he went back to Dr Lee & he ex-rayed all his teeth & he had a cavity on inside of a top & bottom tooth, he'll go & have them fixed in morning Ivard took him. Ivard went to work at 3:30 - floated on his day off. I got up at 3:30 & fixed supper

Jerry worked 11: to 6: at D.Q. I went up to get him & went & got gas & milk first & some one else brought him home. We ate & Sis & I went to bed, I was so tired & Sis has a bad cold. Ray missed school again.

Gail, Debbie - Jeff & Kris came, after they saw Lynda at hospital, & stayed all nite. Aunt Vene called from Boise & said Uncle Ward died this morning. I went to work at 11:15.

Tuesday, November 6, 1962

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed.

Jerry took his car back to Caldwell & gave it back to them because they wouldn't fix it. Ivard & Jackie went & got him.

Ray was home in bed all day with his feet & teeth.

I got up at 2:30 & Ivard went to work at 3:30 & I took Jackie to Dancing class, after I brought her home & went & got gas & groc. & went & voted then went to D.Q. & had hamberger & fries & drink & brought Kids home a hamberger then I went to hospital to see Lynda & baby, looks like the rest of them.

Jerry & Ivard went & voted then Jerry went & worked at D.Q. 1: to 10:, worked for Ray & some one else.

I came home at 8: & went to bed till work.

Ivard went to work at 7:30 & came home for lunch. I woke up & Gail & Jeff & Kriss was here, they'd taken Lynda to hospital, she had a girl at 1:48. I fixed Kids lunch & went back to bed. Jerry was asleep.

Jerry woke me up at 4:30 to eat he got supper. after we ate Jerry & Dale went selling cards & Gail rode with them. Dean did dishes. Ray has to lay with his feet up.

Jerry took Dean to Mutual & came home & went to bed.

Sunny - warm nice day

Ivard & I got up at 12:30 & went to Testimony meeting & took Dale & Jackie, didn't wake up early enough to go to Sunday school, we woke up & read paper & Ivard went to Kotter & got Ray then we went back to sleep.

Ray worked 10: to 6:

Dean went collecting Fast offerings then to Priesthood, S.S. & testimoy meeting. After church we all went & had a Polio shot (3 drops on lump of Sugar), first one - Ivard & I, Dean Dale & Jackie.

We ate dinner & Ivard & I went to store & went to Dairy q & had drink & gave Ray his slip to go have Shot after work.

Got books up. No church tonite.

Ivards day off.

Ivard & I went to bed at 6: & I went to work at 11:15

Saturday, November 3, 1962

We went to Rexburg

Ivards & my day off.

We got up at 4:30 AM & Ivard & I, Dean, Dale & Jackie left for Rexburg at 4:50. We stoped in Arco & had breakfast & got gas & got to Gene's at 11: but he had already gone to gym to rest before game. Marvin gave us our tickets Gene had got us. We went & had drink & went to game, started at 1:30 today. Beautiful warm sunny day.

B.J.C. beat Ricks 23 to 14. Gene got hurt just as game ended. He realed off field & they laid him out & gave him a shot, his back. Carried him off on stretcher. We went up to gym & Ivard went in for about hr. & Gene walked out with him. We took him & Marv down to where they eat & we went & ate then sat out in front of Genes & talked awhile left for homeat 7: got home at 12:30. Ray worked all day & stayed at Kotters.

Friday, November 2, 1962

Mother left for home - Jerry took her

Got announcement from Lyle

warm - sunny day.

Kids went to school & Jerry went to see about business & register to vote.

Ivard bid on a day job, vacation vacancy for 2 weeks & worked his first day today, came home for lunch.

I washed cloths all day & changed beds & iorned all afternoon.

I tried on dress Mother gave me for my birthday & she shortened it in waiste & put zipper in Jackies new jumper I made her.

We ate at 4: when Kids came from school & at 4:30 Jerry left for Utah & took Mother home. 3 girls went with him too.

Ivard & I went up & registered to vote & got some apples to take Gene & got car greased up. me & Dean made beds & Ivard went to game. I bathed & went to bed. My nite off. Ray worked after school till 10:30.

Thursday, November 1, 1962

I laid off.

I came home from work & read papers & washed some cloths then I went to bed for 3 hrs. got up at 3:30 & Ivard had gone to work. Jerry went job hunting & took an aptitute test at unemployment office.

Ray took Jackie to Primary & went & got her.

I got supper & we ate at 6: Kids did dishes.

Ray went to Play ball. Jerry & Dale went to sell Xmas cards.

Mother is going home tomorrow so I laid off & we visited tonite & watched T.V.

Ivard came home & went to bed, he has to go to work again in morning.
