Kristines Birthday 4 years old.

53° cool & cloudy & sunny

I came home from work & Ivard was asleep so I read paper & ate & went to bed. Ray stayed at Gails last nite.

I woke up at 12:30 & Ivard was gone so I washed batch of cloths ate and cleaned up house & were crocheting when he came at 2: so we went to Bank & paid all the Bills then got sister at 3: & took her to library & got her card & draged her off at Primary & Jerry got her on his way from work & Ivard & I went to Middleton to Herb Maxwell's & got a bunch of strawberry Plants. Came home at 6:15 & Jerry had barbacue & all the trimmings fixed ready to eat.

Ray worked at D.q. 6: to close. Ivard & Kids went up & took Kristine a dollar for Gail was going away. Jerry took Dean & Dale selling candy.

Wednesday, April 29, 1964

63° when we came home-cloudy all day & windy. Thunder & lightening at 3:30 & rained hard.

I read paper & went to bed at 9:30. woke up at 12:45 & never could go back to sleep but I stayed in bed. Ivard came to bed & went right to sleep.

Ray went up to Gails at noon with Lyle.

Ivard went to work at 4:

I made out some payments to mail & got books up. We ate after Jerry came & he took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens to Piano lesson & Dale to clean D.q. yard after. Jackie went in her bed room & watched T.V. & I went to bed until time to go to work. Ray stayed to Gails all nite after he tended Kids for Lyle awhile.

Tuesday, April 28, 1964

50° when we came from work, got up to 80 today. I read paper and went to bed at 9:, Ivard was in bed.

Jerrys day off he did business worked on reports & spaded flower bed.

I got up at 1:45 & Ivard & I went to bank & paid Dr. Daines & hospital with my check for Rays tonsciles, Ins.

had drink at D.q. & went & picked Jackie up at 3: came home & at 3:50 Ivard droped us off at Ila Hatches for dancing on his way to work. Jackie & I walked clear home, 10 Blocks.

Ray rented a roto tiller & did up back garden to plant lawn & the garden, took it back & missed us at dancing.

I washed a batch of cloths. Gail & family were here few min.

I went to bed until time to go to work.

got letter from Gene

49° sunny & nice all day.

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed at 9:. Ivard & Ray were still in bed.

Ray woke me up at noon to eat dinner with them & I went right back to bed. I woke up at 3:50 & Ray was spadeing up back yard & Ivard was gone, buming Ray thought. We went to work at 4:

Dean defrosted icebox & Dale came home & went & did D.q. yard. I fixed supper & we ate when Jerry came home

Lyle came at 4: & Jackie went home with him until 8:

Jerry & Dean went to Library then came home & Jerry went to meeting at Stake H.

I went to bed until time to go to work.

Sent letter to Mother and Kay

cloudy-cold wind.

Ivard went to work in Boise for 7:30 A.M. & I read paper in bed & went back to sleep.  Jerry woke me up at 9:50 to take him to work at D.q. 10: to 5: he'd already taken Ray, Dean & Dale to church Jackie was in Tub & didn't get ready in time. I washed a batch of cloths & worked on my books. wrote letter To Mother & Kay.

Kids got ride home & Ray took off up to Gails until 2:15.

Ivard got off early & was home be 1: so we ate about 2: & he went to bed for hr. then went up to Rail Road to Mark up, at 3:30. Jackie & I rode with him & I mailed my letters. Came home & Ivard took me up to D.q. & Had drink then we went for ride & looked at new houses Lyle & Kids came & watched Disneyland They all went to Church & I went to bed

Saturday April 25, 1964

went to Stake Gold & Green ball

rained this morning early-Cloudy

Ivard went to work in Boise for 7:30 A.M., he got home about 4: I got up & washed my hair.

Dean cleaned house & I changed Kids beds & washed every thing up. I iorned all day, did 92 pieces today & yesterday.

Ray went to work 12:30 to 6:30 at D.q.

Jerry came home for lunch.

Dean went with Mr. Taylor for awhile at 1: to Pass merit badge.

I made big Kettle of Chili & we ate when Jerry came at 5:30

Everyone got ready & Ray & Dean went with Jerry & Ivard & I went alone to Stake Gold & Green ball.  Lyle & Gail were there too.  Dale came home from Gails & cleaned D.q. yard (on bike) & got home at 8:30 he tended Jackie. got home at 11:50

38° rained from midnite on until about 9: or so. Sun awhile then real cloudy

I read Paper & went to bed at 9:30 until 11:30 then I got up & iorned all afternoon. fixed supper & we ate at 5:20 when Jerry came.

Ivard went to Boise to work for 7:30 A.M. got home about 4:

Ray went to work at D.q. 12: to 6: I picked him up when I took Barbra to work. Lyle was working so Ivard & Jackie went up & Tended Kids & I brought her back to work.

Dean did dishes & him & Jerry went off on Business.

I went to bed at 7:

Dale rode his bike up to Gails at 5: & stayed all nite to work tomorrow. Ray watched T.V.

33° when we came home. cold wind & cloudy. about all the fruit is frozen.

Ivard & Ray were in bed. I ate & read paper & went to bed & Ivard got up & cleaned ditch out. water came. I woke up at 2: & Ivard came to bed & rubbed my back.

Ray went to work at D.q. 2: to 6:

I got up & got supper & we ate when Jerry got home. Ivard went up to Lyles to help Clifford start his car & brought Stanley & Terry home for supper.  Took them home about 8:

Ivard took Sis to Primary & got her on his way up to Lyles

I went to bed at 6:30 until time to go to work but didn't get much sleep.

Wednesday, April 22, 1964

cold wind_ rained & snowed all day. I washed cloths all morning & worked on books then after lunch Ivard & I & Ray went to bank & paid bills & went & saw Mr Madison, Thorn & Johnson about a character letter for Ray on Probation officers. Went up to Gails few min & for gave $1. to Jeff for his birthday yesterday. Came home & fixed supper & ate when Jerry came from work. We got SIs from school on way to Gails.

Jerry took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens to Piano lesson & droped Ray off to see Bishop then took Dale to clean D.q. yard.

Ivard did dishes & I finished getting books up & went to bed at 6:30 until Time to go to work

Went at 11: after a week off every one was in bed but Ray, last day of Ivards Vacation

Came home from Utah, slid off road

cold-rain - hail. We came got up & ate & went to Salt Lake & parked out by Temple & waited for Jerry to come from Dr., came down this morning on bus. Jackie & Ivard went in Temple grounds looking for him & I Crocheted He came at 11: & we went up to hospital & Jerry, Ray & I went in few min. & told Mother goodbye not visiting hrs. left for home at 1: after we stoped at Irvins & picked up meat pies we ordered.

got in cloud burst out of Brigham City & hailed on us out by tremonton. hit slick spot just before we came to end of freeway, comeing to Tremonton & turned around & slidded off down in deep borrow pit & up aother side to other road turned around again & came to rest wedged cross wise in barrow pit. had to have wrecker come & Tow us out. Car wasn't hurt on us. I thought sure we'd tip over, doing at least 60. I drove to Paul, from other out by Howell stoped in Jerome & ate supper. got home at 9:30. just before Kids came from Mutual

Gene left for Fiji

sunny. got up & all had bath & got ready & ate & packed up, I went to Salt Lake & got Gene $200. worth of travelers check & some film then went out to Irvins & had lunch Irv gave Gene $20. we went to airport by 1:30 and at 2:40 Gene flew out on Western 4 engine Jet for San Francisco on his way to Fiji.  Ray Tovey & Claudia came to see him off. We dashed in to L.D.S hospital & Ivard & I & Ray went up & saw mother & left Jackie in Lobby she feels a little better, they are takeing all Kinds of tests. We went out & saw Fat & Sara & had supper with them then took Jackie over to Irvins & left her & went to hospital again at 7: Ray went to ball practice with Mike & Frank. We stoped & got Ray & we went over to Irvins awhile then at 10: we went up to Stellas to stay all nite. Kept us up until after midnite watching slides. I was So tired.

woke up at 7: & got my diary up While Ivard had bath then went over to Ruths to see how mother was. ate breakfast & Ray did dishes then Ivard & I_ Ray & Jackie went to Salt Lake & got a few groc. then out to Ruth & Rays at 12:15. Bernice, Ken & Kent came & Dean & Shirley & families & we had a real good buffet lunch then at 1:50 Ivard & I dashed to S.L. & got Gene from mission home & went back to Ruths & Gene ate & he went back to S.L. to hospital with Berniece to see mother then he had to be back to mission home at 4:45. We went to Kim's homecomeing then Ivard & I, Kay & Claudia, Ray & Kent went in to Genes Testimony meeting, were a little late. left Sis with Ruth. Gene went through & said who he was & where he was going. got out at 8: & Gene checked out of missionary home & we took Ray& C to Petersons & went & got Sis & went back to Grantsville & stayed.  really rained

Took Mother to hospital

We got up & ate & got ready & Ivard & I went to Salt Lake to see Gene Ray & Jackie stayed with Mother.  We left about 10: They won't let you see missionaries any more but said we could talk to Gene a few min. when he came out for lunch so we parked in front of mission home & talked to him a few min. decided to get rest of his things MOnday before he left. We went out to Irvins & had lunch then RUth had to take her gal to have her hair done so I sat & crocheted while Ivard went & had haircut then we went up to Ruth & Rays & visited all afternoon & had supper.  We got back to Grantsville at 10:30 & Bernice & Ken had taken mother to Salt Lake to L.DS hospital, she was haveing bad pain in her stomach or side.  We went to bed & I laid awake for long time but never did hear them come home to find out how she was.

Friday, April 17, 1964

Ray got out of jail on $2000. property bail Dean Winters signed.

We got up at 6: A.M & got ready & ate & left Jackie with mother & went to Provo for Rays hearing at District Court, at 9:30. Ray said he was guilty & judge gave him 3 probation officers 3 weeks to investigate then he has to appear May 8 for sentencing. all the others were getting out on probation for first offence. They took Ray back to jail & we went with Dean & he signed a $2000. property bail to get Ray out then he went to jail & got him & we went on out to American Fork to Donnas & waited.  When they came Ray had shower & cleaned up & Dean & Donna took us to Provo & bought our dinner at a real nice chinese resturant had a good chinese dinner. They took us back to their place & we got our car & went back to Provo & left note for Kay & went & saw Probation Officer & got permission to take Ray home until his trial May 8th.  Then we went up to school to book store & Ivard went in & talked to Kay then we went to Grantsville, got there at 6:20 & stayed all nite. visited.

got to mothers at 8:30 & satayed all night Mother is still sick.

Ivard started week's vacation

We got into Salt Lake at 7:45, I slept most of way I was so tired. We sat a few min. & here came Kay & Claudia to Pick us up. The Indian had never even told Donna. Kay had called home when he found out about Ray & Jerry told him we would be in on train. We took Claudia up to State Capitol to work & we went to Provo. stoped at Donna's & got our car, they'd gone down to Provo brought back when Ray got put in jail.  We went up to B.Y.U. & saw Security Agent & he took us down to county jail to see Ray for few min., he seemed subdued & sorry. After we went back up & got our car we went & had hamberger & visited from 11:30 to 2:45 & took Kay to work

We went & saw Rays Bishop at 1:15, he is Dean at school.  He told us Ray had taken his roommates credit card Jan 16 & bought $55. worth of cloths, before he came home.  He turned himself in.  Its a felony from 1 to 20 yrs forgery. at 4: we went down & saw City attorney to see what was best to do for Ray, he said same as Security officer, plea of mercy stoped in Orem & had supper & went to Grantsville

Ivard-Jackie & I left for Utah

48° warm & sunny. I got a weeks leave of absence at work to go to Utah. Came home & ate & read paper & washed cloths trying to get ready.

Ivard had to go to Boise Today 7:30 a.m., got home about 4:30.

I got so tired I went to bed at noon, just got in bed when Jerry came home to take me to bank. Lyle had let him take car on his lunch hr. but I decided not to go.  I never woke up until Jackie came home & woke me up. I figured out Ivards check & made out payments to mail & when Ivard came we dashed to Caldwell & got my check & came back to Superior Western & Andre cut Jackies hair while Ivard went & got Jerry & we ate & I finished packing & at 8: Jerry Dean & Dale took us up to depot & Ivard & I & Jackie left for Utah on train to see about Ray.

Tuesday, April 14, 1964

Ray got put in Jail in Provo

warm & sunny. I came home from work & read paper & went to bed at 9:30. Ivard got home at 5:30 A.M & was in bed.

Jerrys day off, he did income tax & stuff.  Ivard didn't work today

I got up at 12:30 & finished our income tax for State & Federal & did both of Rays.

Donna called about 5: & said Ray was in Jail in Provo on $1000. bail he'd called them for it but they didn't have it, he told them not to tell us.  forging his roommates credit card for $35. worth of cloths Ivard & I went & got Sis from dancing & went up to Bishops office & he called Rays Bishop in Provo to find out what he could he was to call back but hadn't when I left for work.  Donna called again & told us more & said Ray would stay in jail.

Kids went to Mutual & Jerry went & got them after he worked 1 hr for Barbra

Gene entered Mission Home

43° when we came home sunny all day. breeze. I was so tired when I got home I went streight to bed at 8:30 & never woke up until 2:30. washed some cloths & worked on income tax, got them all ready to copy & let Ivard do that after supper.

Dean got supper & we ate after Ivard went & got Jerry.

Dean did dishes & him & Jerry went Home Teaching

Lyle came & got Dale to tend Kids.

I went to bed at 7:15 until time to go to work.

Gene left for Salt Lake to mission home Ray went to Salt Lake to Dr.

sunny & breezy. I got up & cooked a good breakfast & Jerry & Dean went to Stake Conference Ivard got home at 5:30 & slept until 8:30 then got up & took car up & had greese job & oil change & I finished getting Gene & Ray packed & when Ivard got back at 10:40 we let Gene take car to go to Salt Lake to mission home. & Ray went to see Dr & stay all week.  We'll go on train Friday nite & have car when we get there, Ray will me us Sat. morning.

Jerry & Dean came & had lunch & went back to conference.

Kids called at 9:15 from S. Lake

Lyle & Kids came at 3: until 8: I couldnt bath, go to sleep or anything. washed my hair & went to bed at 8:30 but never did go to sleep. I went to work at 11: Ivard didn't work today.  Jerry & Dean left at 6:30 for Dean to Practice. had to sing in Chores tonite.

Saturday, April 11, 1964

got letter from mother

Cold wind_ rained during nite cloudy, rained little today.

Dale got up & went on route with Gail all day. I was all day marking & packing Genes cloths. changed all the beds & washed them. iorned.

Took Ray up to work at D.q at 10: & he bought me a drink then we took his mail up at 2: & he gave Ivard, Jackie & I one.

Dean cleaned house & made beds.  Jerry came home for lunch & Gene took him back & went up to high school to college track meet.

At 5: Ivard went & got Jerry & Ray from work & we headed for Givins. Gene went with Lyle & Ray. Gail got there right after at 6:15.  I didn't go swimming, had cold.  We came home at 8: & got jello & went up to Gails, all of us & ate. Gene's farewell.  Came home at 10:30 & went to bed.  Ivard had to be to work at 11: My nite off.

Lyle & Barbra were married in I.F Temple Gene got his endowments.

I came home from work & Ivard was home & in bed so I read paper & went to bed at 9:

Ray went to work 10: to 6: at D.q.

I borrowed $400. from Credit Union for Gene & Car Ins. so I got up at 1:30 and made 4 banna pies & Ivard peeled vegetables & I cooked stew for supper then when Jackie got home at 3:45 we went & pd. Car Ins, got marking pencile for Genes cloths, Sis put some money & her & Dales X mas club & I got $17. worth of groc. came home & made biscuits on stew & when Jerry got home we ate & I took him up to work at D.q. at 6:

Lyle brought Gene home about 7:, Lyle got married in Temple & had Kids sealed to him & Gene got his endowments. about 9:30 Ivard & I went up to D.q. had drink & went to bed. Ivard didn't work today. My nite off.  Ray was chasing around

Lyle & family & Gene went to Idaho Falls

little cooler when we came home this morning. I read paper & went to bed at 9: Ray was gone up to tend Lyles Kids then worked at D.q. all day.

Ivard was home & in bed.

I got up about 1:30 & helped Gene get ready & he went to Rexburg with Lyle Barbara & Kids, they stayed in Idaho Falls all nite & Gene in Rexburg. going through Temple tomorrow.

When Jackie came from school Ivard took her to Primary they Jerry called & said to come early to get him &  he'd give me some money to buy groc., got $33. worth got Jackie on way home & came home & ate & Jerry went to work at D.q. 6: to close & Ray came home.

45° when we came home, sunny & nice.  I read paper & went to bed at 9:30.  Kids woke me up at 11:30 but I went right back to sleep & never woke up until 4: I got up & washed some cloths & fixed supper & we ate when Jerry got home at 5:15 then Gene & Ray went to Nyssa to visit Kids, Schulthies, and Jerry took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens to Piano lesson. I'm too tired to practice until I get income tax out of way & Gene gone.

Ivard did all that mess of last nites dishes.

Gene got his 2 new suits in mail from Boise

I went to bed at 7: but didn't sleep much.  Kids never got home until 10:30 went & tended Lyles Kids.

Ivard left for work at 10:50 & I went at 11: Gene & Ray got home at 3 AM

nice day.  I got up & took Jackie to school.

Ivard's birthday, 49.  He came home from work & went to bed & I was just starting his birthday cake at 10: when he got up so I had him help. I made white cake with orange filling & 7 min. iceing & lots of coconut. Put a roast on & Ivard & I & Ray & Gene went up town & got rest of Genes shirts & shoes & saw about suitcase came back to Dairy queen & Ray bought us all our lunch. Came home & took Sis dancing after I got back from Takeing Gene for his last shots & got his health card. got home at 6: & just got supper on table when here came Gail & family & ate he went & got icecream to go with cake. Ray was up tending Lyles Kids.  I went to bed at 9: & went back to work at 11:

Jerry left for Utah to Dr.

I got up after Kids went to school & washed 3 batches of cloths & hung out & spent all day working on income tax. fixed supper at 5:30 & we ate.

Gene went to Caldwell & drew all his money out of his Savings had to come home & get my signature & go back. Ray went with him but saw Gail on the way so he went with Gail.

Dale came home from school & went selling hobby show tickets. Jerry went to turn in his monthly report.

Ivard went to bed early & went to work at 11:

Ray came home in Gails car & got Gene & they went & watched Gail bowl. Jerry went got home at 8: & we dashed up & got Rays Pass & Jerry cought 8:30 train for Utah. I went to bed.

Sunday, April 5, 1964

Cloudy. Sunny. cold windy

Jerry & Dale went up to Priesthood rest of them stayed in bed & listened to general conference. They didn't stay for Sunday S. at noon then went again & collected fast offerings.

I got up & put turkey on to cook & went back to bed & read paper & my book. got up at 11:30 & finished getting dinner & we ate at 1:30.

and listened to conference again

Some English guy came for awhile over where Annie is on her mission.

I took Jerry up to work at D.q 3: to 7: & he gave me a drink & I waited until Dale cleaned up his yard. Jerry went to church then had to go back to D.q., he traded around so he could go to Duaines farewell

Lyle & Kids came after they took Barbra to work at 5: & Gail & watched T.V. got mad because I made them leave so we could lock house before we all went to church.

Ivard didn't work today- I was off sick

Saturday, April 4, 1964

Cold windy & cloudy.

Ivard went to work at 7:30 A.M & Jerry at 8: Jerry came home for lunch & Gene took him back & went to ball game.

Dale went up & met Gail at 7: & worked all day & Gail brought him home at 6:30

Ray went to work at D.q. 11: To 6:

Dean cleaned house. I washed few cloths & laid down most of day & read, I feel awful.

When Ivard came home him_ Gene & Jackie went up & watched ball game I started supper & went after Jerry at 5: & we ate & Jerry went To work at D.q. 6: to close, I took him up. Jerry bought Turkey for tomorrow.

Ivard_ Gene, Ray Dean & Dale went over to Stake house to Priesthood conference at 7: & when Gail left I watched T.V. When Ivard came at 9: we went up to Lyles & he cut his hair then we stoped at D.q. & Jerry gave us a drink.  I laid off sick.

Lyle moved up in government housing

I came home so sick. I read paper & went to bed. Ivard was already home in bed.

Ray went & helped Lyle move until 11: then worked at D.q. 11: to 6:

Gene came home at noon & him & Ivard went & helped Lyle move all rest of day.

We have to work this week end but I'm hemorraging too bad so I called in sick & they said I had to take 3 nites off for missing week end, I'll be that long any way but I sure could use the money.

Ivard came home at dark & we ate & he went to bed but he didn't have to work Tonite.

Lyle came & took Ray to help finish moveing & Dale to tend Kids. I went to bed early.  didn't get much sleep_too sick.

I was froze when I got home. I made me some pop corn & read paper & went to bed at 9:30. Ivard was already home & in bed.

got up at 1:30 & Ivard took Ray up to work at D.q. 2: to 6: then we went to Caldwell & put Dales money in bank & Pd on my laway. stoped at Smilies & had hamberger & root beer.  went to bank & got groc. Came home & got supper & Ivard took Sis to Primary then came & took Dale to get their hair cut & do and errand for Lyle & get Sis
