Kristines birthday

sunny & breezy - cloudy tonite

Had a flat tire when I came out of work. Chief helped us change it.

I came home & took Dean to school

I washed 7 batches of cloths

Ivard got home from Glenns Ferry at 10: & we went up & paid bills - We stoped to bank & here came Gail, Lynda & all Kids, their car was in getting greese job, we hauled them around town & brought them home awhile then Ivard took them back. I went right to bed at 12:30 & got up at 4: & tended cloths & got supper. Ivard took Ray to work after school went & got the tire & picked Jerry up. We ate & all of us went to Mutual to Talent Show. Jackie & rest of dance girls from our ward did their Patso dance. We came home at 9:30 & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Sunday, April 29, 1962

froze last nite - nice today

I came home from work & went to bed & read paper, just got to sleep when Ivard came & went to bed.

Jerry - Ray & Dean went to Priesthood. Dale woke me up at 11:15 & I had to read my sunday school lesson & get me & Jackie ready by time Ray came after us at 11:35.

Ivard stayed in bed most all day. I came home from church at 2: & went to bed & Jerry - Ray & Dean went over to Stake House to Missionary meeting & never got home until 6: then they left for church at 6:30 - chorus practice first.

Ivard & Dale went up to Dairy queen & got them & me & Jackie hamberger fries & milk shake for our supper. We went back to bed. Ivard left for Glenns Ferry at 8:

Ivard left for Glenns Ferry at 8:30 & U went to work at 11:

Cloudy & windy - sprinkled

I came home from work & went right to bed & had just got to bed when here come Ivard & got in bed & woke me up with his old cold feet.

Jerry was to work & Ray, Ray came home at noon & had bath & got ready & went to Stake House to catch the bus for Nyssa to Seminary graduation, banquet & dance. Jerry took him up. Ivard got up & went to R.R. & got a pass & picked Jerry up at noon. He came back to bed. I got so sick I got up & washed a batch of cloths & took Jerry up to Dairy queen to work at 2:30 & Dean up to church to go collect fast offerings, Dale was gone all morning on primary then went to Garners.

Lynda & Kids came few min.

Jerry came at 6:30 & went on date & we ate. Ivard & I went to bed. Gail brought Kids & left them with Dean.

Friday, April 27, 1962

stormy, rained on & off all day

I came home from work & took Dale to school. and just drank a pot of tea when Ivard came & we took Jackie & went to bed at 10: I didn't get to sleep until after 11:30, had to keep getting up to bathroom. Got up at 2: for half hr & went back to bed. Ivard & Sis got up.

Ray didn't come home from school went right to work, then up to church to Bread & Milk Supper then to a show & never got home until midnite.

Ivard went & got Jerry & I fixed fruit cocktail & we ate supper.

Jerry went up to church & Ivard & I went back to bed.

They guy went back to Glenns Ferry without Ivard, so we called Jerry & he came & took him up to catch 8:30 train. I went to work at 11:

sunny - breezy

I came home from work & took Dean to school then I washed a batch of cloths & hung out & washed the sock batch.

Made some tea & read paper.

At 1: Jackie & I went to bed. Got up at 3:50 & took Jackie to Primary & Ray to Dr.

Dean & I got supper & we ate after I got Jerry & Ray.

Jerry went up to Dairy queen to work & Ray took off and went over to Gails, run half my gas out.

I went to bed until time to go to work.

Wednesday, April 25, 1962

got letter from Lyle & the money Jerry & I lent him.

Sunny & cooler

I came home from work & went right to bed.

Ivard finished painting bath room.

Ray stayed home with his foot. Went to Dr. but didn't see him nurse told him to get crutches so he did. He went over to Gails tonite.

I got up at noon & took Jackie to dancing then came home & got Ivard & we went to bank for Jerry & went down to Kotters & she hemmed Jackies ruffles for dance costume. Came home & I went to bed but couldn't sleep. Dean got supper & I got up & ate & went back to bed.

Dale went to Party after school.

Jerry went to work at Dairy queen.

Ivard went back to Glenns Ferry mad. I woke up late to go to work but made it on time.

Tuesday, April 24, 1962

I came home fro work & went right to bed.

Ivard tended Sis, did dishes & painted 1st coat in bathroom.

He woke me up at 2:, He came to bed awhile then I got up & washed a batch of cloths & practiced Jackie, her dance then her & Ivard went up to college to ball game.

Dean & I got supper & I went & got Jerry & we ate without Ivard & Sis. they came at 6:45.

Jerry & Dean went up to hospital to see some ward members.

Ivard took Ray to work after school.

Cloudy - sunny - windy.

Ivard & Dale went to Cub Scout Pack meeting and Jackie then to ball game. I went to bed until time to go to work.

sent Louie & Billie Birthday card.

Dean got on Honor Roll "A"

Came home from work and Ivard was already home from Glenns Ferry. and in bed. I went right to bed and he got up and watered.

Kids were home today, Easter Vacation.

I woke up at noon & Jackie was here alone, out in corner swimming.

Ray went to Dr. at 11: then to work at noon.

Dean wet selling candy all day

Dale went to Garners

Gail & Lynda came awhile then I went back to bed. I woke up & Ivard was reading & Jackie was clear up the road on roller skates. I gave her a good licking.

When Jerry & Ray got home we ate & just got through when Gail & Lynda came again for awhile.

I woke up & read paper & got my sunday school lesson in bed. got up & washed Jackies hair & she had a bath & Gail after Jerry - Ray & Dean went to Priesthood, I took them.

I made potatoe salad & put a meat loaf in oven & had a shower & Dale, Jackie & I went to sunday school & my meeting before.

Jackie wore her new Easter outfit. It was warm & sunny.

Came home & got dinner on, stuffed eggs after we got home. We ate & at 4: Jackie & I went to bed. & Jerry went up to Dr Daines to go to Homedale to talk. Ray went to Kotters.

Dale had Paul Butler here all day.

The Kids went to church & Jackie & I went to bed.

Saturday, April 21, 1962

Jeff's birthday - went over awhile

windy but warm.

I got up and took Jerry to work and came back and took Ray to work.

Ivard came home again today, got a ride up. He went to bed until noon then watched ball game. I patched cloths all day. washed my bed & all the cloths that were dirty. I went after Jerry at noon & he got a few groc. for Easter.

At 1: He took Dean & Dale up & droped them off at show & he went on a date. He came home at 4: & painted in bathroom.

I finished all the iorning & got cloths in & we ate & when Kids got home we took Jerry to work at 6: & Ivard & I, Ray Dean, Dale & Jackie went over to take Jeff a birthday card. We gave him a dollar bill & 15 nickles taped together. We played cards & had icecream & cake when Gail came left late & Ivard about missed his ride. I watched T.V. & made baked beans & cooked eggs & potatoes for tomorrow.

I got up and took Jerry to work.

Kids didn't have to go to school today, Easter Vacation. Ray stayed in bed until noon.

Ivard came home & I went back to bed with him until 11:

I got up & went to store & came home & fixed lunch & Dale went over to Butlers to play. Ray went to work at 3:

I washed some cloths and iorned all afternoon.

Dean fixed supper & we ate when Jerry got home but Jerry & Ray didn't eat, they went ward teaching, never got home in time to take Ivard up to work. The guys came & got him. We watched T.V.

Jerry & Ray came about 10: they'd been up to Dairy queen.

Thursday, April 19, 1962

Lyle left for home. I had hair tint.

hot today - got next 3 nites off for Easter vacation.

I came home from work and washed some cloths and laid down for a couple of hrs & Lyle tended Jackie & they went yp & got his ticket on bus. They got me up at noon & at 1: Jackie & I took Lyle up to bus depot and he left for home. Jackie & I went to "Superior Western" and I had a hair cut a tint & set and Jackie had a hair cut. We were there from 1:15 to 4: I took Jackie to Primary and I came home until 5: then I went & got Jackie & Dale & we went up & had a cool while we waited for Jerry. There was an awful dust & wind storm. The wind blew hard all nite.

Jerry went up & worked at Dairy queen.

Dean had supper & we ate & I went to bed early. My nite off.

Wednesday, April 18, 1962

80 degrees today cloudy all afternoon.

I came home from work & went right to bed.

Ivard woke me up at 12:30 & I took Jackie to dance lesson then we went & put Kays money in bank & got groc.

Ray stayed home today & him & Lyle went over to Gails all afternoon.

At 4: Ivard took me up to clinic with Rays Ins. then we went over to Gails & sent Ray to work & we played cards & went & picked Jerry up at 6: Dean had supper ready & we ate & Jerry took Dean up to church & got them started selling candy then came back & Lyle took him up to Dairy queen to work.

Dale went to cub scouts, came & ate & went over to Garners.

Ivard went back to Glenns Ferry to work at 8:30 & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Tuesday, April 17, 1962

sunny & warm

I came home from work & went to bed. Gail, Lynda & Kids came & woke me up at 1: but I never got hp until after they left.

Lyle went to Homedale & Parma & when he got back him & Ivard & Sis hauled garbage & got cultivator at old place. When they got back at 1:30 we took car up & left for Jerry and Ivard - Lyle, Sis & I went to Adrian in pick-up & met Gail at Blanch's & went & loaded up the rest of his junk then went up to high school & watched Homedale beat Adrian - Gene pitched last 5 inning - He got 2 hts.

It was 8:30 when we got home & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Ivards nite off. He corrigated this morning.

Monday, April 16, 1962

I came home from work & fixed Lyle & Jackie breakfast & washed a batch of cloths then got Income tax ready.

Ivard got home from Glenns Ferry at 9:30 & Lyle took pick-up & went over to Metcalfs. Gail came & Jackie went home with him to spend day.

Ivard took me up to see Federal Income tax guy & he helped me finish my Income tax & we came home & copied it then went up & mailed it & went & did the State. Paid bills. stoped at dairy queen & had hamberger & Shake & came home & Ivard & I went to bed at 2: Ivard got up at 4: & took Ray to work and went over to Gails & got Sis & they picked Jerry up at 6: Dean fixed supper & we ate & Jerry & Dean went to Mutual - I got books up. Ivards nite off. Lyle came at 7:

Sunday, April 15, 1962

Lyle came, alone, on bus.

I came home from work & Kids were waiting for car to go up to bus & get Lyle.

Jerry, Ray, Dean & Dale went to Conference & I made some cocoa for me, Lyle & Jackie & in walked Ivard.

Ivard & I went to bed until noon & Lyle had a nap.

Ivard got up & him & Lyle watched ball game. Kids came & Ray went to store & they ate & Jerry, Ray & Dean went back to Conference. I got up a little while & went back to bed.

Ivard & I went back to bed & when Kids came Ray took all of Kids & Lyle over to Gails. Jerry called them at 7: to get home & he went on date & Ray went up & worked at dairy queen.

Ivard left for Glenns Ferry at 8:30 right after he left Gail - Lynda & Kids came. I went to bed at 9: until time to go to work. Gail left at 10:30.

Saturday, April 14, 1962

I went back to work tonite

real hot

Jerry & Ray went to work. I was still in bed & here come Ivard from Glenns Ferr, he wasn't comeing today. I read paper & got up & fixed Kids breakfast & Dale went selling candy & Dean painted in bath room.

I cut out Jackies satin leatard for dancing & got it all made. lined it. I was most of day.

Ivard slept until noon & got up & watched game.

Jerry came at 12:30 & went to work at Dairy Queen until 3: then painted. He had to go back to Dairy queen at 7:

Ivard took me up & picked up Genes pants & I got Kay 2 ties & 7 or socks to send. Dean fixed spagetti & we ate. washed 2 batches of cloths. Ivard & I took Jerry to dairy queen to work at 6:30, Ray & Dean to church to go to conference then went & got Gail at work & took him home, came home & Dale got ready & at 8: we took him up to Scoutarama & I took Ivard to go to Glenns Ferry.

I laid off sick

I got up and took Jerry to work & Kids went to school.

Jackie & I ate and Ivard came home & him & Gene ate. I took Gene up to Alexanders & got him some new dress shoes & socks & white shirt for tonite a pr. work shoes, pr. levies, pr cords, 2 school shirts, 2 pr shorts & a Knit seater shirt on a 40 day charge - $60. It will come off what I owe Gene. We came home & Gail was here & Gene took him home & took his car for tonite, Junior Prom at Adrian. Ivard & Jackie took me to Boise to Dr. Cudmore. I lost 7 lbs & 2 in around hips & bust. We had hamberger, fries & shake & came home & went out and saw Don Carrols new house then at 2:30 went over to take Gail to work but Gene was still there, so he took him & went to Adrian. We came home & I washed a batch of cloths & Ivard went up to ball game up the street, he got Jerry at 6: & at 7: we all went up to church to Elders beef supper - sure good. Took Ivard up to go to Glenns Ferry at 8:30 & watched a show. Jerry started to Paint bathroom.

Thursday, April 12, 1962

nice & hot. Jerry took Ray to Seminary.

I got up & took Jerry to work & Kids went to school.

Came home & ate & washed 6 batches of cloths and worked on my income tax. fixed Jerry's & Rays state.

I got ready & took Ray to work at 3:45 & Jackie to Primary then I went & bought Gene a white corsage for his Prom tomorrow nite & took Rays Income tax up to office, got a blank & recoppied Jerrys while I sat out in front of church waiting for Sis. Came home & got cloths in and went after Jerry & we ate then Jerry took Ray & Dean up to church to sell candy.

He came home & got me at 7:30 and I took him up to Dairy Queen to work & I filled up with gas & went & picked Gail up & we went to Adrian, clear up by Lee Stokers to Nancys, & got Gene got back to Dairy queen at 10: & got Jerry & Ray & came home - I laid off sick.

Wednesday, April 11, 1962

I came home from work sick & read paper & ate & went to bed until 12:30.

I got up and took Jackie to her dance lesson, on way home we stoped at Duffins & got a pattern for her dance costume. Came home & got Ivard & went up town & Ivard paid lites, phone & water while Jackie & I went & bought material for Jackies dance costume then we went & had a milk Shake & went to Kotters a few min. then we went after Jerry.

Dean fixed supper, spagetti.

Ray went to work after school.

Jerry went to work at Dairy Queen from 8: to 10: P.M.

Ivard left for Glenns Ferry at 8:30.

I laid off sick & Jackie & I went to bed at 9:

Sent letter to Mother.

Colder - Sunny & windy - frost last nite.

I came home from work & read paper & ate & went to bed.

Ivard & Jackie went up town & got tractor seat. Jerry was home for lunch.

I woke up at 3: & made a beef stew for supper.

Ivard arranged for Sunvita meeting at Gails tonite. When he got off the phone he took Ray to work & went up the street to ball game until time to go get Jerry.

We ate & Jerry & Dean went to Sell candy. Ray came home just before Ivard left for his Sunvita meeting at Gails so he ate & rode up to church with Ivard, to sell candy. I wrote Mother & went to bed at 7:30 until time to go to work.

Monday, April 9, 1962

Cloudy - rained - hailed.

I came home from work & Ivard was home from Glenns Ferry & in bed. I took Jackie & we went right to bed. her & Ivard got up in a couple of hrs.

Ivard woke me up at 1: & said him & Sis were going to Adrian with Gail he was here, & Kids. brought Ivard a fishing pole for his birthday.

I got up & washed a batch of cloths & ate & read paper. Went back to bed at 2:45, & Ray woke me up at 6: to go get Jerry & take him to church to play practice, he'd just came from work.

I got Jerry & we ate & him & Dean went to Mutual. I read paper & went back to bed at 7: Jackie & Ivard got home about 7:30 & ate & came to bed. I went to work at 11:

Cloudy & rained

No Sunday school. I laid in bed late & read Paper.

Dean & Mike went & did their chores & Jerry cooked them breakfast.

I spent all day working on Income tax & books.

Kids & I listened & watched General Conference & Kids played games.

Jerry went & got us each a hamberg & a gal. of root beer & icecream & we had root beer floats for supper, hamberger, bread & gravy peas & carrots, cold roast & cottage cheese.

Dale, Dean & Mike went to do chores & Ray did dishes & They went to church.

I had a bath and Jackie & I went to bed.  I went to work at 11:

Saturday, April 7, 1962

Ivard got pr. pants, pr overalls, pr socks, 5 shirts $1. & can candy & fishing pole from Gail.

Dean & Mike went & did chores then at 8:30 went to sell candy bars, after they ate.

Jerry went to work & Ray.

I iorned half day, got it all done.

Ivard was 47 today, he wasn't comeing home today but he walked in about 9:15, got a ride up. He went to bed until noon.

When Jerry came home Jackie & I went up & got Ivard a birthday cake & some presents & some pants for Ray. Dale went to Hobby show & Ivard & Jackie at Dale's school.

We ate at 5: and Dean & Mike went & did chores then at 6:50 Ivard & I took Jerry to Dairy Queen to work & Ray, Mike & Dean to Stake House to general conference. I took Ivard up to go back to Glenns Ferry at 8:40 & Dean & Mike got home when I did. Jerry came at 10:15. We watched T.V. Ray went to show & never came until 1: My nite off.

Got letter from Lyle

I came home from work & Ivard came from Glenns Ferry right after, got a ride up. We ate & read paper & took Jackie & went to bed. Ivard & Jackie got up in couple of hrs. I got up at 1: & hung out some cloths I'd washed.

At 2: Ivard & I took Jackie over to Gails after we went to bank and left her to play. We played cards with Gail & Lynda & Gail left for work & at 3:40 Ivard & I went to Caldwell & put my dimes in bank then we went to Wilder to base ball game. Adrian won 18 to 5 & Gene pitched whole game & did real good. He couldn't come home he had a date. We got Jackie & came home & ate and Ivard walked up to go back to Glenns Ferry. Jerry had car on a date.

Thursday, April 5, 1962

I came home from work & went to bed & read my new relief society mag. while Jackie watched her shows then we went to bed for 2 hrs.

Got up & washed clothes, & cleaned stove - cupboards ect & did dishes everything in house was dirty. I was still doing hem when Dean & Mike came home from school & they helped me. I stoped in middle & took Sis to Primary.

Mike Perry is going to stay with us for a few days while his folks are in Salt Lake to Conference. I went to store & got $20. of groc & came home & mixed up hot cake dough & cocoa for Kids & they ate & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Mike & Dean went & did their chores.

Wednesday, April 4, 1962

I came home from work & Ivard & Sis were up town. I washed some cloths and went to bed at 9:45 but didn't go to sleep because Ivard was corrigateing his new pasture.

I got up at 12:15 & took Jackie to her dance lesson. Came home at 2:30 & laid down awhile but couldn't get to sleep. I fixed supper & we ate & when Ivard left for Glenns Ferry at 8: in Pick-up I went to ed until time to go to work - sure tired.

Jerry went to M. Men & Gleaner meeting.

Ray worked after school.

I came home from work & went right to bed. Ivard was out plowing for new pasture.

Ivard got me up at 1:15 & I had a shower & got ready & went & Picked Venice up & we went to Alsips to Elna's husband Bill funeral. I was home by 3: & Ivard & Jackie had gone up to buy seed. I made some tea & cooked me hamberger & read paper.

Ivard came & we took Ray to work then came home & left Sis & I rode up to yard office with him.

I wrote to Kay & mailed it when we went after Jerry - We droped Dean off at church to sell candy.

We ate & Jerry went to Ward Faculty & Ivard & I went to bed. I went to work at 11:

Monday, April 2, 1962

Nice day.

I came home from work & Ivard was already home from Glenns Ferry & in bed. I ate & washed a batch of cloths & hung out & I went to bed at 10: & Ivard got up & tended Jackie. changed wheels on tractor & got ready to plow.

I got up at 1:30 & Ivard & Jackie took me up to Bank to streighten out Kays account, his check bounced. He wrote 2. Paid Ins. on car & pick-up. We went & paid fuel oil bill, & got a new hose, now I am busted, flat.

Ivard went & got Jerry & we ate & Jerry - Ray & Dean went to Mutual. I went to bed & Ivard too, he was so tired, His nite off.

Sunny nice day.

I read paper in bed & got my Sunday School lesson. Got up & washed my hair & Dean & Jackies. Made meat patties & put in oven.

Jerry - Ray & Dean went to priesthood & Ray came & got me, Jackie & Dale & I went to prayer meeting, Sunday School and Fast meeting. I bore my Testimony. It was : when we got home.

We ate & Ray did dishes then him & Jerry went visiting & I got my books up.

Dean, Dale & Jackie played outside.
