Kays baby funeral.

I left Utah for home. Ivard stayed

Jackie was 10

warm - Sunny - nice day

We got up & I got breakfast & Ivard did dishes & we had bath & got ready & at 10:30 we went over to Mortuary & saw baby Andrew & had prayer then we went to Kays ward & had real nice funeral, at 11: not too long then went to Cemetary, it was a beautiful day, we didn't even wear coat Mother, Ken & Berniece & Laurie came over & after the Cemetary we all went to Petersons & had lunch & visited Clauida went too but has to stay at Petersons & go to bed few days. We went over to Kays after Mother left & visited & at 5:30 Ivard, Kay Ray & I went down to Lee's Cafe & I bought their supper then Kay & Ivard took Ray & I to catch train at 7:30 & we came home. Ivard stayed for week to visit. We went to Cemetary again & got flowers & took Pictures

We just got back to Petersons after funeral, when Gail - Lynda, Billy, Gene & Cheryl came. left again at 5: They left kids with Dale & Jackie I was so mad at them. Gene was going on home from Pocotello.

Gene & Dale & Jackie went to Gails

Nice day We got to Salt Lake at 6:30 A.M & Kay was there to meet us. We went out to his place & Kay fixed breakfast & we tended Ike & he went to hospital at 11: & got Claudia but she has to stay at her mothers for week.

I cooked dinner & we ate & Ray did dishes & we went over to Petersons & saw Claudia & visited then at 5: we went to Mortuary & dressed the baby, only 12 in. long but perfectly formed - hair, finger nails, eyebrows looked like little old man had real cute blue velvet, tiny casket. went back to Kays & he went over with Claudia & we watched T.V. & Ruth & Ray came & visited for awhile,

Gene took Dale & Jackie to Pocotello.

Ray - Ivard & I left for Utah

Jackie had birthday Party

Lyle called, couldnt come

sunny, breezy day.

I came home from work & went to bed until noon. Jerry was on milk route & Ray went to work 10: to 6: Dean met me at door when I came from work & I took him up to school to decorate for home comeing all day. Ivard, Dale & Jackie went out where Gene works & picked us up 3 sacks of Potatoes. Jerry came home & did his afternoon Paper route. Dale cleaned up house & I went up town & picked up Jackies birthday cake & got groc. & when Ivard & I got back Kids were already here for Jackies birthday Party, 10 girls, Dale took charge of games & all. I got supper on & took Kids home & took Dean to Barber & waited at D.Q for him & Ray we came home & ate & we took Jackie over to stay at Genes while Ivard - Ray & I went to Salt Lake & Dean took us to train at 8: & he went to Home comeing dance.

Claudia had baby & it only lived 2 1/2 h

Lyle called us

I came home from work & went to bed. I got up about 1:30 when Ray got home from D.Q.

Kay called this afternoon to tell us Claudia had her baby - early, only about 6 mo. along. It lived 2 1/2 hrs & Kay named & blessed it before it died. We called Lyle then when he got home tonite he called us & said maybe they'd be down to go to funeral.

Ivard went on Paper route with Jerry so he could do it tomorrow but he got sick.

I got supper & we ate & I went to bed until time to go to work. Ivard & I - Jerry & Dale went to Ward reunion. Dean went to Home comeing game - Jackie went to school carnival.

Got letter from Mother & Louie

Jackie got dress for birthday from Mother

Ivard had blood test

nice day

I came home from work & read paper & ate & went to bed. I got up at 1:30 & about 3:30 Ivard & I went up town & paid bills paid off P.F.C. $28. less a month now, got some things for Jackies birthday 2 undershirts & slip & got a sweater, skirt & blouse for her Xmas then I went to I.D & got me & Jackie a pr of shoes got home just before Jackie came from Primary & their Ward reunion

Got supper & we ate.

I went to bed until time to go to work.

cloudy - sunny

I came home from work & went right to bed, got up at 2: & washed a batch of cloths & did some patching & cooked supper - baked squash, spaghetti & cauliflower.

Ray worked 11:30 to 1:30 & watched T.V. then after we ate he went to work 5: till close.

Jerry went on Paper route at 3: Ivard went & got Dean from school & after we ate Ivard & Dean went & got Jerrys truck & loaded it for him.

Ivard went to bed about 6:

Jerry came home & ate & him & Dean went Home teaching.

70 º sunny & nice

I came home from work & went right to bed. I got up at 2: & worked on my books & painted my name on a quilt block for Bessie Thomas when she retires in Dec. Jerry left for paper route at 3: I made out payments to mail.

Ray went to work at 5: till close. Ivard went & got Dean at school then took him out to Herrns to Piano l then went with Ray when he went to work & got car at Lenord Rose's & went & got Dean & we ate then Jerry & Dean went to Mutual. I went to bed until time for work. Dale went to Hoggs after school & went to Mutual with them.

Monday, October 24, 1966

Sent letter to Lyle - Gail - Kay

sunny & warm. I got up & washed 3 batches of cloths & hung out & did all my iorning, 51 pieces.

Rays day off but he worked lunch hr, then came home & watched T.V.

Jerry came home at 2: from work & went on paper route & Ivard & I went up town & Paid bills & bought 3 new tires, 2 snow tires we put De Soto. We got a new tire for Dodge for 1/2 price for one Ivard wrecked when wheel came off. Came home & got cloths in & went & got Dean at school at 5.

Fixed supper & Dean made a gingerbread. We ate at 6:45 & Dean did dishes & him & Jerry went home teaching & Ray went to M-Men Gleaner haloween Party. I went to bed until time to go to work.

Sunday, October 23, 1966

cloudy & cool.

Jerry got up & went on Paper route & came home & Him, Ivard, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & S.S. Cheryl came & got Jackie for S.S then here & Gene brought Ivard & Jackie home after & spent the day & had dinner.

Ray went to work at 10: & came home at noon, sick, & went to bed, stomach flu.

Jerry had nap & Ivard & Gene watched T.V. & Cheryl. Dean went to Stake  meeting. I wrote letters until noon & got dinner & after we ate I finished my writeing wrote to Lyle, Gail & Kay.

I had a bath & We went to 6th ward at 5: with Gene, Ivard & I, Gene had to Speak. Went to D.Q & had sundee then went to our church. My nite off. every one went to bed & I watched T.V. until 1: AM

Saturday, October 22, 1966

real windy & cloudy most of day & cool. I got up & made hot cakes at 8:45 & we ate & I changed all the beds & washed everything up & hung  out side, got most of it dry. Cheryl came over at noon & got her mail & Dale went with her rest of day.

Ray worked from 9:30 to 8: & went messing around until 2: AM. Dean woke up too late to take scholarship test did up work. Ivard watched T.V. & we played 1 game of Scrabble When Jerry came from work he & I & Ivard went up town & bought 5 garbage cans to store food in & got 8 cases of food with money the guys at R.R. gave us. at 6: Jerry, Dean, Me - Ivard, & Jackie went to Boise to Chuck Wagon & ate were home & in bed at 9:30 when Gene brought Dale

no school today

cloudy - windy - rainy - cold

I came home from work & went to bed until noon.

Jerry & Dean went on Milk route.

We played Scrabble awhile then Ivard & I & Jackie & Dean went up town & got some Thank you cards for Ivard & Paid his R.R Ins & Dean got birthday card & we went to Dairy Q. & bought 500 lbs of sugar

Ray went to work 5: till close

When we got home Jerry had gone collecting for Era.

We had fire in fire place & watched T.V. Ivard went to bed at 10:30 & I watched late show.

Dean went to Foot ball game & to a girls birthday Party after My nite off went over to Genes a few min.

Ray got back from Utah

No school today

stormy - cold

I came home from work & went to bed. Dean cleaned up house & when Jerry got home from Milk route him & Dean went to Boise all afternoon Dale went on Milk route with Jerry then went over to Hoggs all afternoon & stayed all nite. Jackie went to Primary

Jerry & Dean got home at dark then went back to Boise with Donna to meet Plane & get her brother & they came back here & played Piano & sang & Gene & Cheryl came. I made an ice box desert for tomorrow & fixed Ivard & Jackie some soup & went to bed until time to go to work. Ray got home on 4: train & had to walk home cause Ivard was up town bumming. Mr. Johnson came & got Ray at 6:to work.

Sunny & nice. I came home from work & went right to bed & kids woke me up at 11: so I got up & went up town with Ray & Jerry then we took Ray to work & went & pd. Alexanders off & got $42. groc. got Ray at 4:30 & came home & I laid & read paper. Jerry cooked supper & we ate when Ivard got home with Dean. Dale never did come after school. We Ray went to work at 5: till 8: & went to Utah to Dr.

Jerry & Dean did dishes & went to Mutual. Ivard cleaned up for his World book meeting. I went to bed at 5:30 Ray worked 5: to 8: & went to Utah to Dr. on train.

I came home from work & tore jackies bed up & washed 4 batches of cloths & hung out then Ivard & I & Ray went to bank & Paid place & to my bank & Rays bank & Ray paid bills then we droped him off at D.Q at 11:30 & came home & I hung cloths out & gor some in & went to bed at 1:

Ivard went & maid Ins. letter & went to World Book Meeting at 2: & never got home until 5:40 & we ate. Kids woke me up so I got cloths in & went back to bed & took Sis with me. she is sick, Vomited.

Ivard & Jackie got home from Pocotello

I came home from work & Jerry was home from paper route & him, Dean & Dale went to Priest hood & S.S. Ray went to Priesthood and went to work 10:30 to 5: I went to bed & woke up at 3: & got up & Jerry & Dean had gone to Stake meeting

Cheryl came & used phone.

I crocheted & made jello and cooked cauliflower & KIds came home at 4:45 & had eaten so Dale & I ate then at 5: Ivard called & Jerry & Dean went to depot & got them & I fed them.

Kids went to church and I went to bed until time to go to work. Ivard & Jackie watched T.V.

Saturday, October 15, 1966

21 º low, cloudy - sunny - windy - Cool.

I came home from work & cleared up last nites table & read paper & went to bed. Ray left for work at 9:45.

I woke up at 3:30 & still no one home. Dale went on milk route with Jerry then they came home & went again.

Dean had to be in Caldwell at 8: this morning for A.C.T. tests

I washed a batch of cloths.

Dean went on paper route with Jerry, the got home at 5:45.

Jerry bought stuff for hambergers & I cooked them & we ate when Ray got home

Dean had a date, Spitz formal. Jerry & Dale & I went to bed & Ray watched T.V.

Dean got home at 1: A.M.

I went to work at 11: Dale still hadn't done dishes

Ivard & Jackie went to Pocotello for week end. I called Lynda

Got down to 22 last nite

I went back to work after week off

I got up & read paper. Ivard had to be to Dr. at 10:45 so he took Ray to work early & had car greesed Dodge & oil change & they came home at 1:30. On Ins paper where it said when will he go back to work Dr. put never. He told him to get another 90 day leave of absence & he'd see. I made a cake with a pineapple coconut filling & 7 min. iceing & cooked supper. We ate about 6:00 when Jerry finally got home from work & he brought Dean. I crocheted. Ray had to go to work at 4: till close.

Jerry took Ivard & Jackie up to catch 8: train to go to Gails. I went to bed & it was 5 to 11: when Ray called & got me up to go to work. I drove

First Snow, in Mountains

54 º - Real windy & cold, snow flurries this morning. Sunny & pretty good this afternoon. Jerry went on milk route & Ray went to work.

Ivard & I went to Ontario Oregon to G. & B. to see about our King size mattress, guaranteed 10 yrs & its been wrecked yearly ever since we had it. We have to write Co. so I did. We stoped in Nyssa to Rays Food Fair & got groc. Came home & got supper.

Ivard & I played Scrabble while we waited for Kids. Went & got Jerry at 5:30 & lawn mower & Dean at school & we ate. Ray went 5: close

I didn't go to work again. so blustery & cold, wind storm, & I domt feel so hot yet. g

Ivard & Ray went to Glenns F & got dodge

Sent Mother leter

58 º sunny - cloudy - rained during nite & early this morning, dust storm tonite.

Jerry went on milk route & got home at 11:30 & took Ivard & Ray up to catch the noon train & they went to Glenns Ferry & brought the Dodge home after all summer. Rays day off.

I washed 4 batches of cloths & hung out & iorned 25 pieces & got batch of Socks put away. washed 2 batches of rugs this evening.

Jerry got supper. Ivard & Ray came about 5:

Kids went up town then we ate & they went to take a girl a birthday present. Dean & Dale went to Piano L. Ivard & Jackie did dishes.

Jerry went to work & Kids went to school. Jerry got home at 9:30 & Ray took me to relief Society, work day, had real nice dinner. Ray came & got me at 1:30 when he got off work. We watched early movie & I crocheted. I got supper & we ate when Kids came from school & Jerry took Ray up to work 5 to close

Jackie did dishes & I got books up

Jerry, Dean & Dale left for Mutual at 6:45

We watched T.V. & went to bed at 11:

Monday, October 10, 1966

Sunny 71 º . I never got up until 9:45. didn't get much sleep in nite. I still feel awful. I think its gall bladder attack.

I washed 2 batches of cloths & hung out & Ivard did dishes & washed bottles & I bottled 12 pts mustard pickle. took Ray to work at 4:30, early, so I could get Dean from school. We went to store. Watched early movie & went & got Jerry from Dairy & took him to Ross's to get car & do paper route.

At 6:30 Father & I went over to Gene & Cheryl's to supper, mexican food it was real good. Came home at 10: & went to bed, I'm still sick, after show.

froze a little last nite

Sunny & nice today. Jerry got up early & went on paper route & came home & him Ray, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & S.S. Cheryl came & took Jackie to S.S Ivard had to stay home & watch world series. I got a batch of mustard pickle into brine - washed a batch of cloths & put 8 pcg's of cauliflower in freezer & cooked dinner, stuffed peppers & tomatoe gravy, baked squash & cauliflower with cheese sauce. Gene & cheryl came & ate & spent afternoon. I iorned few things & patched a couple. Dean & father did dishes.

I went to bed & Kids went to church. Ray went to work 5: to close Ivard & Jackie watched T.V. I got awfully sick & Ivard called in & laid me off.

Dale did substute paper route

breezy, cloudy, sunny

I got up & fixed a nice breakfast so we could all eat together for once & Ray left for work with out eating, went half hr. early with Edith. Jerry & Dean were supposed to come & take him to work & they didn't dome until we were all through & everything cold. I washed 2 batches of cloths & hung out & when Jerry got home from milk route he helped me grind & I made 13 pts of Indian relish & 22 little pots of pepper in freezer. Jerry went to store for me then went on milk paper route. Dean scrubbed. Dale went bumming all day & came home & took fit & locked himself in his room. Dean went up town & got music book & me a pr of Jeans. We ate rice pudding when Dean got home with Jerry & Ray. Jerry & Dean went to show. I went to bed at 8: mad.

I came home from work & went to bed & Ivard got me up at 12:30 and I got ready & Ivard took me up to Superior Western & I had my hair cut & tint. Ivard went & got Ray from work & took him home then came & got me & we got groc. & came home & I went back to get Jerry but he'd walked down to Lenord & got car & went on paper route I stoped at school & got Jackie & we came home & took Ray to work at 4:30 & I took Jackie to S.W & she had her hair cut & we went shopping. Came home at 6:30 & Dean had supper ready. Dale went to Hoggs after school & Jerry went & got him at 9: My nite off went to bed at 8:

Ray got home from Utah

I came home from work & Ray was home in bed. I read paper & went to bed. Jerry came home & took Ray to work for lunch hr & when they came home at 11:30 I got up. Ray worked on genelogy & I washed cloths made a desert for tomorrow & cooked supper & we ate when Jackie got home from Primary. Ray went to work at 5: to close. I took car up to him & my ride picked me up there. after supper I went to bed until time to go to work.

Ivard went to Dr. at hospital

Dean got up early & took Jerry to work & brought car home & Ivard went to hospital to Therapy meeting I stoped off on way form work & got car & came home & we got ready & went back to hospital to the meeting of Doctors & nurses discussing Ivards case. I ask waht his trouble was & they said he had hardening of Arteries Ivard said that first he knew it too. Thats what caused clot & stroke. Got groc & came home at noon & had snack & I went to bed rest of day. Ivard went awhile.

Ray went to Salt Lake

I came home & went to bed & at 9:35 Jerry came with car but didn't get me up for Relief S.

I got up at 2:30 & washed a batch of cloths & Jerry hung them out while I run tomatoes through & Ray ground peppers & onions & I made spagetti sauce 11, qts. got supper & we ate before Ray went to work at 5:, Jerry took him then at 7:30 went & took him to catch train for S.L.

Dean didn't come came home from school but went to Mutual Jerry & Dale & Dean went at 6:30 Ivard did dishes & washed bottles.

I went to bed at 8: until time to go to work.

Kids were home from Mutual & in bed when I left.

Monday, October 3, 1966

I came home from work & went to bed & got up at 2: & put a Kettle of Tomatoes on to cook for juice & washed a batch of cloths & hung out & at 3:30 Ray & I went up to Rail Road & mailed fathers Order in for a world book, cash order. then I paid P.FC & got me some  new socks for work & got $50. worth of groc., 6 cases of stuff dropped Ray off to work at D.Q 5: to close & went to school & got Dean & went got some more groc. came home & ate & Ivard had an appointment at Benders for World book I went to bed at 7:45.

I came home from work & went to bed until 11:30 & got up & cooked dinner & listened to conference.

Ray worked 10: to 5:

no Sunday School or Priesthood Jerry - Dean & Dale went to Fast meeting. We ate at 2:30

Sunny & nice 74 º

I came home from work & changed all the beds & got everything washed up, 6 batches. Dean & Jerry stoped in in milk truc at 9:30 & I had breakfast ready, hot cakes, & they ate & Jerry took Ray to work at D.Q. 10: to 6: & finished his route. Dean stayed home & did work & listened to Conference Jerry came back & listened after he took Ray. Jackie scrubbed & cleaned both bath rooms, cleaned her room & did Dales last nite & morning dishes for enough money to go roller skateing at 1: with Dorene T. Dale cleaned his room & went collecting went to Garners & never got home until 10: I went to bed at 3: until time for work. Jerry - Ray & Dean went to conference & Cheryl stayed here while Gene went.
