I came home from work & Ivard had left for McCall early this morning for 2 days I went right to bed & got up when Jerry came from work at D. q 11:45 till 2: & he drove me up town & we Paid place & the Bills then got groc. & came home.

I went to bed & Dean, Dale & Jackie went up to D. q. & Jerry bought them their supper then they went out to Hurrens to their Piano lessons.

Sunny & nice

I came home from work froze & went right to bed. Ivard was asleep, got home at 3:30 A.M had to leave again at 10:15 to Emmett I woke up at 1:30 & made me some tea & read paper & got books up & went back to bed. Jerry worked at D.q. 11:45 until 2: then came home & got supper, smelled so good I could hardly stand it. We ate at 4: when Kids, came, Dale was little late, They gave me a set of green striped sheets & cases, 4 dish rags, calorie counter book, can powder. Jerry had me a big boquet of Pink Carnations delivered.

Dean took Sis to dancing & went to library while he waited.

Jerry cleaned up & went to work at D.q 6: to close. Kids went to Mutual.

I just got to bed when floral delivered by big boquet of red carnations from Edith Loosh & got card from Mrs Blades & one fron Nancy Jerry walked to work at 6: & Dale went up with him.

I came home from work, froze to death & went right to bed Jerry woke me at 10:30 to see where Ivard was, up getting oil hose fixed on Desoto, & I was starved so ate apple & some turkey & went right to bed, & never woke up until 4:

Ivard got put on brakeman extra board & went to work at noon.

Jerry went to work at D.q. 11:45 to 2: then iorned him some shirts & me one Jerry called up Simplots today & quit. Dr said he had to. He fixed supper & were just eating at 5: when Lyle came & said goodbe, moving to Baker Van loaded their stuff today & will take it tomorrow.

Dale went & cleaned D.q. yard & sold cards

Jerry went to work at D.q. 6: to close Dean went up to Kottor's at 7: to work on school float. Dale got me up at 10:30 to go to work.

Sunny & warm

I came home from work & went right to bed & read paper & went to sleep at 9:30. woke up at 12: & fixed dinner. Ivard_ Jerry_Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & sunday school & Ivard came & got Jackie. We ate & Kids did dishes & we went out to Lyles for Stanleys birthday Party at 2: & was I ever suprised, it was for me too. Had fancy cake with candles on for each of us & icecream. I couldn't eat any. I got a new dress & house coat from Lyle & Kids & fancny rack of 3 Kinds of cologne from Gail. Dean took some clored Pictures. We came home at 4:45 & I went to bed & Dean took Ivard back out to Lyles when he took Jerry to work at 5: there was just him, Jackie & Debbie. They got ready for church & went out & got Ivard at 7: & he took Dean, Dale, Jackie & Debbie to church. Then they took Debbie home. after. I didn't ever sleep much. went to work at 11:.  Ivards day off.

Came home from work & visited with Ray awhile then at 10:30 I went to bed & Ray & Jerry went with Pat & Wilma all day. They took Jackie up to Gails for day & Dale went with Gail on route today.

Dean went to library at 10: until noon then took Dairy q. truck out for last time of Season, Stanley went with him. Ivards day off.

Ivard was doing Peaches when I got home.  He made 2 batches jam all by himself & had it bottled when I got up, 18 qts he also had floor moped & dishes done. I Put Turkey in oven when I came home. got up at 2:30 & washed batch of cloths & wrote Gene a months news. We ate at 6: when Stanley & Dean stoped with D.q T. then they took it up & Dean had to work till 10: for Jerry. We went & mailed Genes letter & went to Gails to get Kids but they weren't home. We took Stanley home & came home & Daale & Jackie were here.  I went to bed & Jerry & Ray woke me up at 10:30 to go to work & gave me black leather gloves & white sweater for Birthday. I went to work

I lost 17 lbs on my 400 calorie diet first week Jerry got letter from Gene, move to Lartoka

Stanleys birthday

We stoped on way home from work & got another bu & ½ of peaches & came home & Ivard was all ready & we did a bu. got 24 qts sliced & 7 qts jam he did after I went to bed. Jerry went right to bed & went & worked at D. q 11:30 to 2:15 & went back to bed.

Ivard went to work at 3: I went to bed at 1: & got up at 2:45 & had bath & bottled jam & went to Dr. at 4: I'd lost 17 lbs, he thought that was wonderful Dean fixed supper & got Jerry up at 5: & they ate & he took Jerry to work at D.q. at 6: I aclled & laid him off at Simplots he's half sick.

Dale didn't come home from school until 6:30 when I sent Dean after him then at 7: Dean went & sold concessions at game. I went to bed at 6: until time to go to work, stoped at D.q & reads Jerrys letter from Gene.

Ray came about 3: A.M. with Wilma Adkins, for tomorrow.

Jerry & I stoped on way home from work & bought ½ bu. peaches & ½ bu necterines. Came home & IVard had bottles all ready & was sealing peaches. We went right to town on them did bu from yesterday & the stuff I bought today. Jerry went right to bed & got up at 11:30 & went to work at D. q. we got 55 qts. Ivard went to work at 3: I went to bed at 4: & slept until 6: then didn't get much after worring about Kids. Dean took Sis to Primary & waited for her then had to take Lyles Kids home & take Barbra to store then he went up to D.q. & got their supper & at 7: Gail came & took him to tend Kids & Jackie went too. Stanley came & they went & cleaned D.q yard & Dale went home with him & stayed all nite. I picked Jerry up at D.q at 11:10 & we went to work.

Jerry got home from Salt Lake on train 6:30 A.M., did business & worked at D.q. lunch hr. went to store & got stuff for supper & fixed it. & they ate when Kids came at 4: then Dean took D.q truck out until 6: then he took Dale & Jackie & went to Piano lesson then out to Lyles & Barbra did Jackies hair

Ivard went to work at 3: & I went to bed at 4: until time to go to work, I was dead. Ivard got home in time to get me up. I went & got Jerry at D.q. & we went to work he worked from 5: till 11:15

sunny & windy washed 5 batches of cloths & got them all dry.

I came home from work & changed all the beds & washed them & Ivard helped me make them & cleaned the floors & did dishes then he went to bank for Jerry & out & got some paint & changed for Barbra.

I made some tea & took a pill to get rid of water & I was getting up every little while after I went to bed at 11:30.

Ivard went to work at 3: I got up at 3:30 & washed last batch & hung out

Dean & Jackie took D.q. truck out. I went back to bed at 4:30 until time to go to work Dale went out & tended Kids for Lyle.

Ivard got home in time to get me up to go to work.

I came home from work & went right to bed & read paper & at 9: I went to sleep & slept most of time until 3:30 when Lyles Kids woke me up so noisy. Ivard, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & sunday school & Ivard came home & got Sis Jerry had to open D. q at 10: till 5:30 when I went & got him.

Lyle brought Dale home just in time for church, didn't get home from Baker until late last nite. Dale went & cleaned D.q yard

I took Ivard up to D.q at 3:45 & he got Dodge & went to work.

I got books up & iorned a few shirts & went to bed & Jerry Dean, Dale & Jackie went to church. I droped Jerry off at bus station at 11: to go to Utah to Dr & see about school.

I changed cloths & Ivard, Jackie & I went out & got Barbra & stoped & got gas & went to Baker, got there at 11: & met Lyle at Wards & he got off & we went looking at houses for rent he'd found then he took us to lunch and at 2: we left for home. Barbra stayed to come home with Lyle tonite. Dale is tending big kids, Cliffords wife has 2 little ones. We got home at 3:45 & Dean had car up to D.q., he was out on Truck & had Keys so I took Ivard to work. I came home & went to bed at 4:30 until time to work. Dean came home at 6: & took Jerry to work & tended Sis. He went to foot ball jamboree & she went to bed. Me & Jerry went to work

I woke up at 1: & Ivard & I went up & had lunch at D.q then we went out & got Barbra & Cliffords wife & went to Caldwell & put money in bank for Dale & my dimes & pd on laway then they brought me home & Ivard took Barbra to store & home & I had bath & at 3:45 Ivard came & took me to Dr, went in with me, Dr. Hay. He said I definatly had sugar dibeties but not too bad yet. We will controll it with diet first. Put me on 400 diet. Dale stayed all nite at Lyles to tend Kids tomorrow. We came home from work & went right to bed, Ivard was still in bed He got mad & went up & put his application in to go to Glenns Ferry on brakeman extra board. Jerry went to work at D.q 11:45. He came home at 2:30, after he went to bank, & went to bed. Ivard came back to bed at non & woke me up. We got up & ate & I made some tea & Ivard went & got hair cut & another part to fix front door. I laid down again at 3:45. Ivard went back to R.R & withdrew his application.

Ivard went & got Kids from Primary, Dale went to tend Randy, & took Barbra & Kids home.

I got up at 6:45 & had a bath & got ready & at 7:45 I was up to Mercy hospital for glucose tests. they took 7 blood & urin tests, first three every half hr then one ever hr. I got home at 1:20 & ate & laid down until 4: then I went to see Dr. Borron & he told me I had dibeties and he wanted me to change to Dr. Hoage Hayas he knew more about it, can't see him till Frid

Jerry went to work at D.q. at noon then went up town & worked for tree cutting Service. Came home & ate at 5:30 & went to work at D.q 6: till 11: when I picked him up to go to work at Simplots.

I stayed in bed until about 10: Ivard, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & sunday school, Ivard came home & got Sis. Jerry came home from Simplots & went right to bed all day, got up for dinner, he ahd to work D. q. 5: to close. had nite off at Simplots. I made me a pot of tea & cut one of my new pannels up & made new curtain on front door & little end window & washed woodwork & glass & got them up. I got dinner & we at at 1:30. Ivard went breakeing at 2:30 to 2: AM. I don't feel good I took Kids to church & made me another pot of tea & waited up for them & at 10: Jerry called & said to come & get them at D. q. they'd walked to there, Dean was at fireside. I was so mad at them.

Debbie is 8 today

warm & breezy & nice. We came home from work & Ivard was home & in bed. Jerry went right to bed he has to work on clean up tonite but I have 2 nite off. I washed socks & another batch & went to bed at 9:40 after putting roast on for Ivard to tend. He watched ball game & let it burn. Dean scrubbed & cleaned house. I got up at 11:45 finished getting dinner & we ate & Jerry went back to bed & Ivard took Sis out for Barbra to do her hair & waited for her & Dean, Dale & Stanley took D.q. truck out all afternoon. Lyle brought Dale & Stanley on way to work this AM. Ivard & I went & looked at houses for sale & the open house then we got Kids at 6: & went up to Debbies birthday. after we went saw open house again with Kids & Gail. came home & went to bed at 9:30. Jerrywent to Simplots when he got off work at D. q.

We came home from work & went right to bed. Jerry got up & went to work at D.q. 11:45 until 2:. I woke up at 1:30 & was supposed to be to Dr. at 2:, I told Ivard to wake me but he never. I didn't even get a bath. Dr. Borron told me my blood sugar was high & they wanted me to go to hospital Monday morning for glucose test. I came home & we went up town & bought 15. worth of groc. & went to Wards & picked up our new table we ordered & curtains & came home & Ivard put it together & I fixed supper. Lyle picked Dale up on his way home from work to Tend Kids & he stayed all nite. Dean went out with D.q. truck we ate & Jerry went up to D. q. & met Ins guys about his policy. 53° when we came home from work sunny & nice all day. 47° in Caldwell. Kids were to school & Ivard was in bed. Jerry & I went right to bed. Ivard got JErry up at 11:30 to go work at D.q. till 2: Ivard came back to bed & just got undressed when Dean called, he'd lost his socks in P.E so Ivard took him a pr. up. I woke up & was so sick. Ivard came back & came to bed but got mad & got up & went up town at 1:30 & never came home until 5:30 6:00 Dean took D.q. truck out.

I went back to sleep & never woke up until 4: when Dale called to say he was at Primary tending Randy. Dean stoped a min. on his way with D.q. truck at 4: I got up & read paper. I went & got Kids from Primary & took Barbra home & droped Dale off to clean D.q. yard then we went up to store & got donuts. I went to bed until time to go to work. Jerry worked D.q. 6: to 10:30 & we went to work. Ivard didn't work today.

49° when we came from work & when we went last nite. sunny & nice today. Jerry went right to bed & I changed & went up & had blood sugar test & went to bed at 9: woke up at 10:30 & got Jerry up to go work at D.q. 10:45 until 1:45 I went back to sleep & woke up at 1:30 so I got up & ate & washed 2 batches of cloths & iorned 16 pieces & patched my garments.

Dean came after school & got Jackie & they took D.q truck out until 6:

I took Dale up town to buy Music book. We took Jerry to work at D.q 6: to 10: & he bought our supper.

Ivard went to Emmett at 6: AM & got home 6: P.M. He took Dean, Dale & Jackie to Piano lesson & I went to bed until time to go to work but I never did get to sleep. phone & guys comeing home. Gail came & Ivard went & tended Kids so our Kids could go to bed. Jerry got home at 9:30 & slept until we went to work

Jerry & I came home from work & went right to bed. Ivard was home & just takeing Jackie to school. He went & Paid water & came to bed.

I woke up at 1:15 & Ivard had water off fixing taps so I went back to bed. I got up at 2: & had bath & went to Dr. Borron at 3: & had complete physical & Pap & blood tests half to go in morning for blood sugar test. He told me I had heart Murmur & suspects sugar dibetes. I came home & Dean had supper & we ate & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Ivard didn't work today

Jerry went to work at D.q 6: to 11: & I picked him up & we went to work at Simplots

Dean was one of 9 freshman ask to Join Blue Key.

Monday, September 7, 1964

Lyle & Barbra came & did Jackies hair & I never did get any sleep. Jerry got called to Simplots

I came home from work & went right to bed & no one turned my blanket off & I woke up at 11: sweating to death.

Ivard went to work at 4 AM. & got home at 11: AM. then got called again tonite for 11: P.M

Jerry made a sald & Dean a cake & at 11:30 they took Jackie & went on D.q. truck. Dale went & cleaned D.q yard & went to Gails & out to Lyles. I couldn't sleep so I got up at noon & washed 2 batches of cloths & made me some ice tea & crocheted. at 2:30 I went back to bed & was just about to sleep at 3: when Kids called, having trouble with truck we drove all over north side for we found them, then it was OK & Dean & Jackie went on & Jerry came back to work at 5: & we went & got them ice & to store & they gave us our supper. They got so busy Dean had to go work 7: to 9:30.

I came home from work & went right to bed & read paper & went to sleep until 1:45 Kids woke me up so I fixed dinner & we ate & Ivard took Dale up to church to collect Fast offerings & got gas for me to go to work.  Ivard got home at 7: A.M & was in bed when I came. Gail brought Kids home this morning & they went to Church.

After we ate I laid down for little while, I thought & never woke up until after dark then I went back to sleep & never woke up until they called me to go to work at 10:30. I was tired. Ivard didn't work today  Jerry went to fireside. no church tonite.

Jerry moved back home

Jerry stayed here last nite then got up & spent all morning moving back. Ivard got called to Emmett breaking & was home by 10:30 then he got called on Boise local tonite at 11:30.

I got up & went up to dental lab & left my top plate & had 2 teeth put in  picked it up at 1:30 when Ivard & I went up & Paid Hales.

Dean cleaned up house & we moved everything around so we could get Jerrys stuff in. We put table in Kitchen but its too big so I called Wards & ordered a drop leaf. Dean & Jerry went on D.q. truck noon to 6: then Jerry went to work at D.q. 6: to close. Dale cleaned D.q. yard & went out to Lyles until 3: when they left for Black Lake for couple of days Dean went to high S. to game had to sell concessions. Dale & Jackie went up to Gails & tended Kids & stayed all nite I bathed & went to bed.

Ivards day off he picked case of berries & took up to Peterson. I washed blankets_ rugs & cloths.

I called in & told them I'd be back to work & at 3:30 I broke my front tooth out I called dental lab & they said to come at 4: but they were all locked up so I called up & laid off again, wasn't going without my teeth.

Jerry & Nancy Came with her pick-up loaded with Jerrys stuff then he had to go to work 6: to close. Stayed here tonite, hes moving back to save money to go to school.

Ivard got put on brakemans board. Ivard & I went out to Lyles & played Penochle. Dale never Came from school, got off there & stayed all nite.

got up & we took Sis to school & went & got Jerry & Ray & Jerry went to work for Ray until noon & Ray brought us home & went & did his business then went to work & Jerry took brought car home & I took him up town & home while Ivard picked case berries I washed 3 batches of cloths & made 2 pineapple apricot pies & 20 berry pies & IVard washed berries & put in freezer. I washed my hair & we played Scrabble all afternoon

Ivards day off. we had supper & at 7: we gathered Ray & his stuff up. He left on 8:15 train for Utah to go to school at B.Y.U. They want him to start work early. brought Kids home & Ivard & I went out to Lyles to Play Cards. Simplots called us back to work after I left but I didn't know it until later

Kids went to school & I read paper & got up & ate. Ivard went out to Lyles & picked ½bu apricots & took Barbra's birthday Present, 2 pr nylons. When he came home he washed bottles & I washed apricots & he ground them & we made jam. He went to store twice, 2nd time he brought Ga Jerry home & he helped me stir. made 30 qts apricot & pineapple jam.

Ivard went to work at 4:

We ate & Jerry went to work at 6:. Kids had waffles.

At 6:30 Dean, Dale & Jackie went out for their Piano l. Dale had his first & Lyle went & got him to tend Kids & he stayed all nite. Gail came & I rode out to look at home with him then when Dean came he went & Tended Gails Kids.  Jackie & I went up & had hamberger & came home at 9:30 & went to bed.

First Day Seminary_ Dean got appointed Historian

rained most of day_ cleared up little this afternoon. Dean left at 7: for Seminary, rides with Weavers this year. Kids went to school & I laid in bed & read paper & got up late then we went up & took Ray to work in rain & drove around looking at Houses for sale. got groc. & came home & had lunch & played Scrabble until time for Ivard to go to work.

 I drove up to D.q. at 6: to get Dale for supper & see Kids a min

Dean fixed supper & we ate & he did dishes & at 7: him & Dale went to Mutual with yorgensens. Jackie & I went to bed at 7:30 then I got up at 9:30 & watched T.V. until Ivard came home & it went off air. I still feel awful. Simplots called & said Plant was down on account of weather & I was laid off until called.
