Ivard started back switching in Nampa

hot - sunny - windy - cloudy

I never woke up until 9:, Ray had already gone to work. I hurried & fixed breakfast, made big rice pudding yesterday afternoon for it. Ivard & I, Marline & Jackie went & got Ivards check & went to bank & pd bills & got few groc. & came home at 12:30 & Jerry took Dean up to take Dq. truck out & I fixed lunch then I hot packed Ivard leg & we went to hospital & saw Lynda & new baby, has a mop of black hair, took it a pink romper. left hospital & took Ivard to work at 4:, back switching, & I got $25. worth more groc. & came home & cooked supper. Dean broke down & Jerry went & pushed him to garage then went & got him at 6:30 Ray came home & ate & Jerry took him to Melba to work at "Smiles" then him & Dean went to Hurrens & got genelogy sheets. I worked on books & washed cloths. Mother quilted all day & half nite, Dean typed gen. sheets. I laid off no car, for me, every one going ever which ways. I got books up & wrote Gene, got through when Ivard came at midnite

Gail & Lynda had 9 lb baby boy

Ray didn't go to work had to contact his parolle officer & report his wreck, he was driveing.

We hot packed Ivards leg & Ivard & I went up town & mother & she bought some quilt clamps while we went & saw Ins. about fixing wrecked Desoto. I took Dean up to go on D.q. T.

Gail & Kids were here all day & he left to go to hospital & see Lynda at 2: had baby about 3:30 AM.

We had late breakfast & early supper, I cooked Steaks & we ate, Gail too & at 5:30 Ivard & I & Mother took Ray to Melba to work at "Smilies" & we went to Glenns Ferry & got all of Ivards stuff, he got bumped off brakeman board & is going switching in Nampa. we stoped in Mountain Home & ate & got to Melba at 11:30 & got Ray & came home. Dale went to Mutual. Dean didn't get home soon enough from D.q., had to walk. Jerry tended Kids. I laid off, no car.

Kids hit cow - no one hurt
Wrecked car & Killed cow.
Ivard got bumped off Brakeman board

I came home from work & cooked hot cakes for them & went to bed at 9:30.

Ivard got home at 3: A.M & was in bed when I came home.

Jerry, Ma & Kids took Dean to D.q at noon & drove out to dam.

Ivard watered & went to Dr. his leg is worst. has to hot pack it & if it isnt better soon he has to go to hospital. I got up at 5: & packed Ivards leg & we played Scrabble after supper.

Mother, Jerry, Ray & Dale, Jackie & Marlin went & picked Dean up at 7: from D.q. & Jerry took them all to Caldwell to show "Mary Poppin" Ivard had a bath & we went to bed at 8:15 & at 10:15 Jerry called, they'd hit a cow comeing home so I lad off & we went & got them. Killed cow & wrecked car, towed it to Nampa - no one hurt.

Sunday, June 27, 1965

I came home from work & made baked beans & meat loaf & Jello & went to bed at 10: & MOther cooked it. Jerry - Ray - Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & sunday school. Marlin didn't feel good so Jackie stayed home too. I got up at 1: & we ate & I went back to bed at 2:30 & rest of them had nap & went for ride & up to Gails. I got up at 6:30 & washed 2 batches of cloths & got ready & we all went to church. Came home & I fixed sandwiches & Jerry made root beer floats. I laid down a hr. & went to work.

Ray worked at Smiles in Nampa 6: to close. They took him when they went to Gails

Saturday, June 26, 1965

wrote Gene 10 page letter & sent money

cloudy & rained most of nite, cold, had furnace on. I came home from work & went to bed at 9:30. Ray woke me up at 4:30.

Jerry & Dean went to Boise as soon as I got home, to last day of B.Y.U. Institute.

Ray didn't have to work today & he did dishes & scrubbed & cleaned house. Mother painted & crocheted.

Ray had to go work at Smiles in Melba 6: to close, Jerry & Dean just got home in time to take him.

Home teachers came & Gail came awhile (alone).

I wrote Gene a letter & Gail took it to Post office when he went home. Mother & Kids watched T.V. Dean went to dance with Nancy. M-Men Gleaner week.

I went to bed until time to go to work.

Friday, June 25, 1965

Ivard went back to Glenns Ferry on brakeman board

windy.

I came home from work & helped get breakfast, Mother made biscuits.

Jerry went to Boise to B.Y.U. Institute all day.

Ivard worked on yard, watered & cleaned some of garage.

I went to bed at 10:30 & they woke me up at 12:30 & Ivard & I & Mother took Dean up to D.q. & went to bank & got bank draft for Gene & put some money in checking then we went to Pennies. Came home & got supper ready & ate & Ivard left for Glenns Ferry at 5:45 got bumped out of Nampa again & went on brakeman board down there. He went by Melba & took Ray to work at Smiles 6: to 12:30. He forgot his pills so Jerry & I & Mother & Kids dashed out & took them then picked Dean up on way home. Dale was collecting. I went through Deans money & laid down a half hr. & went to work. Jerry went to M-Men-gleaner banquet.

Ivard went to Dr. had blood clot in leg

I came by D.q. on way from work, Mr. Johnson called last nite & said he wanted to talk to me. Came home & went to bed at 10:30. Ivard, Mother & Kids went up town, Ivard got bumped out of Nampa & had to call G. F. on brakeman extra board their now. got Marlyn & Dale new shoes. Jerry went to Boise to Institute.

I got up at 3:30 & Mother Ivard & I went up town. Ivard had to go to Dr. has blood clot in leg. got him an attachee case with Green stamps for fathers day. got groc. & came home & I got supper & we ate. Jerry planted flowers. Ivard went & got Dean from D.q. at 8: Gail brought him home at noon, Lynda came home again. I looked through Deans D.q. change & went to work at 11:

hot but got real black & cloudy dust storm.

I came home from work & went right to bed. woke up at noon & Mother had roast cooked, I put it on when I got home, & dinner ready. We ate & Dean & Jerry left at 1: to take D.q. truck out. Ivard cut lawn & watered all day.

Gail & Kids came for 2 or 3 hrs. took Lynda to hospital. Jerry fixed them a bite when he got home at 7:30 & Dean went home with Gail to tend Kids while Gail went to hospital, stayed all nite. Lynda didn't have baby. I went to bed at 8:30 until time to go to work but couldn't sleep. Ray went to Party for Weaver Kid rest of them watched T.V.

I spent all day washing & iorning. Mother used my paints & started painting

Jerry & Dean went out on D.Q truck all afternoon.

I got supper & we ate about 6:45. & Mother went with Jerry & Ray to take Dale to Yorgesons to Mutual swimming party then they went to take Dean to Mutual & went & got some flowers to plant.

I went to bed but never did get to sleep, had to get up at 9:30 & got get Kids from Mutual. Ray & Jerry had gone with Nancy. I went to work at 11:

Came home from Utah.

hot. We got up & had breakfast & Ruth & Ray went to work & Mother, Marlyn &  us left for home at 8: We stoped at Bliss & had dinner. We got home at 5: Jerry was out with D.q. truck & Dale was to Hoagg's. I unpacked & washed cloths. Gail & family came & Gail & Ivard went selling books. Mother & I took Lynda & Kids home & went & got groc. & we had supper about 8: every body was tired & we went to bed early

hot  Ivard got up early & took Dean in to Organ recital & morning session of conference & he went & visited Alv. & Marv until time to get Dean. We streightened up & I helped Ruth with Dinner, she had all of us & Deann & Shirley & their families. We ate & they went to church at 3:, Janice had to talk. Kay called & Ivard went over & got them & they visited awhile then we took them back to Petersons & visited awhile. Came back to Ruths at 7:30 & we had a sandwich & visited. went to bed about 11:

I never woke up until Berniece had breakfast ready. Mother & Marlyn packed their bags to go home with us & after we had dinner we went to Bountiful, stoped at Petersons & showed their new house to Mother. Kay & Claudia were there. We went to Ruth & Rays to stay couple of days. We had supper & Mother, Sharon, Ivard & I went to Salt Lake to U. Stadium to church dance festival. It was fabilous 8500 dancers. Dean was in it. After we went & got his things & he went out to Ruths with us & we stayed all nite. had some lemonade & visited. Jackie & Marlyn went down to Deanns & stayed while Ruth was to wedding & she brought them home & had them in bed.

went to Toolle to Bernieces

nice today. We got up & had breakfast & left Kays at 9:30 & went & took rented bed back & went to American Fort to Donna's & she & I copied Ivards genelogy he has to hand in & we had dinner. Ivard sold them an atlas & Dictonary's. We came to toolle to Berneices. got here about 3:  We went up Canyon & had fried chicken supper at 6:30, Curtis's Scout troop were raising money for trip. It was Curtis's 16th birthday & we came home & had icecream & cake. We stayed all nite at Bernieces. Ken was to work so Mother slept with Berniece & we had her bed. We went to bed about 10:

Went to Provo to Kays

nice today but cool. I never woke up until after Ivard & Ray got back from Salt L., takeing Ruth to work, & Ray fixed breakfast then at 9:30 we left for Provo to see Kay. He was at work at book store so Claudia & baby (Ike) went up & saw him & he got off & showed us through building & I bought our lunch in new cafeteria then we went back to Kays & Ivard tended baby & we went to store. We had supper at 7: after Kay got back from class.

Ivard sold Kay set of books, Plan 8.

We went & rented a bed & stayed to Kays all nite.

The baby sure is growing, looks like Lyles, Randy. cute. He sure is strong.

Wednesday, June 16, 1965

Left for Utah. Ivard & I start our weeks vacation

Rained hard all morning, Dale came home from Paper route drenched

At 8:30 AM. Ivard, Jackie, Dean & I left for Utah. rained on us to Paul & was cloudy all the way. Dean drove over half the way. We stoped at Paul & had dinner & at Brigham City & had root beer. Got to Ruth & Rays at 4:30. They have nice new home, can see all over valley.

We had supper after Ruth & Ray got home from work. then about 9: Ivard & I & Ruth took Dean in to Salt Lake & checked him into Tower Motel on 10th So & State, they had it reserved for dancers. We left Dean & went back to Ruths & watched T.V & had Tacos & went to bed.

Tuesday, June 15, 1965

Jackie had 2nd D.P.T shot & measles

cool & cloudy

sunny & windy rained most of nite.

I came home from work, took a weeks vacation, & went to bed until noon. Ivard & Dale cut lawn for first time, Kinda of wet.

Dean didn't take truck out again today, stormy looking & cool.

Ivard went to work at 1:30. I went to Dr. at 3:30 lost 1/2 lb. took Jackie & she had her first 2nd D.P.T shots & her measles shots.

Jerry fixed supper & I got some more cloths washed up. We went to bed early so we could go on our trip tomorrow.

Monday, June 14, 1965

Lyle went home

I called Mother.

cold - black & cloudy & rained all nite, morning & one & off all day. Jerry got us & took Dale on paper route & they went back to bed. Lyle got up & left for home at 5:30 A.M.

We got up at 9:30 & I cooked breakfast. Ray didn't go to work until noon, Dean & Jerry took him. Ivard got called for 2:30 on Wilder local. I washed cloths all day. Dean didn't take D.q. truck out today, too stormy

I called mother, shes going to come home with us from Utah.

I went to bed. about 7: & got up & went to work at 11: Ivard wasn't home until about 11:30.

Family reunion at Lava, came home

cool, cloudy - sunny.

We got up at 7:30 A.M. & I showered & we left for Lava Hot springs to Family reunion & had our breakfast at cafe then went to Park & met we had our meeting, Lyle got elected as one of officers after meeting we went up to Park on other side of town & ate, sure chilly, then Ivard & Kids went Swimming & I visited We left for home at 5: & Lyle Gail & us Kept together & stoped at roadside Park just before dar & had bonfire & ate supper. We got home at 1:15 AM & Lyle & family went to bed until morning. Ray got home 15 min. after we did, rode with Gail. I laid off work tonite.

Saturday, June 12, 1965

left for Lava to family reunion. Ivard came back to Nampa to work.

We called Kay & Lyle about reunion after Ray called Donna & found out it was tomorrow

I made 2 cakes & cooked to roasts to take & got ready to go to family reunion.

cleaned up house. Jerry & Dean took D.q. truck out.

Ivard came back to Nampa to work on Brakeman job, got regular job, Wilder went to work at noon & got home at 7: Ray came home from work & at 7: left for reunion with Gail & family

We waited until 8:30 for Lyle to come from Legrand & we left for reunion, followed each other.

Dean had to dance in floor show tonite & Jerry had to do Dales paper route in morning so they stayed home & went to dance. We stoped in Pocotello & got a Motel & stayed all nite, got there about 1: A.M Lyle had a room & & we had one.

Jerrys birthday

Plant went down so we had to work until we got done at 9: I came home & went to bed until noon & got up & took Dean & Jerry up to take D.q. truck out. & Jackie & I went to Safeway & Albertsons & got groc. had to wait half hr for Jerrys cake so we had lunch at albertsons. came home & put groc. away & washed cloths & cooked Jerrys supper & we ate when they got home at 7:15. I went & got them.

I checked Deans money & went to bed early. I was half dead - nite off

Kids stayed home & went to bed early.

I dame home from work & went right to bed.

Jerry went to Boise to meeting with Gail.

Dean went out with D.q. truck at noon, Jackie & I took him then we went up town & bought some presents for Jerrys birthday & ordered him a cake, stoped at D.q & had drink & bought some sweetner came home & made some tea & washed cloths. fixed supper & we ate when Dale & Ray came home, Jerry came about 5: Dean went to dance practice & dress rehersal; Jerry took him. I checked Deans money. went to work at 11:30.

hot & windy. I came home from work & went right to bed. Ray went to work.

Dean & Dale went to Piano lessons at 10: then Dean & Jackie went on D.q. truck. Jerry took them up & went to unemployment office. Dale went visiting

Jerry came home & at 3:30 I went to Dr., I only lost 3/4 lb. & he said that wasn't enough & put me on 200 calorie diet for next week. Jerry fixed supper & I finished Deans costumes.

I checked Deans D.q. truck money & got 1.60 worth for my collection.

Went back to work tonite again

cloudy & sunny - warm

I got up & fixed Rays lunch & he went to work with riders & at 8:15 Gail came & took Jerry to Boise all day to book meeting. I sewed after I looked through Deans coins (D.q. money) I took Dean to work at noon after we took Dale & Rays suit to cleaner & got some thread for Deans shirt, let Dale off at D.q to clean yd & got him when we came back. Dale went to Hoaggs all afternoon. I made 2 kinds of cookies, 130, made Jello, baked beans & 86 deviled eggs for supper & we ate when Dale came at 6:15 Jerry got home at 5:, Ray worked late. Jerry took Dale to Mutual & went & got Dean & took him to dance Practice. Jackie did dishes & I had bath & went to bed until time to go to work.

I got up & fixed Rays lunch & we took Ivard up to Gails to go to Boise to World Book meetings & I took Ray to work. Came home & cut out 2 shirts for dance festival for Dean & another Kids & got one made & part of another.

Jerry took Dean to work & went to unemployment office & came home & watered & planted flowers. father called at 6:30 & I went to R. R. & called Glenns Ferry & they gave him 1 1/2 hrs to get down there or miss out so we came home & got few cloths & Ray & Jackie & dashed to G. F. I bought their supper & Ivard had to leave at 10: We came home, got here at 11: I made banna pies today.

Ivard cam home

Went to Schulthies

nice day, not as hot

Jerry, Ray - Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & S. S. & I made Potatoe salad & meat loaf & Dean came & got Jackie & I & we went to S. S. Jackie gave 2 1/2 min. talk. We stayed to Fast meeting but Jerry & Rodney went to Boise. We came home at 1:30, Dale stayed to Pass fast offerings, & Ivard had come home & was in bed. We ate at 3:30 & when Dale came at 4: Ivard & I, Ray, Dean, Dale & Jackie went over to Schulthies & visited Am. Howard & Lynda were up from Utah & Roy Bair & his wife were there. We came home about 11:30 Ivard was 9 times out so came up with some guy. Dodge is in garage getting wheel fixed.

I got laid off for 3 days

hot. I changed all bed & washed made to lime pies.

We got laid off for 3 days, run out of Potatoes. I came home from work froze & went to bed until noon & got up & took Dean & Jerry to D.q., Jerry went with Dean today. Got Dale up when we left & he went up when we left & went up & got hair cut & went to Hoaggs Jackie & I went & bought $55. worth of groc. & came home & got them put up. washed Jackies & Dales hair. fixed supper & went & got Jerry & Dean at 7: & we ate & they got ready & Jerry & Ray went to Boise to dance with Rodney. We went to bed about 9:

At 12:30 AM phone rang & it was father on way to Huntington, wouldbe here couple of hrs so I got ready & went up to yd. office & got him & we went & had chow mein & sat & talked I came home at 2:30 AM.

I came home from work, cold I went to bed as soon as I got home. Jerry went & worked for Bishop Y. today 10: to 4: weeding flowers, working on yd. he came home for lunch & took Dean to work on D.q. truck, Dale to church house to go on Priesthood Party all afternoon, Chalee. & took Jackie to Gails. I got up at 3: was supposed to go to Dr. but no car. I washed cloths & fixed supper & went & got Jackie from Gails.

Ray came home from work & got ready & he & Jerry went with Rodney. I went & got Dean at 7: & went to bed untill time to go to work. Dean got me up at 10:30 & him & Jackie went to bed.

I got called back to Simplots

hot & windy''I got up at 5: & took Dale on paper route, had flat tire on bike. Came home & made Rays lunch & Dale & I played Scrabble & I cooked breakfast.

Dean & Jerry took Ray to work. Jackie went to Primary at 10:

Jerry went up to unemployment office & came back & took Dean to D.q. at noon & he went to Boise to see about school at B.J.C. I washed cloths, painted, & got supper.

Simplots called about 6: & I go back to work tonite.

Ray came home from work & we ate & he got ready & had a Stanley Party. Mrs. Johnson came early & brought rest of my Stanley Kit, I was in tub. Jerry went & got Dean at D.q & took him to dance Practice.

Jerry quit the D.q. today.

I got up & fixed Rays lunch & Dean & Jerry took him to work.

Jerry walked to work at D.q his last day, 10: to 6: he quit.

I washed cloths.

I took Jackie & Dean up to take D.q. truck at noon & went & got them at 8:30 & stayed & saw Mr. Johnson show Dean how it works on commission.

I cooked supper & we ate when Ray got home & Kids watered lawn. Jerry came home from work with Edith.

Got home with Dean & J. at 9: & we went to bed early.

Jerry was planting flowers & watering lawn all day

I washed some cloths & painted on my tri-chem display articles all day.

Dean went on Dairy q. truck all afternoon, I took him up.

Jerry went to work in car at 6: to close & Dean brought it home at 7:15 & him & Dale & Ray went to Mutual. Ray brought Kids home aftr & went to Yorgensons swimming

I went & got Jerry at midnite.
