Claudia's birthday

Ray & I left for Pocotello

Sunny & warm we had breakfast & Kay left for work. I crocheted & Claudia did her Saturday work. Ray & Ike went down to store & got some meat pies & we had lunch. At 3:30 we went to Salt Lake & droped Claudia & Ike off & they walked over to Kays office & Ray & I went out to 33rd So & 1445 E. to Dr Carlos Madisons & he gave Ray an evaluation session, said he should go home & live like he always did & see how things went & if he needed him to contact him later. We went back to Salt Lake & met Kay & Cl at Harmons & Ray bought our supper for Claudia's 25th birthday I had Shrimp. We had 3 course dinner & desert, good strawberry pie. At 6:45 we went to depot & Ray bought his ticket & at 7:30 we left for Pocotello, took us 2 hrs from time we left Salt Lake until we left Ogden. I was so tired. I slept a bit.

I got to Salt Lake

Ray got released from mission, nerves

Sunny & cool.

We arrived in Salt Lake at 6:50 A.M. I slept most of way I was so tired. I waited about 10 min & Kay & Ray came in & met me. Claudia & Ike were in car. We took Kay to work & went out to his place. I crocheted we had lunch & Ray & I went to Salt Lake to Church offices in Kays car. We met with Brother Jaycock then got an appointment with Brother Hinckley for 4: so we went down to Kays office & he came out & talked to us awhile & we went back up & saw Brother Hinckley at 3:50. then waited to see Brother Sperry. It was 6: time we got back to Kays. Brother Hinckley said Ray would go nuts if he didn't get help & settle down his nerves. Said he was released from his mission. We ate & Claudia, Kay & Ray went up & hoed garden. We stayed at Kays all nite. Ray hadn't got girl in trouble just told them that to get home.

Wednesday, June 22, 1966

I went to Utah & droped Debbie off home. Called Kay. Ray came home from Mission

Gail called at 9:30 tonite to Salt L.

black & cloudy - windy, calm, cool sunny. Gene & Cheryl came & took Jackie & Dennie to deliver papers then they came home & at 7:45 Cheryl came & got them to go with her to take Gene to work they they went to her place with her & they went to store.

Dean & Jerry went on milk route.

I changed my & Jackies beds & washed pads, bedding ect.  10 batches & hung out all but one to dry.

at 2:30 I went up & signed for unemployment & then at 4: Jerry & I went up to Dairy & got Gails money & paid some Bills. for him, he called me. We had supper & I washed 3 batches of Cheryls she brought over to do & got one dry had bath & packed & at 7: Jerry & Dean took me & Debbie up to catch train I went to Salt Lake & dropped Debbie off home, Gail was there to meet her . Jackie stayed with Gene. Ray got in Salt Lake at 9:50 P.M. from mission

Tuesday, June 21, 1966

Dale went to Disneyland

Cheryl & I went to Relief Society

cold - Gene came & took Dale & Debbie & Jackie on Dales paper route so they could do it while Dale is gone to Disneyland. I got up & took Jerry & Dean on milk route so I could have car and at 9:45 I went & got Cheryl & we went to Leva Newlands to relief Society had breakfast, hot cakes, sausages all kinds of fruit, & pineapple J. delecious about froze. Made picture frames We went home at 2:, left Jackie & Debbie alone. We got Kids & went & got Dean & Jerry & went home & ate then they took Cheryl home.

Dale left at 9:45 for 5 day all expense trip to Disneyland with bunch of News boys from Statesman.

We ate & Dean & Jerry went to Mutual & right after President Isen called & wanted me & Ivard to come & see him but I told him he was out of town so he had me come at 9:30. I called Mutual & he came & took me to Stake house. He told me mission office had called & said Ray would arrive in Salt Lake tomorrow nite. He'd got some girl in trouble. I was thunder struck. Couldn't sleep.

Monday, June 20, 1966

Sunny & warm Jerry & Dean went on milk route and Dale went on paper route.

I woke up when they left so I got up and crocheted until Dale got home & I fixed Kids breakfast then Dale took Debbie & Jackie over to Cheryls & he went collecting I washed cloths & swept & cleaned Play room, utility room & Kitchen & dineing room & moped Kitchen & watered lawn all day.

Kids came home about time Jerry did & Jerry took Kids & droped Jackie & Debbie off at Nampa Swimming pool & took Dale over to Caldwell to I.D. to S&H Green stamp store to get him extra tickets for Disneyland We ate & guy came & Sprayed our whole place. I watched T.V. & crocheted.

Jerry & Dale did their paper route & Jerry, Dean & Dale went & got Gene & went to Priesthood. I had bath & Jackie & Debbie, & CHeryl came & got us & we went to S.S. Came home & fixed dinner & Cheryl & Gene came over & we ate. & Jackie & Debbie did dishes, Gene went home, Dale went over to Garners & Jerry & Dean went to meet at Stake House. I had nap & we watched T.V.

Jerry, Dean, Dale, Jackie & Debbie & I went to church. Came home & had a sandwich & every one went to bed & I stayed up & watched T.V.

Called Ivard for fathers day he was at Gails in Pocotello.

Saturday, June 18, 1966

Ray & Ruth left for home.

Sunny & breezy. Kids went on milk route & Dale did his Paper route. none of us woke up until 8: AM. I made waffles & fixed breakfast & they left at 10:30. Jerry & Dean got home about 11: & I fixed lunch & we were just eating when Cheryl walked Jackie & Debbie home & they ate too.

Jerry & Dean cleaned up house & I had nap. At 5: we took Cheryle home & went & Paid Penny's & got few groc. Came home & made jello for tomorrow & washed 2 batches of cloths & hung out to dry & watched Lawrence Welk. Got cloths in & Mrs Bender came over awhile. Gene came over & changed his oil.

everyone bathed & went to bed & I watched T.V. until it went off air.

Friday, June 17, 1966

Ruth & Ray, Sharon, Kim & wife stayed all nite.

Debbie & Jackie stayed at Genes.

Got my Vacation check

warm & breezy

Jerry & Dean went on Milk route at 5: & took Dale with them to go on paper route. I woke up & couldn't go back to sleep when they left so I got up & crocheted. Dale came & Kids ate & played house I fixed lunch & Dale, walked Jackie & Debbie over to Gene's to stay all nite. I baked 4 loaves white & 4 loaves whole wheat bread & a roast. Lyle & 2 Kids stoped in a min. on way to Boise

Jerry & Dean came about 4:30 & we ate & went up & got my vacation check from Simplot Venice Buell got for me. We hunted all over for Kids but couldn't find them. Gene came home early & they'd gone up town. Went to bank & came home at 6:30 & Ruth & Ray were here so I fixed them supper & we visited until 10:30 & went to bed. Gene & Kids came awhile then went to show.

Ivard left to work at Rupert

Jerry & Dean went on Milk R. & Dale on Paper route. I was up when Dale got home. Cooked waffles & we ate & Debbie & Jackie did dishes. Ivard took Dale to collect a Couple of places & filled up with gas & at 9:30 AM he left for Rupert to work.

I washed 2 batches of cloths & hung out of new line Ivard made me. Dale, Jackie & Debbie walked over to Cheryls at 10:45. Jerry & Dean got home at 11:30.

Kids came home & got ready & Dean & Jerry took Jackie & Debbie to Primary & pd bills for me & got some groc. We ate when Kids got home & Dean & Dale went to church farm & did Hay Dean dropped Dale off & he went with Gene. Jerry did dishes I watched T.V.

last day of fathers vacation

Gene had to take his physical for draft

Sunny & hot. Jerry & Dean went on milk route & Stanley & Dale on paper route. I cooked breakfast & Barbra did dishes while I washed some cloths then at 10:30 Ivard & I went & got his check & Paid place & put Rays money in bank. Came home & played Penochle. Kids walked over to Cheryls & she walked back with them & at 2: Lyle, Barbra, Cheryl & all the Kids went to Park swimming & Ivard & I went & Pd. Don Boren & came home & Jerry, Dean & I got supper ready & Ivard & I played Scrabble. Lyle & them came at 5:30 & Gene came from Boise took his pysical & passed for draft. We ate & Dean & Jerry went to Deans Piano L. & to visit sick. Lyle went to Metcalfs & we rode up & Paid Credit U. & watched T.V.

Got home from Utah

Debbie came home with us.

Cloudy - Sunny - real windy

We got up & had breakfast & packed up & at 11:30 A.M. we left for home. stoped at American Falls & saw falls & stoped in Jerome & went to Park & had a watermellon & Ivard drove from Jerome home. We brought Debbie home for week or so. We got home about 5: & got unpacked Barbra spent hr. bathing & washed & dried 4 batches of her cloths, I didn't get to do any.

I fixed supper & Lyle & B went to store & got icecream & cookies for desert & we ate out on lawn.

Jerry & Dean went to Mutual Lyle & family went over to Genes to stay but ended up comeing back here.

Ray left for Scotland.

went to Lagoon

breezy & not too hot.

We got up at 4:00 A.M & loaded up & went to Salt Lake to airport, Got there about 5:10 & Ray got there right after from Provo & we got his suit case packed & checked in & visited. He left for Scotland at 8:45 on huge United Jet. will make 2 stops, Chicago & London. Donna got there just as he was leaving, saw her boy of for Southern States M at 8: at train depot David. We went over to Irv's & got meat Pies to take home in cooler & went up to Kays & repacked truck then went down to Gordy Paces drive Inn & ate & went to Lagoon at 11:30 & Kids went in fun house & on rides. left Lagoon about 3: for Pocotello & got up to Gails about 6:30 & ate & stayed all nite.

Gene reported his mission

Sunny but cool this morning

Claudia & Barbra got up & fed & bathed Kids, I didn't dare get up until I could get in bath room.

Lyle - Kay & Ivard went to Priesthood. then we left & went out to Tooele to Bernieces, stopped at airport & watched planes land & leave. Kay & Claudia came out about 1:30. We had supper about 7: then Kay showed his slides of Peru, that where Kent is called for his mission. Kay left about 9:30 for home & we stayed all nite. Lyles Kids slept in truck.

Mother is feeling pretty good.

Went to Utah with Lyle & family

Cloudy - Sunny - Windy, cool

We got up & packed & at 8: Ivard Jackie & I left for Utah with Lyle & family. Jerry was on milk route but Dale was home from Paper route. We stoped in Glens Ferry few min. for Ivard to make out his time slip. We stoped at Tremonton to Park & ate our dinner we brought with us. We got down to Bountiful at 4:45 & stoped at Pennys & got Ray a pr. of pants to take for baptisims. got to Kays right after 5: & Ivard Kay & Lyle & Kids went over to school & played basketball then they had to shower & claen up & Kay - Ivard & Lyle went to store & we had supper out on back lawn, hot dogs watermellon ect. had to wear our sweaters it was so cool. I called Mother. Went to bed at 10:45.

Ray Tovey & family came

Ray called & said he left Monday

Lyle came

Sunny - cool. At 1: A.M. Ruth & Ray called to see how to get out to our place & Ivard finally went to find them & came back alone. they got lost & called again. It was 2: A.M. time they got here. We got them to bed. Ruth - Ray- Kim & his wife & Sharon.

Got up at 8: & fixed breakfast & we all ate. Jerry was on milk route & didn't see them. Dale was home from Paper route. They left about 10:30 for Portland.

at 11:30 Lyle & family came, started 10 day vacation. Jerry came & left a bunch of orange drink & choc. milk & took Stanley with him to unload. Dale had gone collecting. We played Penochle & at 3:30 I started to fix supper & we ate & at 5: Ivard & I went to bank & got rest of Rays stuff. came home & Lyle & Barbra had gone over to Homedale to her cousins wedding left Kids here & we put them to bed on lawn. I washed cloths & got all packed to go to Utah. Betty brought Jerry fancy cake like a Baby Grand Piano for his birthday tomorrow they went to a wedding. went to bed at midnite.

Ivard started vacation

Cloudy & stormy - rained hard for about hr.

Jerry went on milk route & Dale did his paper route. Jerry brought a bunch of cheese, 10 lbs, & stuff home.

We cleaned up the house & Ivard got the garden hoed.

I cooked 2 roasts & & made jello & potatoe salad & fixed beets.

After it rained Ivard came in & we played Scrabble. I fixed supper & we ate about 8: Kept thinking Ruth & Ray would come. Dale went collecting & over to Cheryl's all after noon

Ivard didn't work today. Gene & Cheryl came over about dark for awhile.

We watched T.V. & went to bed at 10: Ray is going to Scotland.

Got letter from Ray

Ivard got bumped out of Glenns F.

Jerry went on milk route & took Jackie with him, dropped Dale off on paper route. Dale came home & tried to start lawn mower & couldn't so went back to bed. Got up at 10:30 & went over to Gene about 11: Jerry came home & brought some milk ect then they got home at 1: Dale never came home until 6:

I went up signed up for unemployment & got Rays 2 new suits & Deans new suit Pants from alterations. Got groc. & came home. Jerry, Jackie & I cleaned different Parts of house & Jerry got supper.

Ivard called at 4: & I went & Picked him up, got bumped out of G.F. We ate & Ivard did dishes. Dale mowed awhile then I went out & washed sidewalk & Ivard worked on lawn & at 8: Ivard & I & Jackie took Dale to collect & Ivard bought us a Sundee & we went home to bed.

Sunny & nice. breezy

Jerry dropped Dale off for paper route on his way to work. & Dale was home about 6:30. I did up iorning 27 pieces got Rays new shirts ready to pack.

Dale & Jackie went over to Genes at 10: & Dale was going collecting. Jerry got home at 1: & went to Boise to genealogy library.

I worked on my books.

Kids came home at 3: & Jerry came at 6:

I got supper & we ate & Jerry & Dale went to Mutual.

I made rice pudding for breakfast.

Gene & Cheryl came over for awhile

I watched T.V. until it went off the air.

Got card from Dean

Cloudy all day, sun came out for about hr in afternoon.

Jerry went on milk route & dumped Dale off for his paper route. Dale came home & watered lawn & him & Jackie ate & at 9:30 Dale pumped Jackie over to Genes & they stayed all day. Dale went collecting for couple of hrs. I moped & cleaned Kitchen & watered lawn all day. washed 4 batches of cloths & painted. When mail came I dashed a letter over to Cheryl & told Dale some Kids wanted him to come to Park & play ball. I cooked supper & went & got Kids at 5: & we ate. Jerry got home about 4: & planted some flowers & had shower. We ate & Jackie did dishes. Jerry took Jackie & Dale to show & 3 of Dales boy friends. I watched T.V. & went to bed at 9:30.

Dean left for week at Boys State

Ivard was home 3: hrs.

Sunny nice day - windy.

I woke up at 3:30 AM & couldn't go back to sleep. Jerry & Dale went & did their paper route & got ready & Jerry, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood. Dean packed & left right after Sunday S. to catch the bus for "Boys State in Boise for week. I washed my hair & had bath & Jackie & I went to S.S. & Fast meeting. We all came home at 1:30 & I cooked hambergers & trimmings & Gene & Cheryl came & ate dinner with us at 2:30. & Jackie did dishes. John Poppleton & his girl came & visited for couple of hrs. Ivard came in on 4: train & I went & got him & fixed him something to eat & he had bath & cleaned up & at 7: we went up to Genes to show Ivard his house & then Gene & C. rode up with us to take Ivard to train at 8: Jerry went visiting at hospital. Came home at 8:45 & watched show & went to bed.

Gene & Cheryl moved.

nice Sunny day.

Jerry & Dean went on Milk route & droped Dale off to do his paper route.

Cheryle & Jackie went on Dales bike to find a house & were back in little while, found one on East Pruett lane for $50. all funished, soe we spent all day moving her stuff over & getting her & I groc. Jackie stayed over to help her & when Jerry & Dean got home Dean went & got hair cut then they went & Helped Cheryl unpack & wash dishes & shelves ect.

Gene got home from work at 7:30 & had bath & I went with him over to show him where his new house was. Dale got home from Scout trip. We went to bed about 10: Jerry went to wedding reception.

Dale went on overnite Scout trip to Cougar Mountain.

sunny - cloudy - cold.

Jerry & Dean went ib Nilk route & Dale paper route. Jackie was sick in bed all day & I was sick too.

Gene went to work at 7: & Cheryl washed some things & iorned them & played with Jackie. Dale got ready & I took him up to church at 1: to go on overnite Scout trip up to Cougar Mountain. I had to dash back home & get stuff Dale forgot then I sat & waited for Jerry & Dean at church & they came at 2:45 & took a load of Kids up that were left for them & I brought other car home after I took Dean up to Cheveron Station to see guy about going to Boys State, was 1st alternate. Jerry picked him up then I cooked supper & we ate when Gene got home. Jerry & D. came about 8:30. We went to bed early.

Ivard came home from G. F this morning & left on 8: train again

still cool but got Kind of warm & windy this afternoon.

Jerry & Dean went on milk route & droped Dale off on paper route. Ivard got home from Glenns F. this morning & when Kids got home from milk route they took Cheryl & went up to Gails old place & got some of old furn. he left them & Ivard & I went to Caldwell to Simplots & got my check & paid my Ins. for June. We stoped at fruit stand & got some plants, case strawberries, oranges banannas & potatoes ect. came home & fixed the case of berries & put some in freezer & got supper & Ivard planted the plants & we ate when Gene got home from work & I took Ivard up to catch train for G.F. Gene & Cheryl went & looked at houses

Cool again. Cloudy. Gene went back to work after his 2 week vacation & Jerry & Dean droped Dale off on his paper route when they went on milk route. Cheryle washed her cloths & streightened up their things & Jerry took her to look at house when he got home.

I spent all morning writeing to Ray & when Kids got home Dean & I went & got Rays money & mailed him & I went to bank & Dean paid some bills while I paid some & I signed up for unemployment & we came home & Jerry, Dean, Dale, Jackie & Cheryl went to Boise to unemployment office genelogy library & got home at 5:45. Kids went to piano leson & I had supper ready & we ate when Gene got home & ids. Went to bed early. I iorned.
