Sunny & little breeze. dried a batch of cloths out after noon.
Played games with Kids & worked on books.
Jerry went to work at D. q at 11: until 5: getting ready to open tomorrow.
Ivard called at 3:15 just got in from McCall. I went & got him & we got his check & paid place got some gas & took up & put in his car & I gave him a push. I stoped & got few groc. Ivard watered cows & had bath & we ate when I fixed supper then Ivard & Jackie went to bed because Ivard got called brakeing to Nyssa when his rest was up at 11:30. he got up at 10: & drove to Nyssa to work. Jerry went to Stake House to M-Men Gleaner dance & Party after at Alices.
I wrote Kay, didn't get it finished. I spent new years Eve alone with Dean & Dale. We watched "Broadway Melody" on T.V. Kids went to bed at 12:30 & I burned 1/3 pkg of tea & waited a hr before it cought & finally burned, fire place fire was about out. I've made up my mind to stop breaking the word of Wisdom & recking my health with the awful habit I've had for 10 yrs., of drinking iced tea. Another New Years resolution, I'm going to try very hard to loose a lot of weight starting in the morning, Jan 1st, I also am going to write my history this year & try very hard to do a lot of genelogy.
I'm going to try very hard to be a better wife & mother and go to church more. I pray the lord will help me to keep these resolutions in this brand new year.

I stayed in bed late & read paper.
Jerry - & Dean went to go to Priesthood but couldn't start car so Jerry stayed home, he doesn't feel good any way. Mr. Gragerson came & took Dean to Priesthood Dale walked up to corner & met Perrys & went to Sunday School. Jackie is sick, I kept her in bed all day. Jerry got car started at noon & went & got some gas & milk. Jerry cooked dinner & we ate when Kids got home & Dean & Dale did dishes.
Played Rook.
Sis & I watched T.V. & Jerry took Dean & Dale to church, brought them home after & went to Fireside.
I stayed in bed late & read paper.

Jerry worked up to Dairy q. all afternoon with Mr. Johnson getting it cleaned up.
We left Jackie alone watching T.V & I took Dean & Dale up & got a haircut. I got a sack of coal while I waited. left Dale drying a batch of overalls at U wash & brought Dean home with Sis. went back & got Dale & cloths & came home & cooked supper. Hales came & fixed dryer tonite. We ate at 6: when Jerry came. We watched T.V. & Jerry went to decorate for New Years Eve dance

We ate late - Jerry was sick & laid down most of day.
Ivards day off but they called up & wanted him to mark up on brakemans board, they needed men, so he did & left on Wilder local at 3: We were going to Gails.
At 3:30 Gene 0 Dean & Dale left for Nyssa in Pick-up, he had a date & I iorned all afternoon.
At 9: Ivard called & said he was off but had run out of gas. I went & got him & we left his car at work & headed for Nyssa; got there at 9:45 & Lynda had supper all ready for us; Kids had eaten. We ate "Anchalatas"? mexican didn't see Gene, he stayed all nite. We came home at 11:30. Jerry stayed home in bed.

Gail - Lynda & Kids came & they played games & Jerry & I went to Caldwell & got my check from Simplots then we went & bought $35. worth of groc. & I signed up for unemployment. Came home & fixed supper but Gail didn't stay, they went over to Gene Haney's. We ate at 6: They came back about 9: & took Jackie home to stay all nite.
Ivard took Ray up to catch the 8:20 train for Salt Lake

Ivard went up to R.R. & made out a slip to float & went to work at 3: was home by 10:
I iorned 36 pieces while Ivard & Kids played games.
Ray went with bunch of Kids all afternoon playing basketball & over at Stake House decorating.
Dean fixed supper & we ate at 5: & him & Dale did dishes. Jerry came home & changed & went with a Kid until 11:30. Gene & Ray went to ball game & got home about 10:15.
We watched "A Tree grows in Brooklyn" lasted till 2: A.M. Dean, Dale & Jackie went to bed at 9:

no one woke up until 7:45. Ivard made a fire in fireplace & we opened our presents. We all really had a good Xmas.
Ivard & I cooked breakfast, bacon eggs, toast, cocoa & grapefruit, after we ate Dean & Gene did dishes & we got our things put up. Ivard got bumped but floated on 3: job got paid double & was home in couple of hrs.
We played games & records
We ate lunch supper & Ray & Jerry did dishes.
Jerry & Ray went to Murrys & Alices, then again that nite.
Gene went to Nyssa to Schulthies about 4: & got home after we were in bed.

We got laid off today for holidays & when they got back Jan. 7 there will only be about 50 with men. I doubt if I work again this season I read paper & went to bed. Jerry woke me up at noon to eat a hamberger he'd got at D.q. washed some cloths and about 3:30 Ivard & I & Jerry went up town & Jerry got his laways out. We got Gail & Lynda a 6 place setting of Melmar at Safeway for extra Xmas present. Got 16 volume set of Natural Science books for Dean.
When we got home Gene had left for Nyssa
We ate supper & Jerry went Carroling.
Ray worked 5:30 to 10:
Kids got out of school for holidays

We got to Rexburg at 3: A.M & woke Kids up & headed back home & it was real foggy all the way. We got home at 9:30 & got Jackie & headed for Nyssa. never even stoped for anything to eat. We took Philips home & went on to Gails & took their Xmas presents then Gene took Marvin home. We went to store & got a bunch of groc., a ham & turkey, for holidays. when we got back Lynda had dinner ready & we ate & left for home. got here at 3: & I went to bed until time to go to work.
Jerry went to deliver M-Men gleaner needy family basket

Came home at 12:30 & woke me up with a drink then Ivard got Jackie to sleep out in front room & he came to bed awhile. He left for work at 3:45 & I washed a batch of cloths & dried over stove & cleaned up a little. Dale came home & got money & went to Cub Scouts, Dean went to cub S. from school, hes new den chief.
Ray came home & watched T.V. & him & Jerry went to Boise Xmas shopping for M-Men Gleaner needy family. Ivard got off work at 9:00 & I took his cloths up & we headed for Rexburg to get Kids it was foggy nearly all the way. I laid off.

Got up & fixed breakfast & Jerry & I took Dale up town & bought him basketball shoes, sock & shorts for little legue ball & a pr. new sunday shoes. got Mother;s Xmas present & a few other things & came home & Ivard took Dale to play ball & droped Jackie off at Brenda Pallison's birthday Party. They brought her home.
I made out payment & worked on my books all afternoon & at 6: Jerry & I went up town & Paid Alexanders on Genes cloths & mailed payments.
Ivard went to work at 4:
We ate & watched T.V.

Ray worked at D.Q. all day & Jerry worked 6: to close.

I came home from work & ate & read paper & Ivard went up & got his check biggest hes got for years. $346. I figured out what to do with it then Ivard and I Jerry & Jackie went to bank & paid some bills then we went to Caldwell & put $20. in Kays Savings account for his birthday & Xmas & got Dale a watch at Gold Strike center then we went to Boise & had dinner at "Louies", chow mein, then we went Xmas shopping all afternoon it was 6: when we got back to Nampa & I was dead so we stoped at Dairy q. & had supper & Ivard went down & brought Dean & Dale up too. Ray was working - till close.
Came home & had dire in fire place & watched T.V. I went to bed at 10:30 - I was dead.

I came home from work & ate, read paper & watched T.V. messed around until 11: then took Jerry to work at D.Q. & we went on over to Nyssa to see Gail but they weren't home. We went up town & bought groc & 15 lbs butter then went to Gails & waited awhile but they didn't show up so we came home. drove out past Blanch's but their car wasnt there, got home at 3:30 & I went to bed until time to go to work.
Ivards day off.

Dale went to cub scouts after school then tonite Jerry droped him & Dean off at church to Pack meeting on his way to M-Men & gleaners. Ray went to play basketball.

I fixed breakfast & washed up all the dirty cloths & changed my bed. Ivard cleaned our room & I helped him make bed.
Ivard went & got a hair cut & drive shaft broke on pick-up so he had Dobbs tow him in & they fixed it.
I iorned all afternoon & Jerry took Dale Xmas shopping.
Dean scrubbed & cleaned house & changed furniture around.
Ray worked at D.Q. 10: to 6:

I came home from work a half hr. late, made the riders waite out in cold & fog while I borrowed $350. from Simplot Credit Union. I read paper & ate & washed some cloths & Jerry wrapped presents & tended Jackie while Ivard & I went to bank, Pd. Hales & bills then we went to Caldwell & put $7. worth of dimes in my bank & went to S&H & Gold Strike Center & got some Xmas Presents. We went to Bullocks in Nampa & bought Ray a gold watch & band for Xmas & Gene a new watch band. Got Dean a Elgin watch with Stamps. Came home & I laid down a couple of hrs but couldn't sleep, Ivards back on brakeman board, missed

Ray went to foot Dr. after school.
Jerry made a beef stew & I made biscuits & put on top & we ate at 4:30.

He made so much noise in closet he woke me up at 12:30 & that was all the sleep I got today, 2 1/2 hrs & none yesterday. I dranke tea & I was so hoped up I couldn't. I got up & helped get Jackie ready & Ivard took her to Primary on his way to work. Jerry met Ray at 3:30 & took him to Dr. & had his stitches taken out of his feet then they went shopping until time to get Jackie & Dale.

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed at 9:30. Ivard was to work. Jerry tended Jackie & they went up town.
I got up at 3: & took Jackie to dance class. Mrs Kotter called after we got there & I went & got Melissa, it still wasn't started we were We were there 2 hrs came home & Jerry had supper ready & we ate & Ivard took Ray yp to Dairy Q to work, 6: till close, first time back since he had his feet operated On.
Jerry went to Middleton to M-Men Gleaners with Mrs Murry.
I went to bed until time to go to work.

I got up & fixed breakfast & Dean & Dale went to school. Ray went back today, Jerry took him up.
I don't feel good, didn't do anything all day - played Scrabble with Jerry & with Ivard.
Jerry went card selling awhile
Ivard dug up water & went up town & got new shut off & got it fixed. I addressed Xmas cards
fixed supper & we ate when Kids got home. Ray went to Dr. & had his bandages changed.

I went to bed until time to go to work. I still don't feel very good.

I got up at 4:15 A.M. & fixed Gene & Marvin breakfast & at 4:35 Kotters came & took them & Kurt to Boise to catch the bus for Rex burg.
Ivard got up & did chores & took Ray & Dean to Priesthood & went up to Rail Road & placed himself on Herder job. He came home & got ready & him & Dale went to Sunday school. I read paper in bed. Got up at 10:30. I washed my hair in Clairall to wash away the grey.
Jerry worked at D.Q. 11: to 5:
Dean went home with Perrys until after church. We ate & Ray & Dale did dishes. Ivard went to work at 3: Ray did lessons & went & got Jerry at 5: & brought us a drink They all went to church & Jackie & I went to bed. I laid off, didn't feel like going to work.

Jerry made waffles for breakfast & I cooked them. He wasn't going to work until 6: but they called him at 10:30 & he worked till 7:30
I changed my bed & washed it & did up all the other cloths. Gene, Ray, Dean & Dale went & had hair cut then we ate lunch & Dean cleaned house. I iorned all afternoon.
Gene drove me up town & got his bus ticket for Rex burg, groc, & stuff at drug store. We ate at 6: & they did dishes & we watched T.V. Marvin Haney came & stayed all nite to go back to Rex burg early in morning.
Ivard got home at 9: from New Meadows & went right to ed, been drinking. We all went to bed about 10:30 after I packed Genes suitcase. My last nite off. Ivard got cut off brakemens board.

I came home from work & Ivard was gone breaking to New Medows until tomorrow nite. We have the next 4 nites off. I went to bed from 9:30 to 11: & got up & took Jerry up to D.Q. to work & Jackied tended Ray. I went & got $25. worth of groc. got a 16 lb. turkey. Came home & Sis & I ground crabberries & made relish & ground bread crumbs & made 3 big carrot puddings.
Dale went to Cub Scouts.
Mrs. Kotter called & said Gene had hitch hiked home so I called Rexburg but Mrs. Peterson said he left Monday then I was worried. I called Marion & she said they came Monday nite with Roger. Gene just walked in while I was talking so I talked to him. Went to bed early.

At 4: Jerry fixed supper & we ate & at 5: I took Ray up to Dr. Clusters office & he operated on both of his big toes for ingrown toe nail, took a big hunk out of each side of his big toe, Proud flesh & toe nail root, froze them. It was 7: time he was through & nearly 8: time we got Perscriptions & got home. I went to bed until time to go to work & Jerry tended Ray all N.

I came home from work & read paper & got ready & Jerry, Sis & I went up to bank & got $119. worth of Parking Meter dimes & went through them for my collection, got 6 I needed & another book of Roosevelt's all but 3 & about 15 that are worth 25 cents or more. We were just bagging the last of them when Gail came & stayed all afternoon. They left at 3: & we dashed up to bank & took dimes back & Jerry went one way & me another & got all the bills paid & I took him to work at D.Q. at 3:30 & Picked Ray up & took to Foot Dr. He thought he was going to have them operated on but he still had a little infection, will do it Monday. We droped in at our ward Bizzar & Ray stayed & I came home & went to bed at 6:30. Dean had Sat. work done. Ivard was gone to New Meadows for 2 days breaking when I got home this morning.

Ivard came home for lunch & ran out of gas by D.Q. & I had to go push him to station. My nite off. Ray went & had tooth out at 6: & Jerry finished for him.

Jerry took his car back to Caldwell & gave it back to them because they wouldn't fix it. Ivard & Jackie went & got him.

I got up at 2:30 & Ivard went to work at 3:30 & I took Jackie to Dancing class, after I brought her home & went & got gas & groc. & went & voted then went to D.Q. & had hamberger & fries & drink & brought Kids home a hamberger then I went to hospital to see Lynda & baby, looks like the rest of them.
Jerry & Ivard went & voted then Jerry went & worked at D.Q. 1: to 10:, worked for Ray & some one else.
I came home at 8: & went to bed till work.

Dean went collecting Fast offerings then to Priesthood, S.S. & testimoy meeting. After church we all went & had a Polio shot (3 drops on lump of Sugar), first one - Ivard & I, Dean Dale & Jackie.
We ate dinner & Ivard & I went to store & went to Dairy q & had drink & gave Ray his slip to go have Shot after work.
Got books up. No church tonite.
Ivards day off.
Ivard & I went to bed at 6: & I went to work at 11:15

We got up at 4:30 AM & Ivard & I, Dean, Dale & Jackie left for Rexburg at 4:50. We stoped in Arco & had breakfast & got gas & got to Gene's at 11: but he had already gone to gym to rest before game. Marvin gave us our tickets Gene had got us. We went & had drink & went to game, started at 1:30 today. Beautiful warm sunny day.
B.J.C. beat Ricks 23 to 14. Gene got hurt just as game ended. He realed off field & they laid him out & gave him a shot, his back. Carried him off on stretcher. We went up to gym & Ivard went in for about hr. & Gene walked out with him. We took him & Marv down to where they eat & we went & ate then sat out in front of Genes & talked awhile left for homeat 7: got home at 12:30. Ray worked all day & stayed at Kotters.

Ivard bid on a day job, vacation vacancy for 2 weeks & worked his first day today, came home for lunch.
I washed cloths all day & changed beds & iorned all afternoon.
I tried on dress Mother gave me for my birthday & she shortened it in waiste & put zipper in Jackies new jumper I made her.
We ate at 4: when Kids came from school & at 4:30 Jerry left for Utah & took Mother home. 3 girls went with him too.

Mother is going home tomorrow so I laid off & we visited tonite & watched T.V.

Jackie was 6 today. We went to Bank & Pd bills
I came home from work & Ivard had Kettle of beans on for chilli. We cleaned up & washed some cloths & at 10: Ivard, Jackie & I went to Boise & got a army cot mattress at Army surplus store for Jackie a mat for dance & got her a record case & dance record & some gifts for each girl for party. Went up to Aunt Venes & got Mother & came home & she made chilli & Ivard & I went & got cake sheet cake all decorated for haloween big enough to cut 48 pieces, got orange J. & icecream & came home & Ivard went to work. Had 8 girls at Party. Sis was really surprised.
At 4: to 6: We had a surprise Party for Jackie. Ray took a lot of colored Pictures & we ate & opened presents & he took Kids home. Gail came & brought Debbie then we had supper & him & Lynda took Kids Trick or treeting. I went to bed at 8: till time to go to work

Jackie played in by my bed & I went to bed at 9:45 & got up at 11:30 & had dinner all on the table when they got home at 12:20. Jerry didn't come home for lunch. They all went back to Conference & took Jackie & I went to bed at 1:10 to 4:10 when they got home.
Jerry came home a min then had to go make arrangement for a 5 Stake Fireside tonite.
We visited awhile & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Ivards day off & he got called breaking at 7:30 A.M. then they were only gone 6 hrs & he had to float at 4:, no men.

Jerry went hunting Job all day came home at 3: & he took Jackie to Primary.
Dean got 6 1's on report card & got on Honor Roll. Dale got 5 1's.
Dean fixed supper & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Gail - Lynda & Kids came about 5: & Dean fixed supper & we ate then I rode up town with them to get groc. they bought root beer & we took home & drank & they went home at 8:30.
Jerry went job hunting all day & to Stake house tonite & so did Ray.
I went to bed at 8:30 until time to go to work.

I went & got Ray & he went to Stake House to Youth Conference at 7:, it started at 3: Jerry went this afternoon. They had movie actor Roberta Shore & Ray danced 2 times with her. My nite off, watched T.V.

I came home & gathered up cloths & rugs & washed 6 batches. My dryer is broke & I got them all dried outside.
Ivard painted outside & worked around most of day.
We went up town & paid P.F.C. & had a drink at D.Q.

Jerrys car is in garage so I went & got him at 6: & he went right to work at D.Q. till 10: Ray worked 3:30 to 6:30 & went to Boise to game
I came home & went to bed at 6:30. I was half dead. My nite off. Dean woke me at 10: & I went & got Jerry & went back to bed.

I came home so cold & tired from work that I went to bed instead of going to relief society. I went to bed at 9:30 & got up at 2:30 & got ready & took Jackie to her dancing lesson at 3:30. after we went to Safeways & got groc. then to ALbertsons. stoped at D.Q. & had drink & came home & got Rays shirt & took him & ordered frieds & picked them up after I went & got milk. There wasn't any Church this morning on account of Conference, we saw it on T.V. & ball game.
We had supper & I had a shower & Jackie & I went to bed at 7: I was tired.
Kids went to church.
I got up at 10:30 & got ready & went back to work.
Kay sent me a llama rug, small, & slippers & a woven perse & knitting bag & Jackie a Perse for our birthday.

Jerry went to Salt Lake / Got letter from Lyle
got up & left Ruth & Rays in Bountiful at 5:45, for Rexburg. It was real cloudy & some snow on tops of mountains had rained some. Ivard drove to Pocatello & we stoped at "Fred & Kellys" & had breakfast. I drove from there to Rexburg. got there at 11:15 & visited up in Genes room with him till he left for foot ball game at 12:15. Kurt came up & visited awhile. They tied College of Southern Utah 7 to 7. Gene intercepted a pass & ran 35 yds for touch down. after game we droped Gene & Marv off where they eat & we went & ate then we sat & visited in car, for about an hr. & We left for home about 7:
We rode most of way home & never spoke. Ivard never talks to me. Got home at midnite & Jerry had gone to Utah to Conference in afternoon. Ray was to dance in Boise.

Ivard & Marv went over to Irv's store first & got us all in a pot & I won $3. after the game we went over to Irvins & visited awhile & I got some things in store for Gene then we left Jackie to play with girls awhile & went up & saw Don Beezer's new $30,000 home hes building & went to Grand Central & got some things on sale. got Gene a corn Popper. We & got Jackie & went up to Ruth & Rays & had supper & Ivard & Ray went to Bouniful-Davis came. I washed my & Jackies hair & I had a bath & gathered up our things & told Berniece goodbye, & at 10: we left for American Fork to see Donna she wasn't there when we got there so we drove down & looked at Utah Lake & took a Picture, first time I'd ever seen it. Came back & Donna was home & she fixed us lunch & we visited then Dean came & we watched ball game on T.V. Had a big Steak supper & Donna & Kids had to go to Mutual so we watched T.V. with Dean. When Donna got home we visited awhile & went to bed.

We had supper, I went & got us a milk shake to eat with it, then we went over to Berniece's awhile Ivard tended baby while they went to Mrs. Palmers birthday then I went back over & visited with Mother while she got ready to go to conference tomorrow

We had supper & Mother went to a meeting, shes new Social Science leader in Stake Relief Society. Berniece tended Kids. Ken was to work and we took Kent & Curtis to Toolle & they took us to show, "Bon Voyage," real good. We got home at 11: & everyone was in bed. We went to bed.

left for Salt Lake
We got up at 8: & had a shower & went up & Ivard went up & got Gene & Marvin out of bed at 9:30, while he was up there, Kurt came so we took all three of them to breakfast then came back & sat out in car & talked for hr. then we drove down to Menan & took picture of mothers old house then went to Morley & Minnies & she was just about ready for dinner so we ate then she took us over to Cemetary & saw dads new headstone & Jackie took a movie of it. We went back to Aunt Minnies & visited awhile & Bud came over then we left for Salt Lake at 4: We stoped in Brigham City & ate supper & got down to Bountiful about 9:30 & went to Ruth & Rays & visited until about 11:30 & went to bed.
I called Claudia as soon as we got there, she'd already sent my birthday pkg. from Kay, the day before.

Ivard, Jackie & I got up at 4: AM & left for Rexburg to see Gene play ball. We stoped at Arco & had a good breakfast. We got to Rexburg at 10: & went up & got Gene & Marv. out of bed then we went up to domitory & took some stuff to Kurt, his mother sent, & they went in & played Ping Pong & I sat in car and crocheted.
We went back down to Genes & changed cloths & at 1: we went down to foot ball field & sat till time for game. It was sunny & nice but a cold wind. Gene got to play quite a bit. They beat Carbon College 7 to 6. We waited for Gene after then we went down town & had supper then we went & got a Motel & turned on the heat & visited & watched T.V. I was so tired I couldn't Keep awake I got Jackie to bed, they brought her in a roll-away, & Ivard & Gene watched the fight. I went to bed & Ivard took Gene back to his room. Took Sheri Buell's stuff up after Kurts.

Got letter from Claudia. Jerry gave me the latest genelogy book for my birthday, before we left.
I came home from work, we have next 2 nites of, I took a week off. I was so tired I went to bed until 10:30 then I got up & washed cloths.
Ivard painted outside some but it rained on & off all day.
At 4: Ivard went up to high S. to foot ball game & at 4:30 I took Jackie up to Dr. Ross, she has infintago above her eye, we went to drug store & got her some medecine then I took her to Wards & got her 2 pr. new shoes & Dean a sweater & 2 pr. pants on sale. Then we went to Hales & got a duel control Westinghouse electric blanket & had gift wrapped to take mother for her birthday. Came home & they'd eaten, so we had a piece of pie. Ray worked from 4: to 6: then he went up to High S. game Ivard & Dean went to home comeing & Jerry went away. I iorned & packed ready to go on our trip. Mrs Kotter came at 11:30 & brought stuff for us to take Kurt. Jerry brought us a drink from D.Q.

Got letter from Mother
I came home from work & went to bed & slept until 1:30 then I got up & washed some cloths and we went up town & paid bills & went to Safeway & Albertsons & bought $28. worth of groc., came home & Dean got supper & I made 3 lemon pies and Ivard defrosted the freezer drawer, after he came back from takeing Dale to barber.
We ate and Jerry went to M Men-Gleaners & I went to bed until time to go to work.
Ray went to play ball. Ivard didn't feel good & didn't paint today.
I went to work at 11:15.
Rained on & off today

Ray didn't have to work so him, Ivard & Dean went to Barber Shop & all got a hair cut. Dale was at cub Scouts.
Jerry came & we ate & Jerry was on phone half the nite. I went to bed but couldn't go to sleep, I guess the rest did me some good.
I went to work at 11:20.

sunny - warm - beautiful day.
I came home from work half dead - work us like slaves. I went to bed after I read paper, 9:30 phone woke me up at 12: & I got up & washed a batch of cloths.
Ivard painted on outside of garage until he run out of paint then he & Jackie took car up to Don Bourn's & got greese job, anti freeze, oil change & put on a new fuel pump.
Ila Hatch called & said Jackies dance class was at 3:30, couldn't get us for last week, I called Ivard & he came & took us then went & finished car.
Ray worked at D.Q. 6: to 11:30, I took him up. Ivard & Dean got supper & we ate & Jerry went to M Men - Gleaners. I went to bed at 7: till time to go to work.

First day of Ivards 2 week vacatio

Got new dress from Mother for my Birthday
wonderful day.
I came home from work and changed the Kids beds & washed 5 batches of cloths & at 1: I went to bed & Ivard went with me awhile and rubbed my legs & back, I was so tired. I got up at 4: & got cloths in & helped Dean make beds & get supper.
Ivard painted the rest of the house on outside, just has woodwork left to do. Today was first day of his 2 week vacation. he wrote to Gene. Mother sent me a Nylon Jersey dress for my birthday
Ivard went up & pd. $100. to Webster Caldwell for fileing 1959 Income tax, he took it to court & that cost us another 3.60.
Kids went to Mutual & I went to bed at 6:30 but never did go to sleep.
Ray worked at D.Q. 4: to 6:

Ivard - Jerry & Dean went to Priesthood & Ivard came & got little Kids for S.S. they got home at 1:30 & Jerry went right on over to Stake House to priesthood meeting.
Ray worked at D.Q. 9:30 to 6:

Ivard went up to P.F.C & borrowed 523. & I went up to bank with him & paid car off. We got enough to pay Ins on car, go to Utah. Pay off Webster Caldwell. Came home & cooked supper & Ivard painted some more then went up to bank at 5:30 & got me a bag of Parking Meter Dimes, $120.50. We ate & Ivard & Dean went to foot ball game & Jerry went away.
Ray worked at D.Q. 4: to 6: then went to game & dance.
Ivards nite off. I went through all my dimes 1205 & got 75 for me collection. I just laid down at 10: when Ivard came & said he was out of gas so I took him after some, came home & got ready & went to work.

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed at 9:30. Ray stayed home sick again. He went up town at 4: & at 6: he went to work at D.Q. until closeing.
Jerry took Paint up & shook it up & brought it back, then he bought groc. & came home for lunch.
Ivard painted, outside then bathed & I got up at 2: & we went up & got cow money & pd. two months phone bill & put Kays money in bank. Ivard went to work at 3:50.
I fixed supper & went to bed until time to go to work.

Ray didn't have to work today. He went to Priesthood with Jerry - & Dean & Croft brought him home after sick has a bad cold, Doctored & went to bed. Ivard went to Priesthood in his car so he could get home early. I took Dale & Jackie to sunday school at 11:40. I made a big Kettle of chilli for dinner
I wrote to mother.
Ivard & Kids got home at 1: & went to store & got some chilli Powder & we ate at 1:20.
Ivard went to work at 3:50. Jerry went to work at D.Q. 5: till closeing.
Dean went to church with Bishop.

Ivard watched ball games all day but little while he went to court at 11: dumb old Webster Caldwell charged us $100. for rixing Income tax & we have to pay it in 10 days

I came home from work & Jerry was home from Utah, didn't get a job.
Ivard was to work. he came home for lunch & brought his check.
Jerry took Jackie to Boise with him so I could sleep but I didn't. I washed my bedding, bedspread & rugs & all the dirty cloths & rugs, 6 batches.
Jerry got home at 2:30 & tended Sis & I went to bank and paid bills. followed Ivard in yard at 4: he'd come home from work & bathed & been up to see Ray at D.Q. Ray came home at 6:30. We all went to church to ward reunion. Jackie wasn't supposed to go so Ivard & I were going to stay home with her but Bishop called & said to bring her. It was good, fried chicken, corn on cob, tomatoes, salad & pie, good programe. Came home at 9: & I went to bed - I was dead - My nite off. Ray didn't get home till 1:

It was Ivards day off but he floated. some one got hurt & he went at 1: & was home at 3:30 & I didn't even know it - Jackie watched T.V. Ivard tooker her to Primary & went & got them.

I came home from work and put a batch of cloths to wash & read paper & went to bed at 9:30. I woke up at 12:30 & couldn't go back to sleep. I got up at 3:30.
Ivard got bumped off his day job & went on 4:. He left at 3:45.
Kids came home & Dale went to Garners & Dean studied. I put cloths away & got books up & fixed out 3 Blacker contests & had a hamberger. Dean fixed him Dale & Jackie supper.
Ray didn't come home from school went to work until 10:

Kids came home & Dale went to Garners & Dean studied. I put cloths away & got books up & fixed out 3 Blacker contests & had a hamberger. Dean fixed him Dale & Jackie supper.

I came home from work at 8:30 & washed a batch of cloths & ate & at 9: I went to bed. It was Ivards day off & he hung out cloths & did dishes & tended Sis. They went up town & fixed Rays bike.
I never woke up until 4: then I got up & cooked supper & we ate at 5:30. Ray went & got some Softie & we had it with our peaches instead of cream.
Ray didn't have to work today. Ray & Dean did dishes & went to Mutual. I went back to bed at 7:30. Ivard got me up at 10:30 & I got ready and went to work, rode with the lady that takes Venice.
All the Kids were in bed asleep when I woke up.
I never woke up until 4: then I got up & cooked supper & we ate at 5:30. Ray went & got some Softie & we had it with our peaches instead of cream.

Ray went to work at 10: I rode up with Ivard to take him in Gene's car & took Dean to Priesthood then went to Rail R. & to Safeways & got groc. with some of Genes check Gail brought over yesterday.
Ivard took Dale & Jackie to S.S. in my car & got gas in it to go to work tonite. He came home & watched ball game & I fixed dinner. Ivard went & got Kids at 1:30 & we ate & Dean & Dale did dishes & I laid down awhile then Ivard & I played Scrabble Ivard went & got Ray at 5:

Ivard went to work & we ate & I washed cloths & Dean cleaned house. Washed Kitchen curtains & windows. Went up & bought a new blind for back door & little front room window & me a bra & Jackie 3 pr. cordory pants & sweat shirt on sale. When I got back Gail, Lynda & Kids were here, didn't stay long had to do business & Lynda was going to Washington with her mother. I iorned awhile.
Went up town & got rest of brackets for blinds they forgot to give me & got Jackie a new nylon pile winter coat $20. & pajamas, she went with me. Came home & Ivard was home & Dean had supper & we ate & watched Miss America pagent. Ray went to dance he worked 9:30 to 6: today.

Ivard went to work & Kids went to school then I got up and did some washing and spent all day patching & picking the rest of Genes cloths & tonite Ivard & I took his suit case down to Kotters for them to take him when they take Kurt tomorrow. Kurt came this morning to see about it. We visited a while.
Lyle & Clifford came & Lyle wanted me to order a part for pick-up, said it was blocked up over to Metcalfs, needs a new hub. I told him I didn't have any money. I was made & didn't talk to him so I don't know what he's going to do. They left.
Ray worked after school till 10: then went to school dance.
Ivard went to game, wanted me to but I was mad at him & it was too cold, Dean wouldn't go either. We watched T.V.
Plant was down tonite so didn't have to work.

Ivard went to work at 7:30.
I came home & Kids were all gone to school, passed Ray up the street. I went to bed for couple of hrs & Jackie watched T.V. I got up & washed cloths & did some more blankets.
About 2: here come Lyle, Barbra & Kids. Lyle told me Ivard had told him he could take pick-up to Calif. & use & I blew up. I go with out to pay payments & Ins & new tires then let them wear it out, They have their nerve to even ask. Ivard didn't get home by 4: so I went up town & their him & Lyle were getting new tires on Genes old wreck for Ivard to use. I blew up & told them off. Came home & went to bed. Ivard got some groc. & helped Dean feed them & they went back to Metcalfs. They made so much noise I couldn't sleep so I got up & laid off. I was too sick anyway. I guess Lyle spent 60. on tires & stuff but that would have gone a long way fixing his up & he was only supposed to keep ours a month.

I started back to Simplots
Ivard went to work at 7:20. I got up at 7: & went & got milk & fixed breakfast & got Kids off to school. I changed beds & washed 8 batches & iorned 51 pieces.
Ray went to work from school & got off at 10:
Lyle came over when Joe took a load to Boise at 3: & stayed until he came back at 9:
I fixed supper & we ate & at 6: I went to bed but never did get to sleep. I got up at 10:30 & got ready & rode to work with the Melba bunch. I was sure tired
I hate the thoughts of going back.

Came home from Rexburg
We got up at 8: & went to Resturant & had breakfast then we went up to Mrs. Peterson, where Gene is going to stay & Put all his cloths in his room, the same room Kay had, then we went up to school & Ivard & Gene went in & got Gene's foot ball suit. Mr. & Mrs. Phillips from Parma brought Dave & we spent our time with them, watched Kids practice & took Daves stuff up to Domitory then at 3: we went & got gas & took Gene back to his room & we left for home. We stoped in Arco & ate/ It was 9:30 when we got home. Ray & Dean were in bed. Ray worked today
We went right to bed.

We took Gene to Rexburg to go to school
Gene got up & went over to Adrian & got the rest of his things from Gails & went to church.
Ray didn't work today. Ivards day off They all went to Priesthood sunday school. Ivard & Jackie didn't stay to Testimony meeting.
I washed Genes cloths & iorned & marked them & packed & we ate at 3: & at 3:45 Ivard & I, Dale & Jackie took Gene to Rexburg to go to school. We stoped at Wally Bryson's & got $50. on what he owes us. We got up to Rexburg at 10:15 & got a motel, 2 rooms & 3 beds. It was real cool. We got ready & went right to bed
left Ray & Dean home alone.

I fixed breakfast & we ate and I spent all morning washing cloths. Gail took Dean & Dale up to get hair cut when they went home at noon & at 1: I went up & picked them up & bought Dales school paper. Came home & Gene was back from their 2nd hunting trip & we went up to Alexanders & got a 90 day charge & I bought Gene $174. worth of school cloths, coat, pants, shoes, shirts, socks underwear & a metal suit case. He went & got hair cut & Ivard came & met us & we went & got new tire on car & Gene, took pick-up home.
Went up tonite & filled car with gas.
We ate & watched T.V. Gene & Ray went away. Ivard & Gene loaded up our extra chairs, bed & table to take Gail. He took out bankruptcy & lost every thing.

I got up at 7: & read paper. Ivard left for work at 7:15.
I cooked breakfast & we ate & at 9: Dale, Jackie & I left to take Lyle back to Metcalfs. We got back to Nampa at 11:45 (stoped in Caldwell & put my dimes in bank & Rays tips in) & gave Ivard his lunch & got his check then we went to D.Q. & had lunch & I brought Kids home & figured out money then I went up & pd place & Hales & at 2:30 I went to Superior Western & had my hair cut, tint & set. It was 5:30 when I got out. Came home & fixed a bite & here come Gail & Gene & all the Kids to stay all nite. I'll go crazy. Just got rid of one mad house & thought I'd have a few min. peace & quiet. Gene cleaned up & we took him down to Kotters. Ray came from work & went up shopping. Went to bed early. Ivard & Gail fixed them a bed.

I got up & made waffeles & we ate at 10:, didn't even hear Ivard go to work at 7:15 A.M. no one got up.
I worked on my books & Lyle copied genelogy. Barbra streightened up & Dean did dishes
Ray had to work 9:30 to 6: for Judy, it was his day off.
I went & signed up at 2: & stoped at D.Q. & had drink & talked to Edith & Ray awhile.
Got supper & we ate out on lawn at 4: Dean & Dale did dishes. We played Penochle then They play Exaltation with Kids.
Ward teachers came. I gave all of Lyles Kids a pr. of new pajamas & we got them to bed & played penochle until until 11:30. Barbra sent Ray up & got us a milk Shake. Ray soaked his feet.

Ivard went to work at 7:15 I got up & finished the tomatoe juice I cooked last nite. Got 50 qts juice & 28 qts tomatoes.
I got breakfast & we ate & Dean did dishes & Barbra cleaned up the house, Lyle copied genelogy.
I washed a batch of cloths & at noon Dean & I went up town & got him some shoes & socks & Lyles Kids each a pr. of pajamas. Went to D.Q. & had drink & hamberger. Came home & fixed barbacue, bought $26. worth of groc, & we ate out on lawn. We got ready & picked Ray up at work at 6: & we all went to Boise to State Fair. The ice follies were pretty good. It was cold. Went on couple of rides & had hot dog & waited half hr for Ray, got home at midnite

Ray was supposed to get home to go to work this morning but missed the train.
Ivard went to work at 7:30 A.M.
I spent all day doing tomatoe juice & stoped & cooked supper & we ate at 4: when Ivard got home. Then I put the last of tomatoes on to cook to run through for juice in the morning (4 kettles.
I just got in working on my books when Lyle, Barbra & all the Kids came again. I didn't even go out for a hr & a half., I was busy. Dean fed them & they were bathing Kids all evening & getting them to bed.
Ivard went to a genelogy meeting at church.
