wrote Jerry - Kay & I Jackie went to Utah

Ivard went to work at 8: & I took him & he got check, Then I parked & wrote to Jerry & when bank opened I got a bank draft & sent him his money then I paid bills.

I went & had my hair done at Pecock at 9: then went to Primary & Dean pinned a pin on me, they went with Barlows.

I went to Simplots & got my check. came home about 1: & washed cloths.

Kay worked & Kids did beets

I went in & got Ivard at 3:30 & we got a new tire on car, fan belt & went & had a cool then we got icecream & stuff for punch.

Kay came home & washed car & had bath & packed. I iorned, we ate & I had bath & packed. Fran. & Jimmy came at 7: & at 9:45. They went to Utah with Kay - Jackie & I. drove slow.

Wednesday, June 29, 1960

Kay went to work at 7:30 & Kids did beets.

I had a bath & went in & got Leva & we went to Boise to Dr. I lost 9 lbs in 3 week. He just raved, said I was his best pupil, said it was fantastic. Came back to Nampa & took Helen Kotter some diet sheets & came home & Dean had dinner and we ate & at 1:30 I went & signed up for unemployment then went to sewing class at 2: until 4:30. got groc. & came home.

Ivard & Gene went to dentist at 9: & after Ivard had hair cut. Dentist cut his mouth all open again on top & sewed it up after fileing bone.

We ate supper and Ivard and I went to Givan's swimming came home at 10: & watched T.V. until it went off air.

We took Ray in to pass hand bills at 6: & Kay went & got him at dark.

Tuesday, June 28, 1960

Kay went to work before I was up & Kids & Ivard did beets until noon.

I washed 4 batches & got dinner & finished my book "The Green Years" & "Shannon Way"

I iorned all afternoon & Ivard & Kids slept. then at 4:30 Ivard & I & little Kids went to town to get a water tap & a spring for mower. came home & at 8: Ivard went to bed. We ate & I worked on my books until 10:45.

Jackie was a half mile up road, to Schrolls tonite hunting her little dog, its in heat & followed a big dog up road. She was crying shen Kids got her. It came back.

Ivard didn't work again.

Monday, June 27, 1960

Ivard finished planting garden.

Kay went to work before I was up. Gene went over to Wallys & then they did beets until noon.

I changed all the beds & sorted cloths & washed 6 batches & read & got dinner.

got cloths in & put away & Ray made beds & we iorned some.

We had a dish of icecream & all of us went over to Melba & played ball, the Kids won & so did Ivard but it was a forfite because all their players werent there on time. We got home at 11: & had icecream & went to bed.

Gene didn't have to go to Wallys tonite he got home.

Ivard didn't work again.

Sunday, June 26, 1960

Ray stayed in to Kotters all day & came home with Pendeltons after fireside.

Ivard didn't work.

Debbie & Jackie woke up about 6: & got dressed & were just leaving on a hike when Gene got home from Wallys. We had to watch them like a hawk, they were determined to go. We finally promised them they could go to park for hike.

Ivard, Gene, Kay & Ray went to Priesthood & Ivard & Kay & Gene came home after, me & Kids went to sunday school & Dean brought Mike Perry home.

I made barbacue & trimmings & we ate out on lawn when Gail & Lynda came then Ivard & I & Gail & Lynda took Jackie & Debbie in to Park & they all went walking but me & I read & watched baby. Went to rail road & saw gold fish. came home & Dwaine & Nancy were here.

Kay took all the Kids to church & Gail left right after. Watched T.V.

Saturday, June 25, 1960

Jerry sent 4 Kids a post card & me

Ivard came home from work & cultivated. Kay went to work & Kids did beets until noon. I washed cloths & got dinner. Ivard came in at 11: & bathed & I bathed & got ready & we to Nyssa to funeral home & saw Phylis then we went & got Gail & Lynda & went to Stake house to funeral, sure a big one went up to Cemetary & visited every one. took Gail home & had strawberry short cake We brought Debbie home to stay all night got home about 7: I watched T.V. until it went off the air.

Ivard went to bed early he didn't work today.

Gene went over to Wallys this morning & tonite.

Gene took a girl to Stake Dance, with with John.

Friday, June 24, 1960

We got through at 7: AM & got laid off until fall. I came home & got dinner. Kay came home for dinner.

Kids did beets until noon. I washed some cloths & read paper.

Jackie & I went to bed for nap & Ivard & Kids hauled hay. I got up at 3:30 & Dean & I went to Caldwell to opening of new Albertsons. We went to 4 stores & got their bargains. We were out of everything. Had to borrow the $30. I spent from Gene & Kay. Came home & made barbacue & got supper I went to bed early. Ivard went to work at 11:30.

Gene went to Wally this morning & tonite.

Thursday, June 23, 1960

We got laid off this morning until fall. I didn't tell anyone. I washed & got dinner ready Kay worked up to Akers.

I laid down an hr. & got Jackie to sleep then I got up & embroideried mike on 2 hankys & at 2: took Dean in to Perrys to Mikes birthday party. Mrs. Perry brought him home.

Kids did beets this morning, & some other Kids.

I went in with Ivard to get 2 cultivator disks & he cultivated corn.

Gene went over to Wallys tonite. They hauled hay in afternoon.

We watched T.V. & just got to bed at 10: when I got called back to Simplots for a pkg. line to finish up. I just hung up & Ivard got called for 11:

Wednesday, June 22, 1960

Gail came over & took Pick-up & left his car for few days. Told us Phyllis Bair Mitchell got Killed. Kay went to Bishops to a Priest Party & I took Gene over when he got home from Wallys.

I came home from work & Ivard was to work at Nampa. Kids did beets until noon. Kay went in & got them some long handles for hoes & a new one, it broke as soon as they used it.

I got dinner & Kay went to work this afternoon up by Max's. I laid down awhile then went in to my sewing lesson all afternoon got some groc. & returned hoe & got my money back.

I came home at 5:30 & Ivard wasn't home yet, he came in a little while, he'd gone to Boise after work & got his lantern & stamp.

We ate & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Ivard & Kids watched T.V.

Gene went over to Wallys to help set water & see how to milk.

Tuesday, June 21, 1960

got letter from Jerry

I came home from work & Ivard had just got home & Gene had gone to work up by Max's.

I washed a batch of cloths & ate & at 9:30 Ivard & I went to bed & loved.

Ray & John Popelton were out doing beets.

Kay didn't work today, he got dinner they got me up at 1: to eat & Gene went back to work. Ivard got up after we were done & watered lawn & planted garden. Kids didn't do beets this afternoon. Jackie & I went back to bed at 2: & I got up at 4:30 & washed a batch of cloths & got books up. Jackie & I went to bed at 8: & Ivard & Kids went to play ball. I went to work at 11:15. Ivard didn't work.

Monday, June 20, 1960

I got up & sorted & gathered up cloths.

Gene went up by Max's to work & Kay went over to Henni & finished hay about 1:30.

Ivard came home from Boise & baled hay all day & finished, all but 1/2 row ran out of string.

I washed cloths all day & got dinner.

Ray, Dean, & John Popelton did beets until noon.

Ray made bets & got dishes done. Dean & Dale put away cloths.

We had Jello & Ivard & I went to bed at 5: I never could go to sleep, too noisy. Ivard got up & listened to fights then came back to bed. He left for Boise at 10:30 I left for Simplots at 11:

Sunday, June 19, 1960

I got up at 10: & Gene & Kay & Ray were just leaving for priesthood, Ivard didn't go I was mad at him & never spoke to him all day.

I got ready & Dean, Dale & I went to sunday school & Jackie stayed home with Ivard.

Got groc & came home & fixed hambergers & all the trimmings & made punch & ate out on lawn.

Gail, Lynda & Kids came right after we got home & gave Ivard a set of allen wrenches & the Kids gave him a good set of Badminton & a brief case with his name on. Gail went home at 5:

Ivard got called to Boise for 11:30. I didnt have to work.

Saturday, June 18, 1960

I stoped to last lite in Caldwell & car stoped on me & I had to get pushed so I took Venice home & went back to Dobbs & had a new battery & new points put in. I got hom at 10: & Ivard was home.

Kay was over to Hennis's & all the Kids hoed beets. I got dinner & washed some cloths.

Ivard went to check water at 10:30 & went on to town instead of baleing hay I called Stockman at 4:15 & he said he'd be home in 15 min. It was 6:30 when he came & I was so mad I wouldn't speak to him. He'd been over to Calwell sale & seeing Art Jerome until 4: I found out later. Jackie & I had a nap & Simplots called & said not to come. Gene did chores & bathed & I took him to Poppletons to stay all nite & go to show & I got groc. & went to Drive Inn & saw 2 shows. Got home at 1:00 A.M.

Ivard got father Day card from Lyle & Jerry

I came home from work & Ivard drove in right after me. I read paper & washed 3 batches of cloths & made a meat pie with biscuits on top, for dinner.

Ivard helped Gene get rake on & went to bed.

Gene got hay raked & Ray & Dean hoed beets. When Kay came home from working at Hennis's at 12:30 we ate & he went back to work.

Ivard, Jackie, & I went to bed & at 3:45 Ivard got up & went out & helped Kids hoe beets & I hung out cloths & worked on books. Gene did chores & Ray made cake & fixed supper. Kay came home & bathed & went in to church to go on sunday school party then called & said car stoped on him so Ivard & Dale went in to see about it.

I went to bed until time to go to work Ivard went to work too. Car stoped on me & I had to get pushed

Thursday, June 16, 1960

I came home from work & Ivard had taken Gene & Ray over to Wally to work, their last day, each earned $25. got paid. He took Kay to Hennis's to work in hay and he went to work at Rail Road at 8: A.M.

Jackie & I went to bed at 9:30 & Mrs Barlow came & took Dean & Dale to Primary.

I got up at noon & went & got Kay & fixed dinner then I went back to bed & Dean & Dale tended Jackie.

Ivard got home at 5:30, he took car to Dobbs & had plug put in motor.

Dean had potatoes on & hamberger cooked for gravy & I got up & made it & we ate when Kids got home.

At 6:30 I took Ray, Dean, Dale, & Jackie to Pix & saw "Greatest Show on Earth" home at 10: & laid down an hr & went to work. Ivard got called again & followed me in.

Wednesday, June 15, 1960

Ivard took Dean over to Smalls at 9:30 to go to camporee at Stake House all day.

I came home from work & Ivard Jackie Dale & I went to town & got Ivards check & paid bills & went to bank, paid taxes & got a new tire on the car. Ivard & Jackie had icecream cone.

Gene & Ray went over to Wallys working when I got home & Kay was at Max's, he got done until Monday.

Came home & fixed dinner & at 1:30 I went to town & signed up for unemployment then took car over to Dobbs & had oil change & greese job & new switch put on for tail lites. I read genelogy manuel while I waited. stoped at Albertsons & had drink & got groc. Came home & went to bed at 5: & they woke me up to eat then went back to bed until time to go to work. Ivard didn't work.

Tuesday, June 14, 1960

got letter from Lyle.

We got our Vacation check & I stoped on way home & got $12. worth of groc. then I had a bath & went in to Yorkensens at 10: to a relief society demonstration on barbacue cooking & we really had a good dinner. Came home at 2: & Jackie & I went to bed.

Gene & Ray worked over to Wallys all day, got home at 7:30

When I woke up at 6: Ivard had gone to work, he cut hay all morning.

I got supper & went back to bed at 7: until time to go to work.

I went after Kay at 6:30 at Max's.

Monday, June 13, 1960

Ivard didn't work.
Ray went to Mutual

I had to get Ivard a baler part on way home from work then I took him over to Wally place to bale hay then he decided he needed gas so I came home & got 2 cans & when I got half way there one tiped over & spilled half of it, Ray didn't put lids on. I gave him gas & started to back out a long narrow road at bottom of field & one wheel went between the pipes in a ditch across the road so I waited for Ivard to come & get me out & he broke the oil seal on chain drive so he came & jacked car up & got it out & we went to Nampa but couldn't find one so we went to Caldwell & got it & had root beer. I left Ivard over there & came home & we ate & Kay took Genes dinner up to him, he worked at Max's & Kay never went until noon he went to employment office. Ray finished weeding flowers. Jackie & I went to bed but it was so hot. Ray woshed 6 batches & made beds.

Sunday, June 12, 1960

I came home from work & washed a batch of cloths & went to bed & Ray hung them out. Kay took pick-up & went over to see Pete Hammon & Stanley Mills all day, got home at 11: P.M.

Ivard, Gene & Ray went to Priesthood with Max.

I got up at 10:50 & had a bath & me & little Kids went to sunday school. Ivard went up to rail road during church & he had missed out this morning at 7:30 while he was out watering & Kids were asleep.

We got groc. & came home & I got dinner & we ate & Jackie & I went to bed. woke up at 7: & Gene, Ray & Dean were just leaving for church. Ivard & Jackie & I went to bed. I went to work at 11: Ivard didn't work.

Got card from Jerry

Today Jerry was 22 years old.

I came home from work at 8:30 & ate & went to bed.

Kay had gone up to Max's at 6: A.M.

Ivard & Gene watered & went over to Wallys & baled hay till they ran out of twine. then they came home & had dinner & Ivard woke me up for some money & he & Gene went & got baler twine. I ate & sorted cloths & washed a batch & Jackie & I went to bed at 2:30. & I got up at 6: & watched T.V. Ivard & Gene came at 6:30 & Kay at 7:30 Ivard check water & Gene did chores & Ray got supper, I worked on my books.

I laid down an hr. & went to work at 11:15.

Friday, June 10, 1960

went back to work at Simplots
Dale came home.

I got up at 5:30 & got breakfast & Kay & Gene went to work up to Max's. I washed cloths & iorned my curtains & got them up then iorned most all day.

Ray got dinner & we ate when Gene & Kay came. Ivard went over to Wallys after dinner & started baleing hay. At 2:30 we went & got him & took him to work at 3: passed Gail & he followed us in to work & took Jackie back home & he brought Dale home. We went to Caldwell & Ray & Dean got them a genelogy book. came home & Gail had gone home.

Ray weeded flowers & planted all our flower plants. When Kids came home Gene took Pick-up in for Ivard & I went & got him, after I had a bath then I went to bed had to go to work at Simplots.

Thursday, June 9, 1960

I got up at 5:30 & got Kids breakfast & Kay went up to Max's to work Ivard cultivated beets at nite & Gene raked Wallys hay this morning

at 9:30 Ivard took Dean to Primary & he went to Dentist he got home at noon with Dean I got dinner & we ate & Kay went back to work. I typed genelogy sheets most of day on Kays type writter.

at 2:45 we took Dean in to dentist to have his cap put back on & Ivard went & checked at rail road & Dean went & got him at Stockman & we got groc. & came home. Ivard went with us in case he had to go to work because Kay had pick up. at 9: Ivard & I went in to show & while I was gone I got called to Simplots. We got home at 1: Ivard didn't work. Ivard didn't work.

Wednesday, June 8, 1960

I got up & got Kids breakfast & Kay went up to Max's & Gene finished mowing Wallys hay.

I got ready & went in & got Leva & we went to Helens & went to Boise to Dr. with her. I only lost 1/2 lb. all month. We got back at 1:30 & I bought groc. & went & signed up for unemployment at 2: I came home & Ivard & Gene went to town to buy balls & bats for soft ball team. then Gene took Wallys tractor home. Ivard got garden ready & planted some corn & he planted seed corn too.

We ate and Ivard - Ray, Gene & I went in to Lake View Park to first soft ball game. Kay came in when he got home both Ivard & Kids team got beat. Dean & Jackie stayed home. Ivard didn't work.

Tuesday, June 7, 1960

I got up & got Kids breakfast & they went to work up to Max's

Ivard went to work at 7:30

Gene went over to Wallys to mow hay & at 10:30 he called & wanted me to come & get him he'd broke down, I got him & he got the jack & bolts & stuff & took Ray back with him to help then he went & got Kay & they came home for dinner. I got dinner & washed. Kay weeded flowers.

After we ate I took Kids back to work. I read a Riders Digest condensed book this afternoon. I bathed & went after Kids & at 7:45 Ivard & I went in to a genelogy meeting.

Monday, June 6, 1960

Kay started working for Max & I got up at 5:30 & got breakfast Gene raked hay & Ivard planted field corn.

We changed all the beds & I washed 6 batches. we took everything out of my room & washed wood work & windows & cleaned rug good. broke vacume belt & Ray & I went to town & got a new one.

We ate supper & Ivard went to bed early. Gene & Ray went to Mutual with Pendeltons, Kay got home too late. He ate bathed & wrote Claudia & went to bed.

Ivard didn't work today. I watched T.V. until 1:45 A.M.

Ivard went to Boise to work at 10:30 but had to come back home they made a mistake.

Sunday, June 5, 1960

We ate & Kay - Gene & Ray went to priesthood.

Ivard got home at 7: A.M. & went to bed.

I had a bath & Dean & I went to sunday school. Kay & Gene came home after priesthood & they tended Jackie.

We came home & I got dinner & we ate & Ivard went to work at 3:

Kay - Gene, Ray & Dean went to church and Jackie & I stayed home & went to bed. Jackie has a bad cold.

After dinner Kay & Gene went over to Lee's place & got our corn planter.

Saturday, June 4, 1960

Dale went over to Gails to stay

Ivard started planting corn & broke planter

I went to town at 10: & got garden seed, groc. & some stuff for Ivards corn, crow repelent and bolts for tractor. Kay worked in flowers

We ate dinner & at 2: Kay Gene & I went over to Lee's place to get our corn planter but it was over in Black Canyon to Molt said he'd go get it & we could get it tomorrow. We got 2 good messes of aspargus. We went over to Metcalfs & got flower pepper & tomatoe plants. got home about 6: & Gail came & stayed awhile then took Dale home to stay for few days.

Ivard went to work at 3: & had to double, he came home a few min. in between. watched T.V.

Friday, June 3, 1960

Gene & Dean finished the beets today.

Ivard, Dale - Jackie & I went to Boise at 10:15 to get Kay. He rode home from school with some guy.

We came home & I got dinner & we ate & Ivard went to Boise to work at 3:

I took Gene in to buy a part for mower.

Kay worked in the flowers.

I fixed supper & Dean did the dishes.

I washed Kays clothes.

I was watching T.V. when Ivard got home.

Thursday, June 2, 1960

Ray went to Lakeview Park to Camporee for 3 days

Ivard got corn ground plowed.

Ray did up work & got dinner & got ready to go to Camporee.

I went to Caldwell & got Ivard a brief case with green stamps, for fathers day, then I went out to Simplots & got my check.

Dean & Dale went to Primary at 9:30.

I came back to Nampa & got Ivards name put on brief case & went to Singer Sewing class & cut out a dress for Jackie then bought some needles, thread & stuff.

I got home at 5: & Ivard had gone to work & Ray to his camporee. I got supper & we went to bed early.

Wednesday, June 1, 1960

Sent Jerrys letter & money
got letter from Jerry
Kay called to him in Boise Friday.
hot today 86 degrees

Gene went & picked up 5 Kids & they did beets all day, didn't get done. Ivard took trator tire in to be fixed & at 2:55 I found him in Stockman plaing cards. He went up to bank & signed a check & went back I guess because he wasn't home at 6: & he'd picked up tire, he said he wouldn't but then he said he wouldn't do that again a week ago, so I'll never believe him again if he swears on a stack of Bibles.

I washed cloths all morning & got dinner & at 2: Dean & I went to town. Went & signed for unemployment, got 2 teeth put back in my plate, went to bank, pd bills, took Dean to Library & got groc. came home & worked on books & did some more washing, Gene, Ray, & Dale took Kids home & went swimming.

I called Simplot & they are down until next week at 8: I drove to town & parked in front of Stockman & sat there until 1: A.M. then followed Ivard home.
