Saturday, June 30, 1962

Ray got in at 12:30 AM from Utah & Ivard was to work so he came home in taxi.

He went to work at D.Q. at 9:30 to 6:

Ivard came home & took Jerry to work & went to bed.

I washed cloths & Ivard got up to watch ball game.

I spent all day going over the 500 pennies for my collection & Ivard helped bag them.

Jerry came home at noon & ate & went up to Johnsons vacant lot & cleaned off weeds. he came home at 4: & I showered & Jackie bathed & Ivard took us up to Hales & she had her Picture taken in her easter outfit. Got Ivard some new work shoes & came home & Jerry went & got Ray & we were eating at 7: when Gail brought Dean home & paid Kids for cherries then bought us a cone from D.Q. truck. They left at 7:30 & Ivard & I took Jerry up to D.Q. to work from 8: to 10: & we rode around looking at houses for Sale. Ray went to dance. Ivard didn't work tonite.

Friday, June 29, 1962

Ray got home from Utah

Ivard got called back to Nampa to work

Ivard got home at 5: A.M, cought freight from G.F. & walked down. He got bumped off day job & had floated on 4: job. He got up at 8: & took Jerry to work & got his check.

I went up to bank with Ivards check & bought a bag of parking meter nickles to go through for my collection. I sepnt all day & got $164. worth baged up & took back & got a bag of 500 pennies to go through. Pd. place & got Jerry & came home & were eating when Gail came. They took Dean home to stay all nite & tend kids tomorrow.

I took Jerry up to D.Q to work from 8 to 10: Ivard went & got him & he bought us all a drink. worked on collection & watched T.V. Ivard did dishes.

Ivard got called back to Nampa to work, now pick up is down there till he has time to go after it. He went to work at midnite. Ray came at 12:30 A.M.

Thursday, June 28, 1962

Dean got up at 5: A.M. & went to pick cherries with Gail.

I got up & took Jerry to work & washed 2 batches of cloths & had a shower & took Jackie to Primary. Dale went on bike. I went over to Caldwell & got my 2 day check from Simplots and came back & picked Jackie up & we came home. Dale came then went to his teachers at noon. Mrs Gragerson wanted them to.

I made out payments & got my books up. at 2:15 I went up & signed for unemployment & mailed my Payments. Dean got home at 3: Dale never came until 4:

I went & got Jerry & we ate and Jerry went to M-Men Gleaner meeting.

Ward teachers came

We watched T.V & went to bed at 10:30

Wednesday, June 27, 1962

Ivard & I, Dean, Dale & Jackie got up at 4:30 A.M & ate and at 5: Gail came & took me & Kids to pick cherries but they had enough pickers so I couldn't pick. Kids picked 4 boxes & earned about $8. I just sat on box after I helped Kids do theirs. We ate lunch. Got home at 4: & Jackie & I went to bed.

Ivard went back to work to Glenns F. had to be to work at 8:, works days this week.

We had supper & Dale went to ball practice. Jerry went up & bought us a drink & him & Kids went to bed early. I watched T.V. until 10: then I went to bed.

Its cooler than it was.

Tuesday, June 26, 1962

Got letter from Kay, e is new Branch President of Ica.

I got up took Jerry to work & washed some cloths.

Ivard & I & Kids went up to bank & put Kay's money in the Bishop gave us and paid lights & water & got me 2 new coin collection books for dimes & went through my dimes & put 30 in.

Gail & Lynda came awhile, wants us to go pick cherries with them tomorrow. Dean cleaned cup boards today.

Ivard watered all day.

I cooked supper and took Ivard up to Dobbs to get pick-up after they overhalled it and got Jerry & we ate. Jerry went & bought us a sundee for desert.

He went to M-Men meeting & Dale went to ball game. Dean did dishes & Ivard, Jackie & I hauled the garbage out by Barlows. Sat out on lawn until Dale came at 9:30 & we all went to bed.

Monday, June 25, 1962

I sat in car all nite last nite & only slept a couple of hrs.

Ivard got off work at 7: A.M. & we left Glenns Ferry for home, stoped at Hammett & had breakfast & I drove rest of way home, got here at 10: & washed some cloths & made an icebox desert for supper & Ivard & I went to bed most of day but I couldn't sleep, too hot and noisy. Gail came awhile.

I got up and cooked a Steak & made salad & we ate when Jerry got home from work. We took pick up to garage. When we got home this morning, for an overhall job. It will be done tomorrow nite.

I didn't go to genelogy meeting. Jerry took car & took Dean & bunch of Scouts to Boise to show & supper. It was 1:30 when they got home. We went to bed early. Ivards nite off.

Sunday, June 24, 1962

Jackie & I took Ivard to Glenns F.

Ivard came back with the guy he went with last nite because the pick-up broke & he had to leave it at his place. He came to bed & we read paper & slept awhile. Jerry took Dean to priesthood then he had to go to work at Dairy Queen from 10: to 5: I took him up then Ivard took Jackie & Dale up to sunday school & came back & watched ball game. We went & got Kids from church & got groc. had a milk shake & I fixed supper for 5: when Jerry got home. Dean went to Stake meeting at 2: Ivard & us took him.

Dean did dishes & we went for ride & looked at houses for sale, from car.

I had bath & got ready & Ivard & I, Jerry, Dean, Dale & Jackie went to church. Jerry went to Fire Side after & we brought Dean & Dale home & Jackie & I went to Glenns Ferry.

Saturday, June 23, 1962

Ivard came home from Glenns Ferry this morning some guy wanted to come so he bought the gas if Ivard would drive up. He went to bed awhile. I spent most of the day finishing my bedroom drapes and Ivard put up the rods & we got them up.

Jerry went to work at 8: & got home at 12:30 & I took him up to Dairy Queen to work at 1:. We went over to Gails a few min.

Went up town & got hooks for my bedroom drapes & shower curtain & I stoped to D.q. & got us all a cold drink & brought home. I bought a Penny & nickle coin book today.

We ate supper & Ivard left for Glenns Ferry at 9:30. I watched T.V. until it went off the air.

Jerry got home from work at D.q. at 10:30.

Friday, June 22, 1962

I got up & took Jerry to work.

Dean did up work & I washed some cloths & worked on my drapes. Dean did genelogy most of day, He got home from Gails at 11:

Gail, Lynda & Kids came awhile then they went up to Idaho City & camped all nite. He called about some jobs. He hasn't got one again.

Its awful hot & I don't feel to good.

I got supper & went after Jerry & had him buy me some Travers rods for my bed room drapes.

We came home & ate & Jerry went to work at Dairy queen at 7:00. Dean & I watched T.V. & went & got him at mid nite. Dean went to Cliff Forsgrins Party after went swimming at Park.

Thursday, June 21, 1962

Got letter from Kay & Ivard got father day card

Ray went to Utah on bus.

I got up & took Jerry to work and finished putting button holes & buttons on the 7 blouses I made. Singer guy came & checked my machine. Prudential Ins. guy came & brought Gene's policy for 11,000.

I washed a batch of cloths & went up to sign for unemployment.

Ray didn't have to go to work until 3: so he scrubbed Kitchen & took Jackie to Primary & went & got his hair cut & some socks & got his suit case packed to go to Utah. Dean worked on genelogy all day. He went & tended Kids for Gail & stayed all nite.

Ray went with me to sign for unemployment & we went to Pennys after & bought material for drapes for my bed room, Ray was 10 min. late for work. He got Claudia some towels for her birthday & I had some laid away for me. I started my drapes. Ray came home at 11: & I took him up to bus station to go to Utah. It was 40 min. late. I got home at 12:10.

Wednesday, June 20, 1962

Ivard finished hauling 680 bales hay

Jerry woke me up at 7:45 to take him to work. Ivard was already up & him & Ray & Dean were out hauling hay, I took Jerry then I had to go get Lynda & take her to dentist then I brought Kids home & Dale tended them, Lynda walked home (here) Ray helped haul 2 loads of hay then I took him up to shoe shop then to work at 9:30. Ivard & Dean hauled one load of hay then Gail came & helped them haul 2, 5 loads in all today & thats all 680 bales in 3 days. They went home at 1: & Ivard & Kids followed them & took cultivator over. Dale stayed all nite.

I sewed all day, finished Jackies blouses & Debbies 7, all but button holes & buttons & started them at 3:30 Ivard took Jackie up to Park little pool then took pick up to Jerry & Dean & I got groc. & went & picked Ivard up & went to Lakeview Park & played Scrabble then we ate. Came home at 6:30 & Ivard went to bed till 9: & went to G. F.

Tuesday, June 19, 1962

Ivard & Dean hauled hay all day from Hennis's. I got up & took Jerry to work. At 9: I took Ray to shoe show then to work.

I washed a couple of batches of cloths and spent all day sewing Jackies blouses.

Went & got a few groc. & got Jerry & Ray from work and Ray tended Kids & Jerry went to a meeting.

Ivard & I got ready & left for Boise at 6:30. We went to "Dixion's" & had sea food supper $3.25 each. I had lobster cocktail,  clam soup & Louisiana Prawns sure good. It was cool & only lighted by candles, real romantic. After we went to Broadway drive Inn & saw two good shows "State Fair" & "Second time Around" It was 1:15 when we got home.

Dean went on Hay Ride Party to Barlow's.

Monday, June 18, 1962

sent Mother letter

Ivard got letter & card from Lyle for Fathers day.

Ivard finally got home, first time since he left Wed. nite. He was mad & cancelled his bid to come back to Nampa so Don Carroll got called back. He put it in again but it will probably be awhile now, He'd called & had them leave his check at G. F. & he spent, or lost $80. he didn't know which $25. went for Jail after he'd got drunk & spent the nite there, guys at work laid him off so he wouldnt get fired. Now we can't go to Utah like we planned all week for Cleverly reunion.

I was sure  mad. Him & Dean hauled hay all day from Hennis's Gail helped them 3 loads. I sewed Sis's blouses & went to bank & paid bills.

We ate & Ivard went to bed & I took Jerry & Dean up to church for Mutual, Dean went to Park swimming. I went to first ward & started takeing an advanced genelogy class. Awful wind & dust storm, Thunder & lighting - rain. Picked Kids up at 9:30.

Sunday, June 17, 1962

Ivard didn't come home today either for Fathers day

Ray had to work at D.Q. today.

Jerry got home from Salt Lake after midnite (Monday AM)

I took Dean to Priesthood then Gail took Jackie & Dale to sunday school then I went & got them. Gail came after priesthood a few min.

Dean & I worked on genelogy

I went up to Dairy Queen & got fries, shakes & hambergers for our dinner.

Ray - Dean & Dale went to church. Jackie & I stayed home & watched T.V.

Ivard got father day card from Claudia

Ivard didn't come home from G. F. again today & I needed the check to pay bills.

I washed cloths and iorned cloths all day.

Ray worked all day and went swimming tonite.

Dean cleaned up the house.

I watched T.V. until it went off the air.

Ivard didn't come home today.

I washed some cloths and worked on my genelogy.

Me & Kids went up & paid Ins. on pick-up (additional) & went & put some in my savings then we went over to Caldwell to Simplots & got my little check. stoped to Gails but they werent home, had a root beer. Came home & fixed supper & went & got Ray from work & we ate.

Kays letter was all in Spanish but Ray read it to us.

I got up & took Jerry to work & at 9:50 I took Jackie to Primary Dale rode bike. Ray went & got her at 11: & paid his hospital x-ray bill.

Dean worked on genelogy most of day.

Ray didn't have to go to work until 6: till cloesing.

Cold & windy - Kids made a fire to warm up house.

I washed 2 batches of cloths & worked on my books. Called Mrs. P. G. Batt & got address of his sister in Salem to write about genelogy. wrote a note to Kay & sent in with Deans letter. wrote to P.G's sister. wrote to Lyle & to Mother.

Went & signed for unemployment & Ray bought me a drink & got Kids one & took home.

We got supper & ate & took Ray to work when I went after Jerry, Jerry left for Salt Lake to conference.

Wednesday, June 13, 1962

We got laid off today, for summer I hope. got home at 9: and every one was still in bed. I went to bed & Ivard rubbed my back. He got up & watched T.V. fixed a few things around. I got up at noon & sent Ivard up to get sweetner & he took Kids & had icecream cones.

I washed 3 batches of Cloths and cooked supper. Ivard went to store for me & got gas in pick-up to go to work.

Ray went to work at Dairy Q. at 10: & came home with Jerry at 6:15. We ate and Dale went to little legue ball practice and Ivard left for Glenns Ferry to work at 7: & watched Dale practice.

We watched T.V. & Ray & Dean did dishes. Jerry & Dean went up to D.Q. & got us a drink. We all went to bed at 10:45.

Tuesday, June 12, 1962

Berniece had baby girl at noon.

I came home from work at 8:30 & went right to bed, I was so tired. I got woke up at noon by Kids, Gail left his bunch here for about 4 hrs., I stayed in bed but never did get back to sleep.

Ivard spent all day cleaning garage.

Ray went to work at Dairy Q. from 10: to 6:

I got up and fixed barbacue for supper & we ate as soon as Jerry & Ray came from work. We ate and Jerry & Ray went ward teaching & never got home until 9:30.

Dean did dishes & I went back to bed but couldn't go to sleep, tried too hard, only 3 hrs today. I went to work with Vie again.

Mother called, Berniece had baby girl.

Monday, June 11, 1962

sent Kay letter, & 3 genelogy letters. Jerry was 24 years old today.

Ivard came home from G.F. about 9: and went to bed. & Ray went to work.

Jerry went to work in Pick-up.

I got up and washed cloths & did quite a bit or iorning.

Ivard & Dean beat up a angle food cake for Jerrys birthday. Dean & I went up town & got some socks (3 pr) for Jerry & went out to get some garments but Mrs. Yorgenson wasn't home so we got groc. & came home & I made a meat loaf, blue cheese salad a & spring salad then went back out & got Jerry 3 pr. garments for his birthday then when Jerry & Ray came home we ate & Jerry, Ray & Dean went to Mutual. I went to bed, have to go to work tonite at Simpltos, never did get to sleep, Gail, Lynda & Kids came awhile & borrowed Pick-up. I went to work at 11:25, rode with Vie from Melba.

Sunday, June 10, 1962

I don't feel so hot. Jerry, Ray, he came from Crofts, & Dean went to priesthood & sunday school. Ray came home & took Dale & Jackie. I stayed home & had dinner ready when they came.

Gail came a min. on way to work.

Ray & Dean did dishes. Jerry had to go to work at 3: he was supposed to talk in church but couldn't get any one to work for him.

I wrote 3 letters seeing genelogy information & wrote 8 page letter to Kay.

Ray - Dean - Dale, Jackie, & I went to church in Pick-up. Ray brought us back home after & went to fireside. He came home at 10:20 & brought Jerry from work.

We all went to bed at 10:30.

Saturday, June 9, 1962

I got laid off again this morning & they will be down next two nites. at Simplots. I came home & put a batch of cloths in & just got in bed & started to read paper when Ivard came from G.F. & came to bed. He got up at 11: & watched game. I got up at 1: & Jerry was home & planted flower bed by back step. I made 4 grahm cracker crusts & Dean made enough banna filling for 4 of them. We ate & Jerry went to work at 6: at Dairy Q. & Ray came home, he went at 10: A.M. Ivard & Dale went & had hair cut & got groc. for me.

Ray scrubbed Kitchen & I rode up with him to take Ivard to train then we came home & Ray Went with Phill Murry. Came about 2: & Said they'd had flat tire & went to Crofts & stayed rest of nite. I watched T.V. until, off

Friday, June 8, 1962

had to work at Simplots tonite

I never got up until 9:, read paper in bed. I don't feel good

Ray got up & took Jerry to work then at 9: Ray went to Boise with Philip Murry. It's Rays day off.

Dean worked on genelogy most of day, fixed his big 2 ft. sq. Pedigree chart, 7 generations.

I got my books up and iorned until 5: then we cought up with Ray & got him home, & he took me up to Bank & I put $25. in my Saving from special Milk check we got, Capitol Reserve fund for 1957 (71% of it) got groc. while Ray picked up icecream for Jerry for M-Men Party. We droped Ray off at D.Q. to work for Jerry & came home & ate & Jerry went to his Stake Party. I got called back to Simplots & called Vie from Melba to Pick me up.

Ivard didn't come home today.

Thursday, June 7, 1962

Jerry got up & walked to work. I never woke up until late. I got up and washed 3 batches of cloths & cought up on the papers for this week.

Ray never got up until 11:30 then he did up the dishes.

Mrs. Cheane came & took Kids to Primary at 9:35. they came home at 11:30.

Jerry came home for lunch.

Gail came awhile and Jackie went home with him to stay all nite.

At 2:15 Ray took me up to sign up for unemployment & I went & put $30. in my Savings account. Ray bought me a drink at Dairy Q. came home at 3: & got books up.

Dean worked on genelogy.

Ray went & got Jerry from work & Jerry droped Ray off at Dairy Q. to work. We ate and Jerry went to M. Men & Gleaners.

I watched T. V. until midnite. Ray came before show was over.

Wednesday, June 6, 1962

Came home from California

Got up & ate breakfast and left for home at 8:45. Gene stayed to get a job. We got gas & were on our way. Ivard drove to Sparks. We got there at 11:30 & got gas then we went to "Golden Nuggett" & had dinner. We were on our way again at 1: I drove from there to Winnamuca & Ivard drove from there to Jordan Valley where we got gas & I drove the rest of the way home. Got here at 8:05 and Ray had gone to Drive-Inn to show in pick-up so Ivard had to go to Glenns Ferry to work in car. Changed his cloths & left at 8:30. I put things away & we all went to bed at 9:30.

Ray got home at 12:45.

Tuesday, June 5, 1962

We got up and had breakfast and did up work and sat around. I read "True Story" magazine. Ivard Gene & Dean drove up town.

We had lunch when Stanley came home from school at noon & at 1: we took Barbra & Kids & went up to Sacramento Park & went through the Zoo & took some movies then went through "Fairy Tell" town then over to the amusment Park & Kids went on Merry-go-Round-giant racer, boats ect.

Got home at 4: & Barbra got supper & we ate & did dishes. she made a cake & Ivard & I took her to store & got icecream & we had that about 8:30 then Kids went to bed.

We played 3 handed Penochle until about 11: when Lyle got home from flying & we played until midnite & went to bed.

Monday, June 4, 1962

Went to Sacramento

Ivard called at 5:30 AM & said he'd run out of gas out by Kuna, comeing home from Glenns F., so I got Dean up & we got a 5 ga. can & took him, aways out past Hurren's. Came home & went to bed awhile. & I got up & took Jerry to work. Called Gene at Adrian.

I washed 3 batches of cloths. Ivard got up at 10: & went out to Hennis's & they gave him $400. the rest they owed us for place & $100. for drapes & rug. Came home & we went to bank & paid some bills, got new tire on car & some film for movie camera & Dale some pants. Came home & packed suit cases & at 11:45 Ivard & I, Dean Dale & Jackie went over to Adrian Oregon & got Gene up at Duaine & Nancy's & we headed for California at 1: stoped at Winnamuca & had dinner. got to Lyles at 10: got to bed at midnite. Lyle had to go out on flight at 1: A.M for 24 hrs.

Sunday, June 3, 1962

cold & windy.

I laid in bed late & read paper.

Ivard came home from Glenns F. and went to bed.

Ray had to go to work at Dairy Q. at 9:30 A.M until 5:

Jerry & Dean went to Priesthood, sunday school & fast meeting. I didn't go today had to stay home & Keep Jackie in bed, has bad cold, & soak Dales foot, had infection from stepping on nail.

I made porkie pine babies & got dinner & we ate at 2:45 when Jerry & Dean got home.

Jerry went to work at D.Q. at 5: & Ray never came until about 8: We took Ivard up to depot to go to Glenns F. with Pollard & sat & waited awhile. I watched T.V. until it went off the air & went up & got Jerry at midnite.

Saturday, June 2, 1962

I got up and took Jerry to work at 8: then at 9: I took Dean up to church to go collect Fast offerings.

Ray went to work at Dairy Q. at 10: Ivard came home about then from G. F. and went to bed. after he planted tomatoes. Dean got home at 11: & cleaned bed rooms & bath. At 12:45 we went & got Jerry at Barber Shop, went after he got off work, and we went to Safe ways & Albertsons & Jerry got us $41. worth of groc. We came home & fixed supper & ate & got groc. put away.

I washed cloths all day.

Jerry went to work at Dairy Q at 6: & I went after him at 1: & it was 1:30 A.M before we got home I watched T.V. until it went off the air. Ray stayed home tonite

Friday, June 1, 1962

I got up and took Jerry to work. Ivard didn't come home today. I washed bedding all day.

Rays day off and he washed the floor again then when it dried he waxed it and Dean polished it. then we got the beds in, a big one & the bunk beds, Rays desk & Dean & Dales dresser & my big dresser. We got beds made & they got their cloths in closet.

Gail came for awhile.

We went & got Jerry & ate Jerry went to work at Dairy Q.

I watched T.V. & went & got Jerry at midnite. Ray went to show.
