Lyle came & stayed all nite

Cold wind. snowed in nite.

Ivard & I got up at 4:30 AM & took Dale on his Paper route & Ivard got his Check. Came home & I cooked a big breakfast & got everyone up to eat. I wiped wood work & floor in my bathroom & waxed it & got things put away. Ray worked at D.q. all day. Ivard left for work at 2:30 & got home about midnite. I started to clean my bed room & at 5: I stoped & we all went to Bank & paid some bills. Came home & ate & I finished doing my bed room & worked on my books. At 9:30 Lyle & family came to Spend nite got Kids to bed & listened to New Year in across nation on radio & played games. When Ivard came we played Penochle & had snack, Barbra brought Went to bed about 1:30 AM.

Wednesday, December 30, 1964

Simplots went down

Cold wind, it was 32° when I came home from work, We got laid off again on account of gas shortage, until called. Stoped & signed for unemployment Taylors were here putting carpet on Stairs, $65. Ivard & Kids went & got another bunch of stuff from old house. I had short nap & read my new relief society magazine.

Ivard went to work on Wilder local at 2:30. Kids went up town & got groc. & we ate at 4:15. Dale went over to Buttlers. I catalogued my Xmas.

I fixed supper & we were just finishing eating when Lyle came (down to get Terry from Metcalf's) they left for home at 8:. Dean & Dale went to Piano lesson. Jerry & Ray went to Johnsons to Dairy q Party. Home Teachers Came.

Tuesday, December 29, 1964

31° when I came home, snow skiffs on road, cloudy all day snowed awhile tonite. I came home & ate & went to bed & read paper. Ivard was already home & in bed (7:30)

Ivard got up & him & Kids got rest of stuff out of old house & cleaned it. still have garage & fruit room to do. Ray & Jerry worked at D. q. cleaning. 11: till 3: Ray went to dentist & had tooth filled. I woke up at 2:30 & when Kids came Jerry, Ray, Dean, Dale & I went up town & bought another hall rug & stuff for Jerrys drapes. got groc. & came home & ate & Ivard went to work on Boise at 8:30. I worked on books & went to bed at 9:30 & went to work at 11: Ivard got home at midnite.

Monday, December 28, 1964

snowed real hard on me on way home from work then it cleared up & roads dried off. Ivard was home & in bed. I ate & read paper & went to bed. Dean cleaned up & got some more boxes unpacked. Jerry went to work at D.q. cleaning 10: to 4: Ray went gading all day.

Ivard got up & hauled some fruit. I got up at 2: & washed some cloths & Arnie Wilcott came & I signed papers then Ivard & I went up town & I bought my rug for hall, & got 50. sheet laway out I've had for 2 yrs.

Ivard left on beet job after we ate & droped Ray & Dean off at Gails to go to basketball game. I went to bed after I treated Jackies hair for bugs, got 22. shampooed it. Went to work at 11:

Jerry_ Ray Dean & Dale went to priesthood. Ivard stayed in bed. I got up & washed Jackies & my hair & she got ready & Ray came & took her to S. S. I washed 4 batches of cloths & iorned all morning

Kids came home & we fixed dinner & ate. Ivard built a fire in fireplace & we went down stairs & worked a puzzle. Lyle & family came about 3: & Gail a little later. I about went crazy with all the Kids running in & out. Ivard left for work at 7: & right after Gail went & Lyle left for Baker, Barbra gave Jackie Pernmant & found bugs in her hair (she been itching crazy. Ly Jerry_Ray_Dean & Dale went to church & I had bath & went to bed until time to go to work at 11:

Saturday, December 26, 1964

Sunny & windy.

Ivard left for work at Marshing at 7: AM & got home about midnite.

We ate breakfast & Lyle left for Metcalfs about 11: Jerry & Dean went up & loaded up some stuff at other house & Jerry worked a couple of hrs at D. q.

I washed cloths & iorned all afternoon. Jerry & Dean cleaned house & Ray worked on his room. then we went up town & got a Permament Kits for Jackies hair & I got Lyle, Gail & Dale a shirt for their birthday.

We went up to Gails at 6:30 & played games. Came home about 10:40 & went to bed.

Gail Dale went to learn his paper route.

Friday, December 25, 1964

Lyle & family came & stayed all nite.

We got up at 4:30 A.M & opened our presents & Ivard left for work at Marshing at 7:30 till midnite 11:30. Gail came & we we exchanged presents just before Ivard left then me & Kids went over to Gails for Xmas breakfast & try out their new waffle iorn. We played games & came home about 11:. Lyle & family came at noon & Ivard came home for lunch. We had gift exchange with Lyle & played games & ate supper about 4:30. Gail came again this afternoon & played games. Lyle stayed here all nite. When Ivard came we played penochle. I was dead when I went to bed.

Thursday, December 24, 1964

Ivard left for Marshing to work at 6:30 A.M till midnite. Gail Dale went with Gail on route today & Jerry & I took him up to M & W at 7:30 A.M. & bought our Xmas groc. $71. worth & went to & bought a new bike at Western Auto for Dale. We went to town 6 times. today wrapped presents & cleaned up house Jerry worked at D.q. a hr. him & I played Santa Clause had to go up to D.q at midnite & get Dales bike Ivard came & helped us finish. We went to bed at 2:30 & I was cold & never did get to sleep.

Sent Gene letter & his money

Warm & real cloudy - floods every place can't get out of state, roads closed.

Ivard left for Nyssa to work at 6:30 AM & Kids went to school. Jerry wrapped presents & I started letter to Gene & finished it at D.q. when I took Jerry to work 10: to 8: I went & mailed it & went to Caldwell & got laway & to Simplots & got my check & to bank & put dimes in my account & had Int. posted in our books. Came back & signed for unemployment & stoped at Venices & got Typewritter I bought from Kay & Sheri brought up. Went to D.q & had snack & waited awhile for Dean then came home & they were home. Ate & Dean & Dale went to Piano lesson. When they came home I went up to D.q. & got Jerry from work.

61° real hard wind all day & rained hard all evening. Ivard left for Nyssa to work at 7: AM & Kids went to school I got up & worked on my books when Jerry got up he cleaned up the house good, after his party last nite and I iorned his shirts & pants 23, & 7 other things & washed a couple of batches then I got ready & Jerry & I went & Pd. bills, did little shopping & got Genes bank draft to send then we picked Jackie up at school at 3: & went to D.q & met Dean after we did a little more shopping then at 4:30 Dean & Jerry droped Jackie & I off at dancing, Xmas party, then Jerry & Dean went shopping & Jerry went to work at 6: to close & Dean came & got us & we came home & ate & got ready & went to Ward Xmas Party. Jackie did a tap number real good. Went by D. q. & Dale cleaned yard. Came home at 10: & worked on my books. Went & got Jerry at midnite Ivard came at 12:30. I went to bed at 1:40 AM.

Ray went to Utah

Pacific upholstery brought our chair

windy but warmer. Ivard left for Nyssa to work at about 5: A.M got home about 11: P.M. Kids went to school. Jerry & I went to Safeways & got groc & stuff for M-Men Gleaner Party & left Ray at D.q. to work for Jerry awhile, 10: came home and Jerry went to work so Ray could go to dentist at 11:30 & have tooth filled. I spent nearly all day makeing jello salads for Jerrys Party. Kids came at 5: & we ate & got house cleaned up. Jerry & I dashed into Gails & got punch set, after Lynda left & got Dean.

At 7: Jerry left for Stake House to go Xmas carroling with Stake M Men & Gleaners & Ray & I made relish trays & Candy decorations for Party after. They came about 10: & had lunch & gift exchange. There were 66 of them. They were all gone by midnite. real nice. Ray left for Utah at 11:30 train was 3 hrs late, rode up with one of ladys here.

Sunday, December 20, 1964

Cold wind all day. Ivard got home from work about 7:30 & came to bed. I read paper & got up. Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & droped Jerry off at D.q to work until 5: Ray laid in bed. At 10: Jackie & I went to Sunday School to Xmas programe. Came home & fixed dinner & we ate & they decorated the Xmas Tree.

Gail & family came awhile then they left at 4:30 & Ray went to work at 5: & we went in & got the car & loaded them both & got Jerry & came home & unloaded & got ready for church. Ivard & I, Jerry, Dean, Dale & Jackie went. It was Xmas programe by choir. It was real good. Came home & had snack & went to bed. Ivard didn't work Today.

hard wind all day & cold

Ivard came home from work about 7:30 & came to bed. I didn't get up very early.

Jackie & Dean stayed home & helped Ivard haul stuff from other place & Jerry _ Ray, Dale & I went to town Xmas shopping & got groc. When he came home Dean had house about cleaned & he finished rest tonite, did all the tile floors & had them waxed did the big play room too. I fixed supper & we ate & Ivard had to go to work at 7: on beet job. Jerry & Ray went to work at D.q 6: to close. I stayed up & worked watched T. V. until it went off the air. Simplots are down until Dec. 28th.

I went to Dr. lost 5 lbs

hard cold wind all day

We didn't get up very early Kids went to school. I spent all morning cleaning the bathroom, wipeing off tile & wood work & cleaning lables off the tub, basin & toiled & put waxed floor & got towels put away. Ivard & Ray were all day moveing more furniture from other place. I made out my payments to mail & at 5: Ivard, Ray & I went up town & I went to Dr at 4: lost 5½ lbs. Ray bought a Xmas tree & we got Jerry from work at D.q. worked all day. We ate. Ivard marked up & I had to go to work at 7: on beet job. Betty Coats & Cleah Callahan came & got Ray & Jerry & they went to Boise to a Party. I went to bed early.

My 30th Anniversary. Moved into our new home. got 3 phones in & overstuffed cleaned

bitterly cold & hard wind

Ivard got off & borrowed Wally Brysons truck & we moved enough stuff that we could stay in our new house today. Ray helpedh im all day & Jerry. I came out & helped get things streightened around after I loaded the car & packed stuff. We picked Kids up in at other place after school & got beds set up & some of them made. Gail came & told us happy birthday anniversary & told us they'd all gone in & got us 30 red roses, Jerry brought them with him when he got Kids & they gave us $25. to go out on town but it was so cold & we were so tired that we took Petersons truck home & went to Harmony & had supper & came home & went to bed. Still have $20. left to go on later. Ray took Kids to D.q & bought their supper when Jerry went to work at 6: To close. Kids made rest of beds.

Jerry got home from Utah

Simplots went down

real cold. I came home from work & went to bed, I was about froze. Ivard was home & in bed. He got up in 3 hrs & went & borrowed Wally Brysons truck & Petersons & him & Ray started to move things to our new house, davenport T.V'S ect. Ray went to work at 10: for Jerry but Jerry got home from Utah at 10:10 so he worked & Ray came home. I got up & helped pack.  Gail came at 6:30 & they were just going to load deep freeze & Ivard had to go to work at 7: & got stuck so they got him out & he left. I washed cloths all afternoon.

Simplots went down on account of oil shortage (N.gas) got down to 2° above. went & had oil change & greese job on Dodge. Went to bed early Kids didn't go to Piano lessons.

real cold. I came home from work froze & went to bed got warm & we went to bank, Paid bills & sent mothers Xmas pkg & went & signed papers & pd final closeing costs & we now have a new home. came home & went to bed and Ivard went to work at 3:

Dean took Jackie to dancing & I went & picked her up. Ray worked for Jerry tonite 6: to close.

Lyle got up & Barbra fixed breakfast & they were about through eating when I got home they left at 10: when we went up town. Lyle had business at Wards for hr & they went home.

Jerry went to Salt Lake to Dr

Lyle & family came & stayed all nite

cold. I came home from work & went to bed. Jerry & Ray wrapped Xmas Presents most of the day. Jerry had to go work a couple of hrs at lunch hr. They bought Mother a warm, big, pretty pInk sweater & they got her Present ready to mail.

Washed cloths.

Ray worked for Jerry tonite from 6: to close. & Ivard & Kids took Jerry to train but it was late, never left until 10:30, they went shopping & to Gails. got home at 10: & Lyle & family came & we got them to bed. Lyle ahd to come down on store business. Pacific Upholstery came & got old recliner chair to recover $79. I never did get any sleep tonite. Went to work at 11:

Ray Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & Ray came & took Jackie to Sunday S. I washed Jackies hair & read paper & washed 4 batches cloths. Jerry went to work 10: to 5:

Me & Kids went up to Gails & they weren't home. When we came back they were here.

I wrapped Xmas presents all morning, until Kids got home. Ray went to hospital to see Mrs Weaver then took Dean & Dale looking at Xmas trees & I helped Jackie wrap presents, then I laid down awhile & got ready & went to church. I had to talk, tell about Gene & his mission because Ivard was in Emmett. It was real interesting, each of the 7 missionaries parent talked. Went to bed until time to go to work at 11:30

Ivard went to Emmet until MOnday

Jerry & I went to Boise shopping

Sunny & not to cold. Ivard left for Emmett, drove, until Monday nite at 8:, Ray rode to work with him. Jerry took Jackie up to Gails, Dale stayed all nite & went on milk route. At 9: Dean went up to H.S to debate all day & at 9:30 Jerry & I went to Boise & I got most of my Xmas shopping done.

Jerry bought me shrimp dinner. We got home at 4: & wrapped presents until 5:15 then went to get Ray, met him on curve came home & Dean came & at 6: Jerry went to work. I fixed all my Xmas cards & wrote letters in 10 of them.

Ray went up & got Dale & Jackie at 7: & Dale went & cleaned D. q. yard & Ray went to dance. he brought Jerry home at 11:45 & we went to bed. Dean did up work.

nicer today & not too cold. I came home from work & read paper & went to bed couple of hrs.

Jerry worked 11:45 until 1:30 then when he came home we went out to our new place & measured windows & fireplaces & came home & got Jackie & went up town & bought 2 grates for fireplace & a screen for basement fireplace & ordered 3 phones. Came home & got Dean, Dale & Ray & went up to Ward & had our supper at bzzar, fried chicken, bought few things.

brought Kids back to D.q. & they got car & went home. Jerry worked 6: till Close. Ivard & I & Jackie went back up town & Jackie did her Xmas shopping. Came home at 8:30 & I went to bed. My nite off. Ivard didn't work today.

Thursday, December 10, 1964

36° when I came home form work. rained all nite after mid-night & real hard all morning most of day. I got home at 8:30 & ate & read paper & went to bed at 9:30, Ivard was still asleep. I woke up at 1: & couldn't go back to sleep so I worked on books & got up at 2:15 & got my diary up.

Jerry worked early on lunch hr today went 11:15 to 1: then he started supper & went up town until 3:10

Ivard & I played a game of Scrabble & I finished supper. Jerry & Ray went up town shopping & brought Jackie home from Primary. We ate & Jerry went to work 6: to close.

I went to bed until time to go to work.

roads were icy comeing from work but it was starting to thaw. Car wheel kept grabbing so when I got home Ivard took it up to Dobbs & had it checked. I ate & read paper & went to bed at 9:45. I woke up at 11: & couldn't sleep so I washed some cloths & messed around

Jerry worked 11:45 to 1:30 & 6: to Close Ray was gone to work when I got home & droped in a min. at lunch hr.

Jackie wouldn't practice Piano & wants to quit so we let her stay home tonite from lesson, Ray took Dean & Dale for their lesson. I went back to bed at 6: until time to go to work, I was so tired. Ivard didn't work today sat & watched T.V. I went to work at 11:

Tuesday, December 8, 1964

snowed during nite about 2 in, but it wasn't very slick. I read paper & went to bed at 9:30. Ray was to work when I got home. I was so tired i never woke up until 3:30 when Jerry called me to come & get him at D.q., snowing again. He worked 11:45 till 3:30. Jackie was there too so we went up to M & W to get her some boots but they didn't ahve any so we brought Jerry home & went up town & got her some then went to dance lessons. It really snowed hard all evening. Came home at 6:20 & Jerry was to work, 6: to close, & they'd eaten. Jackie & I ate & I went to bed until time to go to work, left early, 10:45.

Monday, December 7, 1964

18° in Caldwell & 26° in Nampa when I came home from work. I ate & read paper & got ready & Arnie Wilcott came & took us up to Home Federal to apply for loan on new house. Came home at 11: & I went to bed & Ivard left for Bend, Oregon, some guy picked him up. Ray was to work when I got home. I didn't get much sleep but I stayed in bed clear till time to go to work at 11: Had to get up at 3:30 & take Jerry up to work for Edith & he worked 3:30 till close. I went back to bed. Kids fixed their own supper

Gail & family came awhile but didn't come in & see me & Dale told them I was awake.

Dean went to Priesthood & Dale & Ivard, Ray & Jackie went to Sacrament meeting & S.S. I washed 3 batches cloths & cooked dinner & cooked 5 dz. Cookies.

They came home at 1:30 & at 2:30 we ate. Dale stayed to church to collect fast offerings. Ivard went to take Kids at 3: Dean did dishes & Ray made Xmas center pieces to sell. Ivard & Dale came at 4:

Ray went to work. Kids got up late.

I changed all the beds & washed cloths all day. Dean cleaned front room & Kitchen & Dale cleaned their bedroom. I helped Jerry make their beds & Dean helped me make mine.

Jerry took Ray to work at noon & We went up & bought groceries then we came home & I took Dean up to get hair cut then Jerry & I went & got feed, pd. Wards & got Ray. We ate & Jerry went to work at 6: till close.

I came home from work at 8:45, went in office & borrowed 1000. from Credit Union for new house. real estate guy came at 9:30 & we signed contract. If bank approves it we will have new house. I went to bed at 11: & Ivard left for Nyssa to go to Bend, Oregon until Sat. nite.

Jerry worked 11:45 to 1:30 & 6: to 7: then him, Dean & Dale, went to Caldwell to "Messiah"

Ray came home from work & stayed home tonite & listened to ball game him & Sis. I was so tired I went to bed at 7:

Ray passed me on his way to work when I came home, got home just as we were eating.

I woke up at 2: when Ivard left to get hair cut, never got home till 4:30, went to R.R., he wont work today, too many times out. I washed socks & Ivard helped turn them. Dale went & cleaned D.q. yd. I went & got Sis from Primary at 5:15 after we ate.

I went to bed at 6:30, don't feel good.

It rained hard all nite long & then this afternoon it really rained, thundered & lightenined & wind blew. I was a little late getting home, went in to see about getting money for new house from Credit U.
