I read paper in bed.

Dean went collecting Fast Offerings then to church.

Jerry went to work at D.q. 10: to 5:

Gene got up & got ready & went over to Owyhee ward to church all day got home about 11:

Ray & Dale went to Priesthood & Sunday school & Sacrament meeting, had it today on account of conference next week.  I don't feel good & Jackie & I cough too much.

Gene took Ray after gas & to get car before he left.

Kids got home from church at 2:30 & helped me fix dinner & we ate at 3:15.

I worked cross word puzzles all morning & crocheted.

Ivard said he'd be home today but he didn't come.

Gail, Lynda & Kids came about 6: stayed couple of hrs.

Jerry went to M_Men_Fireside

Dale made vanilla waffers, turned out good my nite off.  We went to bed early.

Saturday, March 30, 1963

Ray went back to work at D.q. today.

I came home from work & change my bed & washed it & Dean cleaned my room & we made bed.

I mixed bread & baked 4 loaves & washed up all the dirty cloths.

Dean moped floors & cleaned up the house & Dale & Jackie raked the lawn & swept walk & porches.

Jerry went to work at D.q. 9:30 to 6:

Ray went back to work at D.q. today 3: to 10:, his foot was tired, then when he got off at 10: he went out to Phill's & got home at 2: AM.  Butlers brought him home, he ran out of gas in front of their place & left car there all nite.

Dale went out selling Hobby Show tickets for his school.

I crocheted awhile.  Went & got $23. worth groc.

Gene went out & cleaned out Corrigates on their grain until about 1:30, his back hurt.

We ate & at 7: Jerry took Dean, Dale & Jackie to Nampa Drive Inn to show they got home at 10:

I went to bed at 7:30, I was dead, my nite off.  Gene watched T.V.

Cloudy & windy _ not cold _ sun came out about 6:

Ivard didn't come home today.

I came home from work & ate & read paper & went to bed at 9:30.

Gene went out to place & fixed tractor & finished earrigateing the grain. got home about 5:

Jackie woke me up at 12: to fix her some lunch.  Jerry had gone with missionaries & never got home until about 5: I stayed up until 2:30 & crocheted & watched T.V. then took her to bed with me.  I didn't get much sleep, trying to Keep her in bed.  I slept after Kids came until 5:30 & they woke me up for supper.  Dean fixed it.

Ray took jerry up to work at 6: to close & saw about going back to work, goes Sat. Gene went up & got him & left car for Jerry.

I went back to bed at 6:45, I'm so tired, I've only had 3 & 4 hrs. sleep a day since I went back.  Dean did dishes & they watched T.V. went to work at 11:10.

Sunny & windy, not cold

I came home from work & ate read paper & watched a couple of shows.  I went to bed at 9:30.

I woke up at 1:30 when Gene woke Ivard up to tell him they'd called to say the tractor wheel was fixed so they went & got it & went & fixed it & earrigated the grain.  Ivard came home this morning from G. Ferry.

I stayed up & tended Sis & ate & crocheted at 3:30 we went up to D.q. & had drink & got gal milk & sat & waited for Ray but missed him, he walked home.  Ray & I took Sis to Primary & took Ins. papers to Dr I got books up when I came home & Ray went back after Kids & get Dean some school paper.

Jerry had to go to work for Mr. Johnson at 1: & stay till close, he was supposed to start at 6:

Dean made cake & rice pudding for supper

I took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens for their Piano lesson at 5:30 & crocheted while I waited.  We ate at 7: when we got home & I went to bed until time to go to work couldn't sleep.  Ivard went to bed until 9: then Gene took him up to depot to go to G.F. with some guy.

Ray can walk on his foot now

I came home from work & ate & watched T.V & read paper & went to bed at 10: & Ivard got up.

Jerry took ray to doctor & his foot is OK.  They came home & went up town with Ray Gene to buy some new shoes.

Ray didn't go to school today

I woke up at 1:15 & Ivard went back to bed with me at 2: but Inever did get to sleep.

Jerry fixed supper & we ate at 5: & I took Jerry to work at D.q. at 6: till 11:30.

I went to bed but was too sick to go to sleep, just laid there until time to go to work, I drove alone.

Ray went on a progressive supper & ended up at Madisons for Desert & cottage meeting, I was supposed to go to Madisons but didn't feel like it

Gene took Ivard up to catch the train for Glenns Ferry at 8:10.

Kids went to school then we went got up & read paper & Ivard & Gene went out to earigate their grain

I mixed bread-washed some cloths & iorned all afternooon.

Arleene stoped & gave me a dish of artificial nestersuns Vanda sent me.

All Ivard & Gene did was take tractor wheel off & bring in to fix.

At 3:45 Jackie & I had a bath & got ready & went to dancing class went up to D.q. & had drink on way home.

Jerry cooked supper & we ate when we got home & I went to bed but never could go to sleep, stomach ache.

Jerry didn't work today, he went to M_Men Gleaners tonite

I went back to work tonite, first time in 2 weeks.  I had to drive, all the rest of guys were laid off today in big lay off.

Kids went to school and Jerry took Ray up.  We watched shows then Jerry went up to bank & put Kays money in & got some penny cartons & came home & we finished bagging the $50. worth of pennies I got Friday.

Ivard got home from Glenns Ferry at 11:, rode a freight, His day off.

He took me up town & turned the Pennies in & we paid bills then we went to Caldwell to Simplots & got my check & stoped at Quick-curb & had hamberger & root beer then went out to see the tractor at place hes farming went to bank & pd. more bills.  Came home at 3:30 & Jerry went & got Ray.  Jerry cooked supper & we ate & just got through at 5:30 when Mrs Kotter brought Gene home from Rexburg.  I took Jerry up to work at D.q. at 6: & went on up to Church & droped Ray off to go to Idaho City Swimming Dean did dishes & went to Mutual with Bishop.  Ivard had bath & we played 2 games scrabble then Gene & I went up & got us all a Super Sundee.  I got books up.  I still have a bad cough & didn't go to work.

got up late.  read paper in bead.

Gene, Ray & Dean went to Priesthood & Sunday school & Dale went too, so they wouldn't have to make an extra trip.  Jackies is still sick & me.

Jerry went to work at D.q. at 11: to 5: he walked up.  I crocheted.

When Kids got home Dean cooked dinner and Gene made a cake & we ate about 4:

I went & got Jerry at 5: & he hurried & got ready & at 5:30 Jerry_Gene, Ray & Dean went to 2nd Ward Church to John Poppelton's farewell.  Dale got ready & went to our church with Smalls, left just as Jerry came to get him.  Jerry went to Middleton & Ray went to Palmers until about 9: & Dean stayed to Church in our ward with Dale.  Gene came home & changed & at 8: left for Rexburg with Mrs Kotter & John to take Kurt & Cathy Butler back to school.

We watched T.V.

Plant is down tonite.

Sunny & cool breeze.

I stayed in bed late, I still don't feel very good.

Dean made hot cakes & cleaned up house.  I washed 4 batches of cloths and spent all afternoon crocheting & going through Pennies for collection.

Jerry went to work at Dairy q. 9:30 to 6:

I made chicken chow mein for supper, most of them liked it.

Kids watched T.V. all evening.  Jerry & Ray went up to D.q. a few min. to fix icecream machine for them

I kept Jackie in bed all day, bad cold.

Ivard didn't come home today, hasn't all week, can't afford it.

Plant was down tonite so don't have to go to work.

Went to bed early.

Friday, March 22, 1963

nice day.

Jerry went up & got me some plastic coin holders from Mr. Johnson & I finished bagging up pennies & he took them back to bank & got me another 5000 bag for $50. & we spent all afternoon going through them.

Gene I went up town with Jerry & went & got cow payment & some chicken feed and $28. worth of groceries.  came home & fixed hambergers & all the trimmings & ate supper & Jerry went to work at D.q. 6: to close.

Gene & I did pennies until about 10:30 & I went to bed.  Gene stayed up & watched T.V. & went after Jerry.

Jackie & I still haven't gotten over the flue.

I stayed in bed late, I still feel awful.

I withdrew $200. out of my secret Savings account, came in mail this morning.  Haven't much left.  I made out payments & Jerry took them up to mail for me when he took my money to bank, got me some stamps & a bag of 5000 Pennies from Parking meters and me & Gene spent all afternoon & evening going through them & bagging them up again.  I found 2 or 3 real good ones I never did have.

Ray took Dean & Dale out for their Piano lesson after Dale came from Primary.  Jackie was too sick to go today

Jerry fixed supper.

Jerry went to work at D.q. 6: to close, Gene stayed up & went after him

I went to bed at 10: too sick to go back to work yet.

Kids went to school & Ivard got up & went out to their farm & finished planting grain (wheat) was gone all day, got home about 6: & had a bath & we ate supper.

I didn't feel godo enough to do anything today.  stayed in bed most of day.

Jerry cooked supper.  Dean & Dale went to cub Scouts, Jerry & Gene took them after they went & got Ray.

The new missionaries for Nampa stoped in to get aquainted.

at 7:30 I rode up & had drink at D.q. with Ivard then up to R.R. & he got a pass to go back to Glenns F. to work.  I sat & talked to him until train left at 8:25 then I came home & went to bed.

Too sick to go back to work.

Jerry went to work at D.q. 6: to close, Gene stayed up & watched T.V. & went & got him.

Kids all went to school, Dean felt better.

Ivard & Gene went out to place & worked all day, came home at noon for lunch & Ivard fixed it.  I was too sick

Jackie & I were in bed most all day or laying out in front room.

Sis was too sick for dancing lesson

Jerry went to bank & got hair cut & bought groceries home & cooked supper.  Shrimp salad, fresh asparagus, beef pie & cottage cheese & Sherbet.

Jerry didn't have to work today.

He went to M_ Men & Gleaners tonite.

Gene came home at 5: & ate with us then went back & got Ivard at dark.

We doctored & went to bed early

Sunny, cool breeze all day.

I felt awful, I guess I've got the flu all over again.

Ivard got home from Glenns Ferry about 10:, for his 2 days off, and him & Gene went out & worked the ground all day on their share crop place.

I changed bunk beds & washed 4 batches of cloths.

I feel terrible, my chest hurts, my head is splitting & I'm burning up.  I called doctor but he was out, was supposed to call me back but he never.

Jerry called work & laid me off.  Jackies sick too.

Ivard got home at dark, half dead, cold & tired driving from Glenns Ferry after working all night then working out in cold all day.  He took a bath & came to bed.

Kids didn't go to Mutual tonite, don't feel very good.

Ray took Jerry up to work at D.q. at 6: & Gene went & got him at midnite.

Jerry stayed in bed until noon.  He doesn't feel good yet.  He went to work at 2: to 10: He cooked dinner.

Gene, Ray & Dale went to church tonite Dean made a cake & we had cake & milk before they left.

We watched a show, Two then doctored & went to bed.

Sunny _ cool wind _ cloudy this afternoon

cloths dried good.

I came home from work & changed my bed & washed 5 batches of cloths.  Ivard got home from G. Ferry at 10:15.

Jerry went to work 9:30 to 6: Gene took him up.

Dean is sick but he made waffles & cocoa for breakfast then sat wraped up in a blanket & watched T.V. all day.

Gene went out to ground they are going to farm to see if it was dry enough to do.  Ivard went to bed & at 10:30 Jackie & I went to Kotters & Helen cut my hair & gave me a clairal color shampoo & I gave her one I furnished it.  came home at 12:45 & tended cloths then went out to Yorgensens & got me a 3 new pr. garments, went up to D.q. on way & had drink.

Ray went to store & bought a bunch of fruit & made a big fruit salad for their supper

Dale went selling seeds & to library.

I don't feel good.  My nite off

At 7: Ivard & I went up to church house to Relief Society birthday dinner & programe real good, roast beef dinner.

Came home at 9: & Ivard left for Glenns Ferry.  I went to bed Kids are dumping a sound.

I came home from work & Ivard was already home from Glenns F.  We read paper & Ivard went to bed & I was until 11: helping Gene finish looking at Pennies & bagging them up, 5000.  I went to bed at 11: & got up at 3:45 & Ivard & I & Jackie went up to bank & took Genes pennies back & got his money _ & paid bills.

We came home at 5:15 & Jerry had supper ready & wet ate & Ivard & I went to bed I never did get to sleep.  Ivard got up at 9: & left for Glenns F.

Gene & Ray took Jerry to work at D.q. at 6: to 10: & they went ward teaching then went to Caldwell to show with Kotter boys, Kurt is home.  first time Jerry has been back to work this week, he still has sore throat.

I got up at 10:30 & got ready & went to work.  Dale got me up.  Dean was sick & went to bed early.

We had ward teachers after I went to bed.

Thursday, March 14, 1963

Dale started takeing Piano lessons.

Cloudy & cold wind, snowed during nite on mountains.

I still don't feel so hot.  I washed some cloths & crochete.  Went back to work tonite after 3 nites off sick. at 3: & I went up to bank for Gene & got a bag of parking meter Pennies 5000 for $50. & we looked through them for our collection.

I left at 3:45 & took Jackie to Primary after we droped Ray off at hospital to ahve his foot ex-rayed.  Went up town & got a Piano lesson book for Dale then went back to hospital with Ray _ just got through in time to get Kids from Primary.  Came home & Ray took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens for Piano lesson.  Dale started today.  We went through Pennies until they got home then we ate & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Jerry was going to work but was still too sick so they got some one to take his place.

Sunny but cold.

Jerry is still sick & me, we neither one went to work again Today.  Patched & washed cloths.  We played 2 games of Scrabble.

We went up & had a drink at D.q. then Ivard went up to Rail Road & got a ticket on train & he went in & bought me some crochet thread.  came back & Picked Ray up at school.

Gene made a cake while we were gone & I helped him make 7 min. iceing for it when we got home.

I made goulosh & Jerry had potatoes Backed & we ate at 4:30 when Kids got home.

I took Ivard up to catch train for Glenns Ferry at 8:20 & we sat until it left, me & Sis.  we came home & went to bed.  We all went to bed early tonite.

Tuesday, March 12, 1963

Sunny but cold wind.

I got up & Kids had gone to school & Ivard had gone out to plow our share crop place by Sugar Factory.

Jerry is still sick, chills, fever, flue I guess.  I took Ray to school.

Gene got up & ate & went out with Ivard in pick-up then they went & bought a barrell of gas & came home for lunch.  Jerry cooked us a hamberger & they went back to plow.

I washed 3 batches of cloths & iorned all afternoon.  Jerry didn't have to work today.  He went & got him & I & Sis a drink.  Ivard took Jackie up & had her hair cut while he was home for lunch & she had a bath & her & Jerry had map while I iorned.

At 3:15 I took Jackie to dancing & left her then went & got Ray from school & went back with Sis.  Came home at 5:30 & Dean had supper ready & Ivard & Gene had just got home so we ate then Ivard, Jackie & I went up & got some icecream & Toping & we all had a Sunday.

Ivards day off.  I'm still too sick to go back.

I got up & read paper & ate after Kids went to school.

Ivard got home from Glenns Ferry about 10: A.M. for his 2 days off.

Jerry is sick, laid off work tonite & laid down all day.

Ivard & I went up town & got $30. worth of groc.  Gene paid me back $60.  he owned me, got his income tax back.  came home & cooked us a hamberger & had orange juice for lunch.

washed couple batches of cloths & Ivard & I played 2 games of Scrabble.

Gene & I made a chocolate Malt Cake & put marshmello between layers & carmel frosting on top & sides, sure good - had hot dogs, cottage cheese, lettuce & tomatoe salad & milk for supper.

I went to bed early, I've been sick all week end _ flu & my period.  Called in & laid off work a couple of days.

Jerry went to bed early.

Ray & Dean went to mutual.

I never got up until about 10: I'm sick.

Ray & Dean took Jerry to work at D.q. on their way to Priesthood then Ray came home & took Dale & Jackie up to Sunday school.  Gene didn't get up until noon.  He's half sick.

I crochete & never fixed dinner until after Kids got home at 2:30.

We watched T.V.

Gene & Ray went away for a while.

I went & got Jerry at 6: he doesn't feel good but he went to church with Ray & Dean & him & Ray went to Fireside after.

Gene didn't feel good & stayed home again.  We watched T.V awhile.

I got up at 1: & Dean had house cleaned

I washed some cloths & here come Gail, Lynda, & Baby so we woke Ivard up.  They visited awhile & went to Boise.

I made a banna pudding & cooked a ham & fixed supper & we ate when Jerry came home from Dairy q. at 6:

Gene got home from Nyssa at 7: & cleaned up & ate.  He quit his job, too for to drive.

We watched T.V. & Ivard went to bed a couple of hrs.  he left for Glenns Ferry at 9:

I came home from work & ate & read paper & watched "Real McCoy's" & went to bed at 9:30.  I woke up at 1: & worked on my books.

Jerry & Jackie went & got Ray home from hospital at 12:30.  He feels OK but has feaver sores all around his mouth.

Jerry went up to D.q & got us a drink & I went back to bed at 2:30

Gene didn't come home from work at Nyssa tonite, stayed over to Gails.

I took Jerry up to went to work at D.q. at 6: & took car.

Kids went to bed early & I went to bed until time to go to work.

I came home from work & ate & read paper & figured out what to do with my check.  I went to bed at 10: Dale went back to school

Jerry & Jackie left at 1: & went & bought a plant for Ray & went to hospital to visit him.  They came home at 2: & I got up & got ready & took Jerry to work at D.q. at 2:15 & Jackie & I had a hamberger & drink then we went & got groc.  Edith let me go threw the 25¢ pieces in till & I got 8 for my collection I brought groc. home & then took Jackie to Primary & went to hospital to see Ray while I waited for Kids from Primary.

Jerry got off at 4:30 & bought a bunch of stuff for lunch supper & he had it ready when we got home.  We ate & I took Dean out to Harrens for his Piano lesson.  came home at 6:30 & went to bed until time to go to work.  Jerry had to go back to work at D.q. 8: to 11:

Gene came home from work at Nyssa & bathed & ate & watched T.V. until I got up.

Ivard left for work in Glenns Ferry for the week

Ray went to hospital.

Dale was home sick in bed all day-OK, tonite.

warm & mild - cool in nite

Gene drove to Nyssa to work, left at 7: got home at 7:30.

I came home from work & ate, read paper & went to bed.

Ray still has a feaver & can't even keep his medecine down.  I talked to Dr. & he said to put him in hospital so I took him up at 5: He has flu but his main trouble is his tonciles, I guess

Ivard spent all day takeing plow over to place hes going to run & I took him out to Wallys to get tractor & he workedo n it.

Jerry got supper & I got up & ate & took him to work at D.q. 6: to close.  Gene went & got him.

Ivard cleaned up & packed & left for Glenns Ferry to work.  He will stay all week & be home Monday his day off.

I went back to bed at 7:30 until time to go to work.

Gene got home from work in Nyssa at 7:45 & bathed & ate had a nap & watched T.V until time to go get Jerry.

I came home from work & ate & washed 3 batches of cloths & went to bed at 10:

Ivard went up to R.R. & got a job in Glenns Ferry.  his day off today.

Ivard took Jerry to work at D.q 11:30 to 6:

Ivard woke me up at 3: & said teacher had brought Ray home sick & he took him on up to Dr's office.  I took Jackie to dancing & I left her then went up to doctor with Ray, has a temp. of 102.8 got a few pills for 7. & brought him home then Ivard & I went & got Jackie & went to D.q. & had drink.  Came home & Dean had supper ready Dale & I went & got Ray some juice & icecream & got Jerry & we ate & Jerry went to M. Men Gleanes.

Dean did dishes & at 7:25 Ivard took Dean & Dale up to church to cub Scout meeting.

Jackie & I went to bed at 7:30

I went to work at 11:15

Gene came home from Nyssa & cleaned up & stay all nite - has a job at co-op spreading fertilizer

I got up & changed all 5 beds & washed 7 big batches of cloths got them dry outside.

Ivard & I went to Caldwell to bank & drew out $50.  for Ray, he needed for his bills.  We stoped at D.q & got us all a drink & hamberger & brought home for lunch.

Ivard & I & Jerry got beds made & Rays back room cleaned.

I iorned all afternoon 45 pieces

Ray came home from school & went & paid bills.

Jerry got supper & we ate & he went to work at 6: to close.

Ivard did dishes & Ray & Dean went to mutual.  Dale went selling seeds.

Ivard & I went to bed at 7: Ivard thought he would flout but didn't.  He got up & watched show when I went to work.

He got bumped to extra board & it isnt doing anything so he's going to Glenns Ferry.

Gene didn't come home, said he'd be back today.

Ivard & Dean had to go at 9: to Pass Fast offerings then they stayed to Sunday school & testimony meeting, Ivard payed titheing.

Gene batched & got ready & left for Owyhee to Church then go see Gail, supposed to come home monday nite.

Ray & Jerry went to Priesthood & Dale went too so he'd have a way.  Kept Jackie in bed, she feels a lot better today.  I cooked dinner.

Jerry walked home after sunday S. & ate & went to work at 2: at D.q.

Ivard & Kids got home at 2:40 & we ate.

Ivard went to work at 3:40, last day, got bumped, can't hold a regular job in Nampa now.

Watched T.V.  Gail Lynda & Kids came for couple of hrs.  went after Jerry at 11: & had to wait hr.

Ivard, Dean & Dale went & got hair cut.

Kept Jackie in bed all day, sick

They sat around watching T.V. all day.

Ivard went to work at 3:45.  I fixed lunch first.

Jerry worked at Dairy q. 11: to 6:

I crocheted & read my new relief society magazine this afternoon & watched T.V.

Dean made some giner snaps & we had them & cocoa for our supper.

Jerry & Gene didn't go any where tonite.  Ray left with Phill about 4: & never got home until 1: AM.  went with out coat he'll be sick.

I took Jackie & went to bed at 8:30.  My nite off.

Kids went to school before we got up.

Jackie is sick, feaver, Kept her in bed all day.

I got up at 10: & I had a shower & read paper.

Jerry went up town awhile & paid bills & got his laways out.  He brought us a hamberger & drink for lunch.

Ivard _ Gene & I played 2 games of Scrabble.

At 3:20 Ivard - Gene & I went & got Ray & went up & Paid place, Hales & Wards & got a few groc. & got the plow sheers they had sharpened.

Gene bought licence for pick-up so he could use it and got him a new drivers licence.  Came home & Jerry had supper ready & we ate at 5:30.

I called up & told them I'd be to work tonite

Ivards nite off.

Jerry went to Our Gold & Green ball. & to Nyssa Music festival.
