Gail left on weeks vacation to Utah & Park Ray moved in with Jerry

Gail got new Plymouth Station W.

Had Piano tuned

Rays day off, worked 6: to close got up & washed a bunch of cloths. Piano tunner was her all morning.

Glen Carter came in his pick-up & helped Ray move his desk, bed & Jerrys Sterio, then Ray made 2 or 3 trips with car.

I scrubbed 2 throw rugs & starched all my new crochet work & pinned on to dry.

At 4: Ray came & we took a load up to his apt. & I went with him & lynda met us there in their new tan plymouth Station wagon she had just picked up & we went up to new store (Deco) & each bought 2 new throw rugs on sale. Lynda droped us off & went home to pack & Ray & I moved the bed room around & set up his bed & made it & at 6: I took him to work & Picked up Dean, Dale & Sis they'd been on Dairy q truck all afternoon with Jerry, he worked till close. I finished crocheting a set for Ray & got it Pinned out & at midnite went up to D.q. & had hamberger.

Ivard came home again, rode up with Brumble. Jackie did her Harem number. No more Primary until school starts. We stoped at D.q. & Dean, Jackie & I had our lunch. Came home & washed & crocheted & got supper

Lynda brought Dale home & he went on D.q. truck this afternoon with Jerry they came & had supper at 5:30 & Jerry went to work at D.q. Ray came home & Dean went Home Teaching & Ray came home & went to Tupper Ware Party at Ediths. Jerry & Dean came at 8: & we took Ivard to catch train & Jerry home

Ivard came home again, rode up with Brumble. He went to bed and Dean droped Jackie & I off at Primary & he took Dale up to Gails to tend Kids then he came back & watched Sis dance it was closeing social & they had talent show. Me & Ray watched T.V. & went up to D.q. at 10:30 & had drink

Ivard got home about 1:30 A.M changed days off & cought freight, walked from Kings.

I couldn't sleep till nearly morning got up at 10: after I read paper in bed.

Dean took Ray to work at D.q. 9:30 to 6: & Dale went up & cleaned yard and went on truck with Jerry. they came by at 11:30 & took Dean.

I had bath & went up to Post office & met Federal Income tax man about Genes tax. Say he owes $135 they will check.

Ivard Picked couple of cases of black berries for Howard Broumbow.

I crocheted & patched & at 2:30 Ivard & Jackie took me up to sign for unemployment got meat & stoped at D.q & had drink & a bolt of lightening struck right close regular cloud burst for half hr. I got supper & when Kids came we ate out on lawn. We went up to D.q. & got some boxes & another storm hit, wind real hard then it rained. Broumbah came & got berries at 7:30 & Ivard went back to G.F with him, Dale went to S.S party at Dibes.

Rays day off. got up & went to Lyles & Jerrys & came home at 10: & Dean took Dale & Jackie for their Piano lesson, he didn't take his, no practice. Kids woke me up at 10: I finally got to sleep about daylight. Kids came at 11:15 & Ray took off for hair cut & Dale went to clean D.q.

Mrs. Taylor came relief society T.

I washed Deans dirty cloths from trip & crocheted & patched a few things. Dale went on D. q truck with Jerry until 6: then Jerry had to work at Dq 6: to close

Dean & I fixed supper & Ray came & we ate & Dean did dishes. Ray went to Phil Murrys & they went miniture-golfing.

Gail & family came awhile & Lyle a min. I watched T.V. until it went off air. Ray came home & finished watching show

Sent Gene letter & his money

hot. Dean got home from Valley Forge

I didn't get to sleep until 4:30 A.M didn't feel good, then Ray woke me up to take him to work.

Dale got up early & cleaned up house & did dishes, figures Dean will be home today, then he went up to D.q & worked & waited for Jerry to take truck out.

I wrote letter to Gene & went up to Jerrys, he was just walking to D.q, & Jerry went up to bank & got Genes check for me & mailed in his letter. took jerry to D.q & we had lunch & Jackie & Dale went on truck with Jerry. I crocheted all afternoon. at 5:20 I called R.R & they said train got in at 5: so I went up but couldn't find Dean came home & he was here. Jerry had got him on D.q. truck

Ray went to M-Men Party with Dennis We went to bed at 9: I got up at 11:30 & watched show, too hot to sleep.

Ivard got here at 9:30 some guy bought his gas to bring him home besides he's changed jobs & doesn't have tomorrow off, Wed. & Thurs. now

He took Dale to priesthood, late, didn't wake up. came home & just got in bed when he had to get up & take Sis to Primary. I read paper in bed & worked on puzzle. I got up & Ivard went to bed until noon then he got up & watched ball game & Jackie & I went to bed. Ivard came in after ball game. Ray went to work 10: till 5: then went to Church & Fireside with Dennis. got home at 12:30.

Gail came for awhile

Ivard, Dale & Sis went to church I didn't feel up to it, got Genes money I had snack fixed when they got home & Ivard left for Glenns F. I dashed up to D.q & got milk, Jerry was working got back & watched show.

When we woke up Jean had gone, early before heat. no one even heard them. Ray came home & got ready & I took him up to work at D.q. 10: to 6: Dale went up & cleaned yard and helped out. Sis & I went up & had lunch & Dale & Jackie went to Boise to 24th Parade with Dennis, got home at 7: Jerry went out on truck alone.

I iorned all afternoon

I feel awful.

I took Ray up to Dennis at 8: & came home then at 9: me & Kids went up to D. q. & had banna split & Jerry was working.

Came home & Kids went to bed & I watched T.V. until it went off the air.

read paper in bed. Never got up until 9:, was sick all nite. watched 2 hr. parade from Salt Lake Pioneer celebration 9: to 11:.

Ray got up at 10:45 & took off, his day off_ works tonite.

Washed more bedding

Dale went & cleaned D.q. yard then scrubbed & waxed front room. Jerry came at noon & took Dale on D. q. truck.

Ray came home & had bath & I took him to work at 3: to close. (Karen was sick.

Dale came home at 6: & went up to Kurts Park to Ward Celebration, Jerry went to work at D.q. 6: to close & Ray went home with him

Jackie & I went up to D.q & had our supper & was talking & at 9: Dale came & brought Jean Batt & kids from Spokane. We went home & talked until 11:30 & went to bed, Lyle came & saw here too.

Thursday, July 23, 1964

quite a bit cooler today. I got up & went up to Gails & got Jackie & brought her home then took Ray to work at D.q. while she got ready & I took her to Primary. I sat & crocheted while I waited for her. Came home & washed 3 electric Blankets & changed Rays bed & washed it. I crocheted in between. I don't feel too good.

Dale was up to D.q. messing around all morning then this afternoon he cleaned his bed room & scrubbed & waxed Kitchen & dineing room.

I cooked supper & made stuffed Peppers. We ate when Ray got home at 6:15.

Had home teachers then Ray went to see Jerry & went to show alone. I went to bed at 10:30

I feel awful. Ray went to work 9:30 to 6:

Ivard worked on fence & hoed a few weeds.

I washed clotchs & some bedding.

Ivard & I played Scrabble most of afternoon.

Lynda & Kids came at 2: & Jackie went home with them & stayed all nite.

at 2:30 Ivard took me up to sign for unemployment then we got groc & came home & I fixed supper

Dale went on Dairy q. truck all afternoon with Jerry

We ate when Ray got home & he took off for Jerrys. Dale did dishes & we got ready & Ivard & I & Dale went up to Jerrys house warming gave Jerry 6 place settings of wheat design dishes & Dennis 2 Towels. Ivard left at 9:30 for Glenns Ferry.

I feel awful. I didn't do much. washed bedding & crocheted.

Rays day off. He was gone all day up to Gails & Jerrys & messing around.

Ivard didn't get much done either got home at 9: & slept until after noon.

About 5:30 00 Ivard, Jackie & I went up to Wards & got some plastic mattress covers & a pad on their 10% discount sale then we drove around looking at houses for sale & went to D. q. & had our supper.

Dale was on D.q. truck all afternoon with Jerry & so was Ray.

Monday, July 20, 1964

hot_ breeze, Kept saying it would get to 100 but it only got to 91°.

I sure feel awful & my eyes burn & itch until I could scream, I feel awful besides.

Gail called & wanted Dale to go on route so Ivard took him up to M & W right after he got home at 6:30.

Ivard slept until noon then got up & went to store for Ray & came home & popped corn all afternoon for Road show for him.

We ate & at 7: Ray, Dale & Jackie took off for road show. & I took Ivard up to catch train at 8:15. It was his day off but had chance to go back & work tonite. Kids were supposed to be home at 9: instead Nancy took them to Caldwell I was sure mad - never got home 12:30

I read paper in bed then got up & took Dale to Priesthood. took Ray up to open up D.q. at 10: then came home & at 10:30 took Jackie to sunday school.

I feel awful, worked on puzzle.

Nancy brought Kids home & at 2:30 we went up to D.q . & had dinner, came home & got my books up & had a nap.

I got up & watched T. V. Ray came from work.

Ray & Dale went to church & Sis & I went to bed I felt awful.

Ray went up to Bettys after church & peped & baged pop corn until midnite for ward show Tomorrow nite. Dale came home & went to bed

Saturday, July 18, 1964

Dale got home from Scout Camp

hot & breezy

We got off work for 2 days then they called & said we were laid off until further notice

I came home & laid down & was just about asleep when I had to get up & take Ray to work at 9:30. That went on all day & I never did get to sleep.

Dale got home from scout camp about 4: & mowed neighbors lawn & most of ours, went up & cleaned D.q. yard & did up all weeks dishes.

I went hunting Jerry at 6:30 but he wasn't home yet, he was supposed to be to work at D.q. he came about 8: & Ray came home & went to dance with Ron Garner. I went to bed, I was dead my legs & ankles hurt so bad. Lyle came about 9: but me & Sis were in bed

I went back to work at Simplots

95°, little breeze.

Rays day off but he had to work from 9:30 to 1: for Edith so she would work for him tonite from 6: to 10: then he'll work 10: to close him & Jackie went up town & he paid Dr. Cluster off then he took Sis to work & she cleaned D.q. yard & helped dip dillys they got home at 1: & Nancy came & they made posters for Road show.

I washed bedding & crocheted all day

I got called back to Simplots at 4: for tonite, they've working 2 days on about a 10 day run

Ray got ready & left for Weiser at 6: for wedding reception, Pearl & his Girl are supposed to come from Provo he got home & Practiced at Road show then came home at 10:25 & took Jackie up to D. q & tended her & worked until close, 1: AM

I had to go to work at 11: at Simplots

Jackie woke me up at 8:30 to answer phone so I read yesterday & todays papers & ate & at 9:30 took Ray to work then I got ready & took Jackie to Primary & came home & made out payments & went & got her at 11:30 & we went & paid bills & got stamps & mailed letters. stoped at D.q at noon & had lunch & came home & I was all afternoon working on my books & washing 3 batches of cloths.

I wrote a letter & a birthday card (2) & Jackie & I went up & mailed them, about 8:30, to Dean.

Ray came home from work to Betty, Pat & them came & got him & they went over to Stake house to road show practice.

Cloudy & sunny

I got up at 8:15 & Ivard & Sis took me up to sign up for unemployment & meeting at 8:30 to 9:20 & they went & got check then we came home & took Ray to work & Jackie cleaned D.q. yard. Came home & did chores & at 10: we went up & had milk Shake & left for warm lake, stoped & got gas & cashed Ivard's check. got up there at 1: & walked around & found Kids over at Lodge they sure hate it, even Jerry, Don Taylor really filed them up. Were supposed to be there Sat & when they didn't come till Monday they wouldn't let them percipitate as camp members. we left for home at 3:30 & stoped in Cascade for supper. got home at 8:30, gased up & went to store & got groc. had snack & Ivard bathed & left for G. F. at 9:30 & Sis & I went to bed, I was burned & so tired. Nice & cool up there Ray went to Rodeo.

Ray had Stanley Party

hot & I feel awful

I washed 3 batches & hung out. We went up & had soda & Ivard & I played Scrabble.

Rays day off & he was chaseing all day. he took Jackie out for her Piano lesson.

at 7: Ivard & I & Jackie went up to Gails & watched Rodeo parade then came home & was at Rays Stanley Party. he had over $80. party & 4 bookings & got a pr. of lamps he wanted at 9: we went up to "Paul's Pizza" & had supper Ivard, Jackie & I. I had a shrimp salad & onion rings stoped at D.q & had drink It was 11: time we got home I was sick all nite. Ivard slept with Sis she was scared to sleep in there alone.

Dale & Jerry went to Camp Billy Rice for week.

I got up at 4:30 A.M. & got Dale up to church at 5: to go to Scout Camp, he forgot his Physical sheet & we had to dash back home. When we got there, there sat Jerry he's going with them, couldn't get anyone else. came home & went back to bed awhile took Ray to work & Sis cleaned D. q. yard then we went & I voted on Sewer bond. then up & bought Ray a Wallet & took to D. q & gave him for his birthday & had soda came home & crocheted

had supper ready when Ray got home & we ate & he did dishes then went to M-Men & Gleaners. I went to bed early- sick.

Ivard got home around midnite changed jobs & has Mon. & Tuesday off now.

had to get up & get cow in then went back to bed & read paper.

Ray doesn't work today. Him & Dale went to Priesthood & sunday school & Ray came home & took Sis.

I worked on cross word puzzle got books up. wrote letters & got dinner. My eyes are driveing me crazy today.

Wrote Mother & Kay & letter for Dale so he'd get one at Scout Camp Tomorrow when he gets there. Kids came home & Ray brought hambergers & shakes. He went to Stake meeting & brought Jerry back few min.

Lyle & family came awhile & brought Ray birthday PResent while he was gone.

Jackie & I took Dale to church & went & mailed letters then went & got him. stoped at D.q. & had soda & sat until about 10:30 watching Crowd & bug catcher.

Ivard went to Glenns Ferry after 2 days off

hot. I was sick all nite & don't feel very good today. washed batch of cloths & crocheted. Ivard hoed garden & took Dale up for Scout physical but Dr. & nurse didn't get together so he ahd to go back at 1: I took him up & left him & Jerry picked him up on Dairy queen route so he could help.

Rays day off (works tonite) he was delivering tupper ware all day. went & got Jerry & he came & got his mail & went up & took D. q. truck out this afternoon.

Ivard left for Glenns Ferry at 2:20 has to be to work at 4: been onery all time he was home.

D. q truck broke down so Kids were back early.

Ray went to work at D. q. 6: to 1:, I took him up.

I staed up until T.V. went off the air.

washed my hair.

got 2 letters from Gene

got real cool in nite_breeze_ Sunny & cool breeze today, not quite so hot.

Ray went to work & Dale went & cleaned D.q. yard. Ivard took Sis to Primary & came home & we ate breakfast & when Dale got home they went & got Sis from Primary.

Ivard hoed. I don't feel very good, crocheted, took Genes 2 letters up to D.q. for Jerry to read & Dale went to go on D.q. truck this afternoon with Jerry. He'd been to unemployment office. Jackie ask Mr. Johnson for Dales job cleaning yard while Dale was to Scout Camp & he said she could. Mr. Johnson gave Dale $5. for Scout trip. real nice.

at 1:45 Ivard took Sis up & droped her off to see "Little Red Rideing Hood" & he went & had Desoto greesed & oil change & got some gorc. While he waited for her & brought them home & I cooked supper & he went & got Sis at 3:30, got home at 4:40. Jerry came in D. q. wagon & stoped & went again for half hr & came back & had supper. had flat tire on D.q. W. so Ivard fixed it. They went to Road show Practice. We watched T.V. Ivard slept with Jackie.

Jerry got fired from Safe way

hot 99° up on bank. I took Ray to work & right after I got home he called & said Jerry got fired from Safeway because he wouldn't work a lot of extra hrs. for nothing. Union told him not too.  I took Sis over to Forsgrins to play when I took Ray & went & got her at 12:30 & her & I & Dale went to D.q. & had space burger. I crocheted all day.

Mr. Johnson had Jerry work all day & at 4:30 him & Dale took D.q. truck out until 8:, Jerry can run it until he finds job

Ivard called at 4:30 & I went up to yard office & got him. He got bumped off brakeman board this morning & went back switching with Wed. & Thursday. off.

Gail & family came at 5:30 for about hr. & Edith stoped in awhile when she brought Ray home.

At 7: Ivard, Jackie & I went up to Hong Kong & had supper & went for ride, stoped at D.q. & Jerry, Ray & Dale were there with 8 at & Virginia so they all got in with us & we went up too Jerrys apt. awhile, took them all back to D.q & had drink & we came home. Ray had to work awhile

Tuesday, July 7, 1964

Dean left for Valley Forge for 3 weeks Jerry moved into apartment.

100° Jerry & Rays day off.  Jerry took Dean up to Rail Road to check his big bag for Valley forge & have his picture taken. and Dale rode his bike out to Hurrens for Piano L Jerry came back & they got their books & he took Dean & Jackie out for their lesson & he went up town & went back & got them. They came home at noon & loaded up & went up to Jerrys new apt. then came back & got another load & I went with them & Lyle came & took a load then went & got Barbra & showed her. real nice huge living room, dineing room, Kitchen big bedroom & tiled bath on 12th ave, in basement. Dean went & got hair cut & I washed it. We ate supper at 4:

at 6:30, Lyle, Gail & families came & Jerry bought a fancy decorated birthday cake & icecream & we had a birthday party on Dean before he left. We had to be up to depot at 8: then train was late & never came until 10:45. long waite. took Jerry to his apt. & helped him make bed. Dale went to Mutual & still saw Dean off. Ray went to T. ware Party. Lyle came.

Monday, July 6, 1964

hot. Ivard called at 6:30 A.M & I went up to Rail Road & got him he was too many times out to work today so he came back home & went to bed. I stayed up & read paper & changed Kids beds & washed up all the cloths.

Ray went to work at D.q. 9:30 to 6:30.

I cooked roast & Jackie & Dean made up beds. Ivard got up & fixed fence.  Then we took Kids & went up town & saw Jerry a min then Ivard took his shaver back to S&H Green Stamps for new one & Dean & I went to drug store & got his film & stuff for Valley Vorge. got a few groc. & came home & cooked supper & when Jerry & Ray got home we ate & Dean did dishes. Jerry & Ray went to M. Men & Gleaners & me & Kids took Ivard up to Catch 8:15 train We stoped at D.q. while Dale cleaned yard. went to bed when we got home

Plenty warm

Jerry_Dean & Dale went to Priesthood Sunday school & Fast meeting. Jerry came home & took Jackie.

I read paper in bed & got up & was working on puzzle when Ivard came about 10:30, got ride up with some guy. I stayed home in case he should call. He listened to & watched ball game. We played Scrabble & Ivard helped make my bed.

Ray opened up D.q & worked until 5: Jerry had to go until close 10:

Dean & Dale went & passed Faster offerings after we ate.

Ivard had to go again on 8:15 train so me, Dean, Dale & Jackie took him up then stoped at D.q. & had Deans birthday Party before he left. ate fries, space burger, 2 drinks & sundee in car. sat out there until Jerry got off at 10:15. Ray was watching T.V. when we got home.

Saturday, July 4, 1964

hot, cool Tonite & real cloudy rained little

Jerrys day off at Safeway so he worked at D.q. 9:30 to 6: Ray traded for nite shift & left up Canyon with M men & Gleaners all day. They were both gone when I woke up late. I washed 2 or 3 batches of cloths & changed my bed then didn't ever get it made & had to sleep in it that way.

Dean & Jackie cleaned up the house & we played Easy Money all afternoon, me, Dean, Dale & Jackie, Sis won. We ate early, hot dogs.

Ray got home about 5:30 & Jerry at 6: & they got ready & went to Boise to dance, M-Men Gleaner

I watched T.V. & crocheted. Ray got some one to work for him tonite Lyle came at dark & took Dean Dale & Jackie to Caldwell to Fire Works. got home at 10:45 & had sparklers on lawn.

I washed some cloths. Ivard called about 9: & I went up & got him. Dale went with Gail today on route.

This afternoon Ivard & I & Jackie went up town & paid some bills and got a book for Dean to write his Valley Forge trip in. Had drink at D.q.

Cooked supper & we ate & me & Kids took Ivard up to catch train for G.F. at 8:15. stoped at D.q & had drink & watched bug catcher awhile.

We got up early & took Ray to Caldwell to see Paroll board at 9: so we went out to Simplots first & pd my Ins for July & went to Dairy Co-op & got 5 lbs cheese. came back at 9:45 & droped Ray off at D.q to work & had drink then we went up town & Paid place & went to bank & paid bills & picked Jerry up at noon after we took Ivard to catch the train at noon, for Glenns Ferry.  Jerry had to work at D.q. this afternoon, drive Truck

made out payments & went & signed up for unemployment at 2:30 & went & got Barbra & took her to Wards, we got some shirts 4 for $5. took her to Safeways & home & came home & fixed supper. Dale & Dean went on truck, D.q, with Jerry. Took Ray up to tend Kids for Gail at 6:30, got Kristine out of hospital Today
