Ivard got up & took Jerry to work then came home & took Jackie to school & sat & read.

I read in bed until 9: then got up & ate & read paper & practiced piano 40 min.  Ivard went after his check & I got books up, fixed out check & we went & Pd. bills in a De Soto Ivard is trying out to trade his pick-up on. picked Jackie up & Dean at School then Dean got his drivers licence then We took car back & sat until Jerry was off & I crocheted.

Came home & ate, I put roast on this morning.

We took Dale up to Gails but they weren't home so we took him to Lyles with us, they were there & he went home with them.  We played penochle until 11:15 & came home & Ivard got called brakeing to Boise &a 11:30 its his day off Jerry worked on income tax.

Ivard took Jerry to work & Jackie to school.  I got up & read paper & ate & I practiced piano for 2 hrs.

Ivard had bath & went up to R.R. to see about working days off then came back & went up to see Lyle.

I crocheted and washed 2 batches of cloths then I had a bath.

Ivard went & got Sis from school & at 4: took her to Primary & Ivard Dean & I played a game of scrabble then we all went & got Jackie & went & got Jerry & went up to Gails to supper, after Gail made freezer of icecream in new freezer.  Jerry & Dean went down town & got me some more pills then Jerry had to go give a Tupperware Party.  We played Penochle.  Jerry came & got us & we came home at 10:15 & went to bed.

sent Mother Xmas - Bill letter & present Lavon Birthday card.

Cloudy & sunny _ started to snow at 1: & snowed rest of day.

Ivard took Jerry to work & Jackie to school & came back to bed.  I never woke up until he came back to bed then I read for awhile & got up & ate & fixed mothers Xmas ready to mail & a tupperware snack tray for Bill for his birthday.  sent mother 3 bath towels, 3 hand towels a juice Keeper & a sq round & her flouleer she bought. also wrote to Bill. washed 2 batches.

Ivard went & bought some coal for fireplace after he wrapped the pkgs for me.

Relief Society teachers came then we played a game of Scrabble & Ivard went & got Sis & he went To work.  I got supper & went & got Jerry & he mailed my pkg's.  We ate & Dean, Dale, Jackie & I took Jerry up to D.q to work 6: to close & we went out to Hurrens for our piano lesson.  came back to Dairy q & waited for Dale to clean up yard - Jerry gave us drink.  Came home & Dean did dishes & Dale Put up cloths.  I got books up

Kids went to school.

Jerrys day off, he went to Boise to Tupperware meeting with Phylis Howard.

Lyle came before we were up then Ivard got up & went up to see a car (he'd been up & taken Jackie to school).  I read in bed, until 10: got up & ate & worked on puzzle.  Jerry came home & went up town came home at 1:30 & met Metropolitan Life Ins guy here & talked over Ins.  Jerry bought another 10,000 policy.

Jackie came home sick so we didn't go dancing.

Ivard went to work at 4:

Jerry & Dean went & got stuff & fixed supper & we ate at 5:30.  Gail & Lynda were here few min.  Jerry went to see Bishop Then came home & Took Kids To Mutual.  My head & ears are still buzzing.

Ivard forgot to set alarm & Dean missed Seminary.  Jerry was nearly late for work.  Ivard got up & took him then took Dean, Dale & Jackie to school.

I got up at 10: & washed 2 batches of cloths, read paper, finished off ends on Jackies scarf & finished the small doillie to Jerrys set. practiced piano.

Ivard read all day, went to work at 4:

I went & got Jerry & we ate supper then I took Jerry to work at D.q. 6: to close & while I waited for Dale to clean up D.q. yard I copied a list of Aaronic Priesthood boys for Jerry.  He gave me a drink.  Came home & watched T.V. & worked on puzzle.

I still have a buzzing head & earache & cold so I didn't go back to work again went to bed at midnite, just as Ivard drove in

Ivard _ Jerry _ Dean & Dale went to Stake conference at 9: I read awhile then read paper before I got up, Lydna called & got me out of bed at 10: wanted us for dinner told her we couldn't so she wants us Thursday.  I crocheted. Had dinner ready at noon when they got back at noon & we ate then Jerry & Dean left for afternoon Session Spencer W. Kimball was up.

Dale did dishes & Ivard & Jackie went up & brought David a birthday present & the 3 of them took it up & left it, Lyle & family were to conference. Ivard went to work at 4: & Lyle stoped in after conference & left Kids to watch Wizard of Oz in color, 2 Garner Kids came too.  I took Jerry to work at D.q 5: to close after they came from conference I wrote Gene for his birthday & Dean & I drove up & put it on train & stoped on way back & Jerry gave us a drink.  came home at 7:30 & made Kids a milk shake.  I wrote to mother.  Lyle had come & got Kids. run out of oil at 8:30 & called & they brought some. went & got Jerry 10:45 Ivard came at 11:

thawed some then it rained from noon until after 7:

Ivard took Jerry to work at 7:10 & got me some medecine, I woke up with the left side of my head numb & a ear ache, like in August, started takeing medecine Dr. Daines gave me then.

Dale got up at 6:30 & walked up to college & met Gail & helped him on route today.

Dean cleaned house.  I changed my & Jerrys bed & washed them & 2 other batches, crocheted & read

Ivard watched T.V & went to work at 4:

I went to Safeway & got Jerry at 7: & took him to D.q. & I waited until 7:30, Johnson got some one else because he hadn't come at 6: Jerry got Howard girl but she didn't show up.  Dale cleaned D.q. yard.

Jerry went back to work at d.q. 9:30 to 11: Ivard got home & we watched T.V until it went off the air.

cold wind, started to snow at 12:15 and never stoped until 10: P.M about 6 in. gave myself a color shampo. washed about 6 sweaters.

Jerry got up & took Dean to Seminary then Ivard got up & took Jerry to work at 8: & Sis to School at 8:30 then he went back to bed. I got up at 9: & read paper & called Mr. Munn about being off sick so long. at 10: Ivard got up & I rode over to Simplots with him & he went in & got my check then we went to Caldwell ID & pd on my layay & got Jerrys out.  went to Safeway & got $21. worth of meat & stuff & took Jerry up town for his lunch then came home & made fire in fire place & went up to Dq. & had our lunch at 12:30.  Came home & played Scrabble.  Ivard went after Sis at 3: I started supper at Lyle called & said instead of them takeing Ivard & I to show tonite in so much snow for all of us to come for supper so we went & got Jerry from work & went streight there had nice supper & Played cards. Were home in bed by 11:

cold wind & cloudy.  I never got up until about 10: Ivard took Jerry & Sis & went back to bed.  I made jello salad for supper

I washed cloths & cleaned up a little & crocheted & read I still don't feel good.  Ivard & I played Scrabble.

Gail & Kids came awhile while Lynda went to hospital to see Debbie

I made rashes pudding for supper & put on to steam (3 hr) went & took Jackie to Primary then went to Safeway & got groc. got unexpected check from Dairymens Coop. 1955 paid in full.  When Jerry got off we went & got Sis & Came home.  we ate at 6:30.  Dean had gone home with Gail to tend Kids awhile.  Gail brought him home at 7: & he & Jerry went home teaching.  We watched T.V. Ivards nite off.

Ruby called & said I was goint to get Terminated if I didn't come back to work.

Debbie is in hospital

cloudy & sunny_ thawing - snowed little during nite, & this morning.  Jerry took Dean to Seminary then Ivard took him to work & Sis to school & he came back to bed.  I started to read "Jesus the Christ" & never got up till 10: then I streightened up_ read paper, crocheted practiced piano. Ivard had bath then went & got hair cut at 12:30, came back at 2: & brought me a drink

Barbra called & said she had Gails Kids, Lynda had taken Debbie to hospital, thought she had appendix & chicken pox, she has

washed some cloths & we played a game of Scrabble.  Ivard went to work at 4: & I wrote Ray & mailed it when I went & got Jerry.  Dean had supper ready & we ate & Dean, Dale, & I went out to Hurrens & took our piano lesson.  came home at 8: & went up to Lyles & left Dean to tend Kids & got Jerry & Jackie, they stayed until Dean came, then we went over to Gails a min to see how Debbie is.  she is in hospital with ice packs on & feels a lot better but she has chicken pox

Jerrys day off, got hair cut & did his business

got home from Boise at 2:45 & Jerry went up town so Ivard took Jackie & I to dancing at 3:30 on his way to work & Jerry Came & got us at 5: we ate & I took Jerry up to work at D.q. at 6: & went & got him at 11:15.  at 7: me & Kids took Gail a shirt for his birthday, wasn't home so left it. drove over to Lyles & Kids went in a min. Gail was there.  I took them on to Mutual then Jackie & I got some gas & stoped at D.q. min & came home & watched T.V. & crocheted.

I was in bed & asleep when Ivard got home.

I still don't feel like going to work.

Ivard took Jerry to work at Safeway after he (Jerry) took Dean to Seminary, then he took Jackie to school & went back to bed until 10:

I got up at 9: after reading a hr. finished my book.  Still have bad pain in my side.  I cleaned up house, washed my hair & all the combs & brushes & practiced piano for ½ hr. when Ivard got up we went out to Hennis to get some papers on sale of our place for Federal Income tax came home at noon & ate & washed cloths & played 2 games Scrabble.

Ivard went to work at 4: & I cooked supper & went & got Jerry at 5:30 & we ate & I took Dale up to clean his Dairy q. yard then at 7: Jerry went To church house to a meeting.  I worked on books, went to bed at 930, watched T.V. I was sick most of nite.

Dale was ordained a Deacon by Ivard

snowed 2 or 3 inches in nite & snowed & blowed all morning. thawed this afternoon.

Ivard, Jerry, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood at 9: & Dale was ordained a Deacon by Ivard, he came home at 10: & took Jackie to sunday school, she gave opening prayer.

Jerry had to be to work at D.q at 11: & I went & got him at 5:45.

I still have bad pain in my left side. I cooked hot rolls (icebox, I made yesterday) & had dinner ready when they got home at 12:20.

Ivard went to work at 4: after we played game of Scrabble, then Dale & I played.

Gail, Lynda & Kids came & watched Disneyland in color.

Jerry, Dean & Dale went to church. Jackie & I went to bed at 8:30 & I read until 11: Kids came home & went to bed

Ivard got up & took Jerry to work at Safeway at 8: & went back to bed until noon.  I woke up at 9: & laid & read until 10: then I got up.  I have such a pain in my left side I can hardly stand it

I practiced my piano lesson for hr. & made some ice-box rolls for tomorrow & put a pot of baked beans on. washed the socks & iorned all afternoon.  Ivard did the dishes after he got back from takeing Jackie up to Gails to play for afternoon.

Ivard went to work at 4:.  I went & got Sis at 5: & we got Jerry from work & went to Albertsons & he bought us $10. worth of groc. We got home at 5:40 & ate & I took Jerry up to D.q. to work 6: to close & Dale cleaned up D.q. yard. Dean & Dale got home from Scout Trip at Idaho City at 4:30. I went to bed at 9: Ivard went & got Jerry after he got home.

snowed all morning, rained tonite.  Kids went to school.  Ivard took Jerry to work at Safeway & him & sis went to to Gails & borrowed Sleeping bag for Kids school trip.  droped Sis off at school & got licence for pick-up.  I stayed in bed until about 11: reading. I'm sick.

I practiced piano, crocheted & washed some cloths.

Ivard & I played Scrabble & watched T.V. Ivards day off

Kids came home from school & got ready & at 5: Ivard & I & Jackie took Dean & Dale up to church & they went to Idaho City on scout trip until tomorrow nite.  We went & got Jerry & ate & I took Jerry up to D.q to work 6: to Close.  at 6:30 Ivard & I & Jackie went up to Lyles & Ivard & Lyle & Kids went over to Stake house to play ball. & I visited Barbra & crocheted. They came back at 8: & we played Penochle until 12:45 then went to D. queen & got Jerry.

cloudy & blustery. snowed this afternoon.

Ivard took Jerry to Safeways & Jackie to school then we got ready & went to Boise to Internal Revenue office to meet with them about our 1961-& 1962 Income tax.  We got it streighened out They checked ours about loosing our place.  We got back to Nampa at 12:30 & went to Dairy queen & had our dinner.

Ivards day off.

Ivard went & got Sis from school then we took her to Primary & went to Lyles but he wasn't home got Jerry & picked Sis up & came home & ate.  snowed all afternoon.

Ivard went home teaching & Lynn Hufbacker came here.  Jerry worked on books & wrote letters.  Dean made fudge.  Watched T.V. had fire in fire place.  I havent been to work all week havn't felt like it.

Ivard got up & took Jerry to work at Safeawy then came home & took Jackie to school & I woke up while he was gone.  He brought his check home & I figured out what to do with it & made out payments to mail then we went to Bank & paid bills then Ivard got licence for car & I went to Safeway & got few groc. & talked to Jerry & Bill while I waited.  We stoped at D.q. on way home & had our dinner.  went home at 1: & worked on books, washed 2 batches of cloths, & iorned 12 shirts for Jerry.  Ivard unpluged my washer drain.  I took Ivard to work at 3:50 & got sack of coal & waited for Jerry & got my diary up.  Came home & Dean had supper ready & we ate & we took Jerry to work at D.q 6: to close, on our way out to Hurrens to Piano lessons came home at 8: & I went up to D.q. & had drink & got milk.  I don't feel good.  didn't go to work again.

Dale was 12 today.  Ivard took Jerry to Safeway & Sis Jackie to school.  I still don't feel good.  I read in bed until 10: then got up.  Ivard went back to bed until noon.  Jerrys day off & he never got up until noon so I crocheted so I wouldn't wake them.

I washed one batch of cloths but drain don't work good, about froze up.

I made Dale a Birthday Cake & Jerry went up & paid some bills.  I got ready & at 3:30 Ivard & I droped Jackie off at dancing then I took Ivard to work & came back.  We got home from dancing at 5:20 & Jerry had Dales birthday supper ready & we jsut started to eat when Wally B. came on church business so Jerry was late for work at D.q. I took him at 6:25 & waited until he sharpened his safeway knives.  Dean did dishes & I came home & took Dean & Dale to Mutual.  Lyle, Barb & Kids came when I got back & brought Dale 2 games He got 2 books lincoln logs & cherry chocolates.  I went to bed sick & had to get up at 11: & go get Jerry & went after Ivard at midnite.

1° last nite. dreary all day & cold.

I feel awful.  I spent all day working on last years (62) income tax so we can get our money back

Ivard took Jerry to work & Jackie to school.

Ivard took his pick_up to Parma to sell some guy but he wasn't there so they left it & Lyle brought him home then I had to take him to work at 4:, Jackie & I, so we went up to Gails after & stayed until time to get Jerry.  We tended Angie while Lynda took other Kids to Primary.  Came home at 5:30 & fixed supper & we ate & Dean & Jerry did their Home teaching got home at 10:30 so they took Lyle a blue shirt up for his birthday He was 28 years old Today.

We were supposed to go back to work tonite but I was too sick.  laid off.  Practiced Piano

Had to get Ivard at midnite, I don't think it will work out selling Pick-up.

cold but sunshine all day

Ivard, Jerry & Dean went to Priest hood at 9: started at new time today Ivard took Jerry up to open up D. queen after, at 10: to 5:, then he came & took Jackie & Dale to Sunday school.  I didnt dare go, I'm too sick, my period.

I sat & crocheted & read papers

They came home at 12:15 & I fixed dinner & we ate.  Ivard wouldn't talk or doing anything but watch T.V. so I went to bed at 2: when I woke up at 4: he'd gone to work.

Lyle came a min.

I went & got Jerry at 5: & he brought some stuff home & I made us each a milk shake on my new blender.

Jerry, Dean & Dale left for church at 6:40 & after "Bonanza" Jackie & I went to bed, when she was asleep I got up & watched T.V. Dean went to Fireside & Jerry & Dale Came home & went to bed. Worked on income tax.

16° when we came home from work.  foggy all nite & today.  I changed cloths & ate & read paper & went to bed until 2: then got up & helped Dean change the beds & make them in their room.  I washed 6 batches of cloths.

Dean cleaned up house & made cookies.

Ivard took Jackie up to Lyles this morning to play & Lyle brought her & Dale home at 2:30

Dale & I went after Jerry & got $24 worth of groc. came home at 5:40 & Jerry grabbed a bite & I took him up to D.q to work 6: until close.  I waited while Dale cleaned Dairy q. yard.  Came home & made Jello salad for tomorrow.  Crocheted & watched T.V. Ivard came home & at midnite went after Jerry.  My nite off.

It was 21° when I came home from work.  Ivard had fire in fire place & I set & ate & read paper & got warm.

I went to bed at 9:30 & woke up at 1:30 & laid in bed & read until 4:20, after I had a dish of fruit with Ivard.

Ivard went up to Dobbs & signed a note at bank for what we owe them & brought Sis home.

Ivard & I & Jackie took Dale up to Lyles to stay all nite then we went & got Jerry from Safeway.  came home & ate Dean made waffles.

I practiced piano for half hr. & went to bed at 7: until time to go to work.

cold, 25°.  I was froze when I got home it was clear & stormy all nite & cold wind cloudy this morning_snowed a little about 11: then started in at 3: for couple of hrs

Ivard came to bed with me & got me warm.  I slept 9: to 11: then woke up so I read until 4:, in bed.

Ivard went & got Sis but she didn't go to Primary today, has a bad cold.  Ivard went & got Dale & Dean & Jerry & I cooked supper & practiced piano.  We ate & Ivard & I & Dale took Jerry up to work at D.q. 6: to close & went up town & mailed letters & went to Lyles few min. came home at 7: & went to bed until time to go to work.

23° when I came home from work.

cold wind all day & sunny.  I was froze to death I changed into my dress & we took Jackie to school & I signed for unemployment then we came home & Ivard went back to bed with me for awhile. Then Lyle came a min. Ivard got up & took car up & had a greese job & oil change.  I woke up at 1:30 so I got up & washed a batch of cloths & ate lunch with Ivard & worked on my books.  Ivard went to work at 4: I practiced piano & at 5: I went & got Jerry.  Dean made hot cakes for their supper.  We took Jerry up to D.q. to work at 6: to Close & we went out to Hurrens & had our piano lesson Came back to D.q. & Dale cleaned up the yard and Jerry brought us home so he'd have car to come home It was 8:30 & I slept until 10:30 & got ready & went to work at 11: wrote Ray out to Hurrens.

I came home from work & went right to bed Ivard had just got back from takeing Jackie to school & he went back to bed too.  Jerrys day off & he never woke up until 11:30.  Lyle came right after we got in bed & was going to take Ivard & pick-up to Parma for rest of his stuff but they decided road were too slippery so Ivard came back to bed

I got up at 12:30 & got Ivard to go to Caldwell to take Jerry for his Dr. appointment at 1:30 & draw Genes money out of bank for him for school & put it in my checking to cover check I gave him Sun.  I went back to bed & couldn't sleep so read until they got home at 3:10 with Sis & I got up & Jerry droped us off at dancing while he got groc. ect. Came home at 5:15 & ate & at 6:30 Jackie & I went to bed & she read to me she doesn't feel good.  Jerry & Dean went to mutual & Dale did dishes.  Ivard went to work at 4: & I went at 11:

Jerry took Dean to Seminary then Ivard took him to work. Ivard got home from takeing Jackie to school when I got home from work.  We both went right to bed.  I woke up at 3: & Ivard came right after from takeing Lyles car up to him to sell.  Ivard went & got Sis & he went to work at 3:50.  I washed a batch of cloths & crocheted & read paper.  I fixed supper & went after Jerry.  It was 5:40 when we got home & ate & Jerry went to work at Dairy q. 6: to close.  he's half dead, he just can't Keep it up.

Gene went back to Rexburg to school.  I went back to work at Simplots after holidays

grey & dreary all day.  I got up and read for 45 min.  then read paper. washed Dales hair & practiced piano and packed Genes cloths.

Jerry got up 8: and got ready to go direct fast offering collection.

Ivard got up & got ready & him & Dean went to Priesthood.  Jerry came to get them right after they left so he rode up with Gene on his way to Lyles so we could have car.  I had bath & Dale, Jackie & I were just leaving for S.S. when Ivard came so he went back with us.  We got home from Fast meeting at 2:30 & Gene was still here so we hurried & ate & were just finished when Lyle & Family came for few min.  Dale went home with them to make a model car.  Ivard left for work at 3:50 & Gene left for Rexburg with bunch of Kids.

At 5: I took Jerry up to Dairy q. to work until close.  he felt awful.  Lyle & Kids brought Dale home & watched Disneyland.  I took Car up for Jerry & Lyle came & brought me back I went to bed at 7: until Time to go to work

I read for 45 min & practiced piano 45 min then took Jerry to work at Safeway at 8: I washed cloths & iorned most of Day.

I took Jackie up & left her at Superior Western for Andre to cut her hair while I went & got gas & new head lite then I came home & put ham roast on & took Dean up & droped him off for hair cut & got Sis.  Dean walked home.  Sis & I stoped at D.q. & had drink & french fries.

Ivard & Gene hauled garbage & Ivard went to work at 4: & Gene went to Lyles.  Dean did work & I washed his & Jackies hair & had me a color shampoo.  Ivard & I played game scrabble before he went to work.  I went & got Jerry at 5: & we just finished eating when Gail & family brought Dale home, they just stayed few min.  Gail was going to play ball.  I took Jerry to work at D.q. 6: to 12:45 A.M He was dead.  Ivard worked overtime, 12:45.  Dean made fudge.  Gene & Dale ate & went up to Lyles awhile.  I watched T.V until it went off air.

I got up & read & practiced piano & took Jerry to work at Safeway at 8: Dean cleaned bottom cupboards

Ivards day off so at 9:30 him & Gene took our pick-up & went to Parma & helped Lyle move to Nampa.  They never got home until 7:30, stoped in a few min between trips & had sandwich, all of them, were just leaving when Dean, Jackie & got home from Caldwell from haveing our Int. brought up to date on our Savings accounts.  we put money in our Xmas Savings club here in Nampa too.

I went & got Jerry at 5: & he was so tired he sat in chair & slept al the time Gail & Kids were here, brought Dale to get clean shirt, he went back & stayed all nite to go on route in morning.  I went up & saw Lyles house a min. Came home & we ate and all of us got to bed early.  I washed my hair this A.M.

Thursday, January 2, 1964

nice most of day.

Ivards day off.  he took Jerry up to work at Safeway & him & Gene helped us a little.

Gene Dean scrubbed & cleaned under stove, icebox ect. after they moved them for him.

I moved everything in my bed room & cleaned good. washed my mattress cover & bedding & walls & woodwork & drapes. & got it back together again.

Lyle & family were here few min., hunting houses.

Ivard had to go get Jerry from work because Dean, Dale & I went to Hurrens to Piano lessons at 4:45.  We ate when we came home & Jerry, Dean, & Dale went up to Church to titheing settlement.  Dale came home early for Piaho lesson.  I crocheted & read.  went to bed early.

Wednesday, January 1, 1964

grey & cloudy most of day. Sun came out awhile around noon & it was real warm & nice for awhile.

I got up & fixed a jello salad & meat loaf & dressing ready for dinner.  Ivard sat & watched ball games & rose parade all day in color, wasn't bad. Gail & Kids brought Dean home & watched awhile.  Jerry got his priesthood reports done & him & Dean took them over to Bishop.

Lyle & Family came & Lyle watched game until Barbra got mad they were supposed to be hunting houses.  We ate after they left.  I didn't have enough fixed for that many extra.

I went over to Kotters about 1: for hr & Helen cut my hair.

Ivard went to work at 4: & Jerry & Dean did dishes & they played games.

I started crocheting Jackie a dresser set. made list of xmas cards I got.
