Got letter from Ray

Dean left for Moscow, Idaho

Rail Road went on Strike

Sunny & nice Jackie sprained arm

When I got home from work Dean had left for Moscow, Idaho to 3 day Jernalism Conference.

Jerry went to work and I went to bed. Ivard was still in bed. Rail Road went on Strike at Midnite & he'd come home after working 2 hrs he'd been up & taken Dale on paper route.

Sent Gene money & letter

I went to bed until 1:30 then wrote Gene letter & we went up town & got Genes Cashiers Check & mailed to him & paid our bills. lot of guys didn't get check on account of Strike. Came home & made out payments to mail & got my books up.

We ate & I went to bed until time to go to work. Sis got hurt at school & we took her to Dr. & he sent us to Bone Dr. just sprained.

Got letter from Gene

Sunny & nice

I came home from work & Ivard was home & in bed. I ate & read papers & went to bed. Got up at 2: & we went up town & paid the light bill & went to Albertsons & Safeway & got $35. of groc. Jerry gave me $10. to get groc. then I wrote out check until tomorrow & got all my groc. today.

Came home & fixed supper, hambergers & all the trimmings & we ate when Jerry got home from work.

Dean & Dale wentt o Piano lessons & we went to bed. I went to work at 11: & Ivard went at midnite.

Tuesday, March 29, 1966

Sunny & warm - cool in nite.

I about froze to death this morning they had door open then comeing home heater wouldn't work so I stoped at Don's for gas & fan belt was busted time dumb Kid got it fixed it was 9:50 time I got home. Ivard was still in bed & had blanket on so I got warmed up.

Ivard watered all day.

I woke up at 2:30  & made some tea & we played Scrabble & I washed 3 batches of cloths & cooked supper we ate when Jerry came & Dale got home from collecting.

Kids went to Mutual at 6:45 so Dean could practice Organ. Jackie did dishes & I went to bed at 7:30. until time to go to work

Ivard went to work at midnite.

Monday, March 28, 1966

Jerry got home from Salt L.

Ivard worked in Weiser

sunny & hot

I came home from work & Dale was home sick. Ivard took him on paper route & took Jackie to school on way to Weiser to work. I fixed Dales breakfast & went to bed at 9:30 & at 9:45 Jerry called from bus depot so I went & got him & we got Dale some asprin & milk Shake & came home & Jerry got ready & went to bank for me & went to work. I went back to bed at 10:45 & phone got me up at noon then I woke up at 2: with Gail & Dale yapping so I got up. Dale had made a cake so I frosted it & washed some cloths. Dale went collecting after school. Everyone ate themselves & Dean did dishes & him & Jerry went to Boise to Institute. Dale came home at 7:30 & we did his money & I went to bed until work.

Ivard got home at 9:40

Kids came just as I left for work.

Annie & Bud came

Ray left Mission home for B.Y.U.

Sunny & nice, frost early

Ivard & Dale got up at 4: AM & did Jerry & Dales paper route. I got up at 6:30 & washed my & Jackies hair & Ivards when he got home

I washed couple of batches of cloths. Fixed grapefruit & they ate when Ivard & Dale got home.

Ivard, Dean & Dale went to priesthood & S.S., Ivard came home & took Jackie. I scrubbed 2 bathrooms & cleaned up.

At 12: Annie & Budd Lyon from Salt L. came & their daughter & husband & 3 Kids & visited until 2:

I got dinner & we ate & Dean did dishes & Dale went over to Hoggs for afternoon

Dennis Durham came to see Annie & Budd, we called him.

Had nap all afternoon & we all went to church. I laid down until time to go to work. Ivard didn't work.

Jerry went to Salt Lake to Rays testimonial

Sunny & nice. started watering lawn. I came home from work & ate & read paper & went to bed until noon. (1:)

Ivard went to work at 7: A.M.

Dean cleaned house.

Jerry went to work, came home for lunch, went & got hair cut after I cooked roast & got supper & we ate about 6:30.

Ivard got home at 3: & worked out in yard & watered lawn then we played 2 games Scrabble.

Dean took Jerry up to catch bus for Salt Lake at 10:30 P.M. We watched Saturday Nite Movie & went to bed at 9: I was so tired.

Jackie went to Dorene Tines birthday party this afternoon

I changed 3 beds & washed up everything.

Got letter from Ray

Jackie went back to school.

Ray received his endowment

Sunny & warm today, cold last nite. I came home from work & ate & read paper & went to bed, froze to death. Ivard was already home & in bed.

Jerry left for work.

Jackie went back to school after being out all week with flu.

I got up at 3:30 & fixed supper for Kids, baked beans & jello & crocheted.

Dale came home from school & went collecting until 9:

Kids ate & went up town & got Rays pants & Jerry got some new shoes & pants.

Ivard & I went up to church at 7:30 to Relief Society birthday Party supper. Came home at 9:30 & laid down until time to go to work. Ivard didn't work. Jerry, Dean & Jackie went to Boise to "Sing out 66," got home just as I was leaving.

Jackie went to doctor, better

I came home from work & ate & went to bed. Ivard was still in bed.

Jerry went to work, didn't come home for lunch.

I got up at 12:30 & got ready & took Jackie to Dr. he said she was OK & could go back to school now, still has caugh.

Came home & made tea & we played 2 games of Scrabble & I washed 2 batches of cloths & got supper.

Ivard went & got Dean from school.

We ate when Jerry got home & Dean did dishes & at 7: him & Jerry went up to High school to "Sing Out 66."

Jackie still sick, feeling better

Ray was set apart

22 º low this morning Sunny & warmer today. I came home from work froze to death. I fed Sis & went to bed. Ivard was already home & in bed. Ivard got up awhile with Sis then came back to bed. I woke up at 2:30 & we got up.

Jerry didn't come home for lunch

I washed batch of cloths & cooked supper, We ate when Jerry came

Ivard went to work at 4:

I crocheted awhile.

Dean & Dale went to Piano lesson tonite.

I went to bed at 7: until time to go to work.

Jerry & Dean went Home teaching.

Jackie still sick

18 low this morning - Sunny & cool.

I cam home from work & Ivard was still in bed, he'd taken Dale on paper route.

I read paper & went to bed Ivard fed Sis & tended her

Jerry went to work.

I woke up at 2:30 & got up & washed some cloths

Ivard went up to Wards & got a plastic mattress cover for Dales bed & we made it. I made tea & we played 3 games Scrabble.

I cooked supper & we ate when Jerry got home

Kids left for Mutual at 7: so Dean could practice.

I went to bed at 7:30 until time to go to work.

Ivard got up & took Dale on paper route & went to work in Boise at 7:30.

I came home from work & Jerry went to work & did business for me. I fed Sis & went to bed & Jerry woke me up at 12:45 so I got up & washed cloths & did up all of yesterday dishes. Ivard got home at 3:45 & we played Scrabble. I fixed supper & we ate when Jerry came & Dean did dishes & he went to Stake House to meeting & Jerry went to Boise to Institute with Betty.

Ivard & I went to bed at 7: & Jackie & Dale.

Ray left for Salt Lake to Mission

Ivard got up & took Dale on Paper route & Jerry did his route alone. Jerry & Dale had to be to meeting at 8:15 were late, Dean went with them. & Ivard & Ray left later for Priesthood & Sunday S. I washed cloths & got Rays things ready & cooked dinner, made meat loaf, scalloped potatoes.

Jerry & Dean went to meeting this afternoon & Ray & I packed

We watched T.V & had icecream Mrs Kotter came few min.

Dean had to go to 3rd Ward to his Seminary programe & droped Dale off at our ward.

We left Jackie home alone in bed & Ivard & I & Jerry took Ray up to catch train for Mission Home. I went to bed until time to go to work. Ivards nite off

Saturday, March 19, 1966

Jackie sick again - flu

real stormy, thunder, lighting, hail, rain. Jerry took Dale on paper route. Jerry went to work & came home for lunch & Ray took him back, to have car. Ray & Ivard watched ball game. Ivard worked hr overtime & got home at 9: AM & went to bed until ball game. Kept Jackie in bed all day & Dale. I was afraid Jackie had pnemonia again. I called Dr & he had me bring her up to emergency ward at Mercy & he checked her good, has flue, have to keep her in bed

I washed cloths baked 4 whole wheat & 4 raisin bread, made cake & chilli & Jello salad. Dean cleaned house & at 2: went to Meridian to Seminary graduation banquet & dance, had date. Ray & I went up & got Ray 2 more new suits, ties, shoes & picked Jerry up. Kurt Kotter & friend came & had icecream & cake with us. Ray went with Jerry to D.Q. My & Ivards nite off.

I came home from work & Ivard was home. Dean went to school today.

Jackie rode to school with Jerry.

We went to bed until noon. Played Scrabble, washed cloths.

I fixed supper & we ate aftr Jerry & Dean went to dance practice, at 7:

Ray went up to Gails for supper & went to practice from there.

Jackie is sick again

Kids went to Gold & Green ball, Jerry, Ray & Dean danced in it.

Got letter from Mother

Dean Sick

I came home from work & Ivard was in bed, he'd gone back after he took Dale on paper route. Dale went to school. Dean is home sick again. Jackie rode to school with Jerry.  I read paper & went to bed at 9:30 & got up at 2: & we went to bank & paid Don Boren.

Ray went up town & did his income tax & when Jerry came home for lunch Ray went up to Bettys with him & went to Boise to do genelogy.

I fixed supper & we ate when Jackie came from Primary.

Jerry went to dance practice & Ivard & Ray listened to ball game. I went to bed until time to go to work.

Dean got letter from Dean [Gene?]

Dean home with flu

Dean & Dale didn't go to Piano lesson, too sick

I came home from work & Ivard was already home. Dale had to go on paper route on bike & hes still sick then he went to school.

Ray went on Milk route with Gail then when Jerry came for lunch he took him back & went to do genelogy.

I read paper & Ivard & I went to bed at 9:30. I got up at 12:30 & worked on my books & we went up town on business & got groc. Came home & Ivard took Dale to collect for Paper route.

Dean was in bed all day

I fixed supper & we ate when Jerry got home.

Jerry & Ray went to dance practice Dean too sick, They didn't go to Piano lessons today.

Jackie did dishes & we went to bed I went to work at 11: Ivards nite off.

Lyle here all Day & Gail this afternoon

Gene called - Dean & Dale home with flu

windy - cloudy - sunny rained tonite. I came home from work & made hot cakes & every one ate. Ray took Dale on paper route & went on milk route with Gail.

Ivard was home from work when I got home. Dean & Dale were home sick. Jackie rode to school with Jerry when he went to work.

Ivard & I went to bed at 11: & got up at 2: & went to bank & paid place. Gail & Lyle, them were playing cards & Kids carrying on, house a mess, Gail left about 3:30 & Lyle left at 4: going over to Metcalf until tomorrow nite & go home them

We ate soup & Ivard & I went to bed. Dean & Dale got up & went to Mutual, shouldn't have. We went to work. Ivard got bumped & marked up on another Job.

I could hardly make it home from work I was so sleepy. Ivard took Dales paper route, Dale has flu & coughs so bad, he stayed home today

I went to bed at 9:30 & woke up at 3: house a mess & Kids running in & out of slideing glass door with drapes shut, I was so mad. Lyle & them left at 4: for supper at Cliffords. I got supper made tamalle pie & we ate when Jerry came.

Jerry, Ray & Dean went to dance practice at 7:

We went to bed until time to go to work. Lyle came back about 10:45 & went to bed.

Ivard got up & did Dales paper route, has croupe. Jerry did his. I washed Rays hair & Ivard, Jerry, Ray, Dean & Dale went to priesthood & S.S. Ivard came home & took Jackie

I washed my hair, 4 batches cloths got roast on & cleaned up & crocheted. Lyle & family came about time they came from church & we had dinner about 2: I had bath

We all got ready & went to Rays farewell, had real nice programe. Everyone was there but Kay & Gene. Ray & Evelyn Schulthies were over. Gail came after church & we had punch & cookies Lyle stayed all nite.

I went to work at 11: Ivards nite off. They spent all afternoon Putting up basket for ball

Saturday, March 12, 1966

Sunny but real windy

Dale has flu & woke me up at 4: to take him on paper route. Kids wouldn't so I got up at 5:15 & took him, Came home & made hot cakes for breakfast. Ivard came home & went right to bed until noon.

I washed cloths, rugs, bed spread and baked 6 loaves bread.

Dean went to High S all day to journalism conference.

Ray & Ivard changed every thing around & cleaned play room & Ivard cleaned & vacumed front room, our bedroom, hall Jackie did her room. I cleaned & waxed both bed rooms good & got supper. Ray went & got hair cut & picked up his suit & we ate when J. came. I went to bed at 9: Dean had to go to Stake H. & practice organ. My & Ivards nite off.

Ray started work at Simplots

I came home from work, passed Ray on tracks at Caldwell, he got called to Simplots on days.

Kids rode to school with Jerry when he went to work Ivard was already in bed I read paper & went to bed until about noon & got up & washed some cloths & we played Scrabble awhile.

Ray went to Dr. for more shots on way home from work

I fixed supper & we ate when Kids got home & Dale went with Lenord getting new starts & Jerry, Ray & I went up town & got Ray a suit some socks & ties & insulated underwear for his mission.

My nite off, watched T.V. until 1:15 A.M. Ivard went to work. Dean had to go up to school tonite

Ray got home from Utah

Jerry cut hand.

rained during nite, sunny & breezy. I came home from work & Ivard & Ray were home.

Dale & Jackie rode to school with Jerry when he went to work.

We went to bed at 9: & Ray went doing his business.

Jerry came home at noon for rest of day, cut his hand at work & had to go to Doctor, had 3 shots & 5 stitches. Jerry woke me up at 2:30 & I got up & made a jello salad for Dean to take to school & Jerry took it up & brought Dean home. Jerry bought groc. for supper & we had hambergers & trimming. We ate when Sis came from Primary & Dean did dishes. Jerry Ray & Dean went to Melba to see Bishop Perry & a lady about genelogy we went to bed until time to go to work.

I came home from work & Ivard was already home & in bed & Dean had missed Seminary forgot to get up. Him, Dale & Jackie rode to school when Jerry went to work.

Jackie went to Boise on train with school class.

It was 10: time I got warmed up & to sleep. We woke up at 2:15 & got up & Ivard read all afternoon & I washed 3 batches of cloths & iorned 31 pieces, have everything done up. Ivard took Dale collecting after school. I fixed supper & we ate when Jerry came & Dean & Dale went to Piano lessons then Jerry & Dean went over to Ediths few minutes

Ivard & I & KIds went to bed.

I came home from work & Ivard had just got home & we read paper & went to bed.

Jackie went to school with Jerry when he went to work.

Ray cleaned oven & stove & Kitchen good & when Jerry came home for lunch he took him back & tended to his business. he went & got some more shots at 5: & brought Jerry home.

I got up at 1:15 & made cake & cooked roast & mashed potatoes & we ate when Jerry got home then at 6:45 Jerry, Dean & Dale went to Mutual so Dean could practice. Ray bathed & went up & caught train at 8: & Kids brought car home. Had to go to Salt Lake about his Police record. We went to bed at 7: until time to go to work.

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed at 9:15 - Ivard was still in bed asleep, he'd been up & took Dale on paper route in rain.

Jerry took Jackie to school when he went to work. Ray went to Caldwell, signed for unemployment & went & saw about getting his programes printed. Jerry came home for lunch & woke me up so I got up at 12:30. Ray came home & took Jerry back to work & went to Boise for more genelogy. I washed 2 batches of cloths & iorned 24 piece. Gail & KIds came for 1 1/2 hrs. & Dale rode up to collect with them. Ivard & I, Dean & Jackie ate & took Dean up to church to practice organ until 6:30 & dance practice & we went & got Jerry & picked Dale up & came home & Dale went home Teaching. Ray was home & they took Dean car to go to Stake House to Seminary meeting & he had 2 numbers on talent show. Ray & Jerry went to Boise

I went back to work after month off

real cloudy & windy

Jerry & Dale got up & went on their paper route & came home & got ready & Ivard, Jerry Ray, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood, Sunday School & Fast meeting. I had a bath & Jackie & I got ready & Ivard came home & got us for S.S & Fast meeting. We stoped at store & got lunch things & came home & ate. I bore my testimony

I washed socks & another batch & got books up.

Dale did dishes.

We played one game of Scrabble & KIds did genelogy then went up to train to see missionaries off at 8: Ivard watched T.V

I went to bed at 6: until time to go to work.

Ivards nite off.

Saturday, March 5, 1966

cloudy - Sunny real cold wind. Dale did paper route, Jerry took him it was so windy.

Dean got up early & scrubbed & cleaned house  good by noon & Jerry came home from work & got ready & him, Dean & Ray went to Boise & did genelogy & went to "Sound of Music" again, Jerry & Deans 5th time.

Ivard came home from work & went to bed until noon then I took Dale to collect & Ivard went & picked him up. I changed beds & washed cloths all day & half the nite. Ivard & I played Scrabble a couple of games. I had supper ready when Kids came from Boise & we ate & watched T.V. Ivard & My nites off. Jerry took afternoon off.

Dale went on paper route & him & Jackie rode to school with Jerry when he went to work.

Ivard came home from work & went to bed until 11:30 then he got up & when Jerry came home for lunch he dashed up to Wards & got a new Battery for Desoto

Ray spent all day cleaning front room good & changing furniture around. and at 4:30 he took Dale up to collect & he went to Dr. & got his 2nd shots.

I spent all day makeing oatmeal bread & hamberger buns & fixing supper we had hambergers & Jerry brought stuff for punch.

Jerry took Dale on paper route & Dale & Jackie rode to school when Jerry went to work.

Jerry came home for lunch

Ray went up town & car wouldn't work needs new battery, garage started it & he got home.

I made rice pudding for Kids supper. & they ate when Jackie came from Primary.

We got new Pole lamp & got it up in front room & a new speed queen washer & a table with lamp in it for Play room. Jerry & Ray went to Boise with Betty at 7. for genelogy. Ivard & I & Dean went up to NNC. to honor Society banquet.

I got up & fixed breakfast & Ivard came home & ate & went to bed & Dale & Sis rode to school when Jerry went to work & he dropped Ray of at  Bettys to go to Boise & do genelogy.

I listened to new records, crocheted & painted. Made 6 loaves bread. Jerry came home for lunch & Ivard went back with him to see about getting Desoto & got a hair cut.

We went up to Hales & bought a washer & 2 new lamps then went & picked Jerry up at work. & came home & ate.

Watched T.V. & Ivard went to bed until time to go to work.

Cloudy - sunny, snowed in nite, more this morning.

Got up & fixed breakfast. Kids went to school. Ivard took Desoto up to Dobbs & Ray took Jerry to work & picked Ivard up & Ivard took Ray to Betty Coats & they went to Boise to do genelogy.

I washed cloths & wrote to Gene. Ivard never went to bed until I took Jackie to Dr. at 1: Dr. exrayed her & said her lungs were all clear & she could go back to school. Came home at 3: & started supper then went to store & picked Dean up & he finished supper & Ivard & I took Dale to collect & get new bike seat & went after Desoto but it needs more work done so we left it. Got Jerry & came home & ate & Jerry, Dean & Dale went to Mutual & Ray came home & did genelogy. Ivard went to bed until time to go to work & I watched T.V. until 12:45.
