warm & breezy & sunny real cloudy in afternoon.

I came home from work & read paper & went right to bed. Ray Jerrys day off, him, Gene & Ray went to Boise & messed around all day. Ivard went & got his check & woke me up at 11:30 & I figured out payments & he went & paid bills.  I got up at 3:30 & Sis & I went to dancing got home at 5:50 & they had already eaten and Lyle had left 2 little Kids & taken Jerry up to try & sell him car, Gene & Ray went too.  I ate & Sis. Dean did dishes.  Jerry got car, if his Credit Union OK it.  David got hit in head by Terry with ball bat while lyle was messing around. Stanley called Barbra at D.q & she called Lyle at Romps & he went & took him to hospital & got it sewed up.  I went to work at 11: Ivard had to be there at 11:

Deans first Public appearance, played Piano for Seminary

44° when I came from work.  I read paper & went to bed Ivard was already in bed.

Gene was gone over to Metcalfs to work, got home at 5:30. Ray was chaseing around most of day worked at D.q. 6: to close, Jerry took him up.

Ray woke me up at 12: & I couldn't go back to sleep so I got up & washed my hair & 3 batches of cloths & put socks away I washed the other day.

Dean & Sis went to school Today.

Jerry took Kids selling candy & made out his monthly reports I went to bed at 6:30, Kids woke me up at 9: when they got home & I got up at 10:30 & went to work

Easter

65° today _ sunny _ breeze.

I read paper in bed then got up & pressed Jackies new dress & washed her hair. Jerry_ Gene Dean & Dale went to priesthood I took Ray up to D.q at 10: till 5: & Jerry came home & went 11: till 5: I took Sis to sunday school then went & got all of them after fast meeting. Gene got $140 from his farewell.

I made deviled eggs & potatoe salad & we at 3: when Ivard got up.  Dean did dishes & I took Dale & Jackie up to D.q., Nancy Blades told them to come up for treat. came home & had bath & went to bed at 6:30 until time to go to work, never did get to sleep, Gail & Kids came until 8:00 then I got sick.

Sunny & breeze

I read paper in bed & got up at 9: & started washing.

Dale went to go on milk route with Gail & Jerry went to work at 8: at Safeways.

I washed 5 batches of cloths & iorned all day, never got half done.

Ray worked at D.q. 12: to 6:

Jackie & Dean felt a lot better Dean cleaned up a little. Gene went up to Gails awhile then ater supper he went up & tended Kids & Gail brought Dale home on Their way to dance. I took Jerry up to D.q. to work 6: to close & he bought me a drink. brought Ray home & he went & got dye & helped Kids color eggs. he got a bunch of candy for baskets. He went to Stake House to dance. I went to bed at 7: to 10 then watched late show Ivard went to work at 11:30 had to walk

Bad earth quake in Alaska

40° when we came home from work. sunny_ cloudy_windy. I read paper & went to bed until noon. Ivard was still in bed.

Kids didn't have to go to school today. Dean & Jackie are still sick but Jackie is a lot better.

Dale & Stanley spent most of day selling candy bars for Dean

Jerry came home for lunch & Ray took him back & went to Dr. said his throat was oK. He went up to Gails all afternoon, Angie is real sick.

Lyle droped Gene off about 2:, he stayed up there all nite. I washed 5 batches of cloths, worked on income tax & practiced piano & got supper. Jerry was late getting home, messing around with Lyle trying new cars out.  We ate late, after Lyle & Kids left, took Barbra to work. My & Ivards nite off. I went to bed at 7: & got up at 11:30 & watched late show.

Ray started work at D.q. again Dean & Jackie home sick.

38° when we came from work, sprinkled during nite. Sunny. cloudy - windy today. Ivard was already home & in bed.  I read paper & went to bed at 9:, got up at 1:30 and got books up, laid down again until 4:30.

Ray went up & worked at D.q 12: to 6:

Gene had to go to Primary to teach Mrs Brysons class of boys, took Jackie too.

Dean is real sick. flue, Jackie stayed home too with bad cough.

I fixed supper & went to bed again about 7:30.  Gene went up to Lyles & stayed all nite.

Ray was up to Gails, Angie has broncitis.

Ivards nite off he went to bed early.

Ivard got regular job - midnite Jackie & Dean home sick.

33° when I came home from work Ivard was already home & in bed. Jackie & Dean were home sick & Ray & Gene were still in bed. I read paper and went to bed at 9:30.

I got up at 2:45 and washed some cloths and cooked supper and we ate when Jerry got home from work at 5:30 then Jerry took Dale out to Hurrens for his piano lesson, I haven't practiced so didn't go, Dean to sick. Ray went with them to Murrys.

Lyle came & got Gene to tend Kids

Me & Sis & Ivard went back to bed about 7:30.

Dean was real sick & vomited Twice after I went to bed.

Jerry & Dale sold candybars after piano lesson

I went to work at 11:, Ivard at midnite.

Tuesday, March 24, 1964

33° when we came home. Cloudy sunny I ate & read paper. Lyle came & took Gene over to work at Metcalfs, getting ground ready. Ivard came home from work & took Sis to work school & went to bed. I went to bed at 9:15 & got up at 2:

Jerrys day off, Him & Ray messed around all day.  Jerry got groc. & fixed supper

Jerry & Ray went & got Sis & brought us a drink then I took Jackie to dance lesson, ate when we got home. Lyle had brought Gene home & Ray went with him.

Jerry took Dean up to Harmony cafe at 6: for supper (the dancers in gold & green ball floor show) then came home & took Dale to Mutual.

I went to bed at 7: until time to go to work.  Ivard had bath & went back to bed. He got called for midnite, just as I left.

Kay & Claudia went home & Lyle- Gene & Ray went to Rexburg.

little hail on lawn when we got up, pretty nice day. Kay & Claudia left at 6: AM from Gails, told them goodbye lastnite.  Gene went up & got his girl & at 8:30 Lyle came & him & Ray & Gene took Lynda back to Rexburg.  Jerry went to work when Gene went up for Lynda. Ivard & I took Jackie to school and went up & got Barbra & 3 little Kids, Joyce & their babysitter for last nite & took them to Parma to Metcalfs for day. We got back at 11:30 & stoped at D.q. & had drink.

Came home & finished letters I wrote on way_ to Mother, Louie _ Bill & Irvin _ washed 3 batches of cloths & Ivard & I had nap. went & got Jerry at 5: & we ate.

Ivard got Sis at 3: & they went & got Stanley & Terry, They will stay all nite. Jerry went to meeting at Church & Dean & Dale sold candy bars while he was. I went to bed at 6:30 & Sis.

Kids got home at 8: & Lyle took Stanley home Terry was in bed asleep so left him. Gene went to Caldwell & was made an Elder. I went to work at 11: Ivard at midnite.

Genes Farewell testimonial

sunny & cloudy_ real foggy during nite. Ivard didn't work & I laid off.

Ivard came home & went to bed. I read paper & got up & cleaned up & made jello salad for dinner.

Jerry took Dean & Dale to Priesthood & he came home after & I took him up to D.q to open up, had to work 10: to 5: Gene went to Priesthood then went & took his girl to sunday school Ray & Jackie went to sunday school.

When they got home & Kay & Claudia & Lyle droped his 3 Kids off we ate then Gene had to go to Stake House at 2: to be made an Elder by David Hurren.  Ivard & I, Dale, Jackie Stanley Terry & David went to Metcalfs to their 30th wedding open house, didn't stay long. picked Jerry up on way home at 5: 4 Boys came from Rexburg & we all went to Church for Genes farewell about 10 Kids came from Owghee ward, Ray Schutlhies. We all had to sit on stand (our family) 11 of us. Gene & Jackie cried but Gene got over it to talk. Ivard did good. I forgot half I was going to say. after Gail had us all up for Barbacue buffet, about 30 of us, Owyhee bunch, college Kids, Wally Bryson & Seth Forsgrin & wives (speakers) Korth came after we ate & took family Picture

Gene got back from Rexburg with his girl

Cloudy all day. rained & snowed a little

I got up & we changed beds & I washed cloths all day in between iorning Ray & Dean moved everything in their bedroom & cleaned it & changed it around. Dean cleaned house.

Kay & Claudia came about 2:30 & we visited then Ivard & I went to store & got groc & I cooked supper & we were just about ready when Gene & his girl Lynda Anderson, from Idaho Falls, got here from Rexburg at 6: We were just sitting down to eat when Lyle & family came & ate too. We went & got Jerry at 7: from Safeway, he worked 8: to 10: today, then came home until 1: & worked 1: to 7: inventory he ate & I took him up to work at D.q. 7:30 to close.

My nite off_ watched T.V.

everyone left about 8: & went up to Gails & Ivard & Jackie went to bed

Ivard went to work at midnite.

Kay stayed all nite to Lyles & Genes girl at Gails. Kids got home about 11:30 & Gene later.

Friday, March 20, 1964

Ray came home from hospital

got letter from Mother, sick.

36° when I came home from work. sunny, cloudy hard wind. I read paper & went to bed at 9:30. I washed my bedroom rugs & Ivard hung them out & washed all the rest in house. He went & got Ray before noon.

I got up at 12:30 & went & got Ray milk shake & us a drink.  Washed cloths all afternoon. hard wind got them dry outside.

Ivard had to go to work at 4: so I took him so Kids could have Car.

Ray & I went & got Jerry from work at 5:30. We ate and Dean did dishes & cleaned up a little. I went to bed at 7: Ray went to Gails awhile Jerry took Dean to Stake House at 9: to Our Gold & Green Ball. Dean had to dance in floor show. They came home about 11:30 & went to bed. Ivard walked home didn't think car was home. My nite off.

I came home from work & read paper & Ivard came home & took Jackie to school, she feels a lot better.  Ivard & I went to bed for 2 hrs then went up to bank for Jerry & to hospital to see Ray. he came out of it fine but was sleepy so we left about 1: & went & payed some bills & got a few groc., my pay day stoped at D.q & had lunch & came home & I went to bed.

Ivard got bumped to extra board, they aren't getting out only every day or 3.

Gene left for Rexburg at 9: A.M for special dance & bring his girl back for his farewell.

Ivard took Sis to Primary & got Jerry. Dean made hot cakes & Jerry had a date to go see 3 D'S, took Dale & Dean Lyle came & took Ivard up to see Ray I stayed in bed, until time to go to work my legs hurt so bad. Ivard didn't work.

Ray went to hospital tonite

36° when we came from work I read paper & went right to bed & Ivard too.

Jackie was home sick again she feels a lot better.

Kids woke me up at 2:30 so I got up & washed some cloths & cooked supper.

Lyle was here for awhile & they played Hearts & Ray went & got us a root beer.

We ate at 5: & Jerry took Dean & Dale to their piano lesson, I ahven't had time to practice. I was going to take Ray to hospital at 5:45 but Gene took him up.  He's going to have tonscils out in morning

Ivard did dishes & I went to bed at 6: Hospital called, we had to sign Ray in & Gene went up to Gails so Lyle took Ivard up

Sis was home Sick in bed all day.  Gene was to dentist when I got home then went & got shot, got home just as I went to bed at 10:

I got up at 3: & cooked super & we ate & Ray went to tend Lyles Kids & Jerry_ Gene Dean & Dale went to Mutual at 6:30 for dance practice.

I patched awhile & Ivard had bath & went to bed with Sis she missed dancing today.

32° sunny & warmer Today

I came home & read paper & got bills figured out & wrote up the notice for Gene to send it to Statesman & Free Press.  I went to bed at 10: & got up at 1:30.

Gene took Ray to Dr. Daines & he sent him over to hospital for blood test, goes to hospital Wed. nite & has tonscils out Thursday morning. Ivard Ray & I went to bank, Pd. bills & got 16. worth of groc. Jerry gave me money for. stoped at D.q. & had drink. got home at 4: & Sis was crying with ear ache, got her to bed. I cooked supper & we made Sis bed in utility room & after we ate her & Ivard went to bed. Jerry took Kids selling Candy & they weren't home when I went to work.

Ray got home from Utah Ivard went on midnite job

Ivard met train when he got off work & brought Ray home & they woke me up.

Jerry_ Gene, Dean & Dale went to priesthood. Ivard went to bed Ray & Jackie didn't go to sunday school they went messing off up to Gails & brought Debbie & Kris. home all afternoon. I washed 3 batches of cloths & didn't even make a dent in Rays stuff. washed my hair & cooked dinner & Ivard got up & we ate at 1:30. Dean went over to Stake House to practice chorus

I went to bed about 3: but didn't get much sleep_ Gail & family came & Lyle & Jerrys 2 girl friends & watched Disney land. I got up after they all left & went back to bed when they all went To church.  Ray was out until after I went to work.  Ivard worked at midnite

Jerry went to work. I got up & washed cloths & cleaned out utility room & Ivard & Gene moved a bed in & put the davenport in front room so we'll have more beds to sleep guys if they come to Genes farewell. changed my bed & washed it too.  Gene took Gails car home & Ivard went & got him & marked up on midnite job. He went to bed at 6:30 after he bathed. We were supposed to go To relief society closeing social but Ivard didn't want to. I never get to go any place I went to bed at 6: & got up at 10: & fixed some missionary papers for Gene & he went & got me a drink I watched T.V. until it went off air.

Ivard got called for yard master was his nite off. He left at 11:. My nite off. Jerry worked D.q 6: to close.

I went up to State Income Tax office & had Gene's income tax filled out for him & an Oregon Too.  Went & picked Jerry up from work after at 5: came home & we ate & Jerry took Kids out selling Candy bars.

Gene went with them & stayed up to Gails all nite.

I read paper & went to bed at 9:15.  I got up at 1: then laid down until 2: but couldn't go to sleep so got up & Ivard took me up to bank to see about insufficient check chg. had to come home & get other book. dropped Ivard off at work & it was 4: time I got home.  Dean fixed supper & I went & got Jerry from work, time we got home Gene was home he worked for Art Middleton today.  We ate & Dean, Dale & I went out to Hurrens & took our piano lesson. When we got home at 7:30 Gene & Jackie had gone up to Lyles to tend Kids.

I went to bed until time to go to work Jerry Took Dean & Dale selling candy bars. Jerry went after Ivard at 10:30 & Gene & Sis got home just before I went to work.

Jerry got back from Salt Lake Gene went & had first Dep. shot

34° when I came home from work cloudy, Snow flurries.

I read paper & went right to bed. Ivard took Jackie to school

Gene woke me up at 11:30 & Ivard drove us up & got his pass port picture & we went to Boise & got his passport fixed out & sent to Seattle & got his international health card. came back to Nampa & went to Police station & got 2 letters, that he hadn't had any police record. came home at 2:30 & Ivard went to work & Gene went & picked Jackie up at 3:30 we went to dancing class

I practiced piano.

Gene came & got us from dancing we never got out until 6: came home & ate & I went to bed until time to go to work. Gene & Jackie took Dean & Dale up to Mutual

I came home & read paper & Ivard took Sis to school.  I went to bed at 9:15 & got up at 2: & worked on my books.  I washed a batch of cloths before I went to bed & Ivard dried them & put some new washers in taps.

Ivard fixed lunch & went to work at 3: Gene made a cake for supper.

I cooked supper & practiced piano & crocheted.

Dale went & cleaned D.q yard & sold candy for Dean.

We ate & Dean did dishes then Jerry_ Gene, Dean & Jackie went out to Petersons & got some more bars to sell & they went selling.  Took Jerry to catch 8:15 train for Salt Lake to see Dr. Kids Came back & got Dale. I went to bed at 6:45 until time to go to work

Ivard_ Jerry _ Gene, Dean & Dale went to priesthood.  Jerry came home after and went to work at D.q. 10: to 5: Ivard came & took Jackie to sunday school.

I practiced piano, worked on puzzle & had dinner ready when they got home.

Dean went to Stake house to practice & I sat & had Dale practice for almost a hr. then Gene, Dale & Jackie Took off.  Ivard slept & I got books up & went to bed at 3:, I sure do feel awful.  I woke up at 6: with horrible pains in my stomache, cramps.

They all went to church & I wrote to Bill & put in with Jeans birthday card. stayed in bed until Time to go To work

Saturday, March 7, 1964

Ray called saw Dr today, hes on boarder line has to get Tonciles out soon. called mother

ground was covered with snow when we got up & was stormy most of morning then it all melted away.  Ivard took Jerry to work & Dale up to Gails & Gene got up & went & had his picture taken for passport & went to Dr Lee & had teeth checked.

I washed cloths & iorned all day long after Ivard went up to Hales & got me a new cover for ioner.  Dean cleaned house.

Ivards day off & mine.

at 1:30 Ivard took Dean to Caldwell to meeting about Valley Forge.  I was supposed to go but had too much to do. They got home at 4.

Gene went & got Jerry & we ate & Jerry went to work at D.q. 6: to close.

I cleaned up & washed my hair.  Edith came awhile & brought my Stanley bowl brush. Gail & family came & took Ivard_ Gene Dale to watch the games final nite, Dollars for schollars. I didn't want to go. I drove up to D.q. & sat & talked hr., had drink & got milk & came home & went to bed at 9: called mother while Gail & them were here.  she still doesn't feel very good. Ray called said Dr said if he gets tonciles out right away he might be oK. on boarder line

Gene got mission call to Tonga mission Fiji

32° when we came home from work

I read paper & went right to bed. Ivard was in bed too. I fasted all nite & we fasted all day for Ray.

I got up at noon & washed some cloths, crocheted. Ivard & I went up to D.q. & got my 540 lbs sugar I ordered $62.10 The price is going up.

Ivard went to work at 3:, Gene took him & picked Sis up & they went up to Gails.  I cooked supper & we ate when Jerry got home from work

Gail, Lynda & Kids came then they took Gene & he went & played ball & Gail went to see Gene play ball, Lyle came & got Gene and right after he left he got his special delivery letters (2) mission call (7: P.M)

Jerry_ Dean & Dale went selling chocolate bars for Dean to go to Valley Forge.  Gail & them came after game & saw where Gene got called. Ivard came at 11:, said he walked. My nite off.  Kids sold 24 bars

Ray called & said Dr. thought he had withdrew from school lukemia

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed at 9: I woke up at 12:30 & wanted Ivard to go get my sugar but he wouldn't even talk, too busy watching T.V. I got mad and went back to bed and never knew anything until Kids woke me up at 5:45 to talk to Ray, he called to say the clinic at school thought he had lukimia & advised him to withdraw from school he did. They sent all his tests to Trowbridge & he has to see him Tuesday to make sure. He wanted us to fast.

Ivard went to work at 3:

Gene took Sis to Primary & went & got her & Jerry from work.

Kids fixed supper & we ate and Lyle came & took Gene to play ball in "Dollars for Scholars" tournament, won

Jerry & Dean went messing off.  I stayed up & watched T.V until time to go to work.

Ray went back to Provo

rained & snowed most of nite & about all day. it was 8:45 time we got home from work, took flower to lady in hospital.

Ivard, Jerry_Gene_ Ray, Dean & Dale went to priesthood, sunday school & Fast meeting. I read paper & Jackie had a bath. I went to bed at 9:45 & Sis stayed up alone, Ivard came & took her to work sunday school.

I woke up at 2: when they got home Jerry & Dale went collecting fast offering & got home at 3: everyone just pilced

Lyle, Barbra & Kids came about 3: and at 5:30 Gail, Lynda & Kids came.

I went to bed at 7: & Kids made so much noise & radio T.V. screeching I got mad & got up & told them off & they all went up to Lyles, even Ivard & Kids They sure are inconcideret, they could have tried to keep quiet.  I went to work at 11:

26° when we came home. sunny all day.  Gene had gone to Boise to see his girl when I got home, she left for Rexburg at noon & he came home

Ivards day off, just sat all day

Ray had come home when I got home, but him & Kids were up to Lyles brought Stanley & Terry home to play.

I came home & read paper & went to bed at 9: & woke up at noon & put batch of cloths in to wash & went back to bed at 12:30 until 3:30 then I got up & washed some more cloths & cooked supper.

Dean & Ray chased all day, they went & got Jerry & we ate at 5:30 & Ray took Jerry up to work at D.q 6: to close.

at 7: Ivard_ Gene, Ray Daen & Jackie went up to Lyles for evening, Metcalfs were comeing Too.  I went to bed I haven't had any sleep all week. They came home & got me up at 10:45 & I went to work.
