Gail called to say Lynda had baby girl in nite.

I got up late & we ate & Kids played ball. I washed cloths & worked on genelogy all day.

Gene & Ivard watered & listened to ball game (watched) & cultivated beets.

Kay took Ray over to Madisons at noon to make Poster for scout deal tonite & Gene went after him at 5:

I cooked supper & Kay went over to Claudias at 4:

Ivard took Ray to Nampa for scout deal & came home & we went to bed early.

My nite off.

Ivard didn't work.

Friday, April 29, 1960

sent Jerry money & letter

I came home from work & Kay had Jackie ready & her suit case packed & at 10: They went over to Claudias all day then he took her to Gails to stay but they weren't home so him & Claudia brought her home at 7:30 & traded pick-up for car & went to Boise to show. We went to town & Pd bills I washed cloths & Ivard & I went to bed for couple of hrs. I got up & washed my hair & 3 pr. Nylons & Ivard bathed & went after little Kids while I bathed & at 4: we went in to high school & watched Gene beat Mountain Home. After game we went down to Kotters & Gene & Ray came home in car, & we went to Boise with Kotters & met Laurence & Afton & Jarylyn & Jay & 2 other couples from Fruitland & went to Boise High & heard De Vere Baker lecture on his raft Lehi IV which he floated to Hawaian Islands ate Shrimp at Western & Kotters brought us home at 1: A.M. Ivard had missed out. My nite off. Ray cleaned house.

Thursday, April 28, 1960

I came home from work & took Kids to school. Ivard watered & tended Sis.

I went to bed.

I got up & went to town at 5: & picked Gene up & we went to Safeways & Albertsons & got $32. worth of groc. didn't have a thing in house. It really rained on us.

Came home at 7: & Kay was here for week end. Came down with Bob Montgomery. I cooked supper. little Kids were late getting home from Primary - June lost her Keys

We ate & I went to bed until time to go to work. Ivard came after he watched T.V. awhile.

Ivard got bumped back to extra board.

I came home from work & got ready while Ivard took Kids to school then he & Jackie took me in to get Helen & go to Boise to Dr. she wanted to take her car so Ivard came back home & they brought Mellissa to play and Helen brought me home & got her at 1:

Ivard, Jackie & I went to bed & when Jackie woke up Ivard got up & tended her & they went after little Kids They woke me up at 6:30.

Ray was takeing chills so Gene made waffles for supper. I got up & ate & went back to bed at 7:

I lost 4 lbs, makes 59 now

Tuesday, April 26, 1960

I came home from work & Ivard was home, he took Kids to school & I ate & read paper & Ivard, Jackie & I went to bed when Jackie woke up Ivard tended her, & watered beets.

I got up at 1: & Jackie & I got ready & went to relief society.

Came home, by school, & got Dean & Dale.

Ivard was out checking water.

I put a batch of cloths in & went to bed.

Ivard left to go watch Gene play ball but went to Caldwell with some cattle buyer to look at cows instead He picked Gene up after. They got beat by Borah.

Ivard came to bed but I didn't know it.

We went to work.

Monday, April 25, 1960

Ivard got regular job today 11: P.M.

I came home & took Kids to school. Ivard was out cultivating beets. I sorted cloths & ate & read paper & made me some lemonade. I washed 5 batches of cloths while we went to town & took car to Marv's body shop for new windshield Then Ivard & Jackie went to see about hose fittings while I went to I.D sale & laid away 55 yds material. We came home & Ivard went out & started to water beets & I finished washing Jackie & I went to bed at 2:30. Got up at 4:30 & got cloths in & Ray helped me make my bed, then he vacumed my room & front room & made beds upstairs & got supper while Ivard Jackie & I went to town & got car. Ivard came home & I waited 10 min. for Gene ate & went to bed at 7: Ray went to Mutual with Pendeltons & Gene with Max

Sunday, April 24, 1960

I came home from work & went to bed. Ray went to Priesthood with Max & Gene went in Pick-up. Ivard didn't go, was supposed to get the water for beets. I got up at 11: & me & Kids wet to sunday school. Dean brought Mike Perry home.

Came home & made meat loaf & cooked carrots & aspargus & we ate at 4: & I read paper & went to bed until time to go to work.

Ivard got bumped to extra board & didn't work, good thing Sis was bawling with ear ache.

Gene took Kids to church & Ivard tended Jackie.

I came home from work & ate & read paper & went to bed I got up after noon & Ray was cleaning house & Ivard & Gene were watching ball game. Dean & I went to town & got groc. came home & I worked on my genelogy assignment for sunday until 9: then I went to bed until time to go to work

I made frosting for Rays German choclate cake he made last nite. we ate about 5:

Ivards nite off. They watched T.V. Cultivated beets today & cleaned ditches.

Friday, April 22, 1960

I came home from work & Ivard was home, He went to town to see about getting windshied fixed & went & saw Art Jerome I ate read paper & spet until noon getting my lesson to give at leadership then I had a bath & got me & Jackie ready & Ivard never showed up until 1:45 & I was supposed to be there at 1:30. Then cows were in neighbors & he had to get them. I was too tired to go alone so I got mad & went to bed at 2: & never got up until time to go to work.

Ivard got Kids & tended Jackie & went after Gene.

Ray got supper.

I went to work at 11:

Thursday, April 21, 1960

cloudy-cold wind. Came home & took Kids to school. Ivard was home & in bed. I ate & read paper made some lemonade.

at 10: Jackie & I went to bed. got up at 1: & went to town in pick up & I bought Ivard a new tire for it & I went & got material for Jackie 2 new coats, her cloths out of laway, & got me 2 dresses, 2 rose bushes & some cabbage & shortening.

Came home at 4: & guy came out & sold us a Lindsay water softener $489. & he let us have it for $400. Ray got supper, Ivard did chores & I worked on books.

Kids came from Primary & we ate & I went to bed until time to go to work. went after Gene

Wednesday, April 20, 1960

On the way home from work I stoped at Charlett Taylors & Helen came over & we exercised then I went over to Helens & got a big boquet of Lilac's. came home at 10: & Ivard had taken Kids to school & pick-up stoped on him, battery was shot so I went & pushed him home. We went to bed & when Jackie woke up Ivard got up & tended her. I got up & washed my sheet & Ray hung them out & cleaned my bed room & got supper. Ivard & I went to town & bought a new battery for pick-up & I laid away some cloths for Jackie. waited for Gene awhile then came home without him. he was over to Merridian playing ball. He got ride home. We ate & went to bed until time to go to work.

Tuesday, April 19, 1960

I came home from work & took Dean to school. Ivard came home & went to bed.

I washed some clothes & read paper & got my relief society lesson. I had a bath & went to bed at 12: got up at 1:15 & Ivard took me & picked up Mrs Perry & we went to relief society & Ivard went to Kuna & paid the water & went to Bank.

Dale stayed home with bad cold so he tended Jackie.

Ivard picked me up at 3:30 & we went to Nyssa after Gene, he had gone to Payette to ball game with Gail & we waited until 6:30 then came home. stoped in to Wards sale & I got 28 yds of material & came home & ate & went to bed at 8:30 till time to go to work.

Monday, April 18, 1960

We all went to bed at 8:

Warm but got real black tonite. windy.

Came home & ate & read paper. Ivard never got home until after 9: Ivard & I went to bed & Ray tended Kids & cleaned yard & barn & hauled a load of garbage up to junk yard.

We got up at noon & ate & Ivard & I took Dean in to Perrys to play & we went & borrowed some money from P.F.C. to pay Oregon Income Tax & water. had to bring guy out to see furniture. mailed our income taxes. picked Dean up at 5: & came home & finished iorning. worked on relief society lesson while waiting for Ivard. Ray washed. Dean got supper & we ate. Mrs. Hennis came & got a poem I want her to read tomorrow in my lesson. Ray went to Mutual with Pendeltons.

Sunday, April 17, 1960

easter

I got up early & made a big Kettle of potatoe salad, stuffed eggs & made 2 pineapple pies with cocoanut crusts & we ate & all got ready & went in to Stake Conference. Ray had to be there at 9:15 to usher then we hardly got a seat. It was real good, apostle Hugh B. Brown was up. We dashed home after & ate dinner & Ivard tended Jackie & Ray, Dean & I went to afternoon session. Came home at 5: & we ate & I iorned awhile then Ivard & I & Kids went to bed at 8:

Ivard went to work at 10:20 & I went at 11:15.

We got up & ate & washed some cloths & Ivard & Gene fixed ditch then at 10: we took Ray in to city office to sell tickets then go clean church yard. The rest of us went to Nyssa & visited Gail & had lunch. Gene stayed over for week end. We came home & got groc. & got home at 6: Ivard milked & I iorned 10 pieces then Ivard & I bathed & got ready & went in to Stake House to Stake Conference for parents at 8:30 Apostle Huge Brown was up. after we stoped in to Kotters & she gave me 3 dresses.

Friday, April 15, 1960

cloudy & cold wind. I came home from work & Ivard was home.

Kids didn't have to go to school today or until Tuesday, easter vacation. Max came at 10: & took Ray in to help with 70's banquet & Ivard & I went to bed until noon.

Gene cleaned ditch & when Ivard got up they borrowed a ditcher & did ditches. I got books up & made out payments & at 3: I took Ivard in to church & I went & paid bills & went to bank. got income tax back from Webster Caldwell & I had to pay him $100. for makeing it out. I went to church at 5: & there was just me & Mrs. Firman besides the 7 70's to fix & serve about 200 people. Ray & Firman girl were life savers. We ran out of everything & had to go to store. Gene brought Kids in to eat & took them home after We got home at 10:30 my & Ivards nite off.

Thursday, April 14, 1960

came home from work & Ivard was home & in bed. I took Kids to school & came home & ate & read paper. made me some lemonade.

Jackie & I went to bed at 10: & Ivard got up after a while & Put mail box up again & tended Sis. I got up at 12:30 & Jackie & I went to school to Dean & Dales easter programe. I was room mother & had to take cookies help serve & pay 1.00 for candy & Punch. came home at 3: & at 3:30 Ivard took Gene in to school to get ready to play ball at rodeo ground, he took pick-up to school & came home to eat, & Dean Dale to Primary. I got books up washed a batch & went to bed at 6: Ray got supper & did chores. Ivard & Kids got home at 8:30 & they ate. Ward Teachers came. Ivard went to work before I got up to go.

Wednesday, April 13, 1960

got new Singer

I came home from work & had a bath & gt ready & went in to Kotters to go to Boise to Dr. with her & Leva. I lost 3 lbs, makes 9 for month & 55 all together. Ivard got home while I was bathing & took Kids to school. He tended Jackie & Killed & cleaned a turkey to sell 70's for banquet.

I got home at 1: & Ivard & Jckie were bathing.

At 1:30 the guy delivered my new Singer slant-o-matic. cost $349. We went to bed at 2: & Ivard got up at 3: & went after Kids at 4: I got up at 5: & washed a batch of cloths & Ivard & I & Kids went in & got groc. & cookies for school tomorrow. stoped at Leva's & she gave me her batheing suit. got Gene & came home & ate. Ray had it ready & had left, with Mrs. Pendelton for Caldwell music festival, he was in it.

I came home & ate while Ivard took Kids to school. I read paper & Ivard went to bed. I got some more information for guy to fix Income tax & at 10:15 I took it in to him & Ivard got up & tended Sis. I washed a batch of sheets & Ivard hung them out. I went to relief society work day after seeing lawyer. had a good dinner. came home at 1:30 & went to bed with Ivard & Jackie. got up at 3:45 when Ivard went after Kids & got books up & sewed buckle on shoe.

Ray walked home & got here at 5:15 & got supper & I went back to bed with Ivard. Gene took Pick-up to school & got home at 6: I got up & ate & went back to bed until time to go to work.

At 7: Ivard & Ray went in to high school to a meeting for freshmen.

got letter from Louie & Jerry

I came home from work & took Kids to school & ate & read paper. Ivard came home & helped gather up cloths then went to bed. I sorted cloths & washed 5 batches.

made me some lemonade

relief society teachers came at 10:30.

I got Ivard up at 2: & we went to town to bank, I drew $75. out of my Simplot Savings this morning

We went to Idaho Income tax place to file & he said I had to get an accountant to do the sale of place. We went all over hunting one & they were all too busy. finally got Mr. Caldwell, he says its a mess but he'll try & do it by Friday.

came home in rain & went by for Kids but some one gave Dean a ride & Dale stayed to Loders & Ivard got him when he went after Gene. got cloths in & put in dryer Ivard & I made Kids beds. I went to bed. Ivard & Gene went ward teaching & Ray went to mutual.

Kay went back to school

I came home from work & Kay & Gene had gone over to Owyhee to Priesthood & sunday school. I ate & went to bed.

Ivard & Ray went to priesthood with Max.

I got up at 10:45 & had a bath & me & Kids went to sunday school.

Came home & Kay, Gene & Claudia were here. I got dinner, fried chicken & fixed salad & cooked asparagus & made gravy. Claudia helped Ray make a Germans  choclate cake. We ate at 4: & I made frosting for cake & we had a piece & at 5: Kay took Claudia home. Ivard & I went to bed. Ivard got up & took Kids to church & put Jackie to bed with me. Kay came home & packed & at 9:45 Ivard took him to bus depot to meet kids & go back to school. Ivard went to work. I left for work at 11:

Gail was over

Singer guy called & I bought the delux head in a cabinet for $349. on sale bring it Wed.

I came home from work & ate & visited awhile & went to bed. Mrs. Barlow came & took Dean to Marble tournment at 9:30 & brought him home at noon. Ivard cleaned 2 chickens & Gene finished corrigating hay & they watched ball game. Ivard worked on sprinkler system. At 2: Ivard - Kay & Gene went in to high school & watched Ricks at college track meet. they came home at 4:30 & Ray had house cleaned & was getting supper. Kay got ready & went over & took Claudia to show. left before we ate. I watched T.V. then Gail & Lynda came & stayed until 9: then Ivard & I went to bed. Ivards nite off.

I went to work at 11: I was in bed most of day but didn't sleep much, too noisy.

Friday, April 8, 1960

Kay came home

I came home from work and I took Kids to school. Ivard worked overtime & never got home until 9:15. I ate & read paper & went to bed. at noon Ivard & Jackie came to bed & we got up at 2: & went to town & exchanged Ivard hat then Ivard went & got a hair cut & Jackie & I bought her some levies & red T shirt & went & looked at pick-up trailer houses & boats at spring sports display on street then we went to Singer & tried out new sewing machine got groc. & parked at bus depot & waited until 6: for Kay. he drove down from Rexburg with 5 other Kids for week end. We came home & Ray had supper ready & I made punch & we ate & Kay went over & got Claudia & went to Gails. Gene went to Boise to play Borah & got beat. Ivard went after him at 8: & I went to bed until time to go to work. Ivards nite off.

Ivard is 45 today. He got card from Jerry.

I came home & took Kids to school & went to bed.

Ivard tended Sis & corrigated hay till he ran out of gas

I got up at 12:30 & 1:30 I went after Dean & Dale, got out for teachers meeting. Ivard & Jackie went to bed & Dean, Dale & I went to town & got Ivards birthday presents & got Dean & Dale some ball hats, & shirts. got groc. & droped Kids off at Primary & met Ivard at Albertsons, He brought Jackie in to me & Gene to play ball. Gene took Pick-up this morning & came home & ate at 2:30. Ivard went to get hair cut & to ball game. Jackie & I came home & got books up. Ray came on bus & got supper & did chores. I went to bed at 6: until Ivard came at 9:30 with Gene & I got up & ate. Went to work. Ivard didn't get hair cut - too many ahead of him.

I came home from work & took Kids to school & read paper & we ate & went to bed.

Ivard & Jackie made a fence & partitioned part of hay off for cow pasture.

Ivard & Jackie came to bed at 1: I got up at 3:30 & went after Kids & washed my bed & another batch. Put socks away & cooked supper.

Ray came home on bus & cleaned my bed room & back porch.

Ivard went after Gene & we ate & went to bed until time to go to work.

Kay is comeing home for week end.

Tuesday, April 5, 1960

I came home from work & Ivard took Kids to school & I ate, read paper & went to bed.

Ivard tended Jackie & washed a batch of socks.

I got up at 1: & Jackie & I got ready & went up & picked up Jean Perks & Kids & we went to relief society. Ivard went to bed & at 4: him & Dean met me at high school & we watched Gene beat Caldwell. He is catch. Mrs. Kotter & Melissa came & watched with us.

Ivard & Dean came home after with me & Gene brought Pick up. Ray was home but didn't have supper ready. He got it & we ate & we went to bed until time to go to work.

Monday, April 4, 1960

I came home & Ivard was here & took Kids to school. I sorted clothes, ate, read paper then made some lemonade. I washed 4 batches of cloths & went to bed at 1: Ivard went at 9: Jackie went to bed with me & when she got up Ivard got up & tended her & hung out the last batch I washed & washed another & hung. Ray got them in when he got home & Dean & Dale put them away. Ivard went & got little Kids. Ray fixed hot cakes for supper, he came on bus. He went to Mutual with Pendeltons & Gene did chores & went with Max. I got up at 6:30 & fixed me something to eat & went back to be at 7:30 till time to go to work. Ivard & little Kids went to bed early too - Ivard went to work at 10:20.

Sunday, April 3, 1960

No priesthood today. we watched general conference. Ray put ham roast on & I washed my - Ivard - Gene, Dean, Dale & Jackies hair & had a bath & we all went to sunday school. got some icecream & came home & had dinner & they watched T.V.

I spent all afternoon working on my income tax. Got it done all but copying. Gene did chores & him & Ray went to church with Pendeltons & we went to bed early so we could go to work.

Saturday, April 2, 1960

Gail - Lynda & Kids came.

I got up at 8: & started to iorn & I iorned all day, 75 pieces washed about 4 batches of cloths.

Gene did chores & made hot cakes.

they got grain & hay corrigated & Ivard planted some more in the fall seeding.

Ray cleaned the house

Kids played out side all day & Ivard & Ray pruned roses

Ray got supper & Ivard cut all the Kids hair.

We ate & at 6:45 Max came & rode in to Stake House with Ivard - Gene & Ray to general priesthood conference by direct wire.

I watched T.V. about 8:30 Gail Lynda & Kids came & brought Ivard a decorated birthday cake & gal. dairy punch & they ate it when they got home at 10: Gail couldnt come on his birthday

Friday, April 1, 1960

I came home & Ivard took Kids to school, read paper & washed 3 batches of cloths. Ivard killed Turkey gobbler & cleaned it to seel 70's. weighed 22 lbs.

I dampened cloths & Ivard & Jackie ate & we went to bed at 1:30. Ivard got up at 3:30 & went & got Kids. He woke me up at 5:45 to eat. Ray came on bus & Got supper.

At 6:45 we took Ray in to Stake house to dress rehersal & got Gene from practice.

I got books up. Ray got home at 8:15. I went to bed early & Ivard & Kids watched T.V.
