grey & spots of Sun now & then

Ivard got up & took Jerry to work his day off but he had to work, & got his check.  I read paper & Dean made waffles & we ate then I worked on my books and Dean & Jackie did dishes.  figured out check & at 12:30 we went up & paid place & bills.  Gene went with us.  Lyle followed us home & they watched ball game then Gene & Lyle went & looked at some houses for rent.

Ivard went to work at 4:

Lyle took Jackie up to Gails to play at 4:15 and she came home at 8:30

Gene went too to look at houses with Lyle & Barbra.  Lyle brought Gene, Dale & Jackie home at 8:30 & got Dean to go up & stay all nite & tend Gails Kids.

I went up & got Jerry at 5: & we bought $20. worth of groc. & came home & Jerry-Dean & I ate. 

Jerry worked on books awhile.  Jackie & I went to bed at 9: & Jerry- Gene & Dale went about 10: Ivard was home & in bed before midnite.  I listened to new year in in New York & Chicago on radio & went to sleep woke up just in time to hear it here.

Ray went back to Utah

Ivard got up & took Jerry to work & droped Dale off at M&W to meet Gail.

Ray went up town awhile then we played Scrabble.  Lyle came few min

Gail & Lynda & Kids came & brought Dale home.

Ivard took down Xmas tree and went to work at 4:

Ray decided to go back to Utah & got his cloths packed.  We ate supper & Jerry _ Dean & Jackie took him up to train at 8: he acted like he didn't want me so I got mad & went to bed.  train was hr. late then couldn't get going here.  it was 9:45 time they got home.

Dale went back home with Gail so he could work with him Tomorrow.

Jerry went up to pack out & brought me a drink.

cloudy, dreary day _ snow flurries

I got up when Jerry _ Gene, Ray & Dean went to Priesthood, Ivard wouldn't go, had to watch foot ball game, some example, Father he is, just a spoiled little Kid.

I read paper & worked on puzzle and made a beef stew with bisciuts on for dinner & we had a Xmas carrot pudding with lemon sauce

Jerry came home & got Dale for sunday school.  They got home at 1:40 & Jerry dashed up & got some milk.  We ate at 2:30 & Jerry & Ray went to Murrys.  Dean did dishes & I worked on my books.  Ivard sat & watched T.V. until he was almost late for work at 4:

Kids went to church and Jackie & I went to bed.  she doesnt feel too good yet.

Saturday, December 28, 1963

rained for 2 or 3 hrs this morning

Ray got up & went to Idaho City with Phil, all day sleigh rideing.  Jerry didn't have to be to work today until 10: then Ivard took him.

Dean cleaned up the house & I washed & iorned cloths all day, stoped at 2:30 & Ivard & I & Dean played 1 game of Scrabble and Gene & Jackie took Gails car home they used last nite to come home.  They went at 2:30 & Came home about 6:30, Gail brought them & Dale & him & Debbie stayed until after 8:

Ivard went to work at 4:

Jerry got groc. & came home with Bill from work at 7: I sent Dale to bed for fighting & bawling.  Jerry went up to Alices awhile then gave us a dish of sherbet.

Kids made so much noise I couldn't hear T.V. so I got mad & went to bed and they watched, Jerry _ Gene & Ray.

I washed my hair & when Ray got home at 5: he went & got his cut & I washed it.

Friday, December 27, 1963

Cloudy & foggy all day.  Thawed Ivards day off but he went to work at 7: switching got home at 2:30

I got up at 9: and washed cloths & iorned & made made a fancy jello salad for supper.

Gene took Jerry to work.  Dale didn't go with Gail today got up to late.

When Ivard came we played a game of Scrabble then I cooked supper.

Ray got up at noon & went to Phills all afternoon then came home & ate & went with Phil to Priest spagetti dinner at church.  Kids Played games

Ivard & I & Dale went & got feed & got Jerry & after we ate Jerry took him up & Gene to go to Caldwell with Gail to get his truck

Jerry had a dinner date.

Lyle came & ate after work & him & Ivard went over to Stake House & Lyle played ball.  Dale went with them.  Gail & Gene were going too.

I worked on books & watched T.V.

Jackie & I went to bed at 9: only day during holidays Ivard would be home so we could have done something.

Thursday, December 26, 1963

grey & cloudy all morning.  snowed all afternoon & most of tonite.

Ivards day off but he went siwtching at 8: took Jerry to work on his way.

Gene & Ray got home, from staying all nite at Lyles about 3:

I went to bank for Jerry then I signed up for unemployment.  got jerry some pills & took them back up to him.

Washed some cloths and iorned

Gene, Dean, Dale & I went up town & exchanged their Xmas pants then went & got Jerry from work & he took Dean & Dale & got them a bigger coat their Xmas present, were too little.  I bought Dale a new pr. hytop shoes & a pr. boots

Gene got him a new pr. shoes.  came home & ate.  Gail came & took Ray up to tend Kids for awhile while he went to see about his new furniture.

Jerry was sick & him & Sis stayed home & went to bed & Ivard, Gene, Dean Dale & I went over to Lyles.  Snowed on us all the way over & back.

We played Cards.

Wednesday, December 25, 1963

Christmas_ nice day _ not too cold.

I got a coughing spell at 7: & woke up so I woke everyone up & we got up & opened our presents.  We all really had a nice Xmas.  We cleaned up & put our Things up then Ivard_ Gene Ray & Dean went up to church and got some chairs & tables and took up to Gails.  Gail came while we were opening presents and Dale went home with them.  Gail had Debbie, Kristine & Jeff with him.  My Xmas list in back. At noon Jerry (he was sick) & I bundled Jackie up & went up to Gails too.  When Lyle & family Came we all opened our presents.  I got avon dusting powder, cologne, & stich cologne.

We Ivard & I dashed home at 3: & he got ready for work then we went back & had big turkey dinner & Ivard went to work at 4: We came home at 6: and brought Stanley & Terry then at 8: Gene & Ray took them back up to Gails & Dale to go stay all night to work for Gail tomorrow

Gene & Ray went to Nyssa to Stake Xmas dance & stayed all nite at Lyles.  Lyle came for few min on way home.  Ivard got home early & we watched last show.

Tuesday, December 24, 1963

got new speed queen dryer for Xmas

dismal day

finished wrapping presents this morning _ and for Gene.

cleaned up & Jerry _ Ray & Dean & Gene went up town awhile.

They brought me a new dryer & set it up.  I was really surprised.

Dale went with Gail all day & he brought him home tonite.

Dean came home & made fancy Xmas cookies & Ivard-Jerry & I went up town then went & Jerry bought us $27. worth of groc. for holidays.

Jerrys day off but he was supposed to work but they let him off to go to Dr. then Dr. called & said he wouldn't be there Today.

Cooked a ham.

Ivard went to work at 4: & got home about 11: & we played Santa

Jerry, Ray, Dean & Dale went delivering Xmas presents then they brought Dean & Dale home & went again

Ivard & I & Gene played penochle until everyone got home & to bed

Monday, December 23, 1963

foggy & cold.

I came home from work & went to bed until noon.  We are off for holidays until Jan. 5th.

Jerry worked at Safeways.

Dale worked with Gail all day, Ray half

Dean cleaned house good & I washed cloths.

Ivard went to work at 3:45

We ate & I dashed up at 6: & took Jerry & Ray to Homestead to Dairy queen Party then went up to Gails & got Dale & Dean & I took him up to church to Ward Xmas programe & Santa Clause Jackie still has mumps so Gene stayed home with her.

Came home at 8:30 & watched T.V. Jerry & Ray got home about 10:

Foggy

I came home from work & went right to bed.  Sis is swelled real big on both sides & feels awful.  She laid on davenport & I slept while Ivard, Jerry_ Gene Ray & Dean went to Priesthood & sunday school.  They came home & Took Dale to S.S. They came home & Jerry & Dean went to meeting at Stake house.  When they Came home we ate.

Ivard went to Wilder at 1:30 & got home about 5:30 breaking, his day off.

Kids went to church & Ivard & Gene watched TV.  Jackie & I went to bed early.

I came home from work with Arleen WIlma got sick.  I went right to bed

Dean was gone to Idaho City sledding for day when I got home.

Kids went shopping & woke me up at 2: so I got up & washed cloths & cleaned up.

Ivards day off but he went breaking at 2:30 to Weiser.

Dale went to work with Gail this morning

After Kids got me up, Gene Ray & Jackie had nap.

Dean got home at 5:30 and Ivard got home about 8:

Went & got Jerry from work & ate & I went to bed until Time to go to work.  took Sis with me she doesn't feel a bit good, mumps.

Jerry went down to dairy q. for about hr.

Ray went to Boise to Tupperware Party with Evelyn Elmore.

little kids got out of school until Jan. 6

I went back to work after being off sick 2 weeks

saw sun a min. foggy most of day & it snowed awhile

Florist delivered me a big boquet of carnations from Jerry.

I got up at 6: & read paper & practied piano then took Jerry to work.  Took Sis to work School.  Ivard got up at noon & Gene & Ray at 11: I took Gene & Ray up to Gails & mailed some sutff & went To bank for Jerry.

Came home & Ivard & I wrapped Xmas presents then went to Caldwell to Gold Strike CEnter & came back & picked up Jackie up at school they are out until Jan. 6.

I washed 4 batches of cloths & dried over stove.

Lyle came a min.  Dean fixed supper & I went & got Jerry & we ate & I took Jerry up to get haircut & went hunting Ray to work.  was supposed to be at D.q at 6: I went up to Gails & she said they were out to Bulldog Lanes so I went & got him, ½hr late.  Gail brought Gene to get his cloths & he went up & had Lynda cut his hair & he got ready & Jerry picked him up when he went after his date, Karen Williams & they went to Middleton to 5 take M_Men Gleaners dance.  He droped Dean off on way to Xmas Party at greys.  I went to bed until time to go to work.

Ray got home from school

real foggy all nite & today

took piano scarf off stretching & got my last dresses scarf on.  washed a batch of cloths.

I got up at 6: & fixed breakfast & Dean went to Seminary & Ivard Jerry _ Dale & Jackie went up to train at 7:30 & met Ray then took Jerry to work at Safeway.  brought Ray home & Ivard took Dale & Jackie to school.

Ivard, Ray & I went up to Wards & charged 2 new tires & got them on car & got a bunch of cloths for every ones Xmas, came home & Lyle had brought Gene home so Gene, Ray & I went to Boise at 3: & picked up Jerrys Tupperware came back & got Jerry from work at 5: & came home & Ray fixed supper while I went & got Dale & Jackie from Primary.  Ivard went to work at 4:

We ate & I took Jerry up to work at D.q. 6: to close & Dale cleaned his yard.  Gail Came up then down to our place.

I didn't feel like going to work yet.

Ray went up at 8: & I finished for Jerry & he came home & went to bed.  I went to bed at 8: & read until 1: AM

Gene came home & went to Lyles ½hr later

sun shone a min.  grey & foggy all day frost on everything.

Kids went to school and Ivard Took Jerry to Safeways and came home & went back to bed.

I read paper & my book awhile then spent all morning penning out my piano scarf, new and drying cloths over stove.

Gene got home about 2:30 & we went up to Gails a few min's to see how mumps were, Debbie is real sick.  Lyle was there & Gene went home with him.  came home & Ivard ate & went to work.  We wrapped a few presents just before Gene came.

Kids came from school, Dean went today & we ate.

I got books up

Took Jerry up to Dq. to work at 6: & we went out to Hurrens to Piano lessons.  Came back to D.q. at 7:45 & got Jerry, he got Mrs Murry to work for him, & came home & Jerry went to Safeway Xmas party until 10:45 & he came home to bed.  He doesn't feel a bit good.  I read until Ivard came, still don't feel like going to work.

My 29th anniversary

cloudy sun shined some- foggy Tonite.  Dean was sick & I Kept him home in bed.

Jerrys day off.  he got up early & put away his Tupper ware party from last nite & went to Caldwell to Dr. at 9:30, had to go 24 hrs without anything to eat.  They called later & said he didn't have sugar diebiets.  I helped him wrap all his Xmas presents he gave something for us to give each Kid & from Santa.  There we drew name & he was only supposed to buy 2.  He gave Ivard & I over $100. worth of presents to give.

He got supper while I took Jackie to dance class & their Xmas party.

Ivard went to work at 4: & when he came home at midnite we went up to Chinese place & had chow mein.  He was goeing to lay off & we were going to Boise but never.  I'm still off.  We got home at 1: A.M.

Jerry was supposed to work at D.q but he was too sick, got Some one to work for him I went to bed at 1

Monday, December 16, 1963

got letter from Ray

Cloudy & grey all day.

Kids went to school.  I took Jerry to work & came back & sat in chair & slept until almost 10:, I was sick in nite & didn't get much sleep.

Ivard went & got his check & I figured out what to do with it and we went to bank, & paid bills. Came home & made out payments to mail.

We ate & Ivard went to work helped Dean finish fixing house & went & got Jerry at 5: & Came home & we got ready for his Tupperware open house 6: to 10: he had quite a few come & sold a lot of stuff he had on hand.

after it was over him & Dean went up to D.q & had some one pick a name out of pot for the drawing.  Alice won

I didn't go to work again Tonite.  I don't feel up to it.

Debbie has mumps

sunshined today.

We read paper in bed then Ivard took Jerry up to D.q. to work at 10: he had to open up.  He took Dale & he cleaned up the yard.  They Came home & Ivard got ready & he & Dean went to Priest hood.  I got boks up & practiced my piano.  Ivard came home & got Dale & Jackie & they all went to sunday school.

I read papers & worked on my puzzle contest.

When they came from Church we fixed dinner & ate.  Ivard watched T.V. all afternoon

Dale brought Buttler boy home for afternoon.

Gail Came a min this morning.  Debbie has measles mumps.

I finished fixing rest of my Xmas Cards.

I went & got Jerry at 5: & we went & bought some gas.

Ivards day off.

We all got ready & went to church I was supposed to go to work tonite but I don't feel good yet.

Ray called while we were up to Gails

snowed during nite & this morning ground is white-every one forgot to wake up & Jerry was half hr. late for work time Ivard took him.

I finished getting Xmas Card, ready

Dean scrubbed & waxed floors and changed all the furniture around

Ivards day off and mine.

Ivard went to store & had hair cut & I fixed lunch.  He watched ball games all day.

I washed 5 batches of cloths & iorned all afternoon.  Changed my bed & Ivard helped me make it.

I rode up with Ivard to get Jerry then him & Dean went ward teaching.  While they were gone Gail & Lynda Came & brought Dale home, they only stay out few min.  When Jerry came we ate & Ivard took him up to work at D.q. 7: until 12:30.  I got ready and Ivard & I went up to Gails & played penochle.  We got home about 11:45 & watched late show.  Ivard went and got Jerry.

Ivard went to work at 3:50 and Kids came home and I took Dean up to get hair cut then went & got him & we went & got Jerry at 5: & Came home after Jerry helped Dean buy a box of candy for Jernalism teacher tonite at dance, Dean had to present it as editor.

I washed Deans hair & him & Dale made their 3 beds, I washed, while I took Jerry to work at D.q. at 6: We got ready & at 7:15 went & got Jerry, he got some one to work rest of nite he was sick and we went & had supper at Ward reunion.  Smorgersberg-real good-left at 9: before programe & took Dale up to Gails to stay all nite.  at 11: I had to go to Central & Pick Dean up & we went up & woke Gail to give him a message_

I felt a little better today I got up & took Dean to Seminary and I got up & when he came from takeing Jerry to work at Safeway we took Jackie to school then went out to Hurrens and to get car, forgot Keys & had to come back & get them.  Ivard opened hood right up & I got it going.  When we got home Ivard took it up & got new part so we can start it.

I spent afternoon fixing my Xmas cards, got biggest part of them ready.

Ivard went after Sis but missed her, she walked to Primary.  He went to work at 3:50.

I cooked a good supper, meat loaf carrots & peas, jello salad, baked potatoe

I went & got Jerry from work then we went & picked Kids up at primary & Came home & ate.

I took Jerry up to work at D.q. 6: till close

Ivard sold heifer for Xmas money.

Jerry took Dean to Seminary & came home & ate & went to work at Safeway.  He came home for lunch today.  Ivard went & rented a trailer & took gurnsey heifer to sale so we would have some Xmas money.

I worked on quickie contest, washed a batch of cloths.  washed my & Ivards hair.

Kept Sis home again today

Ivard went & got his glasses he'd left to be adjusted & they broke lens & had to fix.

Lyle & Barbra stoped in few min on way from Boise, Took Terry for his 3 mo. check up for T.B.

Ivard went To work at 3:50.

We took Jerry to work at D.q. 6: To close & after we ate, he got home from Safeway at 5:30.

We left Jerry & went out to Harrens & Dean, Dale & I had our piano lesson.  couldn't start car so Mr. Hurren brought us home at 9: & Dean did dishes & dale & Sis went to bed.  I got books up.  I still can hardly sit or walk, stayed home again.

Jackie didn't go dancing.

Xmas Turkey dinner at relief society.

wind blew hard all nite, cold.  sunshine Today.

I Kept Jackie home from school she has such a caugh.

Jerrys day off.  He took Dean to Seminary & came home & got ready & went to Caldwell to doctor & had some more tests.  Jerry came home & brought a hamberger & drink for Ivard & Jackie & drink for me.

I had shower & got ready & at 10: Ivard left Sis alone & took me up to church to relief society work day & Xmas party.  We had lesson & demonstrations & made Xmas Things.  We had a delicious Turkey dinner.  Jerry came & got me at 1:

Ivard went to work at 3:50.

Dale never got home from school until 5:50, been to basketball practice.

Jerry went to work at D.q 6: to close

Gail came few min. & called his order in.  Dean went to mutual with Perrys.  Jackie & I went to bed at 7:, now I've got sores & can't sit down or walk.  off sick.

Monday, December 9, 1963

Sent letter to Mother - Gene - Ray sent tie-breaker contest in.  Jerry started working for Safeway.

Jerry took Dean to Seminary & went to work. Started at 8: working for Safeway- training for butcher.  good set_up, sounds like.

Kids went to school & Jackie got up at 8:30 & Ivard took her.

I washed cloths & finished up my final tie breaker contest puzzle & Ivard took it up & mailed it & put some money in bank for me.

I wrote letter to Mother _ Gene and Ray & Ivard mailed them when he went to work at 3:50, rode with Dusty.

Jerry took Dean up to buy us a new piano book then left him to Church to play practice & he went over to Stake House to M_Men & Gleaners.  Dean came home at 9:30 with Crofts & Jerry came at 10: him & Dean went up to D.q. & brought us a drink.  I was watching T.V. I still feel awful so I laid off again.

cloudy _ snow flurries tonite

Jerry had to be to work at 10: at D.q. so Ivard took him up & Dale cleaned up his yard then they took Dean up to Priesthood & came home.

Ivard & Dale went to Sunday school.  Jackie was caughing too much.  I worked on my contest puzzle all day, until I could scream, last day.  I have to send it in tomorrow.

WHen they came from church I fixed dinner & we ate & I went on doing puzzle, read paper.

Ivard watched ball game all day.  He went & got Jerry at 5: Jerry fixed Xmas Cards & made out a party order for me a Tupper Ware Party (2nd) on 2nd gold Key.

Jerry, Dean & Dale went to church when they came home & toated Tuna fish sandwiches & Jerry brought home cake, icecream & strawberries & we had shortcake.  Ivards nite off I laid off again still don't feel good.

Dean cleaned up house and I washed clothes all day & worked on my contest puzzle in between.

Ivard sat & watched T.V. all day as usual.

Jerry went up town then I took him up to work at D.q. 10: to 6:

Dean went up to store on bike then we fixed supper & ate at 5:30.

I got ready & went & got Jerry & brought him home then Ivard & I, Dean & Jackie went up to Gails & got Dale at 6: & we went over to Parma To visit Lyle.

We played cards & had choclate sundee & cookies.  came home at 1:30 A.M.

My & Ivards nite off.  I still don't feel good.

got our first Xmas card (2)

rained hard about 4:30 A.M then hailed a little_sunny most of day, first time we've seen sun in over a week.

Jerry took Jackie to school & came home & rested & wrapped Xmas presents all morning.  He doesn't feel very good.

I got up & ate & just sat after I read paper I feel so dizzy & head ache ect.

I got books up & worked on my Contest puzzle.  Ivard got up & ate & read a novel all day, he found out in garage yesterday.

Jerry went to work at D.q. lunch hr. then went up to Safeway & practiced a while.

Ivard went to work at 3:45.

Jerry took Kids up Town & bought Dale a hat & brought hambergers & tater Tots home for supper.

He went to Boise to Party at one of his missionary companions & took Alice.

Gail came & left Kids & we went up to Albertsons to moonlight sale, Gail won Turkey.  He bought us a soada.  They went home & took Dale to work tomorrow.

Ivard came at 11:15 & we watched show.

Jerry went to Dr in Caldwell

another dark dreary day, haven't seen sun in over a week.

I came home so sick, started my period after 90 days, thought I was in change.  I read paper & went right to bed at 9:30.  Ivard was still asleep.  When I got up at 4:30 he was to work.

Dale looked OK so I let him go to school.  Jerry took him & Jackie on his way to Caldwell to see Dr. when I got up he wasn't here either nor Dean, I guess they were up town waiting for Kids from Primary they were.  Came home & Jerry fixed supper.  I had 20 eggs deviled.  We ate and I took Jerry to work & I doctored & went right to bed after I called work & laid off.

Dr. is giving Jerry a complete physical blood tests _ exrays ect. won't know results until he goes Tuesday.

Wednesday, December 4, 1963

grey & dismal all day about 27°

I came home from work read paper & went to bed at 9:30 & was awake again at 12:30 I laid there awhile & couldn't go back to sleep so I got up & cut up nuts to make xmas pudding on my day off.

Jerry took Jackie to school and went up to Safeway for awhile and made minute steaks, training. worked at D.q. noon hour & from 6: to close

Ivard sat all day as usual, & watched T.V. doesn't read, turn his hand over to do a tap, just sits.  I get so mad.

I practiced my piano lessons & got supper.

Ivard went to work at 3:50.

Dale came home with a rash all over his face so I had him take a hot bath & put him to bed with electric blanket on high, thought he was getting measles.

Dean & I went out & had our Piano lesson then up to D.q & he did yard for Dale & Jerry gave us a soda.  Came home at 8: & went to bed until time to go work

cloudy & dreary 30° when we came home from work.

I read paper & went to bed at 9:30.

Jerry took Jackie to school

He worked at dairy q. 11:45 to 1:30 & 6: to close.

I woke up at 1:30 & couldn't sleep so I got up & worked on my books.

Ivard went to work at 3:45, rode with dusty.

Jerry took Jackie to dance practice & went & got her & I finished my books.

Jerry & Dean went to store & got stuff & fxied supper.

Dale went up & cleaned D.q. yard but never, just ate stuff & came home again.

We ate & I took Jerry to work then came home & at 7: I took Dale to Collect his Xmas card money from Pat&girls & we took Dean To Mutual. Came home & Jackie & I went to bed & Dale did dishes

dreary _ cloudy 26°

I got up after Kids went to school and washed my bed & the rugs.

Jerry went up to Safeway all morning & signed up to go to work for them starting Monday - training for butcher.  He didn't work at D.q. today, went to Boise at noon & never got home until midnite, met a bunch of Kids & went to show and ate.

Ivard got cut off brakeman & went back switching.  Went to work at 4: he helped me make bed before he left.

Worked on my puzzle.

I got supper & we ate.

Gail game few min.

I went to bed at 7:30 after I had a shower.

I went back to work tonite after being off sick over a week.

Sunday, December 1, 1963

Gene went back to Rexburg

cloudy most of day.

Jerry got up & went & took Kids to pass fast offerings then he & Dean went to Priesthood, came home & took Jackie Dale to sunday school & Fast meeting

Gene got up & went & milked Wallys cows took Gails car home & stayed ahile then Gail brought him home & stayed awhile didn't go to church, didn't know when Kids were going back to Rexburg him & Ivard watched ball game.  Jackie didn't feel good so I Kept her home.

I had dinner ready when they got home at 2:30 & we ate.  Gene left about 4:

Jerry went to work at D.q. 5: till close.  I took him up.

I was supposed to go back to work but I still dont feel like it.  Ivard didn't work today.

Ivard & I, Dean, Dale & Jackie went up to Gails & had pop corn & played Cards.  No church.  Came home at 8: & went to bed early.

Saturday, November 30, 1963

Ray went back to Utah on train

sunny but not very warm.

Gene got up & went & milked Wallys cows then worked for him all day.  Came home & had lunch.  got home at 5:30 had bath & went up to Gails with Lyle & took Gails car & went to Nyssa on date.

Ray was gone when I woke up, went to Boise to Xmas parade & window shopping with Edith.  Came home at 5: & went & got hair cut.

Dean cleaned house.

I changed beds & washed everything up & iorned all afternoon.  Gail brought Dale home tonite

Ivard went to Weiser at 2:30 I took him up & left Jackie at Gails for afternoon.

Made turkey rice soup for supper

Lyle & family came at 5:30 & brought a salad, thought we were haveing a big get together.  I sure didn't know it or feel like it.  They took it & went up to Gails _ Dale went & claned up D.q. yard

We went up to Gails half hr. then took Ray to train & came home at 8:30 & got Jackie, Jerry & Dean went to "Messiah" I went & not Ivard at 12:30 when Jerry got home.

Dale got up early & went up & met Gail & went to work all day.

Ivard went & got his check and I made out payments and This afternoon Jerry & I went up town and paid place then I sat in car while Jerry walked around & paid my bills for me.  Came home at 5: & Ivard h Gail Jerry, Dean & Jackie took Ray to Caldwell to see draft board this morning then they came home and Ray went to work at 12:30 until 6:

Dean did dishes & cleaned house while Jerry went & I went up town

Gene laid around all day & watched T.V & slept.  Jerry worked 6: to close

Ivard went to work about 2:30.

We ate supper & Gail & Family & Dale came & watched Xmas parade in color from Salt Lake Dale went home with them to Work Tomorrow.  Ray went on date after Parade Ivard came & he watched T.V.

Thursday, November 28, 1963

Ray came on 6:30 A.M. train

sunny & breeze_ not cold

Ivard got called at 6: AM so I got up & put Turkey in oven.  Ivard had to go breaking at 7:, Sugar factory run.

worked on my contest Puzzle all morning Ray went over to Kotters awhile.

Gene & Jerry & Dean went & met train at 6:30 A.M & got Ray & Ivard went to work.  Edith came right after Ray got home for few min.  Gene & Ray took Gails Car home at 10: & Gail brought them back at noon, watched game awhile.  Gail & Lynda are haveing all her folks today & Lyle & Barbra are going to her place.

Had dinner all ready at 12:30 & Ivard came home for hr & we ate & He went back to work.  Had Turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy, yams pickled beets, olives, cranberry, orange, pineapple salad, hot rolls, cranberry sauce & mince meat Pie.  Dean did dishes

Ray went to work at D.q 2: to close 10: & Jerry went 6: till close.  Ray got off at 10: & went with Phil rideing around.

I went to bed early.  Gail, Lynda & Kids came & they played Penochole.

I missed my Piano lesson.

Ivard got put on brakeman board tonite

sunny & not very cold

Ivard went to work for 8: & droped Gene off at store to go on route with Gail.

Jerry took Jackie to school & stoped at Venice's & got my check she got for me.

Jerry & I went to store & bought $30. worth of groc. got 13 lb. turkey.  Came home & Jerry went & worked at D.q. 11:45 until 1:45.

I don't feel very good, worked on contest puzzle made cranberry orange pineapple jello salad for tomorrow & cooked james.  When Ivard got home he took Jackie, Jerry & I up town & did a little Xmas shopping while Ivard got his gloves sewed at shoe shop.  Came home & they had hot cakes for supper.  We made 4 carrots pudding & steamed for 3 hrs. I don't feel good so I didn't go to Piano lesson, Ivard took Kids.  Lyle & Barbra came few min

Gene got home after dark & got ready & went to Nyssa in Gails Car.

sunny but cold wind.

my head is still just Killing me.

Kids all went to school today.

Ivard went to work for 8: & Gene rode up to store with him & went with Gail all day.
Jerry went to work 11:45, after he went to bank & up town, came home at 1:30 and Took me up to Dr. Lees office at 2: and I had my tooth pulled that my bridge fits on to, see if that helps the pain in my face & head.

Washed my some cloths and worked on my puzzle most of day.

Ivard came home from work & watched T.V. Jerry took Jackie to dance class.

They ate supper and Jerry went to work 6: to close.

Gene got home at dark & Lyle, Barbra came about 6:30.  Dale tended all the Kids & Ivard & I, Gene, Lyle & Barbra Took Dean to mutual & went up to Gails & played Penochle until 10:30. Came home & played another.

Monday, November 25, 1963

cold & windy

Our new President Johnson declared it a legal holiday for President Kenedys funeral.

no school.  Dale helped Gail all day.

Jerry didn't work any today.  They just laid around watching T.V. & funeral ect. nothing on all day but J.F. Kenedy, since he was shot.

Ivard went to work at 8: till 4:, bid on day job.

Jerry went to M_ Men gleaners.

Gail, Lynda & Kids came for awhile and brought Dale home tonite.

I sure feel awful, still haven't gone back to work.

Went to bed early.

Worked on my contest puzzle most of day.

Lee Aswald was Killed (shot) as they were moving him to another jail.

Ivards day off.

Jerry, Gene, Ivard and Dean went to Priesthood.  Ivard came home and took Dale to sunday school.  Jackie didn't feel good so I kept her home.  I sure feel awful.  worked on my puzzle & had dinner ready.

Jerry worked 5: till close

Ivard, Gene, Dean, Dale & Jackie went to church & I doctored & went to bed.  as soon as they left.

Gene got home for holidays in nite

Ivard came home work & went to bed.  I got up & got ready & took myself up to Dr. Dains again & he packed my face again & gave me a shot

Gene came home about 1:30 A.M this morning because the President got shot, he never got up until late then he laid around all day with Ivard, watching T.V. about President.

worked on my puzzle.

Jerry worked 11:30 to 6: & I Came home & got ready & we ate and he took Dean & gathered up Kids & went to Boise to Priest Teachers party

Gail brought Dale home at 1:30 & he went to birthday Party then came home & did D.q. yard.

Ivards day off.

Friday, November 22, 1963

President J. F. Keneddy was assinated in Dallas Texas.

stormy day.

I got up & got ready & at 10:30 Ivard took me up to Dr. Dains & he packed my sinus with cotton diped in stuff and I had to sit awhile.  gave me a perscription for my bad Cold.  While I was in Dr. Ivard went & paid some bills.  went to drug store on way home & got my medecine.  have to take it every 3 hrs, day & nite.

I just worked on my puzzle all afternoon & doctored.

Ivard bid on day job so he had to float tonite, went at 11:30.

I didn't sleep much tonite I was in such pain & had to Keep Takeing my medecine but I doctored & went to bed early.  laid off again, this time until I'm better.

Jerry worked tonite

Ivard took Dale up to Gails to stay all nite & work with Gail tomorrow.

President was Shot at Dallas by Lee Aswald, died hr. later.

I laid off sick - sinus

I Came home from work so sick, sore throat, bad cold & its settled in my sinus & hurts so bad.  I read paper & doctored good & went to bed.

Jerry went to work lunch hr. went & got Sis & took her to Primary & went & got her.  He fixed supper I feel terrible.

Ivard went to work for 4:

I got up & washed some cloths the pain in my head is so bad I had Jerry call in & lay me off sick.  I doctored good & went to bed early.

Jerry worked tonite.

Dale went selling Cards after Primary.

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed.

Jery worked the lunch hr. he went & paid bills for me & got me some more medecine.  I sure have an awful cold.

Ivard went to work at 3:50 for 4: I got up right after he left.

I practiced piano & Jerry & Dean fixed supper & we ate early.

Dean, Dale & I went out to Hurdens to piano lesson Jackie stayed home with Jerry.  Came home at 8:15 & went to bed until Time to go to work.

Mothers birthday today.

cloudy all day & good breeze, not too cold.

I came home from work & read paper & Jerry took Jackie to school & went shopping.  I went to bed at 9:30 & Ivard was still asleep.  He got up & did dishes Dean left last nite.

Jerry worked lunch hr & from 6: to close.

I woke up at 1:30 & Ivard came & rubbed my feet with lotion & Came to bed until 2:30.  We got up & Jerry went & got Jackie from school

I practiced my piano. at 3:30 we went to dancing. Came home at 5:30 & Jerry had supper ready & we ate & I took him to work & went up to Holly & Dale got his hair cut.  Came home at 7: & went to bed until time To go To work.

sunny & breezy - warm

Came home from work and read paper.  I went to bed at 9:30.  Ivard was still asleep.  he got up after I went to sleep & went up to Rail R. to get a job, he got bumped.

Jerry went up town & pd. bills & to bank. worked at Dairy queen for lunch hr.

Ivard sat all day again, watching T.V. Jerry went & sent mothers birthday

I got up at 2:30 & we listened to my new records. got mad at Ivard, he had 11. to get pick-up anti-freeze & went & charged it.

He went to work at 3:45.

Jerry fixed supper, first I've eaten since yesterday at 2:, fasted for Ray.

Jerry took Dale up to clean up Dairy q. yard after we ate.

Jerry went to M-Men-Gleaners

I went to bed until time To go To work.

Jerry & Dean & Alice went to Boise to hear Benson talk on John Birch Society

Sunday, November 17, 1963

Ray called

Gene went back to Rexburg

windy & cloudy not too cold.

read paper in bed, never got up until about 10:30.  Jerry & Dean went to priesthood & Jerry came home & took Dean & Dale to sunday school I fixed breakfast for Gene, Joe & I at 11: the rest of them had eaten

They watched T.V. awhile then Gene & Joe went up to Gails.  came back at 1: & got their things & left for Rexburg.

I washed a couple of batches of cloths & had nap. got up & iorned a few shirts.

Took Jerry to work at D.q. at 5: Till close.  Came home & went through my money collection, got books up

Ivard sat all day watching T.V.

I still have a sore throat & neck but not as bad.

Ivard, Dean & Jackie went To Church at 7:15.  Dale went home with Butlers after sunday school.  I went to bed at 7:30 until Time To go to work.

Ray called & wanted us to fast with him Tomorrow, having trouble with roommates

I feel horrible.  I got up about 10: Jerry & Dean fixed breakfast & Gene & Joe got up & ate about 10:30 then they went & got hair cut.  Came home a few min. then Took off for Nyssa for Day.

Jerry went to work 11:30 to 6:

I worked on books & washed cloths.  Ivard sat on his tulher & watched T.V. all day as usual.

I had a nap for awhile

Made big Kettle of chilli.

went up to D.q. about 3:30 & saw some of Mr Johnsons collection & got a list of latest prices.  went to store & came back & waited for Jerry to get off at 6: came home & ate and Jerry went to Weiser with the Russels to a wedding reception, got home at 1: A.M. Gene got home at 2: AM

Ivard & I & Jackie went to the Gails at 7: & played penochle until 11: & brought Dale home.  I doctored & went right to bed.  Ivard watched show till midnite.  My & Ivards nite off

Gene & Joe Peterson came for week end.

Sunny _ breezy - cloudy _ warm

I came home from work so sick.  I read paper & went to bed. got up at 11: & got ready & made out payments & went & got Jerry at D.q at 1:30 & we went to bank paid bills & got mother 3 slips for her birthday, pd. pick-up Ins and got groc at 3 different stores.  Came home at 4:30 & Ivard had gone to work.  Jerry cooked hambergers & we ate & I took Jerry to work at D.q. 6: till close & took Dale up to Gails to stay all nite & work for him tomorrow.  came home & at 7:15 I took Dean & went & picked up Mike Perry & took them to a surprise birthday party Came home & I doctored & Jackie & I went to bed at 7:40.

Ivard came home & watched late show he was just going to bed at 1:30 when Gene & Joe Peterson Came & they went to bed.

Ivard laid off work because he had cold, wasn't half as sick as me.

I came home from work so sick I read paper & went to bed I woke up at 4: just burning up & sore throat.

Jerry fixed supper & went & got Dale from Primary, Jackie forgot until too late.

We ate & Jerry went to work 6: till close.

I doctored & went back to bed at 6:, I got up at 10:30 & still felt awful but didn't want to miss any more work so I went any way.  rained hard on us going to work.

sent Jerry up to cash my check so I could pay my rides.

cloudy all day _ rained this evening

I came home from work & read paper.  Ivard & I had fight over the tractor check & I slammed it at him & went to bed & bawled He said I could have it to pay the Dr bills they'd turned over to credit bureau then he called Sugar Factory & told guy to come & pick it up on their bill.  I didn't know what he did about it but when I got up the receipts for Dr bills were laying here, he'd gone & paid them

Jerry worked this morn for Couple of hrs, didn't work tonite.

Ivard went to work at 3:45 & I got up after he left and Jerry had supper ready & we ate when Kids came.

I went & got gas & me a tablet for music lessons then Dean, Dale & I went out to Hurrens & had our piano lessons at 6: got home at 8:15 & Dale & Jerry went selling Cards

I got books up & went to bed at 8:30 till time to go to work.

I came home from work & read paper & watched T.V. awhile

I went to bed at 10: & woke up at 1:30 so I got up & ate & worked on my contest puzzle.

Jerry went & got Jackie at 3: & I got ready & took her to danceing then I went to Dr's & got weighed, lost 7½ lbs in 2 weeks.  got Rays Dr bill streightened out.  The nurse said I didn't need to Come back any more they'd had too much trouble & there its all been their error.  I was mad, was going to tell Dr. about it but she wouldn't let me in.  I went & got Jackie & came home & Jerry had supper ready & we ate.  I took Jerry up to D.q. at 6: to work till Close, he worked lunch hr. too.

Ivard raked leaves off lawn & watched T.V. until time to go to work at 3:50.

Jackie & I went to bed & Dean went to Mutual.  Dale & I had fight, he wanted to go to scout show at Pix & I wouldn't let him, didn't have work done or a way to go

Kids went to school, I got up at 8: & Jackie was asleep again, Jerry took her to school. 

I washed a batch of cloths & worked on Puzzle all day

Ivard got up & watched Borah Boise foot b. game on T.V. & went to work at 4: back switching.

I iorned all Deans cloths & Jerry fixed supper & I stoped & we ate.

Jerry took all Kids & took Dean to pass scout badge, ward teaching up to Gails & to get Dale a new flutaphone for school.

brought Kids home & went to meeting at Stake House.  I got books up & went to bed at 5:30

real foggy tonite - Ivard got up & went to work when I went to bed at 12:30 AM

foggy this morning, sunny & nice all day. breeze.

Ivard read paper in bed, Gail brought Dean home before we got up.

I got up at 9:30 & washed a batch of overalls and at 9:50 took Jerry up to Dairy q. to work, 10: to 5:, and Dale went & cleaned up his yard he should have done last nite.  Came home & Ivard & Dean had gone to Priesthood.  I made omlet for Dale & Jackie & worked on my final contest puzzle all day.  I stoped & took Dale & Jackie to sunday school & I cooked dinner & had ready when they got home at 1:30.  got books up while Dean did dishes and worked on puzzle again.  Ivard watched T.V.

Ivard took me up & bought me a drink when we got Jerry at 5:

washed my hair this morning.

I had shower & got ready & went to Church with Kids.  Ivard stayed home to listen to phone.  Came home at 9: & Jerry went & got root beer & ice cream for fireside & went, got home at 11:15 & everyone was in bed but me, working on puzzle.  I didn't go to work, never could get any one to tell them.  went to bed at 12:30

Saturday, November 9, 1963

sold tractor

Cloudy in morning & rained _ cleared up in afternoon pretty good.

Ivard went to work at 5:30 A.M & got home at 3:45.

I washed up all the dirty cloths & cahnged my bed.  I don't feel very good yet.  Dean cleaned up house

I took Jerry to work 11: to 6: at D.q.

Gail called at 3:30 & wanted me to go take Lynda to Cannery to get their pears before cannery closed for season so at 3:45 I took Dean up to Tend Kids & we went & got them.  Jackie stayed there & played until Gail brought Dale home after work.

worked on contest puzzle on & off all day.

We got home at 5: & Dean went to Barber & Ivard went & sold tractor to Mr. Peterson for $400.  I got $86. so far.

Jerry came home & him & Dean went ward teaching.  Gail came & brought Kids & took Dean home to stay all nite & tend Kids, had to wait for hr for him to get home.

Ivard & I played Scrabble & went to bed at 11:

Jerry & Dale went selling cards up to Alices till after we were in bed.

I came home from work and went to bed, I feel awful.  I couldn't sleep I was in such missery

Jerry worked this afternoon & tonie.  he went & got Jackie from school and took her to Primary & went & got them and fixed supper.

I went to bed early but couldn't sleep I was in such missery so Ivard called up and laid me off and he came To bed early too.

rained during nite & cleared off this morning then clouded up again & rained a little today.  windy got cloths dry out.

I came home from work & read paper & watched Real MCCoys & went to bed at 9:30.

Ivard was to work, went about 5: A.M. got home at 5:05.

I got up at 4: & practiced piano Jerry had supper ready & we ate at 4:30 and Dale went selling Xmas Cards.

Jerry worked 11:45 until 2:

Mrs Hurren called & said we could have our lessons earliers so when Dale got home at 6: we went & had our piano lesson.  We got home at 8: & I went to bed until time to go to work.

I came home from work & read paper & got Sis ready & Jerry took her to school.

I went to bed at 9: & got up at 1:30 & iorned until 3:15 & got ready & Jerry went & got Jackie & she got ready & I took her to dance lesson then went & voted for city councileman & mayor.  came home & ate, Jerry had supper all ready.

Jerry worked 11:45 to 2: at D.q. & went & voted & put some money in bank for Ray for me.

I took Jerry to work 6: to Close at D.q. I just got in bed & he called & said their was some big boxes up there so I got up & went & got a couple.  Jackie & I went to bed & Ivard came about 7: & went & voted.  He watched T.V until he got me up & went & got Jerry

I came home from work and read paper & went to bed at 9:30 Ivard was in bed he got home at 4:15 A.M.  He got up & tended Jackie, she was home sick again when Jerry went to work 11:45 till 5:

I got up at 3:30 & practiced my piano lesson.

Dean fixed supper & we ate & he did dishes

Ivard put new roof on shed so it wouldn't leak.

Jerry made out his Tupper ware order & went up to see Gail & Lynda & Took Dean up to Church, The Bishop wanted to see him and he went to ball practice after.  Gail & Lynda weren't home.

Ivard stayed up to get me up & went to sleep in chair & never got me up till 10:45.

I worked on my books & fixed dinner & we ate at 2:45 & Kids did dishes.

I wrote to Kay & was just going To write Ray when he called.  needs money tomorrow for book.

Jerry had to go to work 5: till close he took car.  no Church Tonite.

Ivard & Kids watched T.V. & I went to bed at 6:30 until time to go To work.  Ivard came to bed before I got up.  He got Called to work for 10:45, left while I was getting ready

Cloudy _ sunny breezy not very cold

Ivard got up & finished putting shelves in fruit room & went & got rest of stuff to fix roof ect.

I cooked a good breakfast & we all ate and Gene & his friend went up town & Gene got hi a new winter coat pants socks & shirts.  Came back & packed & Lyle took them to Boise to football meeting at 11: after they stoped at D.q & had steak sandwich on Jerry.

Lyle left Stanley, Terry & David here & they helped Dale carry fruit from garage to new fruit room.

I iorned all morning & washed some

Jackie is sick & Dean tended her & cleaned house good. & Dale went to bowling alley for Primary party & to Garners after.

Lyle came & got Kids & went home & at 1: Ivard & I went & got Gail & Lynda & went to Boise to Ricks, B.Y.C. game.

Boise won 27 to 14.  we talked to Gene awhile & they left on bus.  came home & ate & went & got Jerry, he worked 11: to 7: I drove Ivard & Jerry up to register to vote in city election & droped Dale off to clean Dairy q. yard.  Came home & had Tupper Ware party.  3 came.  Jerry took Alice home my nite off & Ivard laid off

Gene got up after I came home from work & went out to Wallys & got $100. & came back & got that Kid up & they went to Nyssa.  I went to bed for hour & half.  Jerry tended Jackie she was sick & stayed in bed today.  He went to work at 11:45 & came home at 2: & I got up & went to bank & paid bills and got groc. came home at 5: & Jerry had supper ready & we ate & Dean did dishes.  & I took Jerry up to work 6: to Close.

Lyle & Barbra were here while I was asleep then stoped in few min. at 2:30, had to get home to work.

Ivard had gone to Nyssa to work when I got home. he got home about 11:15.

Gene came at 3: & had to be in Boise to meet team at 3:30.  They came home at 6: & I cooked them a steak & they went back to foot ball meeting & ball game.  got home about midnite

My nite off.  I worked on contest puzzle & watched T.V. went to bed at midnite.

Gene & his boy friend came for weekend.

I came home from work & Ivard had gone to Nyssa to work.

I went to bed & got up at 3: & went up town at 3:45, droped Jackie off at Primary.  bought her 2 undershirts, 3 pr. pants bloomers, and a pr black stretch pants & white sweater to go with it, pajamas & pr. gloves for her birthday.  got Dale & Jackie from Primary and went & picked up her decorated cake & got groc. came home & Dean was in bed sick & Jackie was chilling.  no one wanted to eat so Jackie & Dale had dish of mush & she opened her presents.  Jerry gave her a Dairy q. bank & some money in it, a tupper ware square round with with cute little nigro doll in it.  Ray sent her 6 big 3 in haloween suckers & a blue & grey cordory pants & sweater set & called her on phone.

Jerry worked 11:45 until 2: was supposed to go tonite but got some one to work for him & went to Garden Valley to party with bunch of girls.  Kids went couple of places Trick-or treeting & Gail brought his Kids for half hr

Ivard got home at 7:30 & gave Sis a bike.  He ate & we went to bed.  Gene & Joe Peterson came when I was going to work to stay for week end.  Slept in my bed.

I went to bed but couldn't sleep from takeing that diet pill.  I got up at 12:30 & worked on my contest puzzle all afternoon.

Jerry worked 11:45 to 2: We washed a few cloths.

Jerry fixed supper & we ate & I took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens to their piano lesson.  I started takeing them tonite too.  We got home at 8:30 & Jerry had dishes done up.  Ivard was home when we got home.

I laid down until time to go to work but couldn't go to sleep.  I got up & went to work at 11: everyone was in bed asleep when I left for work.

Ivard got called to work at 9: I read paper in bed and got up and worked on my quickie puzzle all morning.

Jerry & Dean went to Conference & I had dinner all ready when they came home at noon & we ate & they ent back to afternoon session.  Dale & Jackie stayed home.  I worked on puzzle all afternoon.  Kids came home & Dean did dishes and Jerry went to work at D.q. 5: till 7:30 then came home & him & Dean went to Conference again.  Jerry worked for Mrs. Murry last nite so she'd work for him Tonite.

Ivard got home about 7: & we had a snack, Jerry brought us a hamberger, and watched Bonanza then I went to bed and Ivard came a little later.

Warm & breeze.

Ivard went to work early, brakeing & was home at 11:15 so he went & got some more stuff to work on shed and got insulation sub floor down in shed them he got called to work again for 2:30.   I fixed lunch & we ate & he left, got home at 8:50.

Jerry worked at D.q. 10: to 6: & I went & got him & he ate & Mrs Murry wanted him to trade her tonite for Tomorrow nite so he went back up at 7:30, I took him & he gave us a sundee

We changed all the beds & I got them all washed up 7 batches, & helped Dean make beds & he cleaned house, did dishes & made cookies.

Gail, Lynda & Kids brought Dale Home at 8: & took him up to Clean up his D.q. yard at 8:30 I went up & got him.  Ivard Came & we went up to Gails & played penochle until 12:30.

Jerry never got home until after 1: worked 15 hrs today.  My nite off.

I came home from work & Ivard was gone breaking.

I went to bed until noon & Jerry got me up when he left for work at 11:45, I took him up.

I worked on my quickie puzzle & got ready and went to Dr. Ross, had appointment since I was so sick monday.  He said it acted like I had a gall bladder full of stones.  gave me some medecene (pills) I take 4 times a day for 5 days then I go back & if I'm not any better he will exray.

We ate & I took Jerry to work at 6: Dale never came from school until 7:, been painting a store window up town, he hailed Ivard down & Came with him.

Gail, Lynda & Kids Came awhile & took Dale home to stay all nite so he could help Gail tomorrow.  Dean went up to H.S. to his foot ball game.  We went to bed early.  My nite OFF.

I read paper & went to bed & never woke up until 3:30.  I was cold & tired & didn't feel good & I turned my electric blanket on & really had a good sleep.

Jerry worked lunch hour & from 6: to close.  He took Jackie to Primary & went & got them & he fixed supper

I worked on my puzzle all time after I got up.  I got ready at 7: & was just leaveing to go to Bill's to stork shower on Helen Kotter, when Ivard got home.  We had a real nice party & she got a lot of nice things I got home at 10:30 & got ready & went to work.

Jerry went up & sent Rays genelogy.  He went to work at 11:45 until 1:30.

Ivard went to work at 51 45 to Weiser & got home at 5:30 P.M.

Kids went to school.  Jerry went to bank & went to work at 11:15, I took him up.  He came home about 2:30.  He went to store and after Jackie.

I worted on my northwest Hospital Contest all day _ washed a batfch of cloths & made turky chow-Mein for supper.  I took Jackie to danceing at 3:30.  We got home at 5: and ate & Jackie & I took Jerry up to work 6: to close.  We had a sundee.

Dale went selling Cards, came home & ate after we were through, he did dishes.

Ivard worked on shed & at 1:30 they put him back on brakemans board & he went to Weiser.

I got up & bottled 18 qts grape juice then went up to D.q & got 20 lbs sugar & used it up in jam then Dean & I went to store & got 25 lbs more.  I did 30 pts grape jam & 9 qts.  it was 10:30 before I got done.

Jerry went to work at 11:45 until 12:15, 12 hrs. When we went to store at 9: we stoped on way home at D.q. & had Sundee, me Dean & Jackie

Dale came home from school & went up & helped Gail at Pack out then came home & went up to Gails on bike to stay all nite & work for Gail tomorrow.

I came home from work and ate & read paper and went to bed at 9:45.

Jerry made out his Tupper Ware order & got it & his lesson in mail worked at D.q. 11:45 to 1:30 & studied all afternoon.

Ivard went & got some insulation & started fixing shed so we can Keep our fruit from freezing.

I got up at 3:30 & Ivard was just getting ready to go to work at 4: today is his day off so it will be overtime.

I went back to work after week off

We laid in bed & read all weeks papers & todays.

Jerry & Dean went to Priesthood & sunday school & Jerry came home & took Dale & Jackie.  Ivard changed flat tire on car & got all the stuff in & went up to Rail Road & marked up.  His day off.

I got all the things put away & all the our dirty things washed up & worked on my books all day.  Jerry had all the beds washed clean & made & the house all clean & all the cloths washed up.

Ivard went to store & got some chilli soup & we had it over meat pies we brought from Utah & I fixed dinner & we ate when Kids got home at 2: Jerry brought icecream & topping for desert.

Ivard got ready & went up to Chef Motel to Union meeting at 5: & I took Jerry to work at D.q 5: till Close & got some milk & had drink.  fixed out my Gold Key Party, had $106. get G.E clock radio, pr lamp, 2 muffin Pans.  Dale had Garner Kids in to watch color T.V.

Gail came awhile.  Ivard didn't get home until 8: so Gail took Kids up to church & Came back until 8: Jackie & I went to bed at 8:

End of Ivards vacation

cloudy & cooler but still nice.

Ruth fixed us a real nice breakfast & we loaded up & went over to Louies awhile & got some genelogy, pictures & new sheets.  We went back to Irvins & picked up Dale & Jackie & went to Bountiful to Ruth & Rays & visited for 3 or 4 hrs.  Deann & her husband & 2 Kids came & we all had a nice dinner.

Kay & Claudia came at 3:30 & picked Ray up & we told them goodbye & they left for Provo & at 4:10 we left for home.  We stoped at Brigham City & had root beer float., stoped at Burley for gas got home at 12:10 & Jerry had us locked out.  rode up to Dairy queen to see if he was there, wasn't so Ivard pried screen off & went in window.

We listened to B.Y.U._Utah game on way home & it was raining in Salt Lake all evening.

Kays reception at Bountiful

Sunny & hot _ breeze _ rained tonite

Kids ate over to Bernieces & we ate & Ivard did dishes while I gathered things up ready to go.  He took Dale up to Barber & I washed Jackies hair.  Dean did Bernieces dishes.  I washed Dales hair & we told them goodbye & left for Salt Lake at 11: We took mothers electric blanket, we gave her last birthday, in to Westinghouse to be fixed.  We were a hr. running around about it.  We stoped & had hamberger & shakes for lunch.  We went to Irvins & visited & Ruth fixed us supper & we all bathed & got ready.  Had to be up at Stake House in Bountiful by 7: for pictures before reception at 8: Dale was ush gift bearer & wore white dinner jacket, & Ray Came from Provo & wore white dinner jacket & was usher.  Jackie was flower girl.  There was a big crowd came.  had programe at 10: & we stood in line until then.  Jerry came too left on bus at 6: this morning, got here at 4: & we took him to S.L. to catch 1: A.M bus back home, had to work tomorrow.  They got a lot of nice things & a good varity.  Rained all evening.

Ray saw Gene today.  They stoped in Provo to practice on way to game at Grand Junction Colorado Ray went with us & stayed at Irvins.

We got up & had breakfast & Ivard took mother up to beauty Parlor & he did dishes & I spent all morning finished the seems on my new dress & washed my hair.

Dean & Dale went with Curtis until noon Picking up Potatoes & earned $1. apiece.

I helped Berniece with Dinner & we all ate over to her Place and all the Kids went to show at 2: (no school today) then Primary & Dale tended the baby for Berniece then she tended them Kids while Ivard_ Mother & I went to Salt Lake to Kays wedding We left at 3: & went to Temple early so we walked up to Z.C.M.I & bought me a gold necklace & errings to go with my dress for tomorrow nite.  got a blister on my heal.  Went on 5:15 Session & got out of there at 10:30 & 20 us went up to Sugar house to Harmons & had a good chicken supper.  There was Mother & I Ruth & Ray & Ivard besides the Petersons

We took Ruth & Ray back up to Z.C. to their car & came back to Grantsville got here at 1:15 A.M.

Ivard took Thermostat out & it was busted all to pieces, that was what was wrong last nite.  Put it in new before we left

We got up & ate & at 10: we went up to Toolle & got gas & me some shields & crochet thread then we took off through the hills for Provo & got to American Fork & stoped at Donnas but she wasn't home.  We went on down to Provo.  We went to Kays & he was home for lunch, we took him up to school & he took us in Cafateria where Ray works now, started yesterday, 20 hrs. a week We had our lunch there & Ray got off at 2:, works 10: to 2: every day.  We droped him off at class & we drove around campus then parked at football field & Ivard watched them & I crocheted.  We went back to Rays place at 3: & visited until he left for 4: class then we stayed there until he got back and we went up to Kays & Visited until Ray painted rest of Kays kitchen & cleaned up his mess then we all went to Pizza parlor & had our supper.  Took Kids back to Kays & we left for Grantsville at 9:.  We got about 15 miles out in desert & car boiled & we stoped at the only house in miles & cooled radiator off & got about a mile & it did it again so we set until it cooled off & drove real slow the rest of way.  got back to mothers at 11:

Mother finished makeing my dress & I finished seems & hemmed Bernieces new skirt then Dale Tended Kids & Mother & I & Berniece went to relief society. Theology & Testimony meeting & their opening social after.  Came home & I took Berniece & Mother to store & after milk then we came home & were just all going to eat over to Berniece when Ivard & Ken & Dean came, about 6: We thought they'd be until 9:30.

Kent, Dean & Curtis got ready & went up to church to Priesthood meeting.

Ivard helped with dishes & I finished the seams on my dress.

We got up & ate & Ivard did dishes & mother worked on my dress all day.  I hemmed Jackies & it was finished this after we all had dinner over to Bernieces.

Dean typed histories all day & did some typeing for Mother This afternoon Ivard & I went up town & got a few groc. & the mail & had drink at Dairy queen.  came home & fixed morrison meat pies covered with chilli for supper & we ate then visited over at Bernieces for awhile.

We went to bed early, after Berniece served desert, nothing else to do.

Sunny nice today.  We woke up & read paper in bed & left Motel checked out, at 9:30 & went up & got Gene & took him to breakfast then went back up & sat & talked awhile in car & listened to conference.  Then we left & drove over to Aunt Minnies, got there at 11:30 & talked to Morley until Minnie came from sunday school.  We visited awhile & ate lunch & at 2: we left for Utah.  I crocheted some on the way.  We stoped for gas & drinks here & there and got to Grantsville at 7: & went to D.q & ate before we went to Mothers.  she was over tending Berniece Kids.  We visited until Berniece got home from church

went to Rexburg to Utah, Granstville

Ivard started his last week's vacation

raining when we left home at 4:30 A.M for Rexburg on our way to Utah.  I had to lay off but its Ivards vacation.  Kids don't have school Mon. & Tues. but will miss rest of week.  We stoped at Arco & had breakfast at 8:30 & got to Rexburg at 10:15, had to waite until Gene got back to his room about 10:45 then we went up to his room & visited awhile with him & his room mate.  They just moved into big new dormitory & hes on 2nd floor.  When gene went to eat early for & ready for game we went & had root beer float & drove around until time for game.  It really poured on us for about 10 min got soaked.  They played Dixie & got beat 16 to 8 Gene really played a good game.  They were ahead 8 points until they got in fight & one of Ricks best players got Kicked out.  Gene was captain.  We waited for Gene after the game & I crocheted then we took Gene & went down town & had supper then we took him up to dorm so he could go to dance & we went & got us a nice room at Rex Motel & I started to watch Lawrence Welk & was asleep in 2 min I was so tired.  It wasn't too cold but seemed good to get in our of air, didn't need fire on.

I came home from work, laid off for week, & got ready & Ivard took me up to McDonalds & I got my hair cut.  He went back to Don Boren's to get car greesed & oil change, new oil & air filter & thermostat.  When I got through I started walking over & Lyle & Barbra came along & picked me up.  They let me out at Don's & went on home to watch conference.  Time we got car done, went to Words & got new tire & got groc. & got home they had gone.  Ivard & I ate then he went & got Jackie & tired on car & I washed my hair & some cloths then Ivard went to work at 4: & I took Jackie up to Superior Western & had Andree cut Jackies hair.  Dean came home from school & went & got his cut & I washed his & Jackies & put color shampoo on mine went over to Perrys & got Dale from Primary to get hair cut but he wouldn't go.

Jerry worked 10: to 6: we ate & went up & droped Dean off at school for iniation at 7:30 & Jackie & I bought new shoes then we picked up Ivards 2 new suits, sport coat & 2 pr. Slacks Jerrys 3 new suits, sport jacket & 2 pr slacks, Deans new suit & Dales we'd left to have sleeves & pants lengthened at Alexanders.  Went to Gails & borrowed 2 sleeping bags.  Came home & I packed all our suit cases & Jerry went after Dean.  I went to bed at 11:, I was dead

I came home from work & ate & read paper & watched start of world series in color then went to bed at 10:30 Ivard watched ball game then went out to farm to see about getting ready for man to cut silage.

I got up at 1:30 & Jerry & I went to Caldwell & I put dimes in bank & Jerry got a laway out at 2. then went up & put in application to work at Simplots, stoped & had hamberger at Kwick curb. got home at 4:30 & Jerry got ready & I took him up to catch bus at 5:30 for school in Boise & Dean & I stoped at D.q. & had drink & got milk then went to Forsgrins & got Jackie, she went there from school.

Jerry & I passed Ivard on way to Caldwell & stoped & gave him some money & he got hair cut & went to work at 4:

We ate & I took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens for PIano lesson, got my recomend signed & got a 10. Tupper ware order.

Went to bed at 8:30 until time to go to work.

I came home from work & ate & read paper & went to bed at 9:30 with Ivard, he got home at 5:30 A.M.

Ivard woke me up at 3:30 & we were supposed to be to dancing at 3:30, other class was late as usual so we were OK.  We went & had drink at D.q. after.

Came home & cooked supper & we ate at 6:30 when Jerry got home.  He worked 12: to 6:15 today

I came home from work & went to bed at 9:30 woke up again at 1:30 & got up & we went up to Dairy q. & had lunch & Ivard went to work at 2:30 on Wilder Local, his day off & they called him breaking. he cut lawn this morning.  Lyle, Barbra, & Kids stoped at D.q. & gave me my birthday present lareches Avon set of Cream sacket lotion, powder, skin cream.  I told them I had to go to bank so they were going to Gails & Come later but they never did.  Ivard went on to work & I went & Paid place & got groc.  Came home & worked on my puzzle Contest until 9:30.  Dean fixed supper.

Jerry worked 12: to 6:

I picked Jackie up at school & we stoped in at D.q & had drink.

I rode up with Ivard to take Sis to school & get his check before I went to bed

Dale went to Butters after school until dark.  Jerry went to M-Men.  I went to work at 11: Ray called & said he'd lost job & for my birthday

I was 48 today.

Ivards day off.  Jerry worked 5 to 12:

I read paper in bed then worked on my contest puzzle until church time.

Jerry had to go take Kids to deliver fast offerings then he came & took Ivard & Dean to Priesthood.  Ivard came & got me & Kids for sunday school & fast meeting.  We came home & Jerry went to store, & fixed my birthday dinner.  Dean made a lemon cake this morning & frosted it while Jerry fixed dinner.  Dale bought icecream.

They gave me a new Westinghouse fry pan with broiler lid, new roast Keeper (Tupper ware), Tefflon cookie sheet Jerry, vase of artificial sweet peas, plastic cloths basket, & big Almond candy bar from Dean, Dale & Jackie

Gail & Lynda & Kids came & had desert & watched colored T.V. & we played Penochle They went home at 7: & I went to bed until time to go to work.  Kay called at 10:30 to wish me happy birthday.

Saturday, September 28, 1963

I got up & washed some cloths, changed bunk beds.

I spent most of day working on my Puzzle contest.

Dean scrubbed & waxed & cleaned house good and moved all the furniture around.

Ivard watched ball games all day.  he went to work 11: to 6: at D.q. at 4: Jerry worked at D.q. 11: to 6:

About 6: the floral Co. delivered a beautiful red carnation Planter for my birthday from Edith Looslie Gail came & got Dean to tend Kids & I had to fix supper.  We ate & Jerry took Dale up to D.q. to clean his yard & shopping while I had a shower & got ready & Jerry & I went up to Pix to show "Gathering of Eagles" left Dale & Jackie home alone stoped at D.q & had drink.  Ivard was home when we got home at 11:30 watching T.V.  I went right to bed- My nite off.

I came home from work & wanted Ivard to go get some peaches to do & he hummed & hawed around & was onery so I got mad & went to bed & never woke up until 3: Jerry was to work.  Ivard had just sat all day watching T.V. he went to work at 4:

Jerry had to work all afternoon & nite.

We ate & Dean went up to high School to Centrals foot ball game & Jackie & I took Dale up to Gails to stay all nite & work for him tomorrow.  We came home & stoped at D.q & had drink then came home & went to bed.

sent my dress back to Mother, I got today, to be finished

I came home & ate & read paper & went to bed, 9:30.

Jerry went to Tupper ware meeting all morning with Mrs Howard, hes going to take over Rays job.  This afternoon he went & got measured for his new suits

I woke up at 11:30 & got up & tried on my new house dress mother made to see how the pattern fit.  It was a little long waisted so I pinned it & got it ready & rode up with Ivard to mail it.  We got our State Income Tax back so we went & paid off Dr. Lees account at credit Bureau.  Picked up Sis.

Ivard had 2 big Kettles of tomatoes cooked so I run them through & bottled 15 qts juice after he left for work at 4: he droped Sis off at Primary on way.  Lyle was here for hr.

Jerry came home & made a meat loaf & I finished supper while he went & got Kids from Primary.  I took him up to work at 6: to close.  Dale also went up & cleaned his yard at D.q.

I went to bed until time to go to work.

got letter from Mother- Kay & Ray

Jerry started nite school at B.J.C.

I came home from work & ate & read paper & just got in bed when mail came so had to read it.  It was 10:30 when I went to sleep. & I got up at 3:30.

Ivard picked 1½ bu. tomatoes, fixed stove, Kids blew fuse in it last nite, & went up town on business.

Washed 2 bedspreads & 2 other batches cloths, Jerry.

Jerry went up town too he didn't half to work today.

Ivard went to work at 4:

We ate when Kids came from school & went up town & took Dales suit to have pants & coat lengthened & bought Dean a new suit.

Jerry bought him that 2 suit, sports coat & 2 pr slacks for $166.  & he got a sweater.  We droped Jerry off at bus to go to Boise to start nite school at B.J.C.  came home & Dean practiced ½ hr & we went to Hurrens for Piano lessons I wrote Kay a 10 page letter while I waited came home & Jackie & I went to bed at 8:

Tuesday, September 24, 1963

cooler in nite but warm & nice today

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed at 9: & at 10: Jerry called from Dairy q. & woke me up so I could go to relief society opening social, Brunch & work meeting at 10:30.

I stayed until 2: then stoped at D.q. & had drink to Keep me awake.  I came home & got Jackies dance things & Ivard was home getting ready for work, he was gone when I got home this morning, out working on tractor getting it ready to sell.

Ivards glasses were broke so when I got Sis at 3: at school we took them over & had them fixed & were comeing home to change Jackies things & ran out of gas up on 12th by real estate place.  I called Ivard & he came & pushed me to gas station.  Came home & Sis changed & we went to dance class at 3:30. stoped at D>q. after for drink at 5:10.  Came home & I went to bed at 6:15.

Dale made cookies & practiced & Dean fixed supper & him & Jerry went to mutual.
