Lyle came.

Cloudy_ rainy & cold breeze

When I woke up Ivard and Gene were up & gone to work.  Ivard came home about 9: for breakfast & brought his check then went back over to farm.  Gene came home for lunch.

Jerry took Ray up to D.q. to work early 8: to 6:, then he came home & went up town all morning with Rodney Hennis

I read paper, washed a batch of cloths, work on my books and cleaned off my dresser.  Sent in my puzzle to Northwest Memorial hospital puzzel contest & sent them $20. donation.

Ivard came home about 4: & we went to bank & paid place & bills & got groc. came home & took Jerry to work without his supper, he had potatoes & veg. fixed & we made gravy & we ate at 6:15 just as Lyle came.  they left Kids & went to Boise after paint & stuff for their new house at Roswell.

I rode over to farm with Ivard to change water & sat & talked to Mrs, while they did it for 2 hrs, had root beer at reed & Bell on way home.  Lyle came about 9:30 & we watched T.V awhile & they went home.  Gene & Ray took all the Kids up to D.q.

Thursday, May 30, 1963

Dale cut hand

Sunny_ cool breeze this evening & cloudy.

I was so tired I never got up until 11:30.  Gene went to work early & came home for lunch.  Ivard was over to farm all day watering.  He called at 10: & Jerry took him some gas then at 2: I cleaned up & Jackie & I took him his dinner.

I washed 3 batches of cloths & crocheted.

Ray went to work at D.q. 9:30 to 6: & Jerry went 6: to Close

Kids were cleaning up yard out behind fireplace to put their swimming pool & Dale cut the palm of his hand below thumb pretty bad.  Took him to hospital & had it sewed up, 5 titches, & had T. shot. Jerry went & after we went to D.q & had drink.

I took Jerry to work at 6: & went on out to farm & got Ivard.

We ate out on lawn & Ivard cooked hambergers on barbacue, got Kind of Cold.  Watched T.V. till 10:30 & we all went to bed.  Gene & Ray went up to D.q awhile first.

Wednesday, May 29, 1963

Took mother to Idaho Falls

We got up at 2:30 A.M. & at 3: A.M. Gene & I and Jackie took Mother & Marline up to Idaho Falls.  We stoped at Arco & had breakfast & got gas & got up to Minnies (Batt) at 10: AM.  she fixed lunch then Gene went on to Rexburg to see coach but he wasn't there, he came back about 5: & finally talked to him on phone before we left.

Minnie & I did dishes while mother had nap then we drove up to Cemetary.  We had supper & at 8: we left for home and it poured on us most all the way from Idaho Falls to Boise, some places it was regular cloud burst & lightening something awful.  We got home at 2: A.M. & Ivard was already home from Twin Falls for his days off.  The old clunk give out on him & had to borrow a car.

Ray worked at D.q. all day & Jerry tonite.  Dean & Dale went to school for hr. & got report cards, got premoted.

Tuesday, May 28, 1963

Ray graduated from High School

Jackie danced at closeing social at relief Society.

Sunny & hot

I got up & got Gene off to work & at 8: Ray took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens for Piano lesson & left them then came back & took Mother & I up to "Peacocks" for 9: appointment then he went back & got Kids & picked us up at 10:30.  We had Shampoo & set.  Ray went & Picked Jackie up a hula costume.  Jerry worked at D.q. 9:30 to 6:

We came home & practiced Jackie & at 11: Ray took Mother & I & Jackie up to Church to relief Society closeing Social.  It was a luau.  It was all decorated up like Hawii & had a good lunch & program.  Jackie did the "Huckelou" alone & did it real good.  We came home & fixed a picnic for supper & we all went up to Park.  came home & put Jackie to bed, she was burning up, flu I guess, coughs a lot.  at 7:30 Mother & I & Gene went to Rays graduation, there were 372 graduated.  Lyle or Gail or Jerry didn't come.  Jerry went to M_Men, G.

We gave him a suit case & 2 white shirts.

We came home at 10:15 & Ray went to Party & we went to bed.

Monday, May 27, 1963

Sunny_breeze_not too hot.

I got up & got Gene off to work & at 9:30 I had car up to Dobbs to have brakes adjusted & they run into troubles & had to put new shoes in one back wheel & repack the one front one Jerry went, with me and went uptown on business.  At 11:45 we got car & went over to Caldwell & Jerry got stuff for M-Men Gleaner week then we went to Simplots & got my $52.  Vacation check.  Came back to Don Borens.  & got a greese job & oil change & run into more troubles, had to get a new fan belt & water pump, cost me $28; Dobbs didn't charge me because they'd just relined brakes not long ago.  I got groc & came home & fixed supper

Ray worked at D.q. 9:30 to 6: & Jerry 6: to close.  I stoped in on way home at 4: & got milk & had a drink.

Mother tended Kids all day & fixed my dress.

Washed some cloths & crocheted.

We watched T.V

Jerry_Gene & Dean went to Priesthood sunday school & testimony meeting in Pick-up.

Ray went to work at D.q. 11: to 5:

I cooked a meat loaf and made Jello salad & had shower & got ready & Mother & I, Dale, Jackie & Marlin went & got a girl friend of Jerrys (she called) & we went to Sunday school & Fast meeting.  Came home at 2:15 & fixed dinner and ate about 3: & we all laid around.  Jerry went away for awhile. 

Dean tended Kids & at 7:30 Jerry_Gene Mother & I went with Ray up to High School to his baccalaret exercises.  After we went up came home to see if Kids were allright then we went up to D.q. & Jerry & Ray treated us to hamberger & fries, drink and sundee.  They had to work a hr they were so busy so we just waited.

I got up & got Gene off to work and washed 4 batches of cloths.  Ivard planted the tomato plants Lyle brought over.

Dean cleaned up house.

Ray took mother to store & she got stuff & we had a picnic lunch.

Ivard left for Twin Falls at noon he drove the clunk, has to stay at Boarding house now.

I crocheted all afternoon.

Jerry worked at D.q. 9:30 to 6: and Ray 6: to 10: I took Ray up & brought Jerry home.  Jerry had to go up at midnite & close up.

We had supper at :30 & Gene bathed & I washed his hair & he went over to Nysssa for Date (Jean Winn) got home about 1:30.

We watched T.V. until it went off air

Ray came home at 10: & went over to Stake dance.

Friday, May 24, 1963

Lyle - Gail & Familes were here to see mother.

Ivard went with Gene to work and brought our tractor home.

Ray went to work at D.q. 9:30 to 6:

I washed some cloths & Ivard planted some garden.

Mother made donuts all day.

I addressed envelopes all afternoon for Jerrys M-Men-Gleaner week.

Joe Metcalf brought Lyle, Stanley & Terry over awhile, they got here yesterday from Calif.  moved up by Joe, got out of air force.  They left Stanley & Terry here to play & took Ivard to Boise all afternoon with them.

I got supper & we ate 5:30 when Ivard got home.

Lynda called & said they'd be over.

Jerry went to work 6: to close.

Lyle and Gaile came tonite & visited mother.

Ivard showed our movies.  We had some donuts.  They all went home about midnite & we went to bed.

Lyle moved to Idaho, got out of air force

Sunny_cloudy_rained awhile tonite.

got Gene off to work & read paper.  Fixed breakfast & got Kids off to school.

I took Jerry to work at 9:25, he was supposed to open up but Mr. Johnson was back when he got there.  I came home & went right back up with Ray & he took his suit so he could go to Senior lunchen, got off couple of hrs.

Ivard put a new fuel pump on pick-up for Gene, after he took other one back & got a new one.  He planted some garden for us.

I crocheted.  I put a roast on & Dean finished getting supper, Mother helped him.

I got ready & took Jackie & Marlin to Primary & sat & waited for them & crocheted.  Came home and we ate & Ivard & I took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens to music lesson & we played Scrabble while we waited.

Jerry went away awhile.

I got up & got Gene off & Kids

Ray went to Silver Creek Swimming Sunday school party, they didn't have to go to school today, Seniors.  I read paper & washed a batch of cloths then iorned all morning & mother crocheted an edge on my scarf I made.

Gene came home at 1: for his dinner so I stoped & fixed it & we ate & he went back to work & we watched 2 shows then mother had nap & I worked on books then I iorned for another hr.

Jerry worked at D.q. 9:30 to 6: I took him up.

I fixed supper & we ate when Jerry got home then he went to meeting.

Ray got home about 7:

We watched T.V.

Ivard got home from Twin Falls about 12:30 for his days off.

Jackies Dance recital.

I got Gene off to work & Kids to school and got ready & mother & I & Jackie & Marline went to relief society at 10: After we walked up town & left car at church.  We got car & got groc. & came home at 1: & put them away then we went up to D.q. & had our lunch then Jerry gave us a sundee for Desert.  Jerry worked 9:30 to 6:

Today was Senior Picnic at Park.

We came home from D.q. & had a nap all of us for 1½ hrs.

Ray came home at 4: & went shopping until 6: got 3 new shirts, pants & shoes.  He brought Jerry home & I had supper ready & we ate then Ray took Jerry over to Stake House to M_Men & Gleaners while we got ready then mother & I, Ray Dean, Dale, Jackie & Marline & Wayne Garner went up to Central to Jackies dance recital.  It was real good and she did real good.  We got home at 10:15 and went to bed.

Mother came for Visit

I got up at 6: & got Genes lunch ready & got him off to work and read paper.  Kids went to school.

I changed all 5 beds & washed everything up_pads, bedspreads.  I washed 9 batches.

I made jello & fixed a meat loaf ready for oven and cleaned up house & Jerry helped me make all the beds then at 3:30 he went to work for Ray but Ray called depot & bus wouldn't be in until 5:40 so he went up & worked & Jerry came home awhile.  I got ready & at 5:30 I took Jerry to work and got Ray & he & I and Jackie & Dale went to Caldwell and met the bus.  It got here at 5:55.  Mother & Marline came for Visit and Jackies dance recital & Rays graduation.

Dean had meat loaf cooked & I made salad & we ate & Dean did dishes & Ray took him up to Mutual then came home & went to school dance.

We watched T.V. went to bed early.  Jerry worked until close.

Sunny - breezy - warm

Gene got up & went to Owyhee to Church I read paper in bed.

Jerry _ Ray & Dean went to priesthood & sunday school, Ray came home & took Dean & Dale.

I washed a couple of batches of cloths and cleaned up house & cleaned toilet and worked on cross word puzzle.

When Kids came home I fixed lunch and Jerry went to work at D.q. 2: to 10:, Ray took him up.

Ray had nap while Dean did dishes then he defrosted & cleaned icebox.

Jackie & I had a nap.

Dean practiced piano for over a hour.

Ray went to work at D.q. 5: till close.  I took him.

Dean went to church early, with Perrys, to practice.

 I had a shower & Jackie had a bath & her & I & Dale went to church.  It was Arronic priesthood restoration program, it was good.  Dean sang in it.

after church we stoped at D.q. & had a drink.

Saturday, May 18, 1963

had card from Mother, she'll be here Monday on bus.

Sunny & hot

I got up at 5: & made Genes lunch & woke Kids up to go do Church beets but Rays hands were all blistered Dean got up & did up yesterdays dishes

Gene went to work at 6:30 & Ivard went out & finished working corn ground & planted all but 20 rows and ran out of corn.

at 8: Jerry took Ray & Dean up to Church & they went to Idaho City all day on Priesthood party.  Jerry bought a bunch of flower plants & came home & him & Dale planted them.

Jackie & I had to be up to Central at 9: to dance recital rehersal.  We got home at 2:30 & got Dale & went up to d.Q. & had drink & went & got groc. came home & I cleaned up - washed cloths & cooked supper.

Jerry left at noon for M-Men_Gleaner meeting & went on to work at D.q. 5: to close.  Dale went up to Rodoe ground to Scout Circus

Ivard got home at 7: & bathed & at 8:15 left for Twin Falls with Bixby.  I went up & got some gas at 7:30 & stoped & had drink & Jerry got me dilly for Kids.  Ray went up & helped & went golfing

Sunny  & nice.

Dale got up at 6: & made cookie, woke me up when I smelled them burning.  I got up & fixed Dale & Ivard a lunch Gene is comeing home today.  Gene went to work at 6:45 & Kids went to school.  Jerry took Ray so he could go up to barbers & get his glasses he left there last nite.

I got books up.

Ivard went to finish getting his corn ground ready.

I finally finished Jackies dance costumes.  Rail Road called & said Ivard was supposed to call Twin Falls by 4: so Jackie, Jerry & I went & had drink then went out to farm & told him & followed him in to see, hes on different job but still there.  Jackie went back to farm with him.  We got groc. & came home & ate.  Ray bought flower plants & planted a bed along wall on front lawn.

Jerry 5:30 & Ray 6: went to work 6: to close

I got up at 6: & made Genes lunch & he went to work at 6:45.  I read paper & got Kids off to school.  I sewed on Jackies costumes & washed 2 batches of cloths then got ready & went up to "Peacocks" & had a color shampoo & set.  Went at 9:45, got home at 1:, after I went to bank & paid some bills & stoped at D.q. & had drink.

Ivard went out to plow his corn ground all day.

Jerry went up at 1:30 & got his check from D.q. & we got a hamberger & drink & took out to farm to Ivard but he wasn't there, he'd broke down & took plow in to be fixed & we passed him on way & didn't know it, he came home & ate right after we got home & went back again.

at 3:30 Ray came home & we took Jackie to Primary & went & paid Rays bills & I got groc then I droped Ray off at Barber shop & took dance costume home over by Stake house, picked Kids up at Primary, got Ray & came home & ate took Ray up to work at D.q. at 5:30 then Jackie & I took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens to Piano lesson at 5:45.  Jerry worked at D.q. 6: to close, he walked Ray worked till close too.  Joe came home at 7:15 & Dean did dishes, Dale went fishing & Ivard & I & Jackie went up & got lunch stuff & went to D.q. came home & fed Ivard & Gene & we watched T.V. Ivards nite off.

I got up at 5:30 & read paper & started on Jackies dance costume after I fixed Genes lunch.  Gene left for work at 6:45.

Kids went to school.

at 9:45 I took Jackie up to "Peacocks" & had her hair cut then we came home & Jerry went up & got us a hamberger & drink for lunch.

I sewed on Jackies dance costumes all day.

Jerry had to go to work at D.q. 3:30 to 1: AM so I took him up & Jackie & I went & got groc then stoped at D.q. & got milk & had drink.

Dean & I fixed supper & we ate at 5:30 when Ivard got home from Twin Falls for his days off.  He brought Jackie a little 2 wheel like some guy gave him for helping him move.  she is in her glory & rides up & down street.  Dale went fishing & cought a 8 in trout

Ivard & I went up to Pix & saw "To Kill a Mocking bird."  Stoped at D.q & had drink at 11: didn't wait for Jerry.

Ray had letter from Mother, shes coming for 10 days

I got up & got Gene off to work at 6: & read paper & washed a couple batches of cloths.

sewed on Jackies costume until 9: then had a shower & Jackie & I went to relief Society, last literature lesson.  I gave opening prayer.  Jerry worked at D.q. 10 to 6:, today was his day off.

We came home at noon & had lunch & Jackie had a nap & I sewed until 3: then we went up to D.q & had drink & went to last regular dance lesson.  Came home at 5:15 & made salad & fixed veg., Dean had potatoes bakeing, then I went up to D. q. & got Jerry at 6: & we went up to Kenwood school & I voted for Jack Madison for school board.  Came home & ate & at 7:15 Jackie & I took Jerry to Stake House to M_Men Gleaners & we went to one of Jackies dance class's mothers & she gave me some patterns & showed me how to fix her other costume.  Jackie played awhile then we went to D.q. & had drink got home at 9:30 & went to bed.  Ray had to go work at D.q. 7:30 to 10:, so busy.  then he came home & moved furn. & cleaned his room for when mother comes Tuesd. finished Jackies leaf costume & hat.

Jerry worked at D.q. 9:30 to 6:

I washed 3 batches of cloths & spent all morning calling all over town about parts for pick-up for Gene.  Then I went up town to see about them to two or 3 places then this afternoon Ray Jackie & I went out to Wallys & followed them out to sage brush where Gene was working to see him about which he wanted then we came back to town & droped Jackie off at bus stop with Dean & he took her home & started supper & Ray & I went to D.q. & had drink then up to Wards & ordered Gene's parts & got some stuff for his lunch picked Jerry up at 6: & came home & ate.  Gene came just as we finished, early for him.

No Mutual but Dean went to Chorus practice up to church with Perry's.

Ray worked at D.q. tonite.

Watched T.V., went to bed early

Sunny_ breezy & cooler.

Ray went to work at D.q. 11: to 5: Gene took him up then watched ball game & mowed ditch banks

Jerry & Dean went to Priesthood & Jerry came & took Dale, Jackie & I to Mother day programe, came home at 1:30 & Jerry & Kids went to store & came home with a nice lunch fixing & fixed dinner.  then at 4:30 we had icecream & cake.

Dean & Jackie gave me a white perse & Dale gave me a nice bread board he made in cub Scouts.  I got a orange corsage at church (artificial) Gene didn't give me anything, hasn't cashed his check.

I worked on puzzle & got my books up & washed a batch of cloths.

I started a letter to Lyle & finished it after church.

I took Jerry to work at 5: & brought Ray home.

Dean went t ochoire practice at 6:30 with Perry's.

Gene & Ray stayed home & watched T.V. & Dale Jackie & I went to church.

Saturday, May 11, 1963

Sent mother card & $10 for mothers day

hard cold wind, sunny & cloudy.

got Gene off to work & washed my bedding.  Dean did work this morning

I sewed on Jackies costumes most of day.

Ray worked at D.q. 9:30 to 6:  Jerry was supposed to work tonite but got some one to take his place & he went to dance festival at H.S. 5 L.D.S Stakes.

Ivard watched ball game all day can't even talk.

Gail, Lynda & Kids came for awhile said Lyle was getting out of air force in couple of weeks & is moving to Idaho.  After they left Ivard_ Dean & Dale went & got hair cut & we ate supper.

The florest delivered a big azelia plant this morning from Jerry & this afternoon a pink & white carnation coursage from Ray.  I got a box of Lilac soap from Kay & Claudia.  Gail wished me happy Mothers day, but didn't get anything.  I didn't hear from Lyle.  Ivard left me a card on T.V. to his wife with out signing it.  We had a fight over money again before he left for work at Twinn F at 8: Jerry _ Gene _ Ray & Dean went up to festival I was going but didn't want to go alone.  Went to bed early & bawled.

I got up & got Gene off to work & Kids to school.

I washed 3 batches of cloths, one socks, took me all morning.

Jerry went up to pay 2 months light bill before they shut them off & was gone 2 or 3 hrs.

Ivard went across street & dug a ditch for Mrs. Lenz.  Jackie went up to Rhodes to play

I sewed on Jackies dance costumes all afternoon.

Jerry fixed supper & we ate & Jerry & Ray went to work at D.q. 6: to close

Dean did dishes then he & I went up town & got some mother day cards & some more stuff for Jackies costume, and Dean changed his music lesson book.  We stoped at D.q. & had 2 drinks & went through all the quarters & half dollars in both tills, got me 4 quarters for my collection.  came home & brought Ivard & Dale a drink.  Jackie was in bed for running away.  Gene was home already.  They watched T.V. & I went right to bed with Sis, it was 9:15.  Ivards nite off.

I got up & fixed Genes lunch & got Kids off to school & went back to bed until 10:45.  I feel awful.  I got up & washed a batch of cloths & got ready & Jerry Jackie & I went to Caldwell & got my Ins. check for Rays foot from Simplot then we went to 2:D.'S sale & got Ray a suit case & 2 shirts for graduation & I laid me a suit case away & $34. worth of shirts for school this fall Jerry laid him away a sport coat, couple pr. slacks & some shirts.  We just got back to Nampa in time for me to sign up for unemployment at 2:15 then we went to D.q. for lunch & came home & got Jackie ready & Jerry droped us off at Primary for Mothers Day party.  I got a plant.  We came home at 5:15 & hurried & got ready & Jerry & Ray took Kids out to Hurren's for piano lesson then at 7: they came home & Jerry went to Givens on swimming Party with M-Men & Gleaners Ray went to work at D.q. & Dale went to concert with Garners.  Jackie & I went with Ivard to take plow out to his farm then out to Wally's to take trailer home.  then we came home & got Dean & the 4 of us went to Nampa Drive Inn & saw 2 shows "white Stallions" was one.  got home at 12:30.  Ivards nite off.

black & dreary all afternoon, sunny in AM

I got up & got Gene off to work & Kids to school.  I just sat most of day, watching T.V. it hurt to move around.  Jerry spent all day running around here & there, getting haircut ect.  He cooked supper.

Ray went streight to work at D.q. after school till 6: then from 8: to close.

I took Dean to Cub Scouts after school & went & got him & Dale at 5:15.  Ivard got home from Twin Falls just as I was leaving for his days off.

Jerry cooked supper & we ate & I took him to work at 6: & I brought Ray home.

Gene got home after dark & cleaned up & ate.

We watched T.V. & Ivard & I played 3 games of Scrabble.

I went to bed at 10:50 & Ivard came in little while.  Jerry & Ray got home at 11:45.

I got Gene off to work & Kids to school & read paper then went back to bed until 10:45 & slept.  Jackie woke me up.  I got up & got ready & went to relief Society work day. embroideried awhile then we had a real good dinner then I made me a cloths brush out of plastic foam material, cost me 50¢.  I got home at 3: & got Jackie & we went to dance practice we got home at 5: & Jerry had supper ready & we ate.

At 6: I took Jerry to work & Ray went too & got him some stuff at drug store & spent all evening makeing a poster for school.  I took Dean & Dale up to church at 7:15 for Cub Scout Pack Meeting, they found a way home.  We watched T.V. Ray went up to bowling alley awhile about 10: & I went to bed, I don't feel good.

Cloudy.

got up & fixed Genes lunch & he went to work & Kids went to school.

Jerry went job hunting until 1:

I changed all the Kids beds and washed 6 batches of cloths and hung out.

Jackie & I had lunch and I worked on my books and she practiced.

At 2: I took Jackie up to our church to dance practice in the bid hall.  We got home at 4: & Jerry had supper ready & we ate when Kids got home

I got cloths in & Jerry & Dean made beds then Ray & I took Jerry up to D.q to work 5: to close.

Ray washed & wiped dishes and mowed lawn.

Dale burned garbage & played with neighbor Kids.  Dean practiced piano.

At 7:10 I took Ray & Dean up to Mutual & I went to "Pix" & saw "Diamond Head," it was good.  I got out & went up to D.q. about 10:15 & had a drink & sat & waited to take Jerry home at 11:45.

Sunday, May 5, 1963

cloudy most of day.

Gene got us up at 6: A.M. & got ready & went over to Owyhee Ward to church & spent day, got home at 10:45.  I didn't even hear him leave.

Jerry & Ray & Dean went to Priesthood & I had shower & read paper.

Dean went early with Bishop to Pass collect fast offerings.

Ray came home at 11:30 & got me Dale & Jackie & we went to sunday school & Fast meeting.  Ray left at 1:30 & walked home & went to work at D.q. 2: to 10:.  Jerry didn't have to work today.

We came home at 2:30 & I made Barbacue & we ate & Jerry went to Park on Picnic with a load of Kids, got home at 10:45.

Dean, Dale, Jackie & I went to church at 7: to Primary programe.  Dale & Jackie were in it.  We got home at 8:45 & had a dish of sherbet & Kids went to bed.  I watched T.V. & at 10: went up & got Ray & he bought me a drink & 1/2 gal. milk for breakfast.  Came home & went to bed.

Saturday, May 4, 1963

I got up & fixed Genes lunch & got him off to work & read paper.  I wwashed clothes.

I helped Dean move everything around & scrubb & waxe front room & Kitchen.  We changed furniture all around.  Jerry cleaned his bed room.

I went down to Kotters but she wasn't home, went again tonite but she still wasn't.

Ray went to work 9:30 to 6: at D.q.

Jerry went to store & got stuff & fixed lunch for us.

We ate supper & Jerry went to work at D.q 6: to 10:

Gene came home & bathed & him & Ray watched T.V.

Jackie & I went up to D.q. after we went to Kotters at 9: and got a super sunday for Gene, Ray, Dale & Dean & us.

Dean went to Priesthood meeting at central with Bishop

Ivard left for Twin Falls with a guy at 9:

Friday, May 3, 1963

sent mother 12 page letter

black & stormy - rained most of day & in the night.

Dale woke me up at 7:20 A.M. to help him get ready for Party at school today

I made Genes lunch & he went to work in Rain & worked all day.

I was sick all nite & today didn't do much.  Ivard & played Scrabble.  Jerry went to Dr. to see about all his warts & bought a bunch of bread, cakes & sherbert, on sale, to put in freezer then he went up to D.q & brought us 2 pizzas, a drink & a super strawberry sunday for our lunch.

At 3: Ivard went to Dr. for his annual Rail Road physical.  OK

We had waffles for supper.

Ray & Jerry went up town after school. 

Some Sargent came to see Ray about joining national guard.

I wrote 12 page letter to mother & mailed it at 8:30 when Ivard & I took Dean up to Central for Spring dance.  I washed his hair.  We stayed at D.q. for drink on way home.  Ivards nite off.

Jerry & Ray worked 6: to close, I took them up.

Thursday, May 2, 1963

Dean made cookies tonite for Dale to take to party tomorrow.

stormy_ rained during nite & on & off all day.  Gene still worked all day.  I got up & made his lunch & read paper.  Kids went to school.

Jerry went up town on business

I cut out Jackies 2 dance costumes and watched T.V.

At 2: Ivard took me up to sign up for unemployment then we went & paid place, Hales, & Wards.  got some groceries & came home.  Ivard & I played scrabble & Jerry & Jackie went & met Ray after school & took him his federal Income tax & they took Jackie to Primary & Ray went & paid for his new suit.

Jerry made Jello & had a roast ham in & escolloped potatoes & I made lettuce & tomatoe salad & we ate when Kids got home from Primary then Ivard & Jackie did dishes & Ray took Dean & Dale out to Hurrens for their Piano lesson.

Jerry went to work at 6: to close.  I got books up.  Ray went up to work at 8: but they didn't need him so he came home & brought us a treat.  Ivards nite off.  Gene got home at 8:

Pre-school clinic

Sunny in morning _ cloudy & cold tonite.

I got up & read paper & fixed Dean & Gene a lunch & Gene went to work & Kids went to school.

I started on diet.  I weight 255 275 lbs.

Jerry went up to town D.q & brought Jackie & I hamberger & drink for lunch after we got home from Pre-school clinic.   We went up to our church at 9: & Jackie had physical & eye test then we went to Dales school & had tieth examined.  Shes OK all but tieth.  after, we went up town & bought the material for Jackies 2 dance costumes. got home at 1:. I washed some cloths.

Jerry went up town & got groc. & I cooked supper & we ate at 5:

Ivard got home from Twin Falls about 5:30

Jerry & Ray went to work at 6: at D.q., Jerry worked till close & Ray got home at 8:30.  Gene got here about 8: & ate.

Went to bed early.  Ivards nite off.  I got leaves cut out for dance costume.
