Jerry took Ray to work at Melba 11: to close then Ivard went up town & bought 2 new tires for dodge

I woke up at 4: & read paper & got up. Ivard & Jackie went to store for me

Jerry got supper & we ate at 5:

Ivard & I played game Scrabble & watched T.V.

Ivards nite off.

Jerry did up dishes. I went to bed at 8: but never did get to sleep

lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks

Dean has flu.

hot. I came home from work & went right to bed. Ivard was already home in bed. Dean has flue, in bed all day

Ray took day off & had Jerry work for him 11: to close Ray took him out. I got up at noon & figured out check, pay day, & we went to bank & pd. bills. gave Ray $300. to send for first quarter room & board at B.Y.U. at 2: Ray took us to "Smiles" & bought our dinner, first I've eaten since Mon., had shrimp boat. We got groc. & they droped me off at Dr. & Ivard brought groc. home & Ray & Jackie then came back & got me at 5: & we went & got my pills & few more groc. came home & Ray went to show & rest of us went to bed early. I went to work at 11: & Ivard at 11:15.

We stoped at unemployment office on way home from work & I signed for my waiting week. Came home &went right to bed, 9: phone rang 20 times regular nightmare Ivard was home & in bed.

Jerry took Ray to work at Melba 11:30 to close & Dean to D.q at noon & went for Job Intervied at new Bosko, they called him. Jerry took Jackie to Dr. Lee at 8:15 & had 2 teeth filled, they didn't have time to check Dean

We got up at 4: & Ivard mowed & watered & I washed 3 batches cloths. Ivard went & got lemon J. Jerry fixed supper & they ate at 5:30. Dale went collecting then to Hoggs, came home at 5:45. went collecting again. We went to to Credit Union at 7: & got our $400. loan & picked Dean up at 8:30. I checked his money. went to work

hot. I came home from work & went right to bed, got woke up half dz. times. Ivard was already home in bed. I got up at 3:30 & made gravy, Jerry had supper cooked. I didn't eat.

Jerry took Dean to piano lesson Dale didn't go, didn't practice. then they took Ray to Melba 11:30 to close & took Dean to D.q. to work on truck

we got out picture box & went through & wrote names on them. Jerry & Dale went & got Dean at 7: & went to Garners about genelogy came home at 8:30 Ivard went to bed at 7:30. I did Deans money & went at 9:30 didn't sleep.

I went to work at 11:10 & Ivard at 11:20.

Tuesday, July 27, 1965

I started 3 day no calorie diet

hot & sunny. I came home from work & went right to bed at 8:45 & woke up at 2:30. I washed a batch of cloths & made me a pot of tea & went on no-calorie liquid diet again today painted on my Xmas door panel all afternoon.

Jerry went job hunting again this morning, isn't any thing.

Ray went to work at 11:15 till close, Jerry took him out to Melba then took Dean to D.Q. Jerry fixed supper & they ate at 5: & I read papers.

Dale went over & mowed Ediths lawn & Nellies & went to Mutual with Hoggs

Ivard & I took Jerry & went & picked Dean up at D.q & took them to Mutual, Jerry went to Boise, from there with Rodney Ivard went to R.R Credit & applied for loan for Ray to go to school. went to Gails a few min. Sis home alone. went to bed until time to go to work

Monday, July 26, 1965

had cloud burst & bad wind storm neither one lasted too long. Came home from work & went to bed at 9: & they woke me up at 2:45 to eat.

Ray went to work at Melba 11: to close & Dean went on D.Q. truck little while, until it rained. Jerry, Jackie, Dale & I went over to Johnsons at 4: & looked at tri-chem display.

Jerry went looking for Job this morning.

Ivard watered, cut lawn

Dean called us at Johnsons & we went & got him at D.q. Jerry fixed supper & we ate. I painted on my Xmas door panel awhile

Jerry & Dean went over to Garners & saw about genelogy, shes our third cousin. Ivard & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Ivards nite off.

Jerry - Ivard - Ray - Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & S.S. Ivard came home & took Jackie to S.S. I read paper in bed & got up at 9:30 & ate & sorted cloths, washed 5 batches, Kids dirty cloths from Scout Camp. I painted on my Xmas door panel & had dinner ready when they got home. Ate & Dean did dishes & Ray went up to SMiles & helped Gail move some things. Jerry & Dean worked on genelogy Dale, Me & Ivard had nap.

Weavers came & got Ray at 4: to work in Melba. Dean, Jackie & I took our painted things to Johnsons & put up for open house tomorrow for Tri-Chem.

I had a bath & we all went to church, Ramon Yorgensens home comeing. laid down hr. & went to work at 11:

Jerry & Dale got home from Scout Camp

Dean got up early & scrubbed & waxed & vacumed the house good. got up & Ivard took Jackie to Dr. & had her third shots then they went up to Gails & Ivard went with Gail to Rail R. to apply for loan at Credit Union. Came home at 10:45 & I dashed Ray to Melba to work at Smilies 11: to close. Came home & Ivard & Jackie took Dean to work the D.q truck & they went & helped Gail move, over on north side, until 4: I painted all afternoon apron, & made jello & baked beans to take to Kurtz Park at 6: to Ward pioneer day celebration went & got Dean at D.Q & went to Park & some one said Scouts were home so Dean went home & got Jerry & Dale. We at at 6:45 & had programe & games. Came home at 9:30 & went to bed. My & Ivards nite off

I came home from work, we got next 2 days off, & got ready & Ivard & all the Kids took me up to unemployment office for our yearly meeting, for hr., and Ray & Dean went & got their checks at Smiles. They went to Gails & took them a big box of groc. I fixed up for them, they sure are in a mess. Sherrif gave them notice to move, they lost car. Jackie stayed all day. They got me at 11:30 & we left Dean to D.Q to take truck out & we took Ray to Melba to work 11:30 to close Came home & Ivard & I went to bed. Went & got Dean & Jackie at 6: & had Parfay Sundee. Came home & ate & Ivard took Dean to Hurrens early to direct traffic & we went later to Jacks wedding reception, my nite off. Ivard went to work at 11:

Sent Gene letter & money

warmer but still cool, sunny 40º last nite. I came home from work & Ivard was home & had put fruit away & was in bed asleep.

I went right to bed but Avon lady came & I had to pay her then Kids were noisy getting ready to go. Ray took Dean out to music lesson then took Jackie to Primary, went & got Dean & he took Ray to Melba to work 11: to close. Gail came & woke me up again. I got up at noon & Ivard took Dean up to take D.q. truck out lady called & said I could have 2 cases of rasp berries so Ivard went & got them & I bottled 14 qts & put 4 bowls in freezer & fixed one for supper & one for Gail. Ivard went & got Genes cashiers check with my check & I wrote a letter & we mailed it when we went after Dean at 6:30 had Parfay Sundee. Came home & ate. went to bed until time to go to work.

I got up & made 13 bottles red rasp berry jam & washed cloths all day did Ray & Dales bedspread & all their bedding & mine and made their eds & mine, Ivard helped me & I cleaned my room & Ivard did hall & other bed rooms.

Ray & Dean went to Melba at 11: & opened Smiles & worked till close, Dean came home at 1: & went back again at 7:. He didn't take D.q. truck out today but went & got him a drivers licence. Ivard & Jackie went up town awhile. I iorned all afternoon & got it all done up.

I had bath & went to bed at 8: but never did go to sleep I went to work at 11: & Ivard went at 11:30

Tuesday, July 20, 1965

bottled 62 qts raspberries & 12 jam

Dean worked in Melba with Ray.

cloudy & cooler, rained some in spots. Dean got up & did Dales paper route & Ivard got home from work at 5:40 A.M. & went to bed after he washed me some bottles & I made 12 bottles blac rasp berry jam & 10 qts black raspberries. Ivard brought another case home from work. Ivard & I took Ray to work at Melba at 11: AM to close & came back & Ivard took Dean Jackie up to take D.q. truck out & he went selling books. I washed & iorned all afternoon. Dean got rained out & came home at 3: lady called & said I could have 5 cases red raspberries, so when Ivard came we went & got them & Dean & Jackie washed bottles. Came home & started on berries & we ate & Dean drove Weavers car to Melba at 7: & worked to close, Weaver's left for Idaho Falls. Ivard went selling books until 10:30 & laid down hr & went to work. I got 52 qts red raspberries & mashed a case ready for jam tomorrow

Dean was 16 today. I woke up at 9:45, dont feel very good. Ivard had got up & takend Dean & Jackie to do Dales paper route & was home & in bed again. I hurried & got ready & Ivard took me to Irene Johnsons to Tri Chem meeting at 1:30 Ray came & got me & I took him to Melba to work until close, he'd already taken Dean up to D.Q.

Ivard & I & Jackie went out to Bill Coons & got 2 cases black rasp berries & I put10 tubs in freezer & bottled 7 qts then we went to store & came home & fixed Dean a birthday supper had his presents & cake yesterday. Ivard went & got him while I got supper on. We ate & Dean typed genelogy & we went to bed. Ivard left for work at 11:15.

Lyle & family came awhile

hot - cloudy Ivard & Jackie took Dean to Do Dales paper route.

Ivard, Ray & Dean went to Priesthood & Ivard came & got Jackie for sunday school. Mrs Weaver fot sick so they came & got Ray at church, after Priesthood & he worked all day.

I baked beans, made jello, baked potatoes & made Dean a birthday cake & had his birthday today so Ray would be home then he was to work anyway.

I had bath & got ready for church & we were just going when Lyle & family came, came down to get Terry & he was up to Silver City with Helen so they had to wait. Dean went to church alone, Ray came home & changed & went with Gary Weaver to church. Lyle left about 9:30 & we went to bed.

Jerry & Dale left for week at "Camp Billy Rice"

hot & cloudy Dale got up & did his paper route & got packed  to go to Scout Camp for week, scrubbed Kitchen first. Ivard came home from work & laid down awhile & watched ball games most of day, watered.

We ate dinner early & Ray took Dean up to take D.q truck out & took Jerry to church, hes going to go to "Camp Billy Rice" for week as leader of our ward group. Terrys came & picked Dale up to go.

Ray went to rodeo tonite with Gary Weaver & went & worked awhile after at "Smilies". Ivard went & got Dean & we ate & I looked through his money. He typed genelogy. I went to bed early don't feel good. Ivards nite off & mine

Friday, July 16, 1965

hot Dale went on paper route & came home & went to bed. Ivard came home from work & went to bed.

I washed some cloths Dean went on D.Q. truck at noon Jerry took him up. I had to be to Dr. at 3: then Kids waited in car for me & Ray & I droped Dale & Jackie off at Dr. Lee's at 4: & we went up town & bought Dale a swim suit then took Ray to work at 5: & went back & got Kids, Dale had tooth filled & Jackie had hers checked & made an appointment went back up town & got Dale some pants & shirts & got Ray & Dean some pants & socks for their birthday. Ivard went to work at 4: I went & got him at 11:30 & we went to "Smilies" & had hamberger delux & root beer float, didn't wait for Ray

Thursday, July 15, 1965

hot. I came home from work, got laid off until next week, Ivard had coe ome & was in bed. I laid down awhile then got up & went to Caldwell with Ray, had to go see Parole officer, & I had Int. drawn up on Kids accounts. Came home & we ate & took Dean to D.q. & went up town and paid place & some of the bills, Jerry went with us. I made out payments & worked on books.

We ate & Ray left for work at Melba at 5:, Jerry took him then went & got Dean. I checked Deans money & went to bed early, I was so tired & don't feel good. Ivard went to work at 11:30.

Jerry & Dean went Home Teaching.

Dale went collecting today.

Wednesday, July 14, 1965

hot came home from work & went to bed & woke up at noon too hot to go back to sleep laid in bed & read paper & my new "Good Housekeeping." Jerry & Ray took Dean to D.q. at noon & Jerry got hair cut & stayed at Gails while Ray went to Caldwell then Ray & Gail went selling book & Gail took Ray to work at Melba at 6: Jerry came home & him & Ivard cooked supper out on barbacue & we ate outside. Dale did dishes & went to Priesthood party at Crofts. Jerry & Jackie went up to meet Dean & go on D.q. truck this evening, to rodeo Parade. Ivard watered mowed lawn & watched T.V I laid down again, I feel awful went to work at 11: Ivard went at 11:30

Ray worked at Smiles after Mutual.

I came home from work & went to bed, Ivard was already home & in bed. I never woke up until 4:30, I feel awful. Jerry had a roast cooked

Ray took Dean to work & was gone rest of day selling books, didn't sell any. Came home at 5:30 & Ivard & I went over to Forsgrens & got Jackie, she'd been over playing all day, they came & got her. we went to D.Q. & waited for Dean, came home & made gravy, Jerry had supper ready & we ate., Tim Hogg was here. Jerry, Ray, Dean Dale & Tim went to Mutual early so Dean. We took Dean from D.q. had to practice organ checked Deans money & went to bed until time to go to work.

Gail came & got Ray & they went selling world books all day. I washed 3 batches of cloths & worked on genelogy most of day & Dean did until time to go to work, Jerry took him & then took Dale out to Hurrens & bought him genelogy book & they both worked on it too.

Ivard cut lawn & watered all day. I helped Jerry fix supper & we ate at 5: Dale was to Hoggs. I washed my, Ivard & Jackies hair. Ivard had bath & got ready to go to world book meeting

Jerry left at 6: to get gas & pick up Dean & go home teaching. I went to bed until time to go to work, Grace came & picked me up, Ivard went to work at 11:30. I had bath before I went to bed.

Got up & had breakfast & Jackie went to Sunday S. with Minnie, & Buds girl. Mother & I worked on genelogy. Minnie came home & fixed dinner & we ate & did little more genelogy, Morley got out some stuff of his Mother & Dads & we found lot of good things.

Ivard, Jackie & I left for home at 4: Ivard drove all the way. We stoped at Bliss & had supper. We got home at 11:30.

My & Ivards nite off Ray was still up watching T.V. rest of them were in bed.

Took Mother to Idaho Falls

hot  I came home from work at 8:30, I have next 2 days off. I got ready & at 10: Ivard & I & Jackie took Mother & Marlin to Idaho Falls to Minnie & Morley Batts for few days before they go back home. We went up & got gas first. We stoped in Arco & had lunch & got to Minnies about 5: We visited & had supper & went over to Bud & Noras (Batt) & saw some movies of pictures Jim sent home from his mission in Argentina, saw John Hale from Nampa in them. Went back to Minnies & went to bed about 10:30.

sure tired, didn't get much sleep on way up.

Jerry took Mother up to Superior Western at 11:30 to get her hair done then took Dean to take out D.q truck he took Ivard & Ray up to World Book meeting this morning & got them at noon & they came home & ate & I got up & Ray & I took Ivard back to meeting at 1: & Ray sat & waited while I went to Dr., lost 9 1/4 lbs then we went up town & got mother & Ray took us to Smiles & bought our lunch. Came home & Jerry fixed supper & I went & got Ivard at 4: & we went & got groc. & picked up meat for Ray to take to Melba & Jerry took him at 5:45 & brought Dean home. Ivard didn't get any sleep today so he laid off so we could go in morning. I went to bed until time to go to work.

hot - got cloudy this evening. I came home from work & went to bed, Ivard was already in bed. Jerry took Jackie & Marlin to Primary & Dean up to D.Q to take truck out then at 1:30 he took Jackie to get hair cut & him, Dale, Jackie, Marlin & Jeff went to Park swimming all afternoon. Ray went selling world books with Gail & went to work at Reed & Bell at 5:

Kids woke me up at noon & I laid until 3: & couldn't sleep so I got up & washed some cloths & Mother made apple Pies & I made tuna loaf & salad & fixed supper & they ate at 6: & at 6:30 Dale went collecting & at 7: Jerry went & got Dean.

Ivard went to world Book meeting at 8: I went to bed until time to go to work.

Jerry - Mother & Ray went to Boise

I came home from work & went right to bed. Ivard was already home & asleep. Dean had to go to Piano lesson at 9:15 8:45 & Dale at 1:30 because Mrs. Hurren was so busy. Jerry, Mother & Ray took Dean to D.Q & went to Boise.

Ivard got up at 1: & bathed & tended Kids & watered. Jackie & Dale were fighting so I made her go to bed with me. Ray didn't work at molding fac. today went to work at Smiles at 5: Jerry & Mother took him at 4:30 & went shopping. Got me new dress.

I got up at 4: & made meat pie with biscuits on for supper & they ate at 6:

Jerry went & got Dean & they went home teaching. I watched the movie & had bath & went to work.

Got letter from Gene, moved back to Lautoka

Lyle was here

99º sure hot  Ivard got bumped to 11:30 Job.

I came home from work & Ivard & Jackie were still in bed I went right to bed & was so tired I went right to sleep. I woke up at 11:, Lyle & family were here. They left at 12:30 & Gail & Kids, we drew names for Xmas, & took Dale & Jackie with them up to Park to picnic with Metcalfs. I had to go to Dr. at 3: so I took Ivard, Jerry & Marlin up to Park to go Swimming with Lyle & Gail & them & I went to Dr. I only lost 1/2 lb in 3 weeks so he put me on liquid diet for next 3 days, diet drinks. I went up to Park at 3:30 & visited with all of them & we came home at 6: & Jerry dashed Ray to work at Smiles. Mother stayed home & finished Jackies head board, she & I went after Dean & I to supper & we I went to bed. Went to work at 11: & Ivard went at 11:30.

Monday, July 5, 1965

Dean danced in dance festival at Boise

sunny & hot

I came home & cooked hot cakes Jerry had made & they ate & Dean did up dishes & at 10:10 Ivard, Jerry, Ray, Dean, Dale, Jackie, Mother & Marlin left for Boise to spend day & evening. Dean had to be to practice for dance festival at 11: to 4: & the dance festival was at 8: & fire-works after. They were going to Parade, Park & Aunt Vene's. Ivard's job didn't work today & Ray & Dean had day off.

I went to bed at 10:30 & slept until 2:30 & got up & ate & spent afternoon changing water & laying down.

I went to work at 11:

Ivard & them got home at midnite.

Sunday, July 4, 1965

Lyle & family came awhile

hot

read paper in bed & got up after Ivard, Jerry, Ray, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & had a bath & got ready & Ivard came home & got Mother & I, Marlin & Jackie & we went to S.S. & Fast meeting. We came home at 1:30 & while I got dinner Jerry took Dale collecting fast offerings. We ate at 3: had hambergers & all the trimmings & baked beans & punch, salad.

At 3:50 Ray took Ivard to work & he had to go to work at "Smilies" at 5: Mother & I had nap & Dean did dishes & they watched Disneyland. I washed a couple batches of cloths & got my books up. Lyle & family came down for 3 days for holidays They came for about 2 hrs & went to fireworks in Caldwell, were going to stay at Metcalfs. I went to bed at 9: till time to go to work, Lillian Smidt came & took me.

Saturday, July 3, 1965

Dale started mowing lawn for Edith

hot, real bad thunder storm this evening & Rained real hard.

I got up at 7: & started iorning & iorned most of day, did 82 pieces I washed cloths in between.

Mother quilted all day on Jackies head board. We ate dinner at 3:, I cooked steaks & at 3:50 Ray & I took Ivard up to R.R. to work & came home after we got few groc. & Ray had bath & I took him over to Weavers to ride to work with her at "Smiles" 5: to close. He didn't work at Molding F. today

Jerry & Dean took D.q. truck out &  I went & got them at 6: & got few more groc.

Jerry went to Melba to wedding reception We watched T.V. Ivard called at 11: & I went after him and we went over to Smiles & waited until Ray got off & came home.

Friday, July 2, 1965

hot

Ray went to work until 1: & they had rest of day off for one of lady's son funeral. Ray didn't get to go because he went to work at "Smiles" at 3:, after he came home from town.

Dean went on D.q truck & we picked him up at 7:45, all of us & took him to Stake House to practice his dance for Boise July 5th. We all went to Gails, while we waited for him, & saw new baby.

Mother quilted all day & I washed cloths & got meals. Dale went collecting for paper route again.

Ivard's day off & we went up town to see about car, haven't all the bids in yet, & got few groc. Ivard drove & was so dizzy he didn't know where to go when we came out of Safeway. Ivards day off & I was home too, Plant down.

Thursday, July 1, 1965

I sent Gene a letter.

Dale came home from Paper route & went back to bed. I fixed Rays lunch & he went to work. Mother was up at 6: quilting.

Dean didn't take truck out today too stormy, did genelogy all day

I made waffles & fixed breakfast. fixed lunch & got supper & washed couple batches of cloths.

Jackie & Marlin went to Primary, Ivard took them & went & sold books, didn't sell any but has a promise for later. Gail & Kids came awhile. Ray went to hospital to see Lynda.

Ivards day off. he mowed lawn & watered all day.

I was home again, no way to go.
