Gene was married to Cheryl Jones
hot. got up at 8:45 & went over to Assembly of God church & got it ready for wedding. Kids didn't want it in chapel so we fixed the small amusment hall. ceiling was peeling but we set up chairs & had an arch of green fern for them to stand by & along one side a long table with white Satin cloth & a 3 tier blue & white wedding cake & Punch bowl & blue napkins. We went over to Jones trailer & ate breakfast lunch & at 2: went to Motel & showered & got ready & went back to church & at 4:15 Gene & Cheryl were married by Elder Morell from Hobbs, 1st Co in that Branch. He had his wife with him & the 2 missionaries came too. took Pictures & Kids left for Hobbs, their car was all decorated up. We cleaned up church & went to Motel awhile & at 7: went over to Jones & ate & at 10: went back to bed
