Got to Tatum & stayed at Winds Motel
hot & windy. got up & showered & left Sara's at 5:45 A.M. stoped at Cuba N.M. at 7:45 & ate breakfast & got gas & was on our way again at 8:30 went right throu Albacqure & never stoped. I drove 40 miles before we got there. stoped at Socorro & had a drink then went to San Antonio N.M. & got gas & went to resto room & headed to Roswell on hyway 380. Stoped & saw 3 Kinds of Cactus along road & stretched our legs, dry & hot & nothing sage brush didnt even grow no trees even in mountains only cedar & Misquit.
had lunch at Dempseys in Roswell at 2:55. Got to Tatum, N.M. at 4:30 & found Junes trailer & met Mr & Mrs & Son & 4 daughters & Gene. They had us a nice room at Winds motel & we cleaned up & went to their trailer & ate & went to wedding rehersal then went back & Gene showed Fiji slides.
