Friday, July 31, 1959

Gene & Ray worked over to Wallys until 1: & Ivard did chores & we took little Kids & went & got Ivard check & paid bills and went to Caldwell to bank, had root beer & brought gal. home, got cow feed, baler twine & a new screen for our bed room window.

Came home & ate & Gene baled hay until he broke fly wheel.

Wally combined grain until he broke something so Kids unloaded grain and Gene did chores.

We ate at 3: & I took Ivard to work then washed Some of back porch walls.

Dust storm tonight.

We ate & at 8:00 me & Kids went to "Nampa Caldwell Drive Inn" & saw "This Earth is mine" real good & another one. got home at 12:40 & Ivard was home, rode with fireman.

Thursday, July 30, 1959

got 2 cards from Jerry.

Ray & Gene went over to Wallys & worked until about 1: Ivard did chores and helped Wally fix the combine, he broke down. They took load of wheat in & sold.

I was all morning makeing new curtains for back porch. I cooked dinner and we ate when Kids got home.

Ivard started baleing hay & Gene baled all afternoon.

I washed some cltohes & we had lunch for supper. I started washing back porch celing.

Ray hauled the grain in & unloaded it until he broke axel on Wallys pick-up then they used big truck.

I watched T.V. until it went off the air. Ivard got home at 1:05 A.M. ran out of gas

Wednesday, July 29, 1959

Ivard did chores & Gene & Ray went over to Wallys to work. I fixed breakfast for rest of them & fixed Dales sore foot

Washed 2 batches of clothes.

Wally started combineing the mixed grain & Ivard checked water & unloaded grain as he filled pick-up and started to rake hay.

Gene finished rakeing hay & Ray did the milking tonight.

We ate dinner & after I got home from takeing Dale in to Dr. Ross about his foot, had something in it. I took Ivard to work at 2:30 & signed for unemployment & Ivard got some new work shoes. I got groc. & came home.

I took Kids in to Mutual & they came home with some Kids.

I watched T.V. until 11:30 & went after Ivard.

Tuesday, July 28, 1959

mailed letter to Mother & Jerry I wrote yesterday.

got pretty cool last nite. Ray Picked beans & Gene got mower on tractor then they ate & went over to Wallys to work. Ivard milked & checked water then he mowed & we took load grain to town.

I got books up & washed bed spread & blanket and cooked dinner, made a ginger bread for desert.

I washed 2 batches overalls & cleaned back porch.

Kids came home about 1:30 & we ate. Ivard went to work at 3:30. Gene finished mowing & Wally finished combineing wheat. Ray cleaned up basement & got all the fruit on new shelves then he mowed the lawn.

We had supper when Gene got done milking at 8:30. We all went to bed at 9:45.

Cooler all day, didn't need cooler on.

Monday, July 27, 1959

had letter from Jerry, he's in Denver

Ivard got up & milked & Gene cooked his & Rays breakfast & they went over to Wallys to work. I got my books up & started washing clothes. after I read paper I got 7 batches done today and wrote to Mother & Jerry.

I made individual cocoanut cream pies with cocoanut crusts for dinner.

Dale has a real bad sore on bottom of foot, he soaked it then I put wet pack on & kept his foot in air all afternoon. We ate at 2: when Kids came home.

Ivard floated on a 3:30 job

Ray went over to Madisons new house then came home & cleaned bedrooms upstairs & made beds. he got sick this morning over to Wallys. Wally came & started combineing grain, it was too wet so hes doing wheat. I watched T.V. until Ivard got home at 1:15 he'd been to Stockman playing cards.

Sunday, July 26, 1959

Gene did chores & Ivard, Gene, Ray & Dean went to Priesthood & sunday school.

I vacumed my bed room & changed bed & washed my bed Spread & cleaned front room, made a cake, suffle jello salad, & cooked a pork roast with potatoes under it & read paper.

We ate at 1: outside.

Everyone had a nap then Ray did dishes.

Gene did chores & Jackie and I had a bath and we all went to church.

Ivard went up to Rail Road & marked up & got bumped as soon as we got home. He bought Kids a softee on way home.

He didn't work tonight.

Saturday, July 25, 1959

Gene went to work at Pendeltons & Ivard did chores & we ate & I took car in to Dobbs & had a new water pump & thermastat put in, it boiled on Ivard last nite. It was 1:30 when I got groc. & came home then we had icecream & Ivard & I went back to Nampa & he went to Rail Road to see about a job then we went & got feed & a few more groceries.

Came home & Gene was home he got through & got paid, $43.

I cooked hot dogs & made a big Kettle of punch & salad & we ate outside. I washed 2 batches of clothes. Gene did chores & Ivard checked water. Ivard & Jackie bathed & Gene bathed & we took him in to Stake house to lucky clover dance, came home & was watching T.V. & an awful wind came up & lights went out, Thunder, lightening & rained hard for awhile. Ray got home from camp at 11: just as we were leaving to go get Gene. Ivards nite off
