Monday, September 7, 1959

I came home from work & sorted all the clothes & Lynda & Ray washed & cleaned house & I went to bed at 10:30. I woke up at 2:30 & Gail & Kids had gone to town. I went back to bed for an hr. but couldn't sleep so I got up & fixed pork chops & started supper.

got clothes in & put some more out.

I'm sick & Gene too, stomach.

warm, breezy nice day.

Ivard & Kids got home from Rexburg at 6:, Kay found a room before he left.

We ate & I went to bed until time to go to work & Ivard He had to be there at 11: & I left at 11: Gail & Lynda loaded the car & took Kids & left for Rexburg at 11: P.M. to see about going to college.

Sunday, September 6, 1959

Kay left for Rexburg

I came home from work & Ivard was still in bed. I ate & went to bed & Ivard & Gene went over to Nyssa & moved Gail's stuff over here & they came over to stay. The lost their new trailer & all their furniture they turned in on it.

No one went to church today.

Ray cooked dinner, burnt the roast. Gail & them came & we ate at 2:30 & Ivard went to work.

I iorned 10 pieces for Kay & he finished packing. I went back to bed until time to go to work.

Dale was sick tonight & threw up. I was run to bowls all day.

Ivard got home at 10:45 & I drove the pick-up to work.

At 11:30 Ivard, Dean & Dale left for Rexburg to take Kay to college. Gail & Lynda stayed all nite.

Saturday, September 5, 1959

I came home from work & washed 3 batches of clothes, stuff for Kay. Ray did up the work Ivard watched ball game & cut Kay & Genes hair & I cooked dinner & we ate at 2:30 & Ivard went to work.

Gene took Ray in to foot ball practice & we picked him up when Kay & Kids & I went to town to pick up Kays suit case they put his initials on & his 2 pr. of pants they hemmed. came home & Kay got ready & went over to claudias & they went to Boise to show I went to bed after I dampened Kays clothes & we packed his stuff.

Ivard got home at 10:30. I had to drive pick-up to work Kay had car.

Friday, September 4, 1959

I came home from work and Ivard was home in bed so me & Jackie went to bed to get warm & it was noon when we got up. We were supposed to go over to Nyssa & get Kay this morning, we went at noon & stoped to Metcalfs & got 2 lugs tomatoes & a crate of cantalope. got Kay & stoped at Clucus's & got a sack of corn

Rained awhile.

Came home & Ray got supper & Kay & I went to Nampa & got him a samsonite pullman case, & metal suitcase, 2 pr. wool pants, socks, shorts, T shirts a sweater & a coat & he got Jackie a pr. black Nylon velvet shoes. Came home & ate & Ivard & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Thursday, September 3, 1959

I came home from work & Ivard was in bed so I mixed bread & made a batch of cookies and washed some clothes. Grinder guy came at 11: so I woke Ivard up to help him & made bread out & went to bed and Ivard tended Jackie and baked the bread.

I got up and cooked supper and Ivard went in and got kids from foot ball practice & we ate and Ivard & I went to bed until time to go to work

Wednesday, September 2, 1959

Gene & Ray started Seminary
got letter from Jerry & Barbra

I came home from work & washed a batch of blankets & went to bed & Ivard hung them out, tended Jackie & did dishes.

Ivard & Jackie came to bed awhile at noon then Ivard went out & planted one piece of hay & got it harrowed.

I got up at 3:30 & washed 2 batches of overalls & put pork chops on & squash & potatoes then got clothes in & put away.

Dean & Dale came from Primary at 6: & Gene & Ray got home from foot ball practice at 6:45. I fixed cucumbers & made salad & we ate at 7:

Kay called at 5:30, hes quiting tonight & wants us to be after him Friday He got a Scholarship to Ricks & has to be there Monday.

went to bed at 7:30 until time to go to work. Gene & Ray went to Mutual.

Tuesday, September 1, 1959

Ivard wrote Jerry & sent his money

I came home from work & all the Kids were gone to school, Gene & Ray drove Pick-up so they could come home from foot ball practice & they were late, helping Ivard get tractor un stuck.

I washed a batch of clothes & went to bed & hung them out when I got up at 4: & washed another batch, and made a meat loaf & put carrots on then Ivard, Jackie & I went to town & got a seeder from a guy & got our fresh pork from when we had pig killed. had a sundee & came home & finished getting supper & we ate & I got books up & went to bed at 6:30. Gene did chores Ray did dishes & defrosted ice box. Ivards nite off.
