Jerry took Ray to Seminary & Ivard took him to work.

I got up late - read paper in bed.

I didn't do much today. Crocheted on my piano scarf. Played Scrabble with Ivard.

Ray came home from school & took Jackie to Primary when he went to work.

I got supper on & went after Jerry & passed him & Ray comeing home. They didn't stop to eat, went ward teaching. We ate.

They came home from ward teaching & Jerry went to M-Men, Gleaner meeting & Ray went to dress rehersal for Gold & Green ball dance. Had their pictures taken for Statesman.

Watched T.V. & went to bed early.

I laid off sick.

Ivard went & got my riders. Ray woke up too late for Seminary.

Jerry went to work & Kids went to school.

I got up late, read paper in bed. I don't feel good.

I made some red jello for valentine & went to store & got groc. Ray had me buy a valentine cake for everone valentine & he got some valentine candy. Jackie bought some valentine candy & fixed in nut cups for her valentine to everyone. \

I came home & took Jackie to dance lesson.

Ivard & Jackie went up to Dustys when we got back from dancing & spent afternoon & I moved everything & scrubbed & cleaned front room & Kitchen & cooked supper.

Ivard & Jerry went to a Sun Vita meeting & I went to bed.

I laid off sick.

Donna Winters called. Gail - Lynda & Kids came, I was in bed

I came home from work in rain, rained most of day. I went right to bed & at 11: Ivard woke me up because Gail Lynda & Kids had come to get some of Genes money out of bank to save their furniture. They came to take it & Gene said he'd pay it. Ivard went to Caldwell to bank with them & drew out $68.50 for them out of Genes account. He came back & fixed them lunch & they went home. I didn't see them but I didn't get any sleep either.

Tonite Kotters came for awhile about Sun Vita.

I only had 2 hrs sleep today & it was my period too. I was comeing so hard I called in & laid off.

I rode over to Caldwell with Ivard to take my riders. stoped on way home & had a coke.

Sent letter to Lyle & Mother

I came home from work & went right to bed with Ivard & Jackie, they got up right after

I got up at 2: & washed 2 b cloths and wrote a long letter to Lyle then I fixed supper.

After supper Kids went to Mutual and I wrote to Mother. and read paper

Went to bed at 7:30 until time to go to work.

Ivard did dishes & stayed up & watched T.V. until I went to work.

Sent Kay a letter, Ad Salter a birthday card, Kids valentines

rainy - real foggy tonite.

Jerry, Ray & Dean went to Priesthood, Ivard took them so I could have car.

I read paper & got my lesson in bed. I got up at 10: & had a shower & got ready & Dale Jackie & I went to Prayer meeting & sunday school.

Came home at 2: & fixed chicken & noodles & mashed potatoes, peas & shrimp salad & we ate. Ray went to Kotters all afternoon.

I laid down & watched T.V. had fire in fireplace.

Wrote Kay a letter & fixed Kids valentines to mail & mailed them on way to work.

Jerry - Ray, Dean & Dale went to church & Jerry & Ray went to Fireside. Dean & Dale came home with Bishop when he brought Kays money. I went to bed at 8: until time to go to work.

Ray & Dean got their Individual Awards.

Ivard came home from hospital

rained in nite & this morning.

Jerry got up & went to work before we woke up.

I never got up until 9:, 12 hrs sleep, I was so tired.

I got books up & washed a batch of cloths.

Ray & I went to hospital at 11: & brought Ivard home.

Ray went to work at noon.

When Jerry got home from work at 1:15 Dean, Jackie & I took Dale over to Stake House to Primary Party & we got groc. & a couple of sacks of coal. Came home & fixed supper. Ivard went after Dale & we ate.

I played Scrabble with Ivard.

Made a fire in fireplace & watched T.V.

Ray & Jerry went to a "Gold & Green Ball."

fog left & we saw sun a min, first time in 10 days

Roads were slippery but not as bad as last two days, thawed all day. I read paper when I got home & washed some cloths.

Jackie & I went to bed awhile, my ankles are swelled so bad.

At 2: we went & ordered a potted chrys. to send Ivard at hosp. paid lites, water, phone, P.F.C. & went to Bank. Went to Albertsons & Safeways & got groc. & to Savings & loan & paid on Xmas Club. We got up to hospital at 4: just as they delivered flower. We stayed until 5: & came home & got supper & went after Jerry. We ate & I went to hospital at 7: until 8:30. Ivard get to come home tomorrow.

I went to bed at 9: my legs are so swelled & ache so bad.

Kids didn't go any where.

Ray wanted to go to Utah on 11: bus to Kims farewell but I wouldn't let him.

took Stomach Pump out of Ivard

roads were terrible, too slippery to take Sis to Kotters. I made her go to bed with me at 11:30. We got up at 3: and took Jackie to Primary & visited Ivard until she was out then Jackie & I visited Ivard until time to go get Jerry. I had meat loaf in & Dean finished getting supper & we ate when we got home.

I spent all morning working on books & getting payments ready to mail.

I went to bed after we ate until time to go to work.

Jerry & Ray went to dance practice & stuff.

Sun came out a min. first time in over a week.

The roads were glass - I was until 9:15 getting home - rained & froze. I took Jackie down to Kotters & went to bed. Got up at 12:30 & went up & met Jackie at her dancing lessons then she went back home with Helen.

Ray didn't go to school today but went to work this afternoon.

I went & visited Ivard after dance & got groc.

I came back & got Jackie & went after Jerry & went to bed until time to go to work, my ankles are swelled so bad.

No one went to see Ivard or any where else tonite, Kids fixed their own supper.

I went to work at 11: road are real slick.

rained & froze - slippery going to Boise & work. Kids got beat out of Tournment.

foggy & nasty all day - snowe 2 hrs at 4:

I came home from work and took Dale to school & Jackie down to Kotters to stay all day so I could sleep. Helen took her to relief Society then up to hospital to visit Ivard while her mother had ex-rays.

I went to bed at 9:30 & was just about to sleep when Jerry came to change his pants & talked to me then I just about got to sleep again when I got a cramp in my leg & had to get up & walk around awhile. I slept until 2: then went up to hospital to see Ivard. Got groc. & gas & took Ivards Ins form to Dr. then up to Rail Road by 3:45.

Dean fixed supper & went up & saw Ivard until time to get Jerry. I didn't go tonite. Went & got Jackie after. Ray worked after school until 6: Jerry & I went up to church & went to Boise with Edith to tournment. Ontario beat us out. We stoped & ate, got home at 10:30 & went to work.

I took Jerry to work & Kids went to school.

Came home & washed 3 batches of cloths & got my books up.

Helen called & talked awhile said she would tend Jackie so I could sleep.

At 12:30 Jackie & I went to Caldwell & put my dimes in bank & some money in Dean, Dale & Jackies Savings account. We had hamberger & fries at Kuwick Curb & came back to Nampa to hospital & visited Ivard from 1: until 3:30 & we came home & dried cloths & made Rays bed.

Fixed supper & took Jerry & Dean to Mutual at 7: & went to hospital & visited Ivard.

Ray went to work after school & to dance Practice & Mutual from there. I went to bed at 9: until time to go to work. Dean went back to school.

Jackie gave 2 1/2 min. talk, did good

Foggy & frosty all day.

Jerry & Ray went to Priesthood Dean stayed home sick.

Ray came & got me for officers meeting at 11:30 & Jackie & Dale. Jackie had to give 2 1/2 min. talk. Ray said she did real good.

We stayed to Fast meeting. got home after 2: & ate at 3: I went to hospital. Came home at 5: & Gene & Gail were here, brought Pick-up home. Gail got home from Sacramento yesterday, didn't get a job.

We went back up to hospital & visited Ivard, Gene, Ray & Gail & I left at 7: & came home & Ray & I took them home in fog. I was so mad at them. I had to lay off work. It was 11: when we got home & went to bed.

Lynda was supposed to have come after them.

Got letter from Ruth to say Uncle Stan died Thursday

still foggy, not bad.

I got up & took Jerry to work and Ray, washed cloths & changed my bed & got it done.

I went & got Jerry at 12:30 & we went & got a plastic mattress cover for Rays bed & Paid on his laway then Jerry got some groc. & we went to hospital and visited Ivard. He feels better. We came home at 3:30 & I iorned until dark. Jerry cleaned my room & him & Ray made bed. Dean sick in bed all day.

I didn't mix bread today.

I went to see Ivard at 7: & Jerry got Kids to bed. I went & saw Bishop Perrys wife too & new baby.

When I got home at nine Jerry & Ray went up to Dairy Queen & brought me back a milk Shake. My nite off. Watched T.V. until 11:

Ivard went back to hospital

Dean home sick - sore throat

hazy & cloudy - cold.

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed for a little while.

Gene went to dentist & got his new glass tooth, got his tooth wrecked in foot ball, he came home & slept about all day & let Ivard go out & fix chicken cook & carry water to calves.

Ivard went to Dr. this morning & had a shot & at noon he called & said he wanted him right up to hospital so at 3: I took him up & they put Stomache Pump on him.

Gene took pick-up & went back over to Gails, when I got home at 4:

I fixed supper & went up to hospital to see Ivard. Ray rode up with me & met Kurt & went over to Stake house to practice. I came home at 9: & went to bed. Nite off.

I came home from work, I was so tired I went right to bed & slept all day. Got up at 5:

Ivard went to Dr. for his shot. Jackie had nap with me & Ivard woke her up at 3: & they went to Adrian & got Gene, they picked Jerry up on their way home.

I got supper & we ate when they came. I got my books up.

Jerry went to meeting & Ray went to dance practice.

Kurt came to visit with Gene then they went away awhile then John came awhile then John came awhile when he got home & they went awhile.

I went to bed until time to go to work.

still goffy & misserable

When I got home Ivard had gone to hospital for ex-rays.

Jackie watched T.V. & I went to bed, I was so tired. Ivard came a little later. I slept until noon then got up & Ivard had gone down basement to see if he could find shut off on water & found a cracked elbo on hot water line & all the hot water was leaking in basement. Him & Dusty Rhodes fixed a new one. Now we don't have to buy the new tank. I took Ivard to Dr & he will have to go back to hospital if he isn't any better by Sat, after takeing anti-biodics. He thinks he has a deep assess the ex-rays don't show, hes eating wrong too. Went to Rail road & got groc. Came home & laid down an hr & Mrs Kotter came & took Ivard & I up to "Chief" to meeting about getting into new Co. Vita Rich. At 10:30 I went to work. Jerry went on Mutual work.

I came home from work & read paper & wet right to bed.

Ivard went to Dr. at 10:30 & took Jackie with him. They came home & at noon they came to bed with me and I never did get any more sleep.

Ivard & Jackie went & got Jerry from work.

I got up this afternoon & washed cloths and fixed supper.

They brought new water tank & plumber came & said he'd charge $15. to Install it. He will come tomorrow.

Ray worked a little while after school.

We ate & all of us went to Stake House to final game of tournment. We got beat by 2nd Ward but we go to region because 2nd is inelligable. Jerry left to store meeting & we had to wait an hr. Came home & laid 1 1/2 hr & went to work.

I came home & Ivard & Jackie hadn't gone to Sacramento with Gail, I was sure glad but I'll worry about him going all alone in this weather.

I read paper & went to bed at 9:30 got up at 3:30 after Ivard came to bed awhile & Ivard & Jackie went up to pay some bills at 3:45 and get a few groc. I wrote letter to Kay & Ivard mailed it when he went after Jerry.

Ray went to work a little while after school.

I fixed supper & we ate & at Ivard & Kids went to Middleton to tournment, we beat Kuna.

Me & Jackie & Dale stayed home & went to bed.

Gail left for Sacramento all alone in fog at midnite

I read paper in bed.

Jerry - Ray Dean & Dale went to Stake Conference.

I got up & tended Sis & played Salatair. I had a big Kettle of Fruit Cocktail fixed for lunch when they got home. then Ivard Jerry - Ray & Dean went to after noon conference.

Dale & Jackie played & I went to bed to write to Kay but went to sleep. I got up at 6:00 and washed a batch of cloths and watched T.V. & got my diary up.

Gail called & wanted Ivard to go to Sacramento, Ivard has the basketball tourn & has to go to Dr. Tues. I called Gail back & told him to come by & I'd give him $10. & Ivard might go. They had a special meeting after conference to see about dressing room getting wrecked the other nite. Ivard & Jerry Ray & Dean to conference & meeting after I went to bed, passed Gail on way to work. I called home when I got to work & Ivard hadn't decided yet.

Jerry & Ray went to work. I got up & washed cloths, most of them in cold water, our hot water tank must have broke the other nite when the water froze up. I made 4 loaves of white bread & 4 of Irish Oatmeal.

Ray came home for lunch. Jerry went to decorate Stake house after he got off work and got home about 3:

Jerry fixed supper & we ate and at 6:50 we all left for Middleton to basketball tournment. We got beat 3 points by 2nd Ward.

Mother sent me new dress & Kids some Valentines.

warmer 25 degrees today

I came home from work & read paper & went to bed until noon then got ready & Ivard took Jackie & I up to Superior Western & Jackie had a hair cut & Shampoo & I had tint, cut & set. Ivard went & got a new gas tank on car & picked us up at 4: I went to drug store & went & Paid place & got groc. & we came home & I got supper and Ivard went back after Jerry. Ray went to work for little while after school.

We ate & at 6:30 all of us went over to Middleton to Junior basket ball tournment. Our ward beat Kuna. 45 to 30. Ray went out on fouls. We got home at 11: & went right to bed. I sure was tired.

I came home from work and read paper & Ivard got up & we went to Boise & had 2 checks signed by St. Lukes hospital, my Ins. on Ivard, $463.35. Came back to Nampa after I bought a new toilet seat & the Kids some Valentines & candy. Went to bank & paid some bills came home at 12:30 & Jackie & I went to bed. Woke me up at 3:30 & Ivard took Jackie to Primary. I got up & cooked supper. Ivard went & got Kids from Primary & went & got a hair cut & brought Jerry home.

Ray went to work in Pick-up & to play practice after.

Ivard & I went to bed at 7: & were just about to sleep when cold water hose busted on washer, they disconnected it & shut off tap. they just got out when hot water tap burst, water all over place & no shut off. Ivard found a tap & put on.

Got letter from Claudia

Cold, but warmer. got to 2 degrees last nite & 18 above today.

I came home from work and ate & read paper & went to bed at 9:45.

I got up at 12:30 & took Jackie to dancing then we came home & got Ivard & took him out to Jesse Clarks to get pick-up. The Ins. fixed it, after Jerrys wreck.

Came home & played Scrabble then Ivard took Ray to work & Dean to get some school paper & I worked on my books. We played another Scrabble & I got supper.

I went to bank & put some money in my Savings account.

Dale didn't go to Cub Scouts, it was posponed.

We ate supper when Ivard got Jerry & I went to bed until time to go to work.

Ray went to work after school.

I was about froze when I got home. I ate & read paper & went to bed. I got up at 3:00 & we took Ray to work, he stayed home from school today. Went to hospital & got my 2 checks signed & went up to Hales & paid for 3 electric blankets & heater (electric) got 27 lbs hamberger for freezer & groc., 2 sacks coal & licence for pick-up. Came home & got supper on & Ivard went & got Ray & Jerry. We ate & at 6:30 Ivard & Dale & Ray went to Middleton to their last game. Jerry rode with them to a store meeting, they didn't have it so he went to game.

I got books up & went to bed at 8: until time to go to work.

Got letter from Mother

26 degrees below zero

Gail & Gene came

I got $900. from my Ins. on Ivard.

I about froze to death then heater quit working comeing home. I get home & we had run out of oil. Had a fire in fire place. My washer & tub are froze up & shower drain.

Gail was here, he'd brought Gene over for his 8:30 dentist appointment. We ate breakfast & played Scrabble then oil guy came & we got warmed up. Ivard & Gail went & got Gene at 11:30 & Ivard fixed us lunch & we ate & at 1:30 I went to bed & Gail & Gene went home.

We went up to hospital to get Ins. Checks signed but couldn't see the sister, one was mine & I cashed it & got groc., sack coal & gas came home & got supper & Ivard went after Jerry. We ate & Kids went to Mutual & I went to bed until time to go to work.

I read paper in bed & got my sunday school lesson.

Ivard, Jerry, Ray & Dean went to to Priesthood & Ivard came home & took me - Dale & Jackie to my prayer meeting then sunday school. Came home & hurried & ate and Jerry & I went over to Garners & got Alice & went to Stake House to Sunday School Union meeting. Got home at 4: & played Scrabble & watched T.V. Jackie & I went to bed at 7: & Ivard & Kids went to church. Jerry had to talk for his first time as traveling companion to High Councel, Dr. Daines.

I got up & went to work at 11:, car wheels froze up. It was 26 degrees below.

snowed & blowed - snow was 1 ft deep on level & 3 or 4 in places

Ivard got up & took Jerry to work then him & Ray, Dean & Dale went over to Stake house to ball practice, they were gone when I woke up.

I got up at 9:45 & washed, dried & put away 3 big batches of cloths, made a big Kettle of chilli & 2 batches of bread and 3 pumpkin pies, 2 banna cream pies & a pan cinnamon rolls. Ivard & Kids & Jerry got home at 1:30 & Ray ate & Ivard took him to work.

We ate at 3:30 & played Scrabble.

Ray went to game at school.

We watched T.V. until it went off air. had fire in fire place, sure cold.

I came home from work & read paper and made a bowl of fruit Jello for supper & one for 70's party.

I went to bed t 10: & stayed until about 2:30 then I got up and played Scrabble with Ivard and washed some cloths.

Ray came home from school & Ivard took him to work & he went & got him when he got Jerry.

At 7:15 Max & June Barlow came & got us & we went & got the Lester Jones's & we went to Kuna to Stake 70's supper & programe. The wind was really blowing & drifting. We got home at midnite.

Ray went up to high school game.

My nite off - I'm sure glad.

Dale stayed home sick.

I got up at 2:30 & washed a batch of cloths & put spare ribs in oven & played Scrabble with Ivard.

Ray came home from school & Ivard took him to work and took Dale & Jackie to Primary then went & got them.

Ivard Dean & I played Scrabble. I cooked supper & we ate when Ivard got back from getting Jerry. Ray came home too.

I got books up & went to bed at 7:30 until time to go to work.

Kids all stayed home tonite.

Jerry took Ray to Seminary & Ivard took Jerry to work and went and got my riders. I had gas so bad I didn't sleep all nite. Got up & went & got Ivard - he took pick-up to Jesse Clarks to be fixed. We went & payed Shade oil then played Scrabble.

At 12:40 I took Jackie to dance lesson then went & signed for unemployment & paid Alexamders. Came home & Ivard had last nites dishes done and a big Kettle of corn popped for Dale to take to Cub Scouts.

We played Scrabble.

I fixed supper & we ate when Jerry & Ray got home.

Jerry went to M-Men & Gleaner meeting.

Ray did dishes

I went to bed at 7:30 & slept until 10:30. I went back to work tonite.

Got letter from Kay & Ruth T. I sent letter to Kay & Mother.

Jerry took Ray to Seminary. Ivard took Jerry to work & went & got my riders.

When I woke up at 9:30 Ivard had last nites dishes done & was ready to go to Dr. While he was gone I cleaned house & washed my bed & another batch of cloths. Ivard got feed & 2nd payment from cows & went & saw Ins. about Jerrys wreck. He came home & had lunch & took Pick-up up to get an estimate on having it fixed.

Got letter from Ruth & Kay & I sat down & answered Kays letter and wrote one to Mother.

Played a game of Scrabble & cooked supper.

Ray went to work in Pick-up. Came home when Ivard got here with Jerry. We ate & Jerry went to Stake house to sell candy & Ivard, Ray & Dean went to Caldwell to play ball. I went to bed at 7: I laid off again. I got up at 11: & rode with Ivard to take my riders.

Got letter from Lyle.

Foggy all morning - sunny & thawing all afternoon.

Jerry took Ray to Seminary then Ivard took Jerry to work & went over to Caldwell & got my riders from work.

I got up at 10: & read paper & ate & worked on my books & fixed out payments & Ivard & I played Scrabble. At 2: we went to Bank & paid bills & got the licence for car.

Had a sundee on way home. got home at 4: Kids were home from school.

Ray didn't have to go to work tonite. He read his school book until 5:30 then Ivard took him up to church at 6: for Play practice, on his way after Jerry.

I fixed supper & we ate and Jerry & Dean went to Mutual.

Jerry got fined $15. for his wreck Friday with $5. suspended.

Ivard & I played Scrabble & watched T.V. I rode with him to take my riders, I laid off.

Dale was 10 years old.

I read paper in bed then got up & helped Jerry made a angle food cake & put a ham roast on to cook.

Ivard - Jerry - Ray & Dean went to Priesthood & sunday school, Ray came home & got me & little Kids for sunday school.

I had potatoes peeled & when we got home I put them on, & made gravy & opened yams & pees & Jerry went & got some softee & we were just going to eat when Gene - Gail - Debbie, Jeff & Kriss came, Lynda stayed home. We ate & visited & watched T.V. Gail left at 6: we played Scrabble & Jerry & Ray went & got chairs for fireside.

Baked 8 loaves bread. Ivard went to Adrian. Lyles birthday

Ivard got up and took Jerry to work then at 9:15 him & Ray went to Stake House to ball practice

I fixed breakfast for me & Kids and mixed 2 batches of bread, white & oatmeal raisin, 8 loaves. sunny but didn't melt much

I washed 4 batches of cloths.

Ivard got home at 12:30, he had Jerry & they droped Ray off at work.

At 2: Jerry & Dean went up town to get Dale a birthday present, got a few groc. & bought me 12 towels, 6 wash cloths & a beach towel. Ivard left for Adrian at 4:15, was going to stop in Caldwell & got Dale a pr of Skates with Gold Strike Stamps he was going to get his mail & go to game. Jerry fixed supper & Dean & Dale did dishes & Ray moped floors & I iorned for 2 1/2 hrs. Bishop came at 7: & took Dean up to church to go to Boise Swimming but there weren't enough so he came home after a milk Shake. Ray went up to school to game & dance.

Ivard got home at 11: Ray at mid nite.

Jerry got in wreck.

It started to snow at 5:30 A.M. & snowed until afternoon.

I came home from work & read paper and went to bed at 9:30. I got up at 2:30. I dont feel very good. I played a game of Scrabble with Ivard.

Ray came home from school & went to work.

I made tapioca pudding & tamalle pie for supper & we ate when Jerry & Ray came at 6:45. Jerry got in wreck in pick-up - couldn't stop at stop sign & slid into two cars, bashed our back & front fender got a ticket for Failure to yield. fined $25., $15. suspended.

Bishop came & took Ray & Dean to Stake House to Banna Split Party.

Dale came home from school & went to Cub Scouts.

I made a beef, vegetable pie for supper. We ate when Jerry & Ray came.

I got home from work & read the paper & went to bed at 9: Jackie and Ivard were still in bed. I was froze half to death - cold wind all nite. I woke up at 4: when Kids came home from school & got up & washed a batch of overalls, made a big Kettle of fruit cocktail, cocoa & tuna sandwiches for supper. We ate when Ivard went & got Jerry & Ray got home from work.

Ivard - Dale & Ray went to Kuna to play ball, We won - They went at 6:30 & got home at 9:30.

Jerry got called in to Stake Presidents office & he was ask to be traveling companion to high councel.

I went to bed until time to go to work but didn't go to sleep - had stomache ache.

Came home & did some patching

Ray came home from school & went to work - When Dean came he cleaned his & Jerrys room & helped me make all the beds.

I got supper & we ate when Jerry & Ray came & at 6:40 Jerry - Ray & Dean went to Mutual.

I went to bed at 7: till time to go to work had gas so bad I never did go to sleep. Ivard went up & helped Kids practice basketball.

I read paper in bed & got my sunday school lesson. Jerry - Ray & Dean went to Priesthood and I made a meat loaf scalloped potatoes & put in icebox to cook when we got home & a Jello salad. Dale Jackie & I went to Sunday school at 11:30, I had to be to prayer meeting at 11:40. My first day as Sunday School teacher, had 17 Kids - Dales class. Ivard was still in bed when we left. Jerry went to work until noon then went & got a hair cut, got home at 1:45 with some groceries.

relief society brought us a big Xmas box - Turkey - candy - nuts - oranges -apples. Ivard & Jackie went to Nyssa & stayed all nite.

I pulled & pushed Ivard up & down the street in pick-up until he finally got it started, batter dead & gears kept locking, and him & Jackie left for Nyssa at 11: A.M. He called at 7: & said they were going to stay all nite, they had a flat tire.

Came home & cooked supper & took Ray to work then I went & got Jerry.

Jerry got $50. bonus at work.

Ivard called & said they had a flat tire as they were leaving so they stayed at Gails all nite.

Ivard had a nap while Jackie & I went to dance lesson & then I went & signed for unemployment & we went & bought a hanky for Jackies dance teacher. Came home at 6: & Ivard, Dale, Jackie & I went & got Jerry from work & we ate & Jerry went Shopping with a boy they were getteing Xmas for, Stake M Men, then to a Party.

Jerry - Ray - & Dean went to Priesthood & Sunday School & Ray came home & took Debbie, Dale & Jackie to Sunday school. I read paper & made a curtain for front door & got it & new blind up.

Fixed dinner & we ate when Kids got home. Jerry didn't have time, he had to go to Stake meeting then he went messing up to Alice's until dark, came home sick & he didn't go to church. All the rest of us went, first time Ivard has been out to church. Came home & cows were out & we had to chase them up to Dustys to get them in.

Jerry went to work until noon & I washed cloths & iorned till he got home then Jerry Dean & I went up town & changed Deans boots & got him some shoes for Xmas. Got a blind & curtain rods for front door. Jerry bought the candy & nuts for Xmas & a ham roast. We mailed cards & Lyles pkg.

Mrs. Yorgenson brought us 2 big boxes of groc. from Welfare & sack of potatoes.

Ray went to work all day, came home at noon & cut tree off & fixed it. Came at 5: & went up to church. Jerry got us a hamberger & we came home at 4: & Jerry & Dean went up to church to decorate Xmas trees. Ray came home at 4:30 & went up too. We ate without them. They came home about 9: & decorated our tree.

We had a good Turkey dinner & lots of good salads & plum pudding. I left at 1:30 & went up town & bought a few Xmas things & got Ivard prescription & brought home then I went back up town & shopped until Jerry got off work then we went shopping awhile, got groc. & came home & ate.

Jerry went back to Store at 8: for meeting.

Ray went to Kuna & they won, beat Caldwell 2nd.

Kids had gone to school & Jerry to work before I woke up. I fixed Ivard & Jackie breakfast & spent all morning writeing to Louie.

I feel awful & Ivard's stomache hurts too. Mrs. Yorgason came. Got a Xmas card from Bill & Jean & a letter from each of them & $75.

I fixed lunch and Ivard & I played 2 games Scrabble.

Kids came home from school & Ray went to work at Thorn Printing.

We had warmed up left overs for supper when Kids got home then Jerry - Ray and Dean went to Mutual.

I read paper in bed and got up after Jerry - Ray & Dean left for priesthood. Jerry had a roast on & I made jello salad & cooked dinner & we made a angle food cake& had peach short cake. Ray came home & got Dale & Jackie for sunday school. Ivard & I played 2 games Scrabble. Kids came at 2: & we ate dinner. Jerry & Ray took off for Xmas tree all afternoon. We got laid off for a whole month. I came home from work & went to bed until noon but about froze to death. Jerry worked until noon but Ray didn't have to go today.

I washed cloths all afternoon. Ray moved everything around and scrubbed & waxed and decorated the mantle for Xmas.

I stayed up & watched T.V. until it went off the air.

I came home from work and read paper & went to bed at 10: I never got home until 9: roads were so slick.

Snowed 3 in.

I came home from work so tired. I washed a batch of cloths and went to bed at 9: I never knew a thing until Ray woke me up at 4: to take him to work. There was 3 in. of snow on ground.

I took Ray to work & Jackie to Primary then I swept walks until Dean came & he finished them & did his chores. I made a rice pudding for breakfast & went after Kids & got a few groc. came home & fixed supper. Jerry picked Ray up on his way home & we ate then Ray went to play practice & I got my books up & read paper.

Gene withdrew from Nampa High School & moved out & went to Gails to live & finish school at Adrian.

I came home from work & ate & read paper & went to bed after I cooked Ivard & Jackies breakfast. Ivard woke me up at 12:30 & I got ready and took Jackie to dance practice then I went & signed up for unemployment and got a few groc. Came home at 4: and went to bed and never got up until time to go to work but I couldn't sleep.

Ivard took Gene up to High School & withdrew him & he moved out and went to Adrian to live with Gail & finish school at Adrian. I was so mad at Ivard & Gene. He never even woke me up & said goodbye. Gail came over & took his dresser for him.

Ray went to work then came home & made Xmas decorations to sell. Jerry went to meeting.

Ivard went to Boise to Dr.

sunny & windy 28 degrees when I came home from work. I ate & read paper & went to bed at 9:30 & Ivard got me warm. He got up & tended Sis. I washed a batch of cloths.

I got up at 1:15 & we went to Boise to Dr., won't half to go to him again unless something goes wrong. Took Ins. papers up to hospital & left them. Had hamberger & root beer at "Pac Out" got home at 5:45 & fixed supper.

Came home at 7:30 & Jerry & Ray were up shopping & Gail & Lynda came & left Kids & they went shopping. Dean & I fed Kids & they all got home about 9:30 and Gail & Lynda took Dale & Jackie home for week-end to go to Ontario & see Santa Parade

I got up, after I read paper, and got Ivard & Jackie breakfast then changed my bed & Kids & washed 6 batches of cloths & got books up. Answered phone & Mrs. Terry came over a few min. to see Ivard.

Fixed lunch and wrote 12 page letter to Kay & one to Berniece.

Made Barbacue & we ate when Kids got home then Jerry, Ray & Dean went to Mutual.

Gene slept most of day. Went to bed at 8: until time to o but couldn't sleep. We went back to work tonite after 10 days off.

Ivard came home from hospital. Ray got his Duty to God award. We got a new Bishop - Perry. Lyle - Gail came.

I read paper in bed. Got up & fixed Dale, Jackie & I breakfast after Jerry, Ray, & Dean went to priesthood.

I took Dale & Jackie to sunday school at 11:50 & car stoped on my up at college stop sign so they got out & went with Crofts. Mrs. Madison came along & pushed me & got me started & I went & mailed Ivards letter for compensation & went to Albertsons & got groc. & got gas. Came home at 12:30 & got books up. Ivard called & said he could come home so I left for Boise at 2: & brought Ivard home. Kids had eaten & Ray was doing dishes.

Lyle & his Kids came with Gail Lynda & Kids & Gene & his girl about 6: & visited awhile. Barbra stayed with her Mother, had a scare & took her back to hospital. At 7:30 they left all Kids here & went to Caldwell bowling. Jerry went to Caldwell to church & Ray & Dean went to ours. Ray got his Duty to God award. I got Ivard to bed & fed Kids some icecream & laid down with Ivard & Dale played games with Kids. I got up at 9:30. They came at 10: & went home at 10:30. Gene went too to get his car. Lyle goes home in morning.

I got up when Jerry went to work & started to iorn, did 44 pieces quit at 1:30 when Jerry got home with car. Dean cleaned his bed room. I washed 3 batches

Ray worked all day at Thorn's.

I had a shower & left for Boise at 2: got there about 2:50. set with Ivard until 7:15. He feels real good ate meat & everything today. Thinks he'll come home tomorrow or Monday.

I went & had a shake & fries after at "Murrys" & got home at 8:30.

Ray & I watched T.V. until it went off the air. Jerry & other Kids went to bed early.

Gene went to Nyssa for week end & took Lyle.

I got up at 7:30 & started to iorn, did 40 pieces. quit at noon.

Dean & Ray fixed breakfast & Dean did dishes. Barbra swept & moped up floors & Gene took Lyle up to get his Idao Drivers licence. Gene & Dean fixed cocoa & sandwiches for lunch & I got ready & Lyle, Barbra, & I went to Boise to hospital to see Ivard. He feels real good. Gail called Ivard at 4:30 from our place & said he had to go home early, but he'd waite until 6: We walked in house at streight up 6: & they'd been gone 20 min. Dean had supper ready, spagetti & left overs & we ate & at 7: Gene took Lyle, Barbra & Kids over to Gails to stay & he would too.

Ray did dishes & Jerry went away awhile. Kids went to bed. I watched T.V. until about 10: & went to bed.

Lyle Barbra & Kids came from Calif.

Kids all home today from school & work. I got up early & made cranberry sauce, dressing, put ham roast to cook & cooked a Kettle of squash, made 3 pumpkin pies & 2 mince. Jerry made cranberry salad & fixed squash in cassarole with marshmallows on & finished dinner & I got ready & at 11: I left for Boise to have Thanksgiving dinner with Ivard. Each patient could have a guest he was as excited as little Kid. I had Turkey & all the trimmings, he had bullion milk & custard. I visited until 1:30 & he sent me home to eat with Kids. We ate at 3:30. I was going back to see Ivard with Gail but he never did show up.

At 8: Clifford & Mr. Metcalf brought Lyle, Barbra & Kids, they got here this morning, rode up with friends from Vale. Joe brought his projector & showed us his pictures of Kids & Jerrys slides he took on Mission. Joe left about 9:30. Lyle stayed all nite. We visited awhile & all went to bed.

Dr. said Gene had slight concussion for hitting his head on wind shield in car wreck over to Nyssa over week end in Marvin Haneys car. Really rained this afternoon.

Jerry went to work & Kids went to school. Gene didn't go to school today. I helped him load 2 cows, 2 trips, & he took them to sale at Karture Junction. I washed 4 batches of cloths, got ready & went up & got a few groc. & feed. got to dancing class at 1:, Mrs Kotter brought Jackie then took her back home while I went to hospital. I came home at 2:20 & got Gene & we went to Boise to see Ivard. He feels pretty good but his coughing spells that hurt his stomache, too many smokers. We left at 5:30 & went & had hamberger, Shake & fries for our supper. Got to Nampa at 6:45 & Gene got his free gal. of icecream he won at foot ball banquet at Alpin Rose D. Got home & let Gene out & went to Kotters & got Jackie. Mutual bought us a basket, whole chicken, roast & bunch of canned goods. I watched T.V. awhile & went to bed early. Gene & Ray went to Dr. Markusen for physical for church ball.

Jackie stayed at Kotters all afternoon & nite.

Jerry took Ray to Seminary & came home & ate & went to work. Ray didn't come home before school. Kids went to school & I washed 3 batches of cloths & was until after Gene came home for lunch, doing 2 days dishes.

I got ready & Jackie & I went & got Dean shoes from shoe makers & got her some candy & took her down to Kotters & left her & I went to Boise to see Ivard. He feels pretty good today. I visited him all afternoon. when I came out to come home at 7: it was really snowing & had about 2 in. on car. It snowed & blowed hard all the way home, looked like a big river flowing across road in front of me all the way. I got home at 8: & Jackie wasn't home yet & Gene & Ray had gone to Kuna to play their first basketball game (church). They beat Caldwell 2nd.

I went to Kotters after Jackie but she was in bed asleep so I left her all nite. I sat & talked until 10: & came home & went to bed, Kids came right after & Jerry from his meeting.

Our first snow storm

Ivard got card from Stella

started to snow, lightly, at midnite. had about 2 ins. when we got up. Jerry took Ray to Seminary while I cooked breakfast, bacon, eggs & toast & orange juice. He ate when he got back & rest of kids then Gene went & did chores & Ray came & they all went to school.

I washed overalls & socks & colored cloths all morning.

The snow melted off roads pretty good & Jackie & I went & got cow feed then picked Dean up at school at 2: & we came home & Dean tended Jackie & at 2:30 I went up & got Gene & we went to Boise to see Ivard. He felt pretty good today. we stayed until 5: then we came home. Kids all went to Mutual & Dale & Jackie went to bed. I watched T.V., I don't feel very good.

Ivard was operated on this morning

Sent letter to Mother & Lyle.

Ray & Jerry went to work & I spent all morning writeing to Mother.

The Dr. hadn't called by 11: to tell me what they'd found out so I called his office & the nurse said, "why he's over to Boise operating," I said, "He'd better not be, they never let me know." She said to hang up & she'd call & see what she could find out. She called up & said they had & they were just finishing up & the Dr. would call me in a few min. He did & said it was a missunderstanding, he thought I knew. He said Dr. Robert Smith, a specialist had operated & that Ivard was fine. They took out is dodum, completely blocked from stomache to intestine, they made a new opening out of part of Instestine. Also took out a nerve & he won't have ulcers any more. He said he would be out of recovery room about 2: so Jerry, Dale & I went to Boise & Jerry took Dale Xmas shopping while I waited to see Ivard, they brought him to his room about 2:45. He looked good & said he felt a lot better with tube out of his nose. They were feeding him interveinsly. He was doped but he'd come out & talk every once in awhile. I wrote Lyle while I sat there. Jerry came & stayed awhile they wouldn't let Dale in. We left at 6: & went to "Murrys" & had shake, fries & hamberger. Came home at 7: & Jerry & Kids wrapped Presents. I watched T.V. relief society brought us an order of food.

Got letter from Claudia.

Ivard went to St. Lukes hospital in Boise

I came home from work at 8:30, we got laid off for next 10 days.

I cleaned up house, washed some cloths and this afternoon Jackie & I went to hospital to see Ivard. After we were there awhile the Dr. (Horton) called on phone & wanted to talk to me. He wanted to know if I could get Ivard over to Boise to St. Lukes hospital right away. I didn't dare drive after never having gone to bed so I called the Bishop & he came about 4: & drove Ivard & I to Boise.

Gene came to see Ivard so I sent Jackie home with him & he tended her till Dean got home then he left for Nyssa for week end. We got Ivard in hospital at 5:30 then we left as Dr. Smith wouldn't be in until 7:30. He was going to examine him & study ex-rays & maybe operate tomorrow. They will let me know. I sat in car for hr. while Bishop was in his Vista-Village store. Got home at 8: & went to bed. I was dead. Our ward Bizzar, Ray only one who went.

She got me up at 12:30 & I cleaned toilet & got ready & Jackie & I went to hospital, Joe Metcalf came just as we were leaving & went with us. His wife went to hospital this morning & had a 8 lb tumor taken out they thought she was going to have a baby. I went to rail road about Ivards sickness Comp & took it to Dr & had filled out. Got groc & came home & got books up.

Ivard passed out again this morning & they couldn't ex-ray, again. Was real sick then had a bad nose bleed.

Jerry went to see Ivard tonite & I went to bed until time to go to work.

I got books up & wrote letters to Irvin & Kay & Jerry sent Kay birthday card. I mailed them when I went to hospital.

Jerry & Dean went to church when I went to hospital, I droped them off. I came home at 8:30 & went to bed until time for work.

Bishop & Atwell Perry came to hospital & adminestered to Ivard.

70's gave us $75. for Kay. It will really help. Kids got home from Nyssa at 11:30.

Gene got up at 4:30 A.M. & went out & did Wally's chores & hauled us in a load of straw & helped some guy load our 3 cows he bought.

I got up & made biscuits & Gene cooked bacon & eggs & Dean opened grapefruit & set table & we ate a late breakfast. Jerry didn't work today. I made a big Kettle of soup & washed 6 batchs of cloths. Changed my bed. got them all dry - warm & breezy.

Ray worked until noon then had to go after game for awhile.

Gene left for game at 12: & at 1: Ray came & took me up. We beat Caldwell 18 to 7 & Gene was sensational, 2 made 2 of touch Downs. A wonderful way to end his high school foot ball carer. Gail & Marvin Haney were there & we waited for Gene & went up to hospital & saw Ivard. We ate soup & Gail took Ray home with him to help move. Gene went out & did Wallys chores & ours & he left for Nyssa at 7: Jerry took Dean to Boise to supper & show & Xmas shopping at noon, got home at 9:

I came home from work & Ray had stayed up all nite & cleaned house & changed everything around. He hadn't started when I left for work at 11: he even swept walks, He went to bed bed at 5:30 A.M.

I laid down on davenport & slept a little until noon. Sis, the phone & people at door Kept wakeing me up.

Sis & I went & got feed then she stayed in car while I went & saw Ivard. We came home & I got supper & ate. Gene went to hospital with me. Ray worked late. Jerry had to go work on church paper, he came up to hospital a few min. We came home at 8:30 & went to bed.

My nite off.

Took Ivard radio.

got letter from Lyle

Helen Kotter came & got Jackie at 8: & Kept her all day, Gene went & got her at 5:30. I washed 4 batches of cloths & went to bed but never did get to sleep, tried too hard & was cold. Jackie went to Primary too.

Jerry came home a min when Gene was home for lunch.

I got up at 1: & went to hospital & sat for hr. & Ivard never woke up. He roused up a min. then & talked a min. & went back to sleep so I left at 3: & came home & went to sleep until 4:30 when Ray woke me up going to work.

I got supper on, stuffed Peppers & Dean put on Potatoes. I went & got Dale from Primary. Jackie had already gone with Helen. Got books up. Gene went & got Sis.

We ate & I went to hospital to see Ivard. slept about 2 hrs. & went to work.

Ivard went to hospital

sunny & not to cool in daytime.

I came home from work & read paper & Ivard took Kids to school.

I went to bed at 9:30 & Ivard & Jackie went & got me a new tire on car & Pd. off Americal oil, old farm gas bill. Wally gave us the $200. as first payment on our side-delivery rake he bought.

They woke me up at 12:30 & I took Jackie to dance practice then came home & at 3: we took Ivard to hospital. They are going to pump his stomache & feed him threw veins to see if they can get his ulcer better. I got groc. & came home at 4: Dale had gone to cub scouts.

I got books up & fixed my work pants & fixed supper & laid down until Jerry came & we ate. Ray was to work. Jerry went to United Fund meeting. I went to hospital. They were feeding Ivard through veins & pumping is Stomach. I cam home at 9: & slept until work.
